Works well enough, no leaks. Not enough pressure in my water to have nozzles squirt, but they do drip all the way to the end once adjusted. Top tip, if you warm up the tubing in a cup of hot water it makes it softer and easier to fit on nozzles.

Set up in the greenhouse, easy to use and assemble no leaks, saves self watering

Used for greenhouse tomatoes with a timer, great product for price

Brilliant for the price. For those saying impossible to set up etc please put the hose end into near boiling water for a few seconds to soften and then it will be much easier to push onto the nozzles and joints.

It’s hard work to put together and you need a strong water flow

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFor a small garden, this is a cheap and cheerful but reasonable starter irrigation kit – hence the 4 stars. However, there are a number of caviats.

Importantly, having good mains water pressure is a must. For us that meant the 4mm hose frequently popped off the connectors. I found small (100/2.5mm) cable ties solved that problem. I bought a pack of 100 ties on Amazon for less than 3 with same day delivery.

Next, I minimised the number of spray/drip outlets – I used just 24 (on the minimum length of 4mm hose I needed for our garden) – which was sufficient for us. Finally, I found cutting the hose into two 6m lengths and connecting the garden hose in the middle evened out the flow. Fortunately, I had a spare Hozelock “Y” connector to connect to the end of the garden hose (with a Hozelock female connector). My neighbour gave me the necessary 2nd 4mm hose connector – there is only 1 in this kit.

I now have a reliable irrigation system that is adequate for our small garden. A bit of a pain to install but it’s cheap and cheerful – and it works with even water distribution from all outlets!!

    Cheap and cheerful!

I used this to water some plants in pots whilst I was away on holiday for 3 three weeks. I connected it via a timer and just left it to do its thing. There is plenty of fittings in the pack and each one is adjustable. I would suggest setting up and testing it for a few days just to set the flow correctly.

Whether you’ve got an allotment that needs tending to while you’re often busy, or a small, humble vegetable patch in your back garden, this micro drip irrigation/watering system is a relatively easy way of ensuring that your plants constantly have a supply of water to help them thrive.

If you’ve never used a system like this it can seem daunting and/or confusing, but it is essentially just a matter of cutting the primary tubing into the required lengths, then attaching heads/nozzles and connecting each length of tubing to the next to form a path for the water to flow through.

Included in the kit is essentially everything you need to set it up (excluding a pair of scissors to cut the tubing up); connectors, attachments, water tap/faucet connection, cable ties, etc. And, unless you need a long and/or complex irrigation system, chances are there is plenty of materials if you mess it up to start with!

Keep your home crops thriving even when you're busy
