This review is for TABOR TOOLS Folding Saw with 8 Inch Curved Blade and Rugged Grip Handle, Hand Saw for Pruning Trees, Trimming Branches, Camping, Clearing Forest Trails. TTS25A. (Curved Blade 8 Inch). It’s an awesome saw! I bought it last year and have used it many times to remove branches. It hasn’t gotten dull or rusted yet! It is light and so easy to use. Just pull the blade out, let it lock into position and cut. I was able to cut down an 8″ cherry tree that was diseased in no time even though they said it can cut up to 4″ diameter. The curve blade is ergonomically designed to work perfectly when pulling back the blade on the draw stroke. Most of the time, I do use it on smaller branches and this thing can cut them all like butter. The grip on it is very good and has never slipped on me. I was using a pruning lopper before on large branches and while it’s possible to do, this folding saw does it so much easier with less effort. The cut is also very clean, causing less damage to the plant. The saw is very easy to open and close with the lock on the handle. When I’m done using it I can fold it back into place and store it securely. Overall, I really love this folding saw and I use it often around the yard along with my hand pruners and loppers to limb up trees and shrubs. It’s a tool every avid gardener should have on hand. I would definitely recommend it and would give it a solid 5.0/5.0 – 09/03/2022

This saw is awesome. I made about 10 cuts through a 6inch diameter tree with no trouble .
I snapped the end off the saw on a forward stroke, it bends very easily.
It would be great but I can’t find any replacement blades.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI would have given this saw 5 stars had it not been for a safety issue. When the blade is closed it is not fully recessed in the handle. It is easy to pick the saw up when the blade is closed and find that your fingers are in contact with the teeth points – THEY ARE EXTEREMELY SHARP ! ! ! ! !

    No… I didn’t cut up a whole tree, but
I did strip all the branches off of a Douglas fur when my chainsaw broke down. If you’re buying this as a backpack tool, I highly recommend it.

This was a fantastic saw, for as long as it lasted. Cut through some of the medium sized branches on my oak tree with ease, but sometimes the teeth did get caught. Warning: this is an extremely sharp saw. Unfortunately, it didn’t last; after a few hours’ work we leaned too hard on it and the tip broke. It still works, but it’s shorter than it was. I say it’s our fault more than the saw.

This saw is everything I had hoped for,a perfect light weight pruning saw. I do not think the saw can handle a four inch branch because the blade is lightweight and a D handle would be better for larger branches.

As soon as I received the saw, I used it on some bushes that had turned to trees. I cut so many limbs that there is a huge pile of them now at the curb for pick up by the city. I was impressed at the speed of the tool cutting limbs faster than my helpers could haul them away. More trimming to come as the yard is starting to shape up and look good in short order !

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis saw is amazing. I have sawed down several trees with 5-6″ trunks with ease. Please read the info they send as their suggestions are excellent.
The lock is very secure thus sometimes difficult to release, hence the 4*. The blade is extremely sharp so be careful when unlocking.
I am a 71 year old woman who still does much garden work and this is superior to my old saw. I was tempted to get the larger bladed saw but figured I should avoid larger trees.
The red handle makes it easy to spot when it’s on the ground. It is also very comfortable to hold and doesn’t slip. The pull action on this saw very effective.
I also recommend their loppers. Very sharp and cut 2″ vines, stems, etc.

Used this folding saw a couple of days after I got it. Easily cut branches (up to 2″ thick) on a small tree in the yard. The saw is light, but strong. The lock keeps the saw open when in use or closed when stored, until you engage the unlocking tab. The handle allows you to have a good grip while you work.

This a perfect size. I keep this in my horn bag while riding horses. As we rode this past weekend, we ran into a downed tree blocking the trail with no option around it.. I had previously used every saw I own to cut back an azalea that had significant die off. When they failed I purchased this little pruning saw. It is small enough to access dead branches in tight places and strong enough to remove material with minimal effort. (Azalea is recovering nicely!) The spring release that opens the blade is a little stiff, but the saw itself delivers a clean cut with several pulls.

This is a great little saw for either clearing some limbs in the backyard or taking on a hiking/camping trip. It is lightweight yet cuts very effectively. I have tried several of these folding saws and this one with the curved blade is the best. The curve helps to make it easier to saw so you don’t have to put as much pressure on the saw. This is very helpful if you are cutting several pieces of wood for a fire. Excellent for a backpack accessory – lightweight and effective.

I can’t believe how fast this saw cuts. It’s amazing. I use my chainsaw half as much as I used to. Wish I had bought one of these 20 years ago. Today I’m going to try using it to hand-cut some rafter tails because it’s so much sharper and faster cutting than my Japanese pull saw, even with twice the kerf.

Just one very minor imperfection: the blade is somewhat flexible, so it tends to catch the handle when folding it back in, so you have to guide it in the slot with a little care. No big deal. Otherwise this thing is basically perfect. My favorite new garden tool.

One bit of advice: assuming the blade is similar to the Japanese pull saws I’ve used over the years, I’d advise people to be very careful with the teeth. Hitting one embedded nail in a piece of wood or chunk of concrete next to a stump will instantly damage the blade and leave you with a tool that cuts a lot slower. Replacement blades don’t seem to be available (if they are, comment with a link!)

Fanastic tool! Tabor tools are a little expensive but man are they worth it. I just bought 5 acres of which about 2 to 2-1/2 needs to be cleared out. I was hesitant to spend this kind of money, but it’s well worth it. Any other gardening tools I need I’ll definitely be going through Tabor.

It exceeded my expectations. I saw a garden show where the gardener used a similar saw. I did not believe it could be that easy to cut a shrub/tree limb. So I when in search and decided on the Tabor.

I had a shrub that had grown over tall and the limbs had gotten thick. The saw cut thru It so easily, gave me more confidence in the garden. I can cut back overgrown shrubs or tree limbs with ease. It is a must have.

It is a very convenient tool for cutting vine off my trees in my yard. I have a small home in Connecticut in a wooded neighborhood and we are battling several species of invasive vines that wrap around our trees and ultimately kill them.
I bought this saw to cut all of them in my yard and it worked very well.

The reason why I do not give it 5 stars is that I find it very hard to unfold, which I find rather dangerous.

This little saw is a beast! I took it to use on a Habitat for Humanity build in Romania, where tools can be scarce. This little bugger will do its best to cut through anything, from PVC pipe, to drywall to 2×4’s. Initially some thought it was silly hanging from my belt, but before the week was over they were coming up to ask me if they could borrow it. The red is a nice touch, as it makes it easier to find on the worksite. I really cannot think of anything bad to say about it, sorry!

I am impressed with the quality, design and function of this tool. I needed a blade that was sharp and durable enough to cut/remove branches, small trees. Overall, I hate to remove any tree however this one sprung up and flourished nicely. too bad it was too close to the neighbors fence and over a drain line. That’s mother nature…. The blade cut through with ease. tackled the base and branches were anywhere from 1/2″-5″. I have used it on pine tree branches as well.Overall, it is a great blade to utilize in the yard. The company even sends cutting tips for use. This blade is extremely sharp so use it with care.

As others have noted, these cut quickly and easily. I trimmed several 3 inch thick branches and dozens of 1 to 3 inch branches with these. I found this tool easier than brand new lopping shears on the larger branches. TIP – on large branches, cut about 1 inch deep on the BOTTOM side of the branch about 1 inch farther away from the trunk than where you’ll make your final cut from the top. That prevents the branch from peeling the bark off of the tree when the branch snaps under its own weight. The tree will thank you for that!

Beat my expectations all around, even after I read the positive reviews. The teeth are great for hard cutting (not fine enough for delicate cuts), the curve is great, the unfolded length feels good, the grip feels good, and unlike some models mine latches both open and shut.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI had an old hand saw trying to cut a thick branch of a lilacs, but I gut utterly unsuccessful. I thought about borrowing a chainsaw, but searching Amazon I saw that this Folding Saw (Tabor) has good reviews, so I took my chance. When I received it, I followed the description as to how to use the saw. I was amazingly successful. It saws much better than I imagined it. Hopefully unlike all of our electronic devices, doesn’t need an upgrade, and will last for a long time. Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersSo far ….So good….I have used it a few times and it has cut through like a knife through butter! The blade locks closed which is great for saving space….The blade also locks in place in full open position and so far both the blade and the handle are seeming to be strong and durable which is great too….This replaces a different compact saw where the blades (they were interchangeable) and the handle were flimsy and couldn’t handle any amount of pressure used during the saw process….which one time the blade got snagged and the handle snapped as it was merely thin and cheap plastic….This saw has so far been a great replacement! At first I wasn’t so sure about the curved blade….but after using it it actually feels like it might make the cuts faster and less effort on the stroke. And its a lot nicer to handle ( and storage space is way less….) than having to bust out the full sized hacksaw or wood cutting saw…( which can be big and clumsy especially when the cutting process is a small branch or something where there isn’t much room for a saw itself or a blade from a wood cutting saw.) I am happy with the saw so far as it seems to be built sturdy enough for regular use with the blade doing the work and both the blade and handle being strong enough for when some pressure is applied to guide through the item being sawed through. Seems to be a great option for the price range too.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI an a 76 yr old woman, not particularly handy and was pleasantly surprised at how effective the hand saw was. I pruned up a storm and will look forward to using it next year, too. Simple design that works!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersHusband found it a useful saw to tidy up the garden shrubs and trees. He says it can jump sometimes on uneven bark. He found another use – removing weeds in between the brick paving! It stores away safely by folding the blade into the handle piece, takes less room than our previous saw.

Nice compact and razor sharp saw. While it is small enough to fit in a large pocket the only improvement would be to make a sheath for it that can hang on your belt.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI suspect some are trying to decide between a well known SILKY, or something a bit less expensive. I also bought a Silky PocketBoy Curve at the same time I bought this Tabor. Never hurts to have an extra, so I gave this Tabor TTS25A a shot. Hey, for $16 I felt is was worth a try. The Silky is $44 bucks. Yes, 2.75 times more. Yes the Silky seems to be made better, but I gotta tell you this Tabor TTS25A exceeded my expectations. It locks in place as firmly as the Silky and seems to have similar ergonomics. I suspect the Silky is better Stainless and may be tougher overall, but for occasional use I don’t believe you can beat the value of this Tabor TTS25A at $16..

I suspect the Silky will stand up to hard use better & may last longer. Perhaps the patented blade/saw geometry will stay sharp longer. The Silky does come with a plastic clamshell, but I’m thinking it has limited use.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI needed a good quality folding saw for my go-bag and Tabor Tools delivered! This little saw is the shizzle. Cuts like a dream and folds up nice and compact. I’ll be buying a couple more for family and friends for their go-bags in the very near future. I’m extremely pleased with this purchase! Thanks Tabor Tools! You guys are awesome!

It is easy to unlock and the teeth are razor sharp, for smooth easy cuts. Much better than the Fiskor that I previously had with a button to push to open, was always hard to do with gloves on. Comfortable grip too.

Die Sge ist sehr scharf und sgt gut durch ste.
Die Gre ist fr den Kleingarten vllig ausreichend, auch um Obstbume zu schneiden.
Sie liegt gut in der Hand und ich wrde sie wieder kaufen.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersHave cut a few trees with this on the trail, cuts fast and as easy as can be for a small folding saw! No complaints here! Cut this tree in half and all the branches and was able to roll it off trail.

Great saw! Teeth are super sharp and cuts through hardwood logs with relative ease. The quality is there. The locking mechanism is great as well as the grip. My only issue was that even closed you need to handle it with caution as you can still get cut by this saw when it is closed.
