I bought this for chopping up palettes, old furniture and branches for firewood, as well as general work where out of easy reach of an electric cable, such as lopping large branches from trees where the chainsaw doesn’t work well.

So far, it seems to do the job well, powering through the firewood chores with no problem. The only ‘flaw’ is that the soleplate isn’t the most secure thing. It hasn’t fallen out yet, but it wobbles a lot as if it’s going to. It doesn’t seem to affect functionality though. The battery lasted long enough that when I finished my stint for the day after half an hour, it was still showing over half full. Maybe if I was using it for a day’s work rather than just a domestic chore, then then I’d need a spare battery or two, depending on how much it was being used.

Update: Changing blades is easy to do. The battery life is still fine for our needs. I find my arm gets tired before the battery is flat. Oddly, my handsaw cut through wood a lot quicker than this, which surprised me, but the handsaw is more tiring.

What a piece of kit, should have purchased one years ago. Made light work of topping my laurel hedge and 4AH battery lasts for a very long time.

This is far better and cheaper then the leading brands people who have written bad reviews clearly don’t know how to use it the way it should be used in work in construction and it by far better then most brands why spend a fortune on high brands when you can get this for cheaper price and better produc

Great product, the only thing that let’s it down is the battery used now a few times, got about half a hour on a full charge each time

Quite heavy to use and tiring on arm. Works effectively to cut thick wood. Haven’t had to recharge yet after fully charging when received. Good to come with different blades. Well packaged and has instruction booklet. Comes with charger.

Good powerful cutter, I took down 30foot conifers and is removed the medium sized trunks well.Saved me hiring a chain saw,and I still have saw for further use.

I’ve never used one of these before so can only judge by this one. I was able to do the work I needed to do well. Sawing up 4×2 timbers and some thick branches. Haven’t tried through metal yet but can’t see why it wouldn’t do just as good a job.

Bought for conservation work needed a large capacity battery because there’s no charging points out in the field

Bought this for general use including tree cutting and it’s brilliant the battery last for ages and the power it delivers is very good I managed to lop a large willow tree ready for spring and it chomped though branches that were a good few inches thick

This is just what I needed in the garden to cut through things which are too tough for secateurs and not big enough to use the chain saw on. Really convenient to use. Surprisingly powerful and after 2 apple trees the battery was still showing full charge. It’s not too heavy to operate and can be used single handed without a problem. So far so good, very pleased with this.

Like this, cuts through small branches etc, battery lasts well, although another one would be useful, cost I suppose, overall very pleased.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThe saw does exactly what I ask of it, good speed of cut, easy to use, not to heavy and reliable. The only downside of the purchase is that you can’t buy spare batteries, so if you are halfway through a job and it goes flat, it’s either get out your handsaw or wait for it to charge and finish off the job tomorrow.

It’s one of those tools that does exactly what it says. Its both powerful and light enough to use with one hand and the different blades it comes with means its both versatile and its so easy to change a blade.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersWe purchased this for use at the end of our garden where we keep our wood in our old shed – unfortunately there’s no electricity there so it used to mean running an extension lead down to it which was a bit of a pain.

This saw provides the freedom of being cordless, which is much less hassle for us. It’s supplied in a plastic case and is simple to fit the blades ready for use. You can control the speed with the trigger, and it works exactly the same, and as well, as the corded saw we were previously using. We’re really happy with this, every bit as good as the corded one but much easier for us to use. It’s a good weight – not too flimsy feeling but not so heavy it’s a pain to use.

Charging time is about 2 hours, and I’ve run the saw for 30 minutes or so in one hit. There’s 4 supplied blades which are decent quality and have no problem cutting through wood. We are pleased with this for the money.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI like the saw, it’s nice and light to use. The only thing the makers could do is put more metal blades. This is not stopping me using the saw.

Really good product, powerful and the battery lasts. Cordless design saves you having to get the extension lead out everytime you need to cut some firewood.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersA very handy lightweight tool for the garden.
I have already used it for trimming old tree stumps/roots too close to the ground for my chainsaw, and trimming fence posts. The more I use it the more I like it.
