I live in a small flat with low light problems!!
I love to take loads of videos and photos for my cats and this is super useful, the battery lasted so long without the need to charge it for couple of months now!
Good light great for videos and pics. Took me a while to figure out as instructions weren’t that clear but it is gooooood. Batter life could be a bit longer tho
I bought this because it was recommended as being portable and also very well made. Correct on both points, it’s a metal chassis but a very small form factor, essentially because it’s all light with a very slim surround. Apart from a wide range of colour temperatures, it has effects allowing solid colours. Excellent value, I haven’t tried it yet with a diffuser, because the one disadvantage is it’s a fairly small light source so really needs some diffusion. Good enough to add a second for extra flexibility.
What more can I say really, it’s versatility is amazing. You can walk up to a subject and just place this discreet mic on them. It’s saved me at some recent events! Great buy worth it!
I was VERY impressed when this arrived. It’s super bright even at a low setting and the build quality is absolutely solid. You won’t regret it, it’s one of my better Amazon purchases.

The standard blurb – it’s well made, has all the colours, good amplification, Simply does a good job. USB-C charging helps.
The non standard blurb – well, you can do whatever you want with it. And it WILL do the job. It’s not some plastic crap you get from random sellers. I used it as a modelling light for a video for about 3h and the battery lasted just over that. given it’s size? not much more to say. I could probably do the usual “YouTube reviewer kind of thing” with stats, and comparison, and measurements… but you know what? Most of us don’t know anything about that. This works and it works well. Colours are great. Controls are simple to use. It’s ace. #justbuyit (I did not get paid for this lol)
I use this as a camera light as a part of a 3 light video setup using other lights as wider fills (soft boxes). It covers all the colour temperatures and is a great bit of kit.
I love these little led lights, so much so I just bought a second one in the Prime Day sale, the first one was full price but well worth it.
Originally I was looking at the led tube lights but they seem to be only 8watts, where as this little unit is 12watts. Very small but very very powerful.

A very neat and very well made video light. I’ve only used it once on a commercial shoot – as I’ve only had it a few weeks and things are still adjusting as we come out of lock-down. It’s a great bit of kit. The controls give a lot of different light options, it’s small and versatile enough to use in all sorts of situations. It is really quite bright for a small lighting unit. I know not everyone is a fan of internal batteries – but this charges quite quickly and lasts for quite a reasonable amount of time. The cost is very reasonable for such a well built light. If I had to be ultra critical the on/off switch is my least favourite part and feels a little cheaper than the general build and the rest of the dials etc.
An excellent piece of kit. A diffuser would have been handy…
It’s small so small but man it’s got some punch … great little gadget currently using for macro photography.. not on par with a flash bit deffo enough to get that faster shutter speed or dof.
If you need a light for spot work, this is excellent. Battery last a while, charges quickly using usb-c and has a good range of brightness and colour.
It’s a pleasure to use and I bought 2 of them to use in the studio.

Actually bought this light to use with a digital stills camera rather than video, but I must admit I’m very impressed with it’s versatility and light output.
It’s just a bit bigger than a large smartphone, so it’s not going to flood the entire room with light, but it’s a great additional tool to use with flash/speedlights for creative effects.
Great control of colour temperature, hue and saturation. The folding arm is threaded to attach to tripods etc.

What a great little light. Bought it on a bit of a whim and didn’t know how much use it would see but it is a fantastic bit of kit with many uses. It works well as a fill light, is also used as a main light for close up work and a mood light to enhance a background.
I also take it out in the field as it is perfect for adding a highlight or lifting a shadow. Battery time is quite good and has the advantage of a USB port so I can charge it from a power bank.
The special effect settings haven’t had much use but I can see them coming in handy on occasion.
The build quality is solid and the mounting arm is really useful with both a shoe mount, a couple of quarter inch sockets.
Excellent little light and I’ll be picking up another one very soon.

Really happy with this pocket light. Its powerful and adds some fun to video work. This is great mounted on camera or had held. Its pocket size, so dont expect a flood light, but im very impressed 🙂

Wow, I’m very impressed with every aspect of this light. The build quality is great and it performs incredibly well. I used the light for the first time on a shoot today and having the light set at 40% was bright enough. The range of tone and colour options are also great, as well it’s easy to use set-up. I also love that it comes with a couple of connector options, both handy. Even the power lead being USB is a big plus as I can charge it with my mobile charger if it ever ran out of battery mid location location. On top of that, it comes with a nice carry case. Very happy with my purchase 🙂
From the package until the last detail, is a great product. Solid built, professional feeling when work with, this is an amazing asset to carry in your backpack, as a photographer or videographer. The quality of the light is superb. The smoothness between color shades among the specter, the wide range of whites, I cannot wish more. I fully recommend this jewel.
This is a good little light for macro photography since it has such fine control over brightness and colour temperature. It works well on the most basic of Joby tripods because you can set the legs widely enough to stabilise the light when it is rotated out from a central position.
The one thing I had an issue with is the power switch, which I couldn’t get to work. I was able to remedy this with a very small spray of WD40 and it now works perfectly.
Works as intended and no problems so far. Will update if anything goes wrong.
It is perfect for doing my long exposure light shots, it is so bright when I’m wanting that extra bit of brightness.
I had been looking at a few more expensive brands for a compact and versatile video/photo light, but this one seemed to tick all the boxes, with the flexibility of a full RGB light to vary the colour temperature and various ‘effects’ as well as, a long battery life (more than most), robust aluminium body, built in mounting arm, coldshoe mount and ball head. It is very bright and has a nice little display on the back telling you function you are in/colour temperature, brightness level and remaining battery. Others have mentioned about a VERY high pitch whistle when at low power, and this is something that I can also hear when at 30% power or below, but it is very quiet and I do have to have it at about 5cm or closer to my ear to even hear, and goes immediately and completely at higher power levels more than 30%. And I do find the power switch a little awkward to turn on off, it is a very flush slider with little grip, but that is it..all other aspects of the light are great.
The instruction leaflet is inadequate with too many unexplained abbreviations.

Bought for taking fishing photos at night when flash speed isnt upto the task.
Very bright at night, illuminates the whole scene making it so much easier to photograph the catches alone at night, and set up the shot and move around safely without to much disturbance.
Great depth of colour spectrum. Unit does not get too hot either and easily recharged.
Lighting bright and dimmable in 1% steps from 100 – 1. Colours adjustable to any colour and brightness with pure clear hues across the spectrum.. Solid and neat design.

I was doubtful at first but these lights are of incredible quality well worth the price as compare to others. Good solid case, sensible controls and easy charging. I bought two and so far perform as expected and at almost half the the price of the Aputure MC Mini.
Light performance and functionality is great but battery life is not great. It gets you around 30-40 minutes in full brightness. For some shoots is okay but for studio shoots where I use it as a background light or youtube is not enough.
These are really well designed. Compact yet bright. Good to have the two modes, between white with colour temperature change or RGB covering all colours. Tripod mounting good. Needs a fair bit of charging, when in use have found I need to keep them on charge the whole time to avoid them getting drained, they maybe last 1.5hrs on a charge. I bought two of them and they have performed above expectation, so recommended. I did extensive research before buying!!

Nice and bright, versatile with its colours and special feature modes. The battery life also seems to be pretty good. I’m using it for Youtube videos and as things stand I would be happy to buy another of these when the time comes. Very happy.

This was an excellent buy. I was looking for a good small light with RGB capabilities. This had good reviews on Youtube but I was concerned that at under half the price of a branded LED light it would not be up to much. I can confirm this is an excellent light, impressed with the aluminium build quality and swivel bracket, solid buttons and accuracy of the colour temperature and useful mounting accessories. I will mostly use this for colouring my backgrounds but I’m most impressed with it mounted as a small key light too. Variable colour temperatures and also a full range of RGB colours. So easy to use the functions I did not even read the manual. Well packaged and arrived one day earlier than indicated. In this picture the light is set to only 9% brightness in a daylight room. I had to turn it right down to photograph it on camera. Most importantly it is silent too. Could not be more pleased with this purchase of the G1s RGB Video Light.
You can use the light to correct white balance by changing the kelvin temperature of the LEDs, which will be really handy for my night time Wedding shoots, where I need a constant fill light from the front, whilst back-lighting with my flash. The LEDs are really powerful too, so you could even use it during daylight to fill.
You can also use the coloured LEDs to create some really unique shots during Bridal prep or if you are doing some product photography. The LED transitions between RGB with lots of different shades to choose from. You could also use the light to change the colour of objects behind the subject, to make them really stand out!
The build quality of the light panel is excellent and is mainly aluminium and solid plastic. The package includes a nice soft bag for transportation and some hot/cold shoe adapters, so you can fix it to your camera or a light stand fairly easily. It also has a diffusion material over the LEDs to prevent harsh light.
The battery life is great and the charge time is reasonable too.
I’m definitely going to pick up another in the future so I can try some new things out with two different colours at once and at this price you can’t really go wrong!

The light has few effects inside. Like police/ambulance, tv, candle. RGB effect is dope for a youtube video, colours changes slowly, looks very good in the background.
It’s a bi colour light. So You can choose from 2500 to 8500 kelvin.
The light came with carry bag, small ball head and USB c cable. Love USB c cable for charging. For me, it’s a game-changer.
I noticed one small problem with metal rotate arm. A cold shoe mount is a bit to narrow to place a mic. But for me, it’s not a biggie, ill be using it handheld majority of the time anyways.
The brightness of this light is amazing. You could be in a pitch black room and get some amazing photography shots. It also dims enough from 100 percent to 1 percent so you can find that perfect lighting setting! Also you can scroll through lots of RGB colours! Would definitely recommend.
Great product. Cheaper than the the previous version Pixel G1. More features but heavier and bulkier, yet the the addition of the swivel is a good update.

Been using this for a while and it’s great! Easy to use to light a shoot quickly and has some cool effects as well, like lightning and a police light. Having the ability to shine any colour or light temperature takes shoots to a new level. Fully metal construction which feels sturdy and hard waring. Definitely recommend.
Great product. However, it can get hot to the touch when in prolonged use. Great flexibility though.
They have made many improvements with the follow up.

Now onto the main bit, the functions and light. It is amazing!! The brightness blew me away and the control over the temperate and color make it an absolute winner. I can use it for my product videography or interviews, it is so versatile. There are even strobe functions. To be honest, I didn’t read about all the functions when I brought it, I just knew I wanted a light I could control the colour, but I spent the first couple hours boring my wife showing her everything it did. I love that it comes with USB C and can be charged in the car or plugged in. In can even use to charge a mobile phone ….what!!!!!
I actually just got an NPF batter with USB out and DC. I could run my whole rig of it. However, the battery life on this little winner is brilliant. as well.
The back display is really useful and easy to see and the overall size is brilliant as well. It’s about the size of your hand and so easy to fit in my camera bag.
I really can’t fault it. It is my favorite light I have at the moment because I can do so much with it.

The light comes well packaged and with some good accessories.
There is an included soft pouch for storage, a charging cable (usb 2 to usb-c m) and a hot-shoe adapter to mount on a camera.
The light is extremely well built from what I believe is aluminium with a soft, defused from plastic cover.
There is a nice lcd display to show settings and also some really nice dials to change the settings and function. These twistable dials are easy to use and have a nice “click” between steps, which is a step up from other lights I’ve used with normally have small buttons.
The size of the light is great, and is a good size bigger than others like my previous Viltrox which helps light spread over a bigger area when lighting closer objects for macro etc.
There is a really handy arm on the bottom which is great for using the light with a tripod or on a gimbal such as the osmo mobile. It has a secondary hot-shoe style connector for then mounting a mic
All in all, this is a fantastic light and well worth the price when compared to competitors.
