Product turned up and was well presented in its packaging which is always a good sign.
After unpacking checking it all out and charging the batteries I couldn’t wait to try this 4k 60fps action camera out. Had a lifeboat training exercise and used the camera then what amazing images and video from this camera especially when the boat is travelling at 40knots. Seems to be a great product for the cost.
When I do short videos I have always used a DSLR camera, thinking that my action camera was not up to the quality, but when I saw this one with an external microphone I thought I’d give it a try. It turned out to be a very good buy. I shoot on 1080p (not 4K) which gives very good quality and the improvement in sound with the external microphone is excellent.
I purchased this for diving in the Red Sea and it captured every moment perfectly. The quality is unbelievable for the price. Battery life is ok too. Absolutely no issues so far. Thank you.
Looked for a camera to take kayaking and this one is perfect. Really great picture and sound quality. The remote control also comes in handy and so does the waterproof case. Put a 128gb card in and records up to 6 hours footage. Would highly recommend

Not used yet but my cousin got one the week before me and used it at the IOM TT and said the picture and sound is spot on for the price.
This camera is great. I bought it to take photos and videos on holiday instead of using my phone. The photo and video quality is excellent and the waterproof case works perfectly. The touch screen can’t be used through the case so you use the bottoms instead (which works perfectly). External charger for the batteries is very useful, and they charge quickly. I haven’t used it until the batteries run out yet so can’t comment on battery life, but from just playing around with it, they seem good.

I am so surprised to see the product with many accessories. It would be better if there is guide with accessories list and instructions to assemble it. But when I contacted customer support, they were providing the details.
A nice action camera with extensive spec for a very competitive price. Will be used with the children so will be put to the test! Initial testing shows good quality recording, many, many options and impressive voice recording with external wireless mic provided in the kit. Two batteries are a bonus and the wifi link and app is a great function to have.
It came with batteries and a double battery charger which is a massive help. I attached it and went for a bike ride and used image stabilisation which worked really well. Files transfer easily and the WiFi mode to connect to the mobile app was easy to use.
I bought the Surfola 530 having looked at many similar cameras and I am so glad I did. I particularly wanted a camera with both front and rear screens. The touch screen is responsive and easy to use. I have found that the battery life is brilliant (a two week holiday and I had to charge them once). The picture quality is good at all settings. This camera represents value for money and I highly recommend it.
Purchased August 2022 and all was well for a while. The footage we were getting whilst snorkeling was good quality, not quite go-pro standard but more than acceptable for the price. However, in March the wifi on/off button stopped working. I contacted surfola under the warranty and was told they would send a replacement, 2 months have passed and I’ve heard nothing. I have just received an email from Surfola apologising for the delay and that they are sending the replacement.
Well, I took my time and researched other action cameras before settling on this one. For the price (71 at the time of review), the features were good and this was great value.
Needless to say, I’m really pleased with this. The video image is excellent and it has 4k at 60fps. Whilst I likely won’t use this for day to day use (1080p at 30fps is more than enough for use as a cycling camera to catch poor drivers out) it’s good to have 4k 60fps for when I want to record something in a higher resolution at a higher frame rate.
The menu on this is so easy to use. Compared with the older, dated system used on my old action cam, this is quick, touch screen, easy to understand and perfect for my needs.
This was bought for use whilst cycling as I’m getting fed up with people cutting me up, close passing and even knocking me off. The waterproof case is simple to fit to your handlebars and I’ve attached it to a metal bar mount that I already have fitted. The plastic on the bottom of the camera case is a little thick, but a bit of wiggling does make it fit. The case is easy to use with the camera in, which also prevents accidental touch screen use.
Battery life is great. Even better, the batteries are exactly the same as in my old camera, so I now have 4.
Included is a wireless microphone. This is perfect for cycling in dry conditions to record sound. Alternatively, it’s perfect for doing voiceover recordings or interviews, etc.
There’s also a remote control to strap to your wrist to use when cycling or doing other sports.
Plenty of attachments and adapters are included in the box for fixing to different locations.
Overall, I’m really pleased with this and it’s definitely deserving of a 5 star review.
Update: I have to add that the EIS on this is amazing. It focusses on the main environment when I’m cycling, ensuring a clear image of the road and scenery. It’s super clear and you can read number plates at a distance on it, even et 1080p. This camera is honestly so perfect for my needs. The wide field of view also helps catch anyone dangerously overtaking.
Good camera for 1080p (full hd) but the 4k leaves a lot to be desired.
If your looking for a full HD camera this is really good, nice and sturdy and comes with lots of accessories and 2 batteries.
The 4k isn’t really worth using to be honest – very pixelated .
Overall a pretty good camera
This is my First action camera. So far loving it. really pleased with the film quality. Sound is alright but I’ve changed to an external microphone which is better.
I know people who have more expensive cameras but for me the price hike from this is not worth it a for what I find a slight improvement over what I need.
The digital Zoom isn’t great but I’ve never come across a camera that is.
No issues but I have contacted the Surfola customer service with a couple of questions and they have been great and really quick in replying.
Battery drains fast when using it at 4K. but it is a small battery so expected.
Once WIFI connected then all photo/video is on the app, I use this on my helmet for cycling to work and the quality has been very good and battery life for me is 2 day, 4 x 5 miles cycles. Easy on and off and looking back at videos I can clearly see registration plates if I needed to. I would recommend this for all cyclists and anyone just wanting an action cam, this ticks all the boxes at a great price compared to a go pro.
for the price, I think it is a good investment in this camera and the whole set that is included. The microphone sound is good too. customer service quickly solves problems or doubts, the company focuses on the quality of its equipment, not only on money.

Die Verarbeitung der Kamera sowie aller Zubehrteile wirken wertig und gut verarbeitet. Es ist eigentlich alles dabei was man fr den Einsatz der Action Cam bentigt.
Die beiden 1050mAh Akkus sind bereits voll geladen und man kann direkt mit dem Einsatz der Kamera starten. Das Men ist bersichtlich und selbsterklrend. Getestet habe ich die Cam mit einer SanDisk Ultra Speicherkarte 128 GB MicroSDXC Klasse 10. Hierbei liefert die Kamera eine gute Videoqualitt ab. Geeignetere Karten etwa in der V30er Klasse drften sicher noch besser mit der Kamera klar kommen. Alles in allem ist die Kamera auf jeden Fall ihr Geld wert. Ich versuche die im Video gezeigte Aufnahme nochmal extra hochzuladen damit man einen besseren Eindruck von der Qualitt der Videos bekommt.

ich bin mit der Kamera sehr zufrieden. Hier meine Eindrcke: Ich habe die Kamera jetzt etwa zwei Wochen getestet und bin positiv berrascht. Ich bin kein Profi und hatte daher andere Action Cams der gleichen Preisklasse zum Vergleich; bei der Surfola war die Bildqualitt am besten und um einiges besser als beiden anderne Cams. Ich habe die Kamera zum Vloggen eingesetzt – das Micro ist nicht ganz berzeugend, aber man scheint ein externes Micro anschlieen zu knnen (was ich aber nicht getestet habe). Die Bildqualitt hat mich berzeugt und ist fr meine Zwecke ausreichend. Mir gefllt auch, dass es die Option fr hohe FPS gibt.
Die Akkulaufzeit ist der Kamera angemessn, aber auch hier war ich positiv berrascht, wie lange der Akku hlt. Und da es zwei Akkus (mit Ladegert) gibt, kann amn auch schnell wechseln.
Es gibt eine Menge Zubehr, gefehlt hat mir aber Hlle, mit der man die Kamera diekt auf ein Stativ schrauben kann bzw. direkt eine Mglichketi an der Kamera selber. Es ist etwas umstndlich, erst die Hlle und dann einen entsprechender Adapter zu verbinden – umstndlich, aber immerhin geht es.

Amazing bit of kit. Been using this for about a month and no problems at all. Quality is good for the price. Not a GoPro quality but still really good for everyday use. I have only used it during the day but would highly recommend it.
I think the biggest flaw however, is the microphone and the battery life. The mic itself isn’t too bad, but it seems to bass out at high volume levels, and it can seem a bit tinny at times, so don’t try to become a famous vlogger using this camera. The battery is also a bit lacklustre, recording at 120fps@1080p drained the battery in nearly 40 or so minutes, so I have used a power-bank and simply plugged it into the micro usb port, and it takes basically no power, so I was fine recording for 5 hours. For static recording, I would invest in a powerbank to make sure there are no issues recording
Overall, I think it’s a solid camera. It is worth it’s price tag considering the features you get with it, and a LOT of fixtures/clippings with it so you don’t have to worry about not having what you need to use it how you like, but be wary that you aren’t going to get the best sounds or battery life from this, It’s not a gopro, but will do what it needs to do, and do it well.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for something to rival the go pro for its value, and the customer service is AA+++

Amazing little action camera! This doesn’t seem to be you standard cheap ‘gopro’ this action camera is a great alternative with really good picture quality and a very good price to match! The accessories that come with the camera are very helpful to get started including a very convenient charging station, instructions and extremely clear and image stability it’s second to none! And let’s not forget about the front facing screen meaning no more wondering if your recording. Overall an amazing action camera and 100% recommended! Gopro quality at over half the price tag.
his camera is pretty good, has everything you need to connect to tripods, bikes, motorbikes etc. Remote is a great addition, was able to take photos of the birds at the bird feeder from the kitchen, have done a few timelaspse, day and night and pretty good results. for the cost I would highly recommend

Ahora si cuando baja la luz y la pones un poco en apuro baja la calidad y no esperes un autoenfoque porque no existe y la verdad que se echa en falta. Easy to use even easier to view and download footage without needing wires which is what I had trouble with on other devices, I use it as a helmet cam with a separate mount I bought and the picture and sound is great, love the back up battery and charging dock. As a whole the package is worth every penny and performance as good as the higher priced big brands

It’s really good but much the same as many other Chinese action cams it isn’t quite what it’s saying it is. Definitely not true 4k sensor it’s just up scaled 2.7k.

Surfola SF530 dual screen camera was bought (30% voucher brought it to 63) for my motorbike. It provides good video & picture quality in good light and decent image stabilization. Also comes with a waterproof case, camera frame, 2x 1050mah batteries, a charger & various fitting accessories. Internal microphone is okay with the option for an external microphone but not tried one yet. The touch screen is responsive and up to 8x digital zoom is adjustable in about 28 increments. Included remote works fine too…although you need to turn off Auto Power off and if the camera goes into sleep mode you need to press the button twice…once to wake the camera & second press to start/stop/capture.
Menu system is simple to get used to & not too many adjustments.
iSmart DV2 app connects & downloads files but video playback on phone is better using an actual video player app…such as MX player Pro. which also reveals FHD 1920 x 1080 @ 30fps is at about 17Mbps…full battery records just over 2 hours in 32min segments.
Attached video & photo samples quality may be compromised by Amazon site limitations?
Construction is not very solid but it is still one of the best value action cameras in the 60 to 70 price band.
I have never used a top budget equivalents, but i think this is a great camera for somone that wants to record under water.
This video is taken on a recent holiday in menorca and i would say its the best quality of around 50 videos taken in the sea.
Is it perfect no but i think its great value for money.
Front and rear screen recording options and in my opinion works well underwater.
I want to add one other possitive point my SURFOLA SF530 did come with a second battery and external charger, i know other online reviews state they did not get an external charger.
The only Negative i have is that it states 4K 60fps recording capability, this option is not as clear as the 40fps 4k setting and so it appears this is the true capability. I am no expert on the capabilities but i just want to share a honest opinion.
The camera is good for a beginner who wants to pursue a career in filmmaking, image is decent, touch screen is responssive, lot of accessories it come with and decent priced for what you get in terms of quality and value, however this is one of those cameras where you’ll need good lighting when in darker areas to get a nice image especially with natural lighting like the sun but even that doesn’t bother. The camera does it job its all that matters
Reasonable for price.
I think there is a problem with the firmware (and cannot locate any sources for a firmware upgrade). I find that if I put small-capacity (4GB) card in, it complains the disk is not fast enough for high frame rates; however, larger disks (eg 32GB) of the same specification (or even slightly slower) are fine. I think the slow-disk warning is spurious. Although not important, it makes me concern that other things in the firmware might also be flakey.
A GoPro is just too expensive to justify, so research cheaper alternatives. Reviews on websites seem to concentrate on a handful of the same cameras (Akaso, DJI, Oclu) which are either edging towards GoPro cost or have limitations. I was going to buy an Akaso but was concerned with the audio quality so hesitated. Then I found this on Amazon with good reviews.
This little camera exceeded my expectations. Good quality footage, good microphone/audio, good battery life, remote control, two batteries and a charger and various resolutions and framerates and to finish it off a good selection of accessories.
At the moment, after having taken it on holiday for a fortnight, it worked really, really well and provided what we needed for around 70….couldn’t want more.

For the money, this is a brilliant little camera. The customer service has also been fantastic. One of the batteries wasn’t holding a charge and surfola dealt with it really quickly.

A good camera for the price, lots of accessories. Battery life ok and you do get two which is good, however they are only 1050MaH batteries (The cheaper SF430 comes with 1350MaH batteries). You can get 1350Mah batteries separately and at 4k with EIS on, lasts a good 2 hours.
Image quality is ok, however not as good as my Thieye E7 or Apeman Trawo. EIS works ok, but has a weird habbit of “panning” the screen when I’m leant over on my bike.
It’s good for the price, but it’s no Go-Pro beater.
I am retired, will be 70 in August 2022 and dusted off the MTB that has been hanging in the garage, well since from before Boris was the short lived flavour of the day.
One thing led to the next and I used my Father/Grandfather’s Day voucher to firstly order the smaller/cheaper SF230 (not a bad camera – read my review) but the bug bit and I had to upgrade to the more current and of course, more expensive SF530 (bypassing the SF300 and the SF430). So now I have two and am keeping both.
Why?
Well the hooks, straps, covers and batteries are interchangeable and I like it.
(And I love retirement.)
The SF530 comes in at roughly twice the price of it’s “brother” (am I still allowed to say that), but my first impressions would justify that.
The SF530 somehow, has a more solid and professional feel to it with slightly rounded corners.
The touch screen is very responsive and the built-in microphone is fairly sensitive. It also has an 8-time zoom and a few other niceties, example a wide, normal and narrow view, not that I have or ever will use all the settings.
Plus a battery charger that allows both batteries to be hooked up at the same time.
The manual is adequate.
The App does the trick but it is much easier to remove the memory card (not included) and slot it into a card reader that can be plugged directly into your phone or laptop – less than 7.
Bottom line:
Excellent value for money with lots of accessories and fair battery live (comes with two batteries).
Finally:
It is not a GoPro or other brand with a price tag to impress social media, but punches way above its weight. You can’t go wrong.

I climbed Slieve Donard, the highest mountain in Northern Ireland, and am still recovering as I update this review (remember I will be 70 in a few weeks).
The batteries impressed and the quality of the videos are on top of the world.
Below is my riginal review.. Its true to my experience. Since I posted this I took the camera to South of France on my motornbike. I have to say I am impressed. Ive nothing to benchmark it against but for the money its great value. I’ve uploaded a clip taken through my windshield, so this would lower the quality.. Flies n all! Its taken at 1080 120fps.. and I am happy with this. With higher quality comes larger files sizes so I am happy with the trade off.. I will be keeping an eye on ths brand as CS is great and Im happy with the product and the results it gives.. It also turns on very quickly and even one handed on the motorbike it is easy to opporate
When the camera arrived I did have an issue with it but I contacted the supplier, sufola, and they responded almost instantly. we have a series of email exchanges and they resolved the issue. The camera itself has a lot of features for the money and in my view is a bargain. The image quality is OK.. I am sure thats its maybe not up to that from a GoPro but its a fraction of the cost so you have to take that into account. The video quality is fine for my purposes. It comes with 2 batteries and loads of accessories. Great value for money camera and I would very much recommend it. We loved this camera, the underwater videos were good quality, easy to use and transportable. We used it in Mauritius and it coped with the humidity great, lightweight and pops into your bag.

1080p looks extremely clear and the fact that it can do 120fps is mind boggling!
Touch screen is very responsive and the menue system is well designed and easy to navigate.
It also comes with dual screens which can be perfect for those vloggers and one again it has a lot of attachments to suit your needs.
