Excellent tool…. think of a mini pick axe. Great for weeding, breaking up heavy borders and hacking away at root systems.
I found out about this tool while browsing gardening tools. I had never heard of seen of one before which is annoying as it is that versatile and easily used.
I would recommend this for anyone working on garden borders or creating a new border. It easily rips into the soil with little strength being needed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Why wasn't I told about this years ago ?

It’s early days yet but I am pleased with the product. I have use it in the garden to loosen stubborn roots and loosen soil.
It is easy on the wrists which is good. Could come in handy in the winter to chip away icy paths.

I have reduced strength and dexterity in my hands because of arthritis, but have such a lot of rough gardening to do this year my husband uses a full size mattock on all the heavy clumps and stones, so I thought this worth a try to be more independent, as he’s got do much else to do!
That second bed was full of nettles, couch and some other deep rooted rosette weed that I’m NOT going to allow to get a hold ! It was clear in less than half an hour, and I weeded from a deck chair that I moved round the bed. The next bed had heavy nettle/ couch infestation between young blueberry plants – this was delicate enough to get a huge % of the weeds, and the deep roots out, without damaging the bushes.
I found it light enough to use, I didn’t have to carry lots of tools round to get deeper purchase below the roots, it was delicate enough to use between plants and I LOVE it!

5.0 out of 5 stars It works brilliantly.

As a lady, I needed something fairly lightweight and this mattock is perfect. I have been taking out dogwood roots and it has made the job so easy. Easily the best tool I’ve bought for years. Seems to be very good quality and the cover means that my other tools don’t get damaged. Some reviews of other mattocks say the head comes loose, but not with this brand due to the wider end so it can’t slip off. Good grip on the handle too. Fantastic tool! Highly recommended

Nice size, well balanced head, it has a bright comfortable handle, head is easily removed. There was a bit of movement in the head out of the box but a tap on the ground tightened it up. I haven’t used it in the field yet but happy with it so far. Comes with a plastic removable head cover.

I used this mini pick axe to remove some rocks from my lawn and it worked exceptionally well. On arrival the head is only loosely attached to the handle so it must be fitted properly before use. I would have liked it if the handle was just a bit thicker for extra grip. Overall a decent product that I’m glad I purchased.

    Handy with a solid build.

I bought this for my elderly mum. She wanted a really small mattock style tool to hack around in the flower beds with.
verdict is pretty good. It appears to be built relatively well. Although time will tell if the business end of the tool will flake and rust.
Strong enough to churn up mud etc. Light enough for an old biddy to use without killing themselves.

It is the right size for the hand root removal, I have a full size mattock, but sometimes too large for kneeling work.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is fantastic, has made certain jobs in the garden a lot easier. Everything about it is perfect.

The cover that it came with, the flat part had been sliced by the blade. Its no problem, I just noticed it, it’s still usable.

    Top produc

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersA great tool for removing roots and clearing ground. Light and small enough to use but not too heavy. I needed a tool to clear a bed of bushes to enable a new fence to be erected. This made short work of removing the roots of the plants. Highly recommended.
