Provides a unique amount of flexibility in terms of height & angle adjustment. It’s made out of aluminium and looks great coupled with my silver MacBook Pro.

It feels really solid and doesn’t wobble when typing at all (even at the highest possible position).

This is the second BoYata laptop stand that I have purchased, they have been really good for raising the laptop up to the screen level. They are sturdy and well made.

With my laptop now raised 20 cm or so, the screen is directly in front of my eyes so that I can use my computer for hours without neck pain. The stand is made to a very high quality, is nice looking and light.

I got this stand for my laptop and it is very steady. A very-well made product.

It could be hard to adjust sometimes, but that is why it is so steady.

    Love it.

This stand is very sturdy and easily adjustable meaning that my laptop screen is now displayed at an height inline with my eyes instead of looking downwards as I was doing before.

The adjustment of the stand is not flimsy and my screen stays at the same height/angle all day long. It then collapses back down for easy storage when not in use.

This laptop stand has exceeded my expectations! I am so pleased with it. Suddenly I realised that it is so stable and well designed, that I can sit on my reclining chair, with my legs and feet elevated, and have my laptop literally on my lap being supported by this product.
I highly recommend this, especially for the elderly and perhaps those of us with mobility issue, like me!

Works fine for everything up to a Macbook pro with ease, I did try with an older 15.6 Dell laptop that is quite heavy and there was a little bit of instability though.

It also looks quite beautiful too, had mine a few months now and can easily highly recommend it.

This stand can hold a MacBook Pro while underneath I can put a usb audio device, a Korg nanokey2 or even an iPad. It’s well built and has the right amount of resistance to keep a laptop in place, in other words: move the stand to your liking and it will definitely stay in that position. It folds up nice and flat.

I am bothered to write a review, says it all! Looks great, quality construction and sits smartly with my samsung curved monitor and mac mini. I didn’t do a lot of research before buying this so cannot say it is THE best out there, but in addition to writing a review, I will also be buying another.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLooks fairly decent without being exactly cutting-edge, but it’s mostly hidden anyway. Good enough and holds my MacBook easily to give me a middle small screen alongside two mahoosive ones.

Feels very well put together and is nice and strong so doesn’t move the laptop at all, in fact it’s quite stiff to move it into the correct position, but as you won’t do that often and it means the thing is pretty locked in place then this is ideal.

    Great for the money!

I’ve found that most laptop stands aren’t sturdy enough to hold my hefty windows work laptop. Though this one still wobbles a little, it does a pretty good job! I only wish that it could flatten down all the way so I could transport it more easily. It is good for using at home, but because it doesn’t fully flatten, you can’t travel with it as easily as you can with other ones.

Good sturdy stand. Holds my 15.6 inch laptop still and at any angle. Has some weight to it and silicone feet too so does not move when using the laptop. At first it looks like it will fold back with some pressure but it needs quite some force to adjust so it’s perfect. The only issue I can see with this is when the hinges become loose, there isn’t a way to tighten them. But we’ll see how well it survives.

    Good strong stand

I try not to move it too much on the basis of seeing the odd review that mentioned there is no way to tighten it back up of it gets a bit loose. However the typing and viewing position is much better than just leaving it in the desk.

I recently purchased a laptop stand and I am really happy with its build quality and performance. I purchased this because I have a heavy duty 17″ laptop and the stand is not only proving sufficiently study to support it (my main reason for purchasing) but I’ve noticed that it improves airflow so well that my laptop fan doesn’t need to activate anywhere as much as it used to in order to cool the processor down.

Good product, well made. I don’t agree with other reviews that the stand is ‘too stiff’ to adjust. I have no issues and if it were more flexible then it simply wouldn’t be suited to large, heavy laptops.

Cannot fault this product at all – it does the job and then some. Yes, maybe a little pricey to what you may think for a laptop stand but honestly – you pay for the quality and this product has quality all over it!! Only been using it for a week but it’s super sturdy and holds the laptop properly. I’m sure there are many other stands out there, but I’m lucky I didn’t have to look too far to find a decent one.

Spent ages trawling through Amazon for a decent portable screen stand as I need 2 screens for my laptop and not a stand that just points the screen at my chest. Even searching pictures on Google didn’t produce what I needed as portability was essential. Amazingly there were no pictures of this stand fully raised up as a monitor stand, but just any amount in a laptop stand configuration. Admittedly a bit of the stand pokes up above this 15inch widescreen and I certainly recommend a bit of velcro attaching monitor to stand and another from table to stand if you’re going to open the stand as extremely wide and high as this, but I’m well pleased with this solution.

Works great as a screen monitor stand

Brilliant stand. Bit expensive but so glad I spent a bit extra and bought this one. Very strong and robust. Will last a very long time in my opinion. You can adjust height and angle to suit you. It’s very sturdy and stable. The only thing missing is that it does not go high enough to work standing comfortably, if you try, it will become a bit unbalanced.

I for one am guilty of hunching over a laptop and then wondering why my shoulders are aching. Working from home the only person assessing my “work station” is me and this was long overdue. Immediate difference in my posture using this so my laptop is raised – I then added a bluetooth keyboard at desk height so my working position is far better than it was. This is a great quality product, lightweight and looks sleek. I’ve not had it long so can’t comment on the durability (there are no locking screws to maintain height). So far so good, very pleased with this purchase, which actually, now I am sitting better is making me more productive!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI like this stand and I like that it comes it different colours. I looked to get any stand to stop my bad posture when working from home. I have one desk monitor and used the laptop screen as a second monitor, however it was beginning to hurt my neck and shoulders as it wasn’t the same height.

I was going to get a cheaper stand but decided to get one that was sturdy and adjustable. The reviews were good so I got this one.

It is sturdy, fairly weighty and importantly, it’s adjustable. The first time I raised it and put the laptop on it was a bit wobbly. However I realised adjusting it by one side at a time made it unbalanced. Raising it from the middle stopped that. I would say though that if you are using the laptop keyboard, it does feel like the laptop will tip the stand backwards when standing. I use a separate keyboard and mouse so this doesn’t really affect me.

In all though it’s a good stand and will fit in a bag to use on the go.

    Nice desk stand

Made from quality materials, sturdy and stable. It’s so stable that it’s actually quite difficult to adjust the height and angles. Not really an issue for me and it reassures me that the stand won’t collapse given time or under the weight of the laptop. Wouldn’t be ideal for anyone with grip or strength issues however.

Very pleased with this well made unit. All the edges are smooth. It has thin rubber padding in all the right places. It is also quite stiff at the joints, so no chance of it collapsing under the weight. It is also one of the few available in different colours, which was important for me as I wanted a black one.

Golden Review Award: 130 From Our UsersI’m currently trying to get a set up so that I can use my elderly but upgraded and adequate laptop for general PC tasks rather than my desktop which is massively overpowered and wasteful of electricity for such things (although it does heat my office quite nicely!)

I thought I may as well get a stand like this so that I could use both the laptop screen and my main monitor when needed and it puts the laptop screen at a much more neck friendly height. I use an external keyboard so this works.

I liked that colours other than Apple silver were available since my laptop is grey. It’s not a perfect match of course, but looks pretty OK.

The stand is really well made (I’m an engineer by background and quite fussy). It’s fairly simple cut and bent aluminium alloy, but the arms/struts are nicely milled. There are no sharp or rough edges and the paint finish is good with a very slight hammered look.

Rubber pads are present on the main plate which goes underneath your laptop and on the lips which stick up at the front to hold it. Laptop goes on easily and feels very secure.

I don’t know what type of pivots they use on the arms/struts. I’m not going to be opening closing mine much so longevity of these is not a concern. They are very stiff which is perfect for my use, but not so great if you were planning to take this places with you a lot.

Could do with the logo being less prominent , but that’s about the only downside I can find.

FWIW, I have also bought a powered USB hub (Sabrent) with loads of ports to attach all my peripherals and then I have two USB 3.0 cables. One for the laptop, one for the desktop, so it’s easy to swap between the two and have all peripherals swapped from one PC to the other.

Reviews are right - this is a cracking item. Choice of colours useful.

Golden Review Award: 34 From Our UsersA great product! It is a little stiff when first trying to set it to the correct height for me. However, it is sturdy and stable and overall a fantastic laptop stand/riser. It has allowed me to increase the height of my laptop so that my neck no longer hurts from looking down at the screen on my desk. I have a separate keyboard and mouse that I use. Would recommend this laptop stand. It was recommended to me by my work colleague and I am pleased with the purchase. Good quality, a little expensive but worth it!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis is a thing of pure beauty, the build quality is absolutely fantastic, its not especially heavy, but robust enough to withstand a 17″ Acer laptop. Yes, it is a little stiff to adjust, but better that way than a little softer, . You will probably find once you are comfortable with your chosen position, you’ll end up leaving it in that position. I purchased a Bluetooth keyboard & mouse to use in front of a huge 32″ monitor, and I just simply juggle between the two depending on what I want to do.

This is the second time I’ve bought a stand, as the first was too short. I am 5’6″ so this is perfect. This one is very adjustable and takes up little space, allowing me to work with the small desk I have. I’m very pleased with it! It seems sturdy and almost perfectly matches the rose gold MacBook Air I have. One complaint would be the visible company logo in large letters as it takes away from tue aesthetic. Smaller font on the underside would be preferred.

    Really happy with it!

Golden Review Award: 34 From Our UsersI certainly wouldn’t have any concern about the sturdiness of this product, and I have an Apple Pro laptop where the casing measures 16″. Sadly, I had to return it as I have weak wrists and I couldn’t open it and close it. I had to ask someone else which was impractical or always leave it open.

Golden Review Award: 123 From Our UsersI liked this stand when I received it but within a few moments I knew it had a critical flaw. Please see below a list of pros and cons and a bottom line:

    Pros:
    + Sturdy
    + Fashionable
    + Does Not Wobble
    + Can bear weight easily
    + Looks and feels professional

    Cons:
    – Somewhat difficult to adjust; my partner had a hard time with it
    – If the adjustment loosens or gets weak there is no was to manually fix it
    – it is bulky – you wont want to travel with this- it is a little larger than a macbook 13 in

Bottom Line: This could be good- a sturdy stand that allows you to adjust with no grooves or notches- but should the tension that keeps the adjustment strong start to fail there would be no way to fix it- its also bulky to the point where you wouldn’t want to take it with you anywhere.

I can fold it down and it fits in my laptop bag with the laptop. It may feel a bit bulky in the bag but definitely worth being able to take between home and office so easily.
It is very sturdy and stiff when folding out to desired position and back down again, I suppose it needs to be to avoid having tightening bolts.
Overall I am pretty pleased with this stand so far.

I got the BoYata laptop stand to improve posture and help neck pain/stiffness from looking down at a laptop screen for hours. This is a game changer. With the BoYata stand and a wireless keyboard, I have a whole new ergonomical set-up so that I am sitting straight and the top of the screen is at eye level. The BoYata stand is high quality, elegant and matches my silver Mac laptop perfectly. It is stiff to move such that once it is in the perfect position there is no risk of it shifting position or collapsing. I leave it set up all the time as it doesn’t take up any more desk space than the laptop itself, and the separate keyboard fits perfectly in the gap underneath. Very pleased!

Golden Review Award: 62 From Our UsersReally pleased with this purchase. The stand is very solid, the joints are firm, so no chance of the stand sagging in normal use. The while thing feels like a premium item.

I was especially pleased with the height of the hooks at the front, they extend upwards approx. 2cm from the base, rather than the 1.5 cm height specified by a lot of other similar products. This is important, as my laptop as an upward curved profile along its front edge and so could possibly slip over the hooks if they were not quite tall enough. No danger of that here.

I also like the silicone padded surfaces which not only act as anti-slip support, but also prevent the laptop from being scratched.

    Excellent overall.

Golden Review Award: 137 From Our UsersI have been working from home the last few months due to the current pandemic. Initially I tried using my laptop on my desk and realised that was causing back ailments. I then improvised using a cookery book stand that i requisitioned from the kitchen: this was a lot better but still not the perfect height.

So I did lots of research and saw that many stands looked flimsy, unaesthetic, and not sturdy. The Boyata that I ordered from Amazon arrived within two days: amazing speedy delivery. It’s superb! It matches the look of my MacBook Air very well. It has great ventilation at the back to prevent overheating. It oozes sturdiness (you could use it as a weapon to knock someone out!) and looks good on the desk. The brand logo is etched on the front; some reviewers have complained about its prominence, but I”m led to wonder if they complain about an Apple logo; I have no problem with it, and maybe people just need to get over seeing a foreign sounding name on a product.

But most importantly, it does what it is designed to do: to support a laptop at a designated height. As other reviewers have pointed out, the friction joints are stiff, but they need to be so that, once set to chosen height, there is no risk of accidental movement or sagging. One point to note as a result, and, again, others are right to point this out, is that once you have it set just leave it on the desk for the next time you use it; don’t fold it away. It certainly CAN be folded away, but it’s then going to take longer to unfold it and to re-locate your ideal position.

Regarding ideal position of adjustment, I have found that the stand doesn’t need to be anywhere as high as you initially might think. The bottom arm is bette placed as close to horizontal as possible for you; that way, there is no risk of the weight of your laptop tipping the stand over backwards.

If you buy this stand, it comes with a card that allows you to register for an extra one year’s warranty (making it two years in total), which is clearly a good thing. I am assuming that the manufacturer will support the item in all meaningful ways.

Going forward, there are two things that the desingners might want to consider in tweaking the design. One is to maybe make the joints accessible by the user so that they can be tightened (if necessary) over the long term. The second, and one that I consider more important, is that I think the front edge should be an upwards ledge so that there is no risk of one’s laptop ever sliding forward: this hasn’t happened to me, but I can see that (if one were in a rush) it could: an upsweeping lip would prevent this. I hope this constructive feedback will be taken on board.

Overall, I cannot think of a better laptop stand that I could have found to allow me to use my laptop on my desk., so I recommend this product without qualification.

Golden Review Award: 35 From Our UsersThis is actually better than I thought it was going to be. It’s very sturdy and nicely made. The packaging was awesome… it shipped in a custom made bubble bag that I was so impressed with I’ve kept in the hope I can repurpose for something. My laptop has a 14in screen and this sits nicely on the stand, overlapping each side by about an inch or so. The height range is impressive, you can actually get your laptop screen right up to your eyeline (which I know is the point) but you can also alter the angle of the top plate so you can still use the laptop keyboard if you wish. I prefer to use a separate bluetooth keyboard and this slots neatly under the laptop when not in use so you dont lose any desk space. I actually find this quite handy for moving location as I can stow my pad, keyboard and mouse on the base plate and then grab the top plate and my laptop together and move everything in one go. I’ve docked one star as I think it’s a bit overpriced but that might have been due to the fact that I bought this during the COVID-19 lockdown (supply and demand and all that…). Overall, if you work regularly from a laptop you really should invest in a riser for the sake of your back and you wont be disappointed in this one.

Golden Review Award: 169 From Our UsersI was incredibly surprised with the quality of the item when I received it. I had tried a few generic laptop stands previous and they always seemed either too cheap in materials used, flimsy, looked rubbish etc.

This BoYata stand is excellent quality and I’d say it wouldn’t be out of place in the apple store itself – but then it would cost well over 100! in all seriousness, the tightness of the hinges is just right and the adjustability is perfect meaning you can easily get the perfect height and perfect tilt for any situation. The top deck has neoprene pads so at no point is the MacBook metal to metal meaning you don’t need to worry.

The colour of it is really similar to the standard apple aluminium finish, my MacBook is finished in space grey, but it still looks great on the stand.

Ive already had a few compliments on co workers who’ve noticed it!

A first class product that for what I paid seems to be too cheap! Its a quality product, similar to Apple quality for next to nothing. Don’t waste your time on other stands, this is brilliant!

Incredible quality - An ideal match to my Apple Mac Book Pro 13" Touch Ba

Golden Review Award: 157 From Our UsersI purchased the larger laptop holder for two reasons: 1) I have an 18″ Toshiba Satellite which is pretty big and 2) I wanted the stand with the large central hole for cooling the laptop which gets hot pretty quickly.

The laptop fits perfectly safely on the stand and stays cool, so reasons 1) and 2) are both catered for.

Why did I buy the stand in the first place? Again, 2 reasons: 1) Because I needed my laptop screen more at eye level to prevent me having to tip my head back to see through the bottom half of my varifocal glasses, and subsequently suffering from a stiff neck and shoulders. 2) I wanted a standard keyboard because the Toshiba laptop one is not angled correctly for me, and is quite unresponsive unless you bash the keys. As a touch typist, I need a keyboard that instantly responds to a light and very fast touch. Only having very limited desk space meant I had no room for another keyboard.
By buying the stand I achieved both points. See photos showing the standard Microsoft keyboard tucked away under the laptop, freeing up desk space for writing etc., and pulled forward to type with.

The stand takes a bit of muscle power to get to the correct height, but once there, it doesn’t move and not having to fiddle with adjusting screws or knobs is a bonus.

The stand is solidly made of an attractive silver matt finished metal, with stoppers in the front to prevent the laptop sliding off, with rubber pads on them to protect the edge of the laptop. There are also 4 rubber (or silicone) pads on the platform to add secure grip to the laptop.

As this particular stand was only released recently, I pre0ordered it, but it still arrived earlier than the estimated date, extremely well packaged.

I would definitely recommend this stand.
