    Amazon is dumb, they are asking my to rate the wifi signal from this wired router. Next they will ask about the picture quality for an audiobook. Anyway, I’ve been using this for about a month now, and haven’t had any troubles with it. I have 5 security cameras, a dvr, and a connection to the rest of my network plugged in, and there haven’t been any glitches. The only downside that I can think of is that there is a slight hum coming from the box, but it’s only noticeable if everything else in the area is off, so generally not a problem. I do wonder what is causing that, since there is no fan.

    Excellent network switch.
    Pros:
    -Totally silent, no fan that keeps going
    -small
    -plug and go-

    Cons: only a few ports, but that is what are buying.

    I have a PoE cctv camera and a NAD and a few other bits and pieces hanging off this. When you switch it on and connect the Ethernet cables it connects straightaway and I can see the camera image and recordings via the NAS and there is no interference with the rest of the home network. Excellent product.

    Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWas a bit nervous given the lack of history with this brand, but I took the plunge and figured I’d lean on Amazon’s return policy if all went to pot. So far everything’s working great after ~3 weeks running a 6 POE camera system. The cameras are pulling ~60W total, and a few long indoor/outdoor runs (150 ft. on the longest single run, around 500 ft. combined, on all copper CAT6).

    I have been use this switch for some time. It is working well all the time. Good thing for POE, if you have multiple small devices even another modem or router, you may use POE tech or POE adapter to connect them. This way you would only connect one power to outlet or UPS.
    Reasonable price and keep working.

    This switch does exactly as advertised.
    Have 6 POE cameras running off this and haven’t had to do anything in the months being setup. It also seems to well in 40C summers to below zero winters right now. This does have 2 gigabit ports for uplink, and the remaining ones are 100mb which is more than enough for each POE camera as they only need ~10-20mb per port.

    I can’t stand external AC adapter bricks, so this switch automatically gets points in my book for that. It runs cool, despite being quiet. I ran a 2 hour stress test on it, and didn’t have any packet loss, so I consider that a success. In my case, I don’t need anything more than 100mbit, and the extend function could be useful someday, though I haven’t used it yet. At this point, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again.

    8 port PoE getting 100mb/s connection and two normal 1gbe uplinks, working great driving 8 PoE cameras (5MP, 2K/1440p).

    Works like a charm. With H265 compression you don’t even really need the gbe uplink although this is 2020 so why not.

    I am using this switch by my desk. I have my VoIP phone, AP and my computer plugged into this switch. Love that it has auto sensing on the switch, don’t have to worry about turning off the POE for non PO Equipment. This is worth the investment for any small to large applications you may have. Will be looking at getting the rack mount version for my server rack and moving all POE VoIP phone to this device. I will do a review of that when that time comes.

    Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersUsed this switch for some security cameras in my house and it works great. It has 8 ports that are powered and works with all PoE cameras. I like that it also has 2 uplink ports to connect to the router. Most switches only have 1 but since this one has 2, you can connect multiple switches together without losing a PoE port. Useful since most camera systems use 8 or 16 cameras. Works with a standard 120v computer plug so it’s easy to add to a server rack that has those types of cables already.

    Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have a 16 POE camera system that only initially came with 8 cameras. I just added the additional 8 and needed a switch that could efficiently power all of them. Additionally, I have a VOIP phone system that the phones are powered by POE. This switch powered most of my remaining cameras and my two VOIP phones wonderfully. If you are looking for a multi-port switch with the grit to power multiple devices…this is probably the best bang for the buck you will find. BUY IT…you won’t be disappointed.

    Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThis appears to be a nice 120W 8+2 port POE+ switch with nice features, but once I started plugging things in, there were unexpected problems. If you plan to use this device to its max capacity, you might want to consider something else. Seller’s support was very prompt, but basically unhelpful, which is why I don’t know if my unit is defective.

    FIRST TRY: I plugged in an at (30W max) POE+ device followed by 3 af (15W max) POE devices for a total maximum usage of 75W (my power meter said it was only using 16W total, but the meter may not be accurate at such low wattage). These devices (all cameras) worked as expected for several days. Then I tried to plug in an af POE clock, but while the clock initially powered up, it almost immediately powered down and started power cycling about every second.. It never made a network connection. Since I had two clocks I tried the other, with the same result. I contacted the seller and while waiting for a reply, I tested two of the POE clock on two other POE switches. The clocks worked as expected, even when both connected to the same switch.

    TRY TWO: After receiving a reply from the seller asking for more information, I tried this with the switch in question-: 1. Connect only the af clock (now worked well). Then connect the other devices: at, af, af, af. All worked as expected. Apparently the switch is sensitive to the order of connection. THIS SHOULDN’T HAPPEN. The switch has 3 spare ports, but I don’t know if I can ever use them. I sent more details to the seller, and received a prompt reply which wasn’t very helpful.

    RECOMMENDATION: If you want to buy this switch for its nice features, load it up when you first get it, so that you can return it if it fails to meet specs. Or better yet, buy something else, and fully test it as well. I am keeping this switch because it does what I want for now, and its size and price makes it better than the others I could find. I might regret this choice later.

    UPDATE: After further correspondence with the seller, they offered a refund. I declined, because although the unit doesn’t seem to work right, it works well enough for my present needs, and finding a better unit might be tedious. They gave me a refund of 25% of the cost of the unit, which seemed fair under the circumstances. I added one star to the rating in recognition of the refund. I would have rated it 5 stars if it had worked as advertised.

    The Yuanley PoE switch is perfect for your home office. It can power any of your computers or other devices with a hard line to your modem.

    Installation was simple, fast, and easy – no fuss, no headaches. Its design is beefy and robust. It sits flat on your desk, or you have the option to rack mount it if you happen to have a rack in your house or small office. I chose to sit it on my desk.

    The uplink connection goes right into the modem or other Wireless Access Point (WAP); I have chosen to go this route. The Power Over Ethernet (PoE) feature is nice because it adds a bump in wattage to power your Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) phones if you have that feature in your home or office.

    From a port standpoint, you have eight (8) ports to connect your devices directly via an RJ45 network cable (CAT5 or higher will work). You also have two (2) uplink ports for your inbound connections from your modem or another similar type of device.

    Similar to other switches, you have green lights located under the connection port to alert you whether data is passing through the connection or not. If it is flashing green – you are in business, and information is moving to your devices. If there is no light, either the device is not powered on (most of the cases) or something is wrong with that particular port.

    I was excited to get this device, because I ran out of ports on my other switch, and it did not have the PoE feature which, is a welcome improvement to my home office. This ethernet switch was a great find, and I am happy with the product.

    This is a nice little switch at this price point. I plugged in my cameras, plugged in the uplink cable, plugged in the power and it was up and running. I needed to add a couple of cameras and this switch made the job painless. It is fanless, so it is probably not great for extreme heat areas. It is unmanaged, but since it uses active 802.3af/at (not passive constant output) that is not a problem for most applications. Because it is not a passive POE switch, if a non POE device gets plugged in the switch will not activate the port (I actually tested this). I also like that it uses a standard 110v plug and does not require an extra AC adapter to keep track of. Overall, I’m very happy with this switch.

    I had a PoE router in my network that gave up the ghost, and I used this router to replace it. I took it out of the box, plugged it in, and it worked. If only everything were that easy

    === The Good Stuff ===

    * This router supports two cameras, both of which are PoE devices, as well as a couple of devices. Besides the cameras, none are especially high-traffic devices. The cameras are 4K video with a 15fps refresh, so there is some amount of traffic from them. As near as I can tell, there are no network bottlenecks because of this switch.

    * The uplink shows as being a 1000MBS connection on both this switch and my main router. I do not really have any way to test that, but it “seems” fast.

    * Again, I have not measured the current draw, but both cameras are performing well, meaning they are getting suffiient power over the PoE connection.

    === The Not-so-Good Stuff ===

    * Why do switch and router manufacturers never seem to take into account that I might want to mount these so they don’t move around? Forget the silly holes on the bottom, but I’d love a couple “ears” on the sides to mount to a shelf or wall. As usual, I had to jury-rig something.

    === Summary ===

    I plugged it in, and it worked. There really isn’t anything more I expect of a switch, and the PoE features worked just like I expected. It has been running for a couple weeks now with no drama or events.

    It’s pretty cool that you 8 poe ports and 120 watts of power! I’ve got 8 cameras plugged into this and it’s going strong. It’s a weird brand, but it’s worked great so far.

    I had a linksys switch that went bad and had to replace it. I went with this for the price and the 2gbit speed, in addition to the fact that it said it was silent. Having a fan is just annoying after a while. And this one is literally SILENT. I love it. I have a gigabit connection via FIOS and the old switch dumbed down the speed to my office, but this has zero degeneration of the speed.

    I was setting up a self hosted security system for my house and didn’t want to have to run a bunch of power wires to my cameras. The PoE took care of this issue for me quite nicely! I was able to hook up 8 cameras and the server tower on a UPS to keep everything running smoothly for 24 hours a day and haven’t seen any issues with not having enough power. I keep this locked up on the top shelf in a closet in the center of my house and remote into the server via wireless adapter on the server if I need to pull information from my cameras or need to update the OS. The cord was just the right length for my needs. The switch isn’t big enough to install into a standard rack but for my use that wasn’t a huge deal.

    Really very good quality PoE switch.
    – compact
    – light weight
    – good quality
    – extremely easy to use ( just plug and play )
    This helped me to organise my all cable stuff and works perfectly.

    I do a lot of POE Camera Systems so I am always using poe switches for the jobs, this works great. has plenty of ports, plenty of power, and transfer speeds are great. I was surprised by this because Its a brand I have never heard of, but it works just as well as any big brand name ones I have used.

    I will use these again and again.

    2nd UPDATE: Purchased a 10 ft power cord on Amazon and the PoE switch works perfect. This new power cord fits snug and stays plugged into the devise. The extra length allows us to use it without an extension cord. Customer service eventually replied and corrected the problem.
    UPDATE: The seller reached out and offered to help provide a new power cord for the port extender. The new cord will be 10ft long and hopefully will stay plugged into the devise. One is ordered and on its way. I upped our 1 star to 3 stars for customer service, will update again if the product works with the new power cord.
    ORIGINAL: I used this product to connect a printer and two DVRs on my home security system to our network. The unit looks good and has indicator lights. The unit does perform well. I gave this product one stars because I was very disappointed with the AC power cord. The cord should have been at least six feet in length. The cord it came with is only 40 inches long. I had to use an extension cord to make it work. Also disappointing is the loose fit on the power cord where it connects to the switch itself. There is not enough friction to hold it in place. If you move the switch, the power cord easily falls out.

    Had to purchase another power cords, now it works grea
