Loving every minute with this. Did wonder if I’d get much use but it has turned listening to music into an enjoyable ritual again. Involving the whole family sometimes. The product is also super high quality. A great purchase
Having spent weeks researching turntables with blue tooth output, and finally selecting this deck, I wasn’t disappointed. Apart from 5 minutes of assembly, simple in the extreme, the system was easy to connect to my existing Bluetooth speaker. Instructions are simple and my record collection has never sounded better. For the money, this system is excellent. Highly recommended.
Decent sound ,,I had a Technics direct drive ,that sounded a lot better with more treble ,,the issue with this is that it jumps a few times on different vinyl LPS ,,but iam happy with it ,,infact I bought 2 of these.
I bought this for my son & his partner & they are very pleased with i
I had the LP60 and I wanted something with Bluetooth and something that felt familiar. This ticks all those boxes, it’s simple to set up, looks great and has sound improvements over the lp60 so worth it. It’s still early days as only had a couple of weeks but for now I’m loving it. Only issue I have with it is the Power cable can be loose otherwise this is a great turntable if you just want to put a record on and connect to a speaker using Bluetooth and at a reasonable price
Okay it’s not top of the range but it does what’d needed and gives tremendous sound quality. Unbelievable the difference between digital and vinyl sound with vinyl much crisper and clearer Great buy..
So, my son wanted to get a tuff egg marble to enjoy music better. I wanted to get a decent older Technics turntable, but they are very expensive! After looking at a lot of reviews, I went with this. Got good reviews, decent sound for the budget, and it automatic as well. Set it up with mint amp and decent wired headphones and he really likes it.
I am sure he will upgrade in a few years, but says it is much better than he expected fit the price!
What’s not to like ? Looks cool. Works well. Initially bought a cheaper player and it was garbage but this looks good and feels well designed
Bought this turntable and paired it (via Bluetooth) with Edifier D12 Bookshelf Speaker – brilliant! Lovely sounds quality, with plenty of tonal depth. (Sounds better with the ear, rather than thru my phone camera – the crackling noises at the start are actually logs sparking in my fire…) Very easy to set-up, Bluetooth worked virtually immediately with no trouble.
Volume control thru speaker manually or using remote. I’m very happy now to be able to listen to LPs I last listened to many years ago 😀
It looks ok , although slightly out of step with the rest of our kit. It was bought as a fast and relatively cheap replacement for a more expensive deck that had given us a number of issues. Thus far , its working just fine, reproduction is not bad and was easy to set up.
Not overly keen on the automatic nature of the way it starts, but hey, 1st world problems 🙂
Easy enough set up via a 2 minute video, ignore the whingers on here. The unit is a simple but solid build – full 12″ metal platter – sadly lacking on most turntables on here, felt matt – also lacking on almost all budget turntables on here, rubber (not foam) feet to stop unit sliding – again from buying budget priced turntables on here they are usually foam which cause any unit to easily slide or move around.
The operating mechanism is much more advanced and accident proof than any of the other budget turntables on here – you simply set the speed, size of disc and push a button and the arms kicks into action. I’ve had several cheap end Chinese type turntables from Amazon and not one of them auto returns the arm. This one does !! – full marks just for thus.
You will need a speaker(s) I have it playing thru a small but loud enough bluetooth speaker and it sounds perfect. Despite what some of the Q & A say on here this is NOT wireless Bluetooth enabled, which would’ve really been a bonus. Havent tried recording Vinyl thru my laptop yet but will be doing so soon. After buying and returning many cheaper gimmicky looking players on here thru quickly established faults, avoid them, but THIS and get a superior machine without the issues of the similar priced Retro type models.
Delivered in time, packng was good. Great quality deck, easy to use, and assemble. Amazing sound, i have blue tooth speakers.
It looks great. Just played it for the first time, very easy for beginners to set up and to use. The sound quality is superb, far better than any other model/s I have owned. I had a problem in set up as I put the belt on wrong, a further instruction should have been included, nevertheless I got there.Overall, for the price it is excellent value and I can highly recommend.
Arrived a day early and was easily set up with 15mins. Connected to my technics amp through the phono input (so I can’t comment on the built in pre-amp).
This turntable is smart in appearance and the sound quality is excellent. My previous turntable used exactly the same at3600l cartridge/stylus but the sound from this one is 10x better. The sound is brighter, clearer and more balanced.
As a DJ (many moons ago) and a music lover I am picky with my sound quality and this turntable doesn’t disappoint.
I grew up with vinyl but to anyone just getting into it now my advice would be you need 3 things to make up a good sound system. Source, amp and speakers. If any of those 3 are below par you’ll lose sound quality. As a source for playing vinyl I can’t definitely recommend this turntable.
Really good turntable, easy to use especially paired to an excellent Bluetooth speaker. Easy to connect.
This a great little record dec, bought a pair of Edifier speakers and it’s sounds great
Easy to set up and although lightweight and basically plastic it performs well and looks really good
I’m very pleased, good value and good looks, now I’m playing vinyl and it sounds great.
Great service from the supplier, arrived in a few days, would highly recommend this produc
Great to get back to the records
Great bit of ki
I did not like the fact that the lead that came with it had a 3.5 jack on it, I thought it would have phono plugs. I had to search around for adapters. Otherwise it’s a fine deck for the money. Works a lot better than my old cheap deck.
Just need to hit play and the player does the rest! So glad it auto stops!
Wasn;t sure how this would sounds with just powered speakers and no amp – but it sounds great. Looks like a ‘proper’ turntable – not gimmicky retro’. Just make sure you put the belt on the correct spool (top left)
Very good all rounder, fully automatic belts drive turntable. Be aware though that the connections will not be compatible with old Hi Fi systems, as in my case! I’ve had to employ an electrician to help me to integrate this deck into my existing set up. Now that’s done it is performing as expected, and the sound quality through my old speakers is excellent.
A crackin’ turntable for 130 and easy to put together. Connected it up to my 100 watts per channel hi-fi system and it sounds superb, the neighbours like it as well!!
Well worth the money I have to say.
I originally bought this in white from an other seller. The automatic hand did not work, so it was sent back. I got the black one instead. The sound quality is the best I’ve had so far with record players and I have had quite a few over the years. I couldn’t bring my Sony record player back with me from Sweden, but it’s been a blessing in disguise as this is far better quality. Easy to set up and easy to connect to my edifier Bluetooth speakers. Again sound quality is the best unfortunately on my phone recording it dosent do it justice. The only reason I didn’t give it a full 5 stars for everything, is that build wise it’s plastic and not wood or metal, but it dosent stop or take away the actual sound quality from it.
I bought this because it had Bluetooth built in. I already have a high end project table, and wanted something for the bedroom for quick and easy listening via bluetooth. Coupled with my Grado Bluetooth headphones it is a pleasure to listen to. I’ve had no issues, sound quality is better than average, and it’s automatic so the arm returns without racing to the turntable to do it manually. The replacement stylus is about 15 which is another bonus.
Recommended.
Just the job needed to digitize my remaining vinyl (old ’70’s rare stuff not available – or at least not at a sensible price – on CD). Easily hooked up to Windows PC via USB and interfaced to the (free) Audacity software (other OSes also available). Good quality output, no discernible background noise (other than from the record itself). Perhaps a tad light on high frequency ‘sparkle’ though I have nothing to judge it against. Automatic start/stop works well, or just use the stylus up/down function and manual arm placement.
Hassle free listening to Vinyl , bear in mind that external speakers and receiver is required.
Excellent turntable, much better than others made at a cheaper price, full of wobbly plastic. This one is a stronger built.
No useless features, and instead it delivers on the essential: playing records with no fault and a brilliant sound.
This really is way better than it’s price tag. It doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles but it makes up for that in sound quality…. The important bit. I connected this to my LG home cinema and was literally blown away by the quality and depth of sound, fantastic. I have listened to about 40 albums in 5 days now, all superb. I highly recommend this, you won’t be disappointed I think.
Great little starter player. Super easy to set up and great sound!
For those of you setting out into the world of vinyl this turntable offers plenty. For the price it is good value. Set-up is very easy, just follow the advice. Levelling is key. Remember though that this is just one item that you need out of potentially a minimum of 2 but probably 3! Quality speakers are key.
Bought for son for Xmas. Fantastic product son very pleased, great quality, connected small jcb speakers, sounds amazing.
Everything about this product is excellent, but it would be helpful to know how to change the stylus.
Deck was easy to set up and install. It was bought to transfer vinyl discs to digital. Sound quality on transfer is excellent as is the sound played directly through Bose speakers.
The first thing I noticed was how better the sound was compared to the other record players that sell at the 100 – 200 range. Plugged into a 100w speaker system (and mine is pretty old) the bass and treble are clear sounding without any background noise or tinny sounds that crackle. The arm is also sturdy and is less likely to jump throughout records, which is probably the biggest bonus you can have with this record player without paying for a really expensive one with a weight on the arm. All in all, 5 stars
Perfect for my daughters first record player, auto start function is very cool, everything is as it should be…Fast delivery, well packaged A+++
Ok, I’ll be honest from the start here in that I actually had the Audio Technica lp 120 before this turntable and used it for around 3 years.
Some people may see this as a downgrade on my part, but I had a few niggling issues with the 120 deck.
The main issues were the anti skating being useless, the lack of any automatic features and the bulkiness of the 120.
Honestly, the sound is identical to the 120, but the lp60 looks a lot sleeker by design.
Very pleased with the turntable, the performance, functionality and the design.
Highly recommended.
This was easy to set up and it’s good to be able to play our vinyl again. Also, good to hear proper analogue sound – all the lyrics can be heard again. Makes you realise how much is lost with compressed files, like mp3, iTunes etc. I’m sure sound quality would improve if it was going through an amplifier and good speakers. Two negatives: there’s no clip to ‘lock’ the stylus arm, if you’re moving the deck, and there’s a buzz through the speakers on standby, meaning the power has to be turned off completely when it’s not in use. Bizarrely, this disappears as soon as the stylus arm is raised. Controls are a bit basic, but do work.
So for starters – I am not a massive audiophile, so I am not going to be reviewing whether this is great player for mid-range blah blah blah.
Rather this purchase was a birthday present for a teenager who has always had an interest in music and although having access to millions of tracks on various music subscription services, they wanted the ability to owning her own record collection and that as vinyl also has special editions with graphics etc – I thought this would be the way to support this.
Be warned though the cost of the vinyls are high this comes out of pocket money now!
As the record player has bluetooth it allowed us to connect to either speakers (we bought a pair of Edifier RT1280DB active speakers) or standard bluetooth speakers and headphones, the player also has phono outputs so you can connect to an existing amp also so most bases are covered.
As this was a first introduction I wanted something that was simple to use and it easily ticks that box.
The player arrived as expected, there is some assembly required (drive belt / turntable) but this was easy enough to do in 5 minutes, connecting bluetooth devices was simple enough and the sound is nice and warm.
We could have gone with much cheaper players with inbuilt speakers but reading reviews I decided to stay away – rather thinking that this would provide a longer term solution.
Bought this after searching for months and reading numerous reviews. I am very impressed with it, automatic function works perfectly and it’s a neat little turntable. Paired with edifier speakers it all works a dream
After researching for a couple of hours I settled on this model and haven’t been disappointed. Set up was clearly explained an easy to do. Quality of sound has been good and clear.
Had bought initially those cheap suitcase player, and about 50% of the records were not played properly, skipping bits and scratching them…
I first thought the records were the problem but realised it was in fact coming from the player.
Got on YouTube for experts advise on those and got to this player which is great.
Perfect for my 7 year old son, and teaches him to take care and respect its player and the music !
Gonna buy the upgraded version for me!
Haven’t been able to play my large vinyl collection for years. Bought a cheap deck and sub woofer a while ago but the sound quality was awful. Ran this deck through my Hitachi cd system and speakers and was very impressed with the outcome. The deck is easy to assemble, just ensure you fit the drive belt into the groove on the post as explained and your away. The quality of the product is obvious compared to cheaper ones it feels solid and looks expensive but the best thing about it is the functionality. Everything you need to play 33rpm & 45 rpm records is there and clear to use. No dropping the stylus as you manually place it onto the record it’s all done for you. I haven’t used the record to usb function as I have an encoder on my system so I used that, the sound was crisp and clear even from well worn vinyl. If you want a great piece of kit this is it. If you pay less you’ll regret it as I did previously. I’m very happy nowi
It was a present for a relative. He LOVES it. He paired it with a pair of active speakers. Great sound and a great ‘one touch’ operation if selected. Fantastic way to get the best from your vinyl at a sensible price. Five stars.
The turntable was delivered promptly and well packaged, was easy to set up to our system with clear instructions, it sounds fine and hooks up to the digital devices. Cannot fault the service from Nottingham Hifi nor the product from Audio-Technica. We can highly recommend.
I got back into my old Vinyl collection (and collecting some of the greats that I got on CD once the 90’s swung around) with a cheapy portable player a few years ago. It’s been great but didn’t sound that great (can’t complain when it was fifty quid).
I decided to take the plunge and get a better dedicated player but, not being an audiophile, didn’t want to go too high on price.
I looked around at reviews and this came out well in terms of quality, sound and features alongside a very reasonable price so I took the plunge.
Set-up was very easy, just installing the disk, attaching the belt and taking off the stylus cover to get started. You can plug it directly into your amp via a wired connection but it also has bluetooth capability which allows wireless play. Bluetooth set-up was very easy to my Echo, I put that into seek mode via the Alexa app and then pressed the button on the turntable and it all worked like a charm.
I did hit one snag in that the stylus was broken (the needle was broken) so it was sliding over my records. I got in touch with support who helped me sort a replacement. That arrived and it now works perfectly.
Very happy with this, it sounds good, is very easy to use (fully automatic arm controls) and looks really tidy. Great turntable for the price.
Not a bad sound for a for the price of this record player , the built in amp is also a good feature , however it’s not the best looking piece of kit ‘doesn’t go well with a modem set up . However a good buy and better than some of the others I tried in this price range
Not rated for ‘sheerness’ as I haven’t a clue what that means.
Allowing for the constrictions of price (I paid 119) AT have done an excellent job here. Lightweight, good tracking, useful, quiet and delicate auto mechanism allowing dust cover (designed for use with cover down) to be in place before recording. Quiet in operation and makes good clean copies of good quality vinyl. Looks nice, compact but full-size.
One small niggle – the output signal isn’t really loud enough for recording with Audacity, meaning each recording requires additional digital volume boosting.
Suppose sound quality depends on what you play the LPs through but we used our old 20 year plus retro speakers and it was extreemly good. It fitted superbly on top of our old music centre. The needle quality is also very good. Very pleasantly suprised. I would recommend this product. It took some fiddling to get the parts and the deck speed attachments fitted properly. If the sound isnt right just fiddle a bit more. It isnt broken or faulty just perserve and recheck the assembly instructions.
Changed my deck from a Stanton to this audio technica deck. Knew the build quality wouldn’t be as good as my old deck but after reading numerous reviews I knew that the sound quality would be excellent and the deck hasn’t disappointed in that respect.
Music is reproduced faithfully across the range and for the price I paid for this deck it must be the bargain of the century. The deck has been built to a price but the stylus hasn’t it gives quality reproduction.
I haven’t used the USB function yet but I don’t envisage any problems.
The only gripe I had was that I couldn’t test it when I set it up as the supplied lead’s jack plugs weren’t long enough for my amp. I plugged into a Bose SoundTouch speaker to test it and the sound was great but even better when I eventually connected to my amp.
Don’t be afraid to buy this deck because of the price, it’s made by one of the most respected names of turntable manufacturers in the world and you won’t be disappointed.
I connected this machine to my LG HiFi system and the results blew me away. Superb sound with nice deep base and no hiss. An audiophile could find fault with it I am sure, but for listening to old (and new) vinyl, it is just what I required. The set up was straight forward and it only took a few minutes to be ready for the first play. Currently working my way through a recently acquired job lot of singles from the 70’s and I am enjoying it immensely! This is a great bit of kit and I would highly recommend it.
I love this record player so much! This version allows you to connect your record player to any bluetooth speaker/ headphones. As you can see from one of the photos, I have mine connected to the Amazon Echo Dot 3rd Gen and it works perfectly. It is very easy to connect to a speaker/ headphones. You simply press the bluetooth button and wait for the light to turn a solid blue (this shows it is connected to your speaker/ headphones).
I like that the record is able to lay flat with the record player, unlike others such as the ‘Crosley Cruiser’ where your record is not laying flat and prone to warping.
The start and stop buttons allow a hand free experience, as the stylus arm moves itself to and from the record. This reduces damage to the record LP’s, which is a great bonus.
On the back of the record player is the power input, the PHONO/LINE switch and the analog output (as shown in one of the pictures). This record player does come with an RCA cable if you don’t wish to use bluetooth to connect to your record player.
The only thing that is slightly annoying about this record player is if you have your speaker on a lower volume and/or far away from your record player, you can quietly hear the music coming from the stylus on the record player. After researching about this, I found this is apparently normal. Nevertheless I thought I would inform any readers just in case.
I would recommend this record player to anyone who wants to listen to their vinyls on a high quality record player which a low price. Although 169.99 may seem pricey, for a record player this is a fair price if you want high quality.
This is my second record player, I previously owned the ‘1byone Belt-Drive 3-Speed Stereo Turntable’ which cost me 39.99. This record player broke after a year. The Audio Technica LP60XBT compared to my previous record player is a much higher quality record player: inc, the sound quality, keeping the record LP’s in good condition, durability and user friendly (to name but a few).
The online/Youtube instructions make this easy to set up; do use them, as one or two steps in the video are missing from the instruction manual. The sound is very good, despite my vinyl records being, erm, old. I have not listened to a full range of old records yet, but acoustic and stereo are very good. Using this with Denon M41 and everything was easy to connect.
100% satisfaction. It is a great value for money. I’m completly new to vinyls, I’ve read a lot of reviews and I couldn’t decide what to buy. So my first choice was ION Audio Mustang LP – 4-in-1 Vinyl Record Player / Turntable with Built In Speakers but it came used one so I’ve sent it back. It was also very poor quality made so I decide to had a refund and buy something else. My second choice was similar to first one – I-Star Vinyl record player turntable with biult in speakers 5 in 1, but it was a disaster. Sound on this is awful. You will have to be deaf not to hear how bad quality sound it is. Both of them looks very nice, had a lot of extras like USB, Radio and Bluetooth but vinyl player was really bad. So I decided no more experiments – I’ll buy something more expensive. And I must say this was a perfect choice !!! It looks very stylish, sounds very good. My advice to everyone – don’t waste your money and time for something that’s only looks good. Buy something that will have a nice sound !
Yeah tidy this for the money like. Plugged it into a Sherwood amp with a set of old Rogers LS2 speakers and it sounds great. I’m no audio snob so as long as it makes my records sound good when they’re loud, which it does then I’m happy. Currently blasting out Search & Destroy by The Stooges and it’s sounding ACE.
My stylus arrived broken off from the rest of the tone arm and worked its way inside the actual player. Took a while to get it out but once I re-attached it (Simply clipped into place) it works fine. Audio sounds great. Highly recommend (stylus detachment aside)!
I purchased the USB version of the turntable in May 2020 and I’m very impressed by the product.
It doesn’t look much. It’s small, light and the outer casing plastic but i bought it for the sound and for the price it’s sonically good.
It’s also a doodle to set up, i used to own a high end table and setting up the arm and cartridge was time consuming and challenging. Being fully automatic it’s easy to use too.
I’ve been playing lots of old records from the 60 to the 90 and it’s very forgiving when the condition of the vinyl is not great.
I’ve still to try the USB for cannot comment on that.
To summarize, it’s well worth the money with good sound, easy set up and easy to use.
Very pleased with this deck, I have a large record collection that’s been gathering dust. Used to have dj decks mixer speakers etc and a thorens deck back in the day. But over time and because of space/room got rid of all my kit. This deck is perfect for me now because of the small footprint/size and can be connected through amplified speakers with the built in pre-amp. Having the best time getting my vinyl out and going through it so I highly recommend this deck, fully automatic is so handy not having to run back at the end of each record, so simple to use. Its not a high end deck by any means but because of this deck my vinyl is now out and being played and enjoyed. Wish I’d bought one sooner.
When you compare this deck with some of those really cheap 80-100 ones it is a level above them in terms of quality and sound. I initially had a very noisy buzz, but soon diagnosed that as mains interference for a wire to my amp being too close to the audio out leads. It is reasonably solidly made. It isn’t the highest quality like a Rega Planar 1, but then you are talking significantly cheaper (130 cheaper!), and to be honest I’d say 90% of people wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. If I was buying a record deck for the first time, or buying one again after years (like me) I’d really recommend this one. One thing I would say is, be very careful when taking off the guard to the stylus, I managed to pull the stylus off as well. I didn’t damage it, but it was a bit fiddly to work out how to relocate it. Once you’ve done it once though it’s easy to see how it goes. I’ve only given it 4 stars because the components are not top top spec, but they are a lot better than decks that are only 20-30 cheaper. I think it has the right sweet spot.
I got this to allow me to digitise my LP collection and to also to play LPs in my office. You can connect it to any amp as it has its own Phono pre-amp if your amp doesn’t have a Phono input – many modern amps don’t. You can also connect it direct to a computer with its USB connection. The sounds quality is very good for the price and unless your a serious audiophile it’s good enough for most people. The amp I am using has a broken Phono input so I am using it with a line-level input and it’s fine. It’s nearly all plastic construction and a bit flimsy so you need to take care. One nice feature is the Start / stop / raise/drop buttons. You can put an LP on the plinth. close the lid and start /stop playing without needing to lift the lid.
I bought this for my son for Christmas along with a bunch of albums to get his vinyl collection started. He has a stereo system which was bought with CDs and iPod dock playing in mind but I knew that it had Bluetooth so reckoned it would be simple to connect. Unfortunately it did not have an auxiliary input and the Bluetooth is quite an old and incompatible version. I felt a bit bad as I seemed to have gifted him a need to get a new amp and speakers. He was able to link this turntable to a small Bluetooth speaker and set up and play was easy, although clearly not a good enough speaker. Unbeknownst to me he had also been coveting a REVO SuperSound in a local store although put off by the 400 + price tag. Since he wanted a new system to connect this new turntable he looked up the REVO website to see if they had a cheaper alternative but was delighted to see that they hadn’t he same one he wanted for 180! He reports back that it sounds great, it was dead easy to set up with the new system and he his delighted with it, his fiance reports tha he LOVES his new turntable.
If you are a real audiophile you would be spending a lot more than this for a real high end turntable but for the vast majority of us this is more than good enough to play our vinyl on. The playback and fidelity is very, very good. The reality is that you would have to pay at least double to get a turntable with a noticeably better sound quality.
My Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT Full Automatic Wireless Belt-Drive Turntable arrived as per date promised, well packaged and no signs of rough treatment in transit. It took me literally a few minutes to unpack and it’s extremely easy to hook up the drive belt via the ribbon attached. The best part was connecting to Bluetooth sound system, and after reading about some people having difficulty I was pleasantly surprised at the instant connection. Pressed the Bluetooth button on top of my Sony S-Force TV soundbar, then pressed the pairing button n the turntable and the sound came on instantly, oh and also kept connection from soundbar to Bluetooth remote woofer so retaining the deeper bass notes, just brilliant. It’s a joy to return to the world of vinyl (I’m in my 50’s) and although I’d given away most of my vinyl collection to charity at the advent of the music CD (oh dear), I have retained a few and it was joyous to connect the stylus to my original ELO Out of the Blue double album from 1977!! Also, when I returned to play a record another day the connection was immediate without having to re-pair the devices. Thoroughly recommend this turntable, yes it’s a bit placky when I think of the quality made turntables of my younger days (eg Pioneer and Technics etc) but it’s good. Recommend.
This is the updated version of the LP60 model, with a few tweaks and improvements. It looks great, and (for the price) the build quality is excellent.
As for the sound, it is superb. My 30-year-old records are sounding awesome. The LP60x has its own preamp (you still need your own speakers), or you can connect it to your own preamp system (which I have done), and I have no complaints about how it sounds.
One thing to note — take care when unboxing and setting it up, as you have to manually align the belt. It’s very easy, but just take your time and get it right first time.
At the time of writing, it cost me 150 and I think that is a fair price. Get yourself one now, and start enjoying your vinyl again 🙂
