I was a little apprehensive about fitting these before I bought them. To be honest I expected to pay twice this much for something, I chose the heaviest duty version, they have been excellent – no real issues, others than a little checking on my part with customer support, how I have to say has been superb. 24 hr response to questions and very helpful informative answers – would definitely buy agai

I installed it myself, and I am very happy with the quality and the fact that you can order extra parts like the key fobs and keypad which works really well
It was the first time that I had installed electric gates (I am a qualified electrician NICEIC registered) They were very easy to install especially the plug in electrical connections. You do have to make sure that that distances from the hinges to the arm are correct as illustrated in the manual. I got mine wrong first time and had to redrill the fixing bolts. My only complaint is that the plug in connector box is too small for all cables especially when you have the entry push buttons, photo cell and wand connected. There was a problem with the photo cell, but the after service was great and a new circuit board delivered free of charge after running through all the possible faults with Zack. Everything is working fine with no other issues
Brilliant value for money. This is a visual deterrent as much as anything, to reduce temptation and indicate that we are security aware. It would not withstand a determined attempt to break-in. Works great though – and easily adjusted etc.
These were bought as a upgrade to my older units that had stopped working due to weight.
The sensors on the actuator need to be spot on in there adjustment or it will not work properly.
The 5 core flex supplied is not long enough and there is no flex supplied for any of the additional parts in the pack. All in all. Now they work after hours of fettling I’d of bought a more basic set up if I’d know
Unfortunately i have yet to install these due to high winds taking off one of my wooden gates and leaving the other questionable to its reliability but upon unboxing them they seem made out of really good quality and durable stuff.
included is everything you need including the arms, push button key fobs, amber warning lights and sensors. Also included is manual keys in case of a malfunction or if you have misplaces the fob.
The arms are very heavy indeed which make me think of when i can afford to replace the posts and the gates that we my replace with metal over wood. Although i couldn’t foresee a problem with good quality wood and carpentry.
Instructions are clear and it seems simple to put on. Don’t feel like we need to call in a professional as long s you know some basic electrics and DIY confident.
on the basis of this i would happily recommend due to how the quality is and how the general electrics look but will update when we get them on.
I have had this gate opener for a few months now, it was straight forward to install once I decided the best place to install. Admittedly I had an issue with one motor out of the package, however the customer service from Topens was fantastic. They responded within 24hrs every time and they sent me out a new motor straight away, no quibble at all. My other half loves now being able to open the gates from a button and our little boy loves pressing the button each time even more!! Best purchase for a long time.
– This is superb value for money with everything you need included in the box.
– Chloe at Topens has been amazing and answered my questions via email (within 12 hours every time!) It is reassuring to have an expert available whenever you need support.
– The range on the handheld transmitters is fantastic and I can control the gates from inside my house (our driveway is quite long so I really wasn’t expecting this).
– I have installed (optional) wireless keypads either side of the gate so that tradesmen can let themselves in and out. These are heavy duty and work well.
– The system isn’t visible from the exterior of the property which I really like.
– I’ve managed to hide most of the wiring on the side return which makes it look a lot smarter. The only junction box is on the slave gate (I managed to use a 100 x 100mm exterior enclosure for this purpose).
– My installation has taken a little longer as I did not have existing wiring under the driveway. I’ve included some photos of the channel across the driveway. I laid the cable through 25mm conduit and then concreted (and will tarmac) over the top. Getting cable through a conduit pipe: a really useful tip is to tie a small bit of plastic bag to a child’s kite string and use a vacuum cleaner to suck the string through the conduit. This can then be used to pull your cables through.
– Having read other reviews I bought additional 5 core cable but didn’t use this in the end, there was enough in the box, 5 core flex (0.75mm minimum) is about 1 per meter so really not a problem if you do need more. You’ll need to go to a decent electrical wholesaler for this.
– I was able to use quick clamps to setup and test the gate before bolting into place, this is a great feature and means you can get your installation just right.
– I bought the A8132 as I wanted the extra strength and durability of the uprated machine. In time, I also want to be able to add other functions such as the lock and exit wand which you can’t do with the cheaper units.
I took my time to set this system up and I am delighted with the end result. I have a few more jobs to do to finish the installation but this has transformed my driveway at a fraction of the price of other systems.

This electric gate arm set is brilliant. Totally everything you would ever need to electrify your gates.
Firstly the main control box is very compact and has a number of outputs to control lights, sensors and even locking drop bolt mechanism.
There is a UPS box also meaning that you can connect auxiliary power such as battery or solar so that even if you have a power cut the gates will still operate as normal. I’ve not seen this before.
Included in the kit are 2 gate arms, mounting brackets, beam safety sensors. Flashing light when being operated, 2x remote control fobs. Literally everything you could need to electrify your gates.
The swing arm are powerful enough for gates upto 5.5m per leaf. Mine are only 3m each but are solid wood and probably weigh a good 250-300kg each. The gate arms operate these with ease, as all the weight is on the mounted gate hinge. There is plenty of swing length on the gate arms for full range of motion.
It was relatively easy to follow installation, the booklet shows wiring diagrams and has good images on several installation options.
The whole set seems to be pretty well made and durable, only time will tell. I have not connected up the UPS but may do this later if I can get a weather proof box for storing the auxiliary batteries.
If there was one small item that would benefit the kit it would be pinch point sensors that stop the gates from crushing. For the price of just over 400 this kit is certainly worth that. I have seen many more expensive and less comprehensive kits on the market.
We ordered from Amazon and delivery was prompt.
They were packaged well and plenty of easy to follow instructions which meant they were fitted in no time. We also ordered the wireless keypad which is also easy to pair and works well.
Very pleased and would recommend.
I haven’t yet installed this double gate opening kit. This is a comprehensive set with everything required. However, I fear my DIY skills, and particularly dealing with the power supply, may be inadequate. As a result I will probably get the unit professionally installed.
I will update my review when this happens. In the meantime the kit seems to be of high quality with thorough instructions. I like the range of additional accessories in particular which allow for fitting in almost all circumstances.
More in due course. For now a solid four stars.

I researched gate openers a lot before buying Topens and have to say it was time well spent. On a couple of occasions i asked questions of the support team and was totally surprised by next day i had a complete and detailed reply.
Great Service and will buy from Topens again…..purchased electric lock also!
It looks like everything is there, but it willing take me some time still before I install as for now I’ll give it 4 . But once install, I’ll do an update. And let you’ll know, if they deserve to get a 5

So it’s have been about a month sense I have purchased this gate opener. And two things I don’t like, one is the control box.
It’s to small, as there are not sufficient room in the box to connect all of the accessory. So I had to add a extra box to accommodate them.
The next thing is the extension cable for the next aim, it was to short and i had to purchase more cable and install a splitter box to join the cable together.
So other than this the gate have been working as it should.
If they will correct those things, it will get a 5 but as for now, I’ll leave it as 4
So, today is June 16th 2022, and it has been about six months now since I have install this gate. And it is running really nice, and between that time and now. I had one issue with the light which was not blinking but just staying on.
But I contacted customer service and Zack was really helpful by guided me through troubleshooting steps and when that did not work, he arrange and sent me a new light. Which was really good customer service, and I thank him. Good product and great customer service
Easily automatically opens and closes large pair of Iroko hardwood gates. Very pleasing result and excellent customer service backup too!
Bought these to attach to my newly installed metal gates, i found them easy to install onto the gates, and to connect up electrically was straightforward. they have been in operation for over a month with no issues so far.
