Excellent value. Treat yourself. For a few extra dollars, you get a much better product that will last for years. Get them sharpened every now and again. Clean and dry them and they’re good to go!

The quality of this tool is excellent. There is so much junk made in china because they copy all legitimate brands to put excellent companies out of business It has all become a race to the bottom for quality. I was so tired of wasting money I found “Cultivate”, a Mark Cuban development, that tells me where products were really made. It is a Chrome extension or an IOS App. In fact Cultivate is the only reason I ever use Chrome as a browser. It immediately identified the country of origin for this product as Japan. That alone made me want to buy it. It should last for many decades, with far better quality then any I have ever used or seen before. Buy it.

Excellent secateurs for garden pruning. I use these for my fine pruning and grafting. I use my other pruners for landscape pruning , although you could use these for all your pruning needs . They arrived razor sharp . The blade is removable for sharpening. Heavy duty release button .8 inches large with looks like a grey enamel finish on the handles. The grip is comfortable and ergonomic. They came with a extra spring, I followed another reviewers advice and epoxied the spring in place at the bottom. Have not lost the spring yet. You should buy your pruners from Tonma fulfilled by Amazon so you are sure to get genuine secateurs made in Japan. Seller Tonma is responsive to your inquiries, mine was answered within 24 hours.
These things are SHARP. I found that they cut without even closing the blades together so you have to be careful or you will become a plant killer lol! I should have paid attention that there is a smaller size for those with more petite hands. If I ever need another pair then I will buy the gray handled ones for smaller hands. I was shopping for a quality pruner and was having a hard time. I prefer non Chinese made items but we all know how that goes. A well known F brand seems to have declining reviews of their products. I saw another brand made in Denmark but they were a little pricey for me. These seemed to be a good fit as they were reasonable and I have always thought highly of Japanese products. When shopping for more gardening tools I will check this brand first.
