A lovely medium firm mattress. Doesn’t dip. A fan for the price.
Good quality memory foam mattress, I have paid up to 200 for similar items and the quality of this one is pretty good so 159 (at the time of review) is quite good value. Have used for months with no degradation to the mattress form and has given many a comfortable nights sleep.
First to note, when taking this out of the wrapper make sure you have room as it did bounce out and take shape very quickly! It does warn to air the mattress out before using but I didn’t notice any smell at all. Anyway, I have been using this mattress for a few months now so can speak from experience rather than of something brand new. I used to get a crick in my back quite often, despite having a good mattress from a well-known brand. This is a firmer mattress, feels more cushiony to the touch and, the most important thing, makes for a great nights sleep. I do have issues sleeping but it has been helped with the right mattress, who knew, eh? The only thing I don’t like, and it seems every mattress is the same these days, is that it isn’t double sided so can’t flip but as it’s just for me I can turn the mattress round for equal wear.
Feels slightly small but super comfy. Definitely recommend but would like to be a bit bigge
This mattress came rolled in a box – this was a bit difficult to get up the stairs as its quite heavy and awkward to carry – after getting it upstairs I needed a lay down but sadly once out of the box I had to weight 24-48 hours for it to settle!
Mattress itself is okay – I found it a little too soft for my liking and felt it wasnt as comfortable as my previous mattress. However, I do find I feel less of my partner tossing and turning on it so I get less disturbed which makes for a better nights sleep.
I am not sure of the price as the version I had was a standard double and this is no longer available – the small double is 230ish and I would expect this to come in under 250 to make it a decent value optio
I was amazed at the quality of this mattress. It came in a cardboard box, not too big but quite heavy. We took it upstairs with ease. Once out of the box we popped it onto the bed base. It’s in two lots of plastic. The outer just pulls off, the inner one we cut with scissors. The air rushes in and the mattress expands. We left it overnight to expand and air. It’s quite a firm mattress but very comfortable. We’re impressed.
Got this for daughter’s bedroom because she got double bed and rest are all king-size in our house.
Mattress came vacuumed and rolled in a small box with Closeyeux branding on it. It didn’t took long for mattress to come in original shape but recommended waiting time is 24 to 48 hrs after unboxing. Box is about 30KG in weight so make sure you don’t heart your back lifting this.
Memory foam and coil systems work perfectly together and gives a relaxing and cosy feeling.
After a month of use my daughter find this mattress comfortable and better sleep in night. Overall a great mattress, not too expensive and looks like it will last long time. At the time of review this product was available for 229 for double.
I have had this mattress for about a month now and so far all of my experience has been positive. For my previous mattress, I spend just over 600 on a king-size and it’s already started to lose some of its firmness.
I was impressed from the get-go when it was delivered. It came in a relatively small box which was a lot easier to carry upstairs to the bedroom compared to my previous mattress. I pierced the vacuum seal and put the mattress in the bedroom in the morning and by the evening the mattress was fully expanded and ready to be slept on. No chemical smells or anything. The mattress leans more to the firm side which me and my partner were wanting, I have had no issues with back pain since using it because the support is great.
Overall it’s a really nice mattress, I hadn’t heard of Closeyeux prior to ordering the mattress but I wouldn’t have any problem recommending them.
Absolutely the best. This is such a comfortable mattress i don’t even have words to describe to you the feeling you have when you lay on it for the first time…it’s like you are laying down on a cloud….not like i would know how that’s like…or if it’s possible… but the feeling is unbelievable. The memory foam at the top makes it very comfortable to be on….and to also turn around when you are in bed….it doesn’t give you the feeling that you are sinking in it’s just the right firmness. Very breathable material….keeps you cool but warm enough. The perfect size. It was very easy to take out of the box…mind you…it’s a big box…so make sure you are home when you receive it. You just take it out of the back…witch is vacuumed sealed….and you leave the mattress to take shape….it will fluff up in no time. This is worth the price with no doubt in my mind…would gladly recommend it to anyone i know.
Comfortablility is an under comment for this Mattress.
I am impressed with the was it was designed. Its nice and very comfortable to sleep on. It fits into my bed perfectly well making it the right size for double bed.
It is well designed and nicely finished. I am absolutely pleased with this and will surely recommend it for you
Arrived safely and presented perfectly with no issues. This was very easy to open and fit in moments with no strong overwhelming odours unlike some previous ones in the past.
I was particularly impressed with the comfort and standout quality that this had to offer and it has been a fantastic replacement in terms of pain relief and no bad backs since having this and to be fair its improved my sleep quality and I gladly recommend it for a stylish well made mattress with a stable shape also definitely designed to last.
This product arrives in vacuum sealed in a cardboard box but you still need someone strong to lift it to your room.
Unpack it and leave it to air for an hour or better still, over night.
The spring system with combined memory foam supports your entire body – when your partner moves at night you will not feel it is much. It’s like seeping in a firm marshmallow! Highly recommended.
90x190x22cm single bed memory foam mattress which is well finished and comes as boxed rolled up vacuumed box. It is amazing to open and reanimate. It was perfect and ready to use in 36-48 hours. I found the mattress supported me well and particularly great for good deep sleep and excellent back/spine support. I found the mattress very easy to clean, turn and use. The top cover is a knitted fabric provides which is soft and comfortable. This makes the mattress more breathable to help regulate body temperature and prevent overheating during sleep. I found my wriggling significantly reduced and my sleep quality was much better with this mattress. I now sleep permantly on this mattress. Highly recommended, Andrew
It comes compactly packed in an airtight bag inside of a cardboard box. Once opened it comes to its full size straight away but still needs airing. The mattress itself is very comfortable for me and my husband. It is soft enough, but also stays straight, so it keeps the spine in the straight position. Also, I can’t feel my husband’s movements, which gives me a better night’s sleep. On this mattress, I’m not feeling too hot or too cold, keeps my body’s temperature at a good level throughout the night. Good quality mattress.
We thought we would give this mattress a go as we needed a new one in the spare bedroom – we had ordered a mattress elsewhere however there is a huge delay at the minute with delivery, so thought why not try this instead.
We’ve gone ahead and cancelled our original mattress order – as this feels so much better than the one we tried in the shop from a different brand.
The mattress comes rolled up in a cardboard box, after removing from the packaging the instructions recommend allowing it to air for 24 hours or so to fully let the mattress ‘get to size’.
The mattress utilises both a mix of pocket springs and memory foam – with a 9 zone support area.
It’s really comfortable to be honest and so much better than the old hybrid we previously had – it doesn’t feel too soft nor too firm, it’s just right.
Breathable material and build – have slept on this myself for a few nights and I am a warm sleeper, it’s really cool and doesn’t get too warm at all. Material is really soft!
I am really satisfied with the overall value and quality of the mattress – and would highly recommend this to family and friends.
Quite a novel way to receive a mattress, all rolled up in a box. It is quite a heavy box to manoeuvre and that is reflected by the state the box arrived in, but the mattress is perfectly protected inside.
Instructions state to wait 24-48 hours after opening the mattress up before using it. It doesn’t take anywhere near that time to spring into life and visually looks like a mattress not long after opening, but it obviously needs more time for the internal structure to settle into place.
A lot of self discipline was needed to keep off the mattress until the suggested time period was up, but once able to test out, it wasn’t an instant love of the mattress, some adjustment was needed over a few nights, but that may be due to being a new and different mattress.
The motion isolating support coils really help to reduce the movement of the mattress when a partner tosses and turns, and although I have yet to sleep through the summer on it, I have noticed a difference in temp compared to the old mattress already.
This is one of the most comfortable, vacuum packed budget mattresses I’ve ever had; It has coil system in individual tubes at the base and a memory foam layer, which makes it firm and supportive to the back – and I do not disturb my Mrs when I’m rolling over!
I would classify its firmness as ‘medium’ for this instance. Over the past few years I had a bit of a struggle to pick the right mattress, had many trials and errors, but this time I feel I made the right choice. The general rule of thumb when deciding the firmness of the mattress is, that heavier people should avoid mattresses that are too soft as they won’t provide sufficient support, while lighter people should steer away from very firm mattresses (which can cause pain in the hips and shoulders). Medium support suits most people best and you could consider a topper if you find it needs slightly softening or firming up.
Certainly worth recommendation!
We were looking for something a bit more comfortable than our old mattress for our elderly parents. This mattress is perfect for them, came in a tiny box which I wasn’t expecting but removing from the box and bursting the vacuum sealed bag the mattress sprung back to its proper shape and size in seconds. We’ve found this mattress to be nice and firm offering plenty of support and our parents love it, said they haven’t slept so well for ages. The mattress is really comfortable and we have no complaints. Thoroughly recommended by our Old yins.
This is a really reasonably priced memory foam mattress that’s easy to get delivered (it comes rolled up in a easy to manage box) and though perhaps not as comfy as some of the higher end mattress’s it’s still supportive enough to sleep on and helps my back pain a lot.
You do get what you pay for so I’m not sure how long the support will last but if you’re looking for a cheap and easy mattress this is the one for you and I’d definitely recommend it.
It is a quite heavy mattress in such a compact package.
Once you open it, takes like 10 min to be perfectly in shape. It is very nice strong material and silky surface.
135x190x22cm is mine and fits perfectly in my bed frame. Extremely comfortable, warm, scentless.
I’m very happy with it and for a good price. I bouth few years ago another from IKEA more expensive and this one is mostly the same.
Totally recommended
This is a lovely mattress, comfortable to sleep on and made from good quality material. It was delivered in a box, very tightly wrapped and too heavy for me to move on my own. It should be opened slowly, as it needs to regain its true shape and size. I have put this mattress on the single bed in my spare room and slept on it several times. It seems very well made, at a reasonable price, and I would recommend it.
Got this mattress for guest room, even the old mattress wasn’t too old but I decided to replace with this new. Mattress in a box.. I wasn’t expecting that. I cleaned a corner in garage because I was expecting a full mattress length delivery box.
Mattress took time to expand it’s original size. I gave mattress a day before jumping on it. It’s very comfy and top memory foam layer is very relaxing. Top layer gives you body a kinda massage and relax your muscles.
Coils and memory foam give a perfect balance. No handles to hold and move mattress, mine is single so no fuss about them but could be problem for who are buying double or king size.
Overall a good budget mattress for spare bedrooms/ guests room. Well made and came nicely packed. At the time of review this product was available for 159 plus extra 15% off discount voucher.
This fits well under my guest room wooden bed so it can be pulled out as, an extra bed should I have friends stay over who have children. It’s errs on the side of medium soft so in my opinion is best for children or people who aren’t very heavy as I think it may become uncomfortable for a heavier person after some time.
It arrives vacuum packed in plastic which is then in a box so very transportable and easy to store until needed. To open I’d advise to place on a double or larger bed and put a few careful cuts into the plastic to allow air start to begin the expansion process. If you cut open the whole package quickly it may pop and roll out a bit fast, this is based upon past memory foam mattresses I’ve had. After a few minutes cut off the plastic packaging and allow the mattress to settle for about 48 hours before use. This is normal for memory foam mattresses.
The mattress is excellent for its price, currently 159, and seems to be extremely well constructed with no stitching faults. The quilting adds extra comfort for the user. There’s no chemical smell which some mattresses seem to have.
This should last for many years with light use or a lighter weight person but if the user is an adult of eleven or so stone or more I think it may need a board underneath for firmer support and extra longevity (especially if you have a slatted bed base).
Definitely worth buying at this price if you need a softer – medium mattress. If you need a firm or extra firm this may not be for you.
The mattress took almost a day or so to totally spread out and it was really soft and comfortable than we were expected.
Ordered for the small box room and the fit was perfect
The 9 zone supporting is simply amazing and works in my experience. The memory foam performs impressively by adjusting according to the various contours of the body and supporting the skin without any irritation.
In general I like the mattress’ comfort and quality but the price (159 at the time of writing this review), I think it is a bit on the higher side.
Absolutely Loved it. Awesome Mattress at such a low price. This Hybrid mattress was delivered in my time and it just took 2 hours to expand to its full form. In the past i bought foam only mattress that gave me a lot of back pain. But now after buying this hybrid mattress with innerspring and foam as top layer my back pain is gone. I highly recommend this mattress.
I usually go for brand name mattresses with expert recommended reviews as I believe in the slogan: “Always invest the best you can afford in 2 things: mattress & shoes; because if you’re not in one, you’ll be in the other, so they have to be comfortable!”
However, I was quite surprised by the quality of this matters. I agree the top foam.part could be thicker for better comfort but it’s still very comfortable. So far, a very light person (~60 kg) & also very heavy person (130 kg) slept on it & both found it very comfortable. They didn’t “go in” & felt supported. Especially for the heavier person, who has found many mattresses uncomfortable & causing him pains & aches.
The springs are so far supportive & I’d say it’s medium support.
Warning: I recently bought a mattress on Amazon, came up tops in search, based on raving reviews, beware there are many people who are getting free items on Amazon in exchange for brined 5 star reviews. It was a big hassle sending it back plus caused back pain for my elderly father. Use your own intuition as the reviews sound phoney & unprofessional (over-praised!!).
I have this Closeyeux mattress in size 90 x 190 x 22cm and it fitted single bed frame perfectly.
It doesn’t have side handles but it was easy to move it around without handles as it is not very big.
The mattress arrived rolled in a rather small box, excellent idea for an easy transportation.
After unpacking it I left it for 48h so it had time to fully expand.
I wanted this mattress to replace my old one in the spare room.
This mattress looks and feels well made from a decent quality fabric.
It seems of a premium quality covered in beautiful, thick and soft to touch fabric.
The stitching is strong and neat.
I didn’t notice any vents but somehow it is breathable as I didn’t sweat while sleeping on it.
My old firm mattress didn’t provide match support after all those years, so I found the new one very comfortable.
It is made from combination of memory foam with spring pockets.
Very comfortable to slip on or just to lay down and relax with just a right support for my back.
It isn’t very deep, but it is not a problem as provides good support.
Despite having a scoliosis I found it comfortable to sleep on and woke up without a back pain.
The quality is very good and the mattress look posh.
A bit pricey for single size – 127.20 after 20% off voucher, but really well made with excellent balance of comfort and support.
Looks sturdy, so should last for long.
Tightly wrapped in its vacuum-sealed packaging, this Closeyeux single mattress unfurls quickly but gently to its final shape, helping you to get a smooth, fresh and comfortable night’s sleep from day one.
Odourless and resistant to allergens, it is a doddle to wipe down and keep dust-free, and the pocket springs spread your weight evenly such that everything feels light and relaxing. The foam layer is needed, to add what I find to be a slightly elusive softness, and happily, it succeeds in keeping your body a pleasant temperature all night long.
As I’ve mentioned, I find it to be a little firmer than the product description suggests with a flat, taut bounce, particularly if you are quite light. But despite that it still allows limbs and muscles to have a restful night and feel refreshed in the morning, so it’s definitely succeeding in its main mission. I really like it.
This single bed sized mattress is a medium/firm softness. It combines pocket springs and memory form. The mattress arrived in a compressed and rolled up bag. I left for 24hrs to properly expand and now sharing my thoughts after the 7th night.
Things I liked:
* incredibly thick (22cm thick)
* no squeaky spring noises
* comfortable and soft top material
* feels luxurious and gave me good night sleep
Overall, its a medium firmness but personally I wished the firmness was harder. The hybrid of pocket springs and memory foam is a good idea but also wished the memory foam layer was thicker. Its a great mattress but for my personal needs, I’d be looking for a firmer and thicker layered memory foam.
This mattress comes vacuum packed and in a box. It’s a bit heavy so you might need a bit of strength or help getting it to where you want it.
It was easy enough to get it out of the box then unwrap the film that keeps it rolled up. Then carefully make a hole in the bag to let the air in. It’s better to let the mattress expand and then get rid of the bag as it’s easier to manoeuvre.
I let it rest and expand properly for a couple of days then tested it out.
It seems well made and has a neat finish with a woven cloth. A combination of sprung sections and memory foam top.
It’s medium firm, doesn’t have much wobble at all (two of us bounced a bit on it to test), and the top is thick enough that you don’t feel the springs.
My partner and I both like a slightly different mattress but we agree that we could easily sleep on this.
Even though you don’t flip this type of mattress you still should turn them, so I would have liked it to have some handles to make it easier to do this.
Other than that, this is great as a spare bed and I think it would last well as a kid’s bed.
I must admit I was a bit dubious about receiving a compressed mattress in a box,but have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of it.
First off this is great for shipping and transportation,as this is compressed in a single upright box this could be brought home in a car or even via a bus,no need to hire out a van.
I was out when the parcel arrived do the courier left it outside my flat front door as requested, easy for me to bring inside:)
Before opening the plastic seal it is best to do this in a good space as it does literally bounce back into it’s normal shape/size once the plastic seal is broken.
The instruction leaflet recommends leaving the mattress to air for 24-48 hours to air and fully get it shape back.I left it for around about 36 and found this was more than enough for any packaging smells to fully disperse,
I have now tested the mattress out and got my first night of sleep on it.I found the mattress to be comfortable and am pleased with the sleep I got on it.The mattress is medium firm-so is not too hard or soft.
Quality of the mattress build is good and at this price point represents good value for money.More than happy to recommend.
Mattress arrived in cardboard box. Mattress was packed in air tight, strong bag to reduce the space taken for storing it. As soon we removed the packaging, the mattress has gained on thickness. We left it for a day to get to its full shape.
The fabric is very good quality, soft and strong.
The top memory foam layer could be thicker to add more comfort, because with time, springs will be more noticable.
It’s a single mattress, perfect for my daughter’s bed. She currently has mattress where the springs can be felt a bit. It’s time to upgrade to this new mattress. Medium hardness is good for children and teenagers. The new mattress also could be good as guest mattress, occasional use.
I tried to lay on the mattress and for me is to soft. Now i have firm mattress from IKEA and I like it very much. It’s not as bouncy and I hope stays this way.
My daughter likes her new mattress, she likes medium firmness. She slept a night on it and woke up happily.
How long this mattress will last, it’s depending on user.. kids like to jump on the bed, eat snacks in bed so they using it faster than average adult. Time will tell.. This mattress is to expensive but with 40-50% voucher it’s good value for money.
Ordered for the spare room. I have slept a couple of nights on it to test it out. It is a good firm mattress, that fitted my existing bed perfectly. Super pleased with the feel and quality. It looks and feels better than my more expensive mattress.
Good value and comfy mattress although as a side sleeper I may invest in an additional topper. But no aches or pains in the morning so must be okay!
Whether it would last as long it is too early to say. But as it is just for the spare room, couldn’t be happier.
Loss of star as it’s more soft than medium IMO and there are no handles – but maybe I’m being harsh as it is very comfortable and of course a great price
I was fascinated to see the mattress reduced to a thin rolled up ‘lump’ on opening the box. To say it’s vacuum packed is an understatement but does make for easy shipping. As with anything packed like this it needs time to expand back up and settle. Make sure you have enough space when you open it as it does pop up with a vengeance. Best to make a small slit in the bag one end and let it suck the air in slowly rather than open the bag up in one rush. Once done it does take time to expand back fully. I took this time to inspect the mattress for defects/bugs. I found the material nice enough and the stitching is of good quality with no over stitching or run offs. I found no tears or blemishes in the material and no sign of any insects/bugs present. It’s hard to say how comfortable it is as everyone is different and so you need to decide for your self using the trial period. Trying on the floor I could feel the different support zones and although I couldn’t feel the spring surfaces when laying down I do feel the memory foam layer is a bit on the thin side. Being a hybrid this is not so much a deal breaker and again what is Comfortable to me may not be for you so I will say for the money it’s very reasonable and of sufficient quality to make it a good buy in my eyes
This was given to my son who is 6 years old, he previously had an all foam mattress from dreams the bed shop, however it was very expensive and excess of 350. To compare a 350 mattress to 160 mattress is quite straightforward, this is not as good as a 350 mattress however it’s quite comfortable and my son enjoyed sleeping on it. For a pocket sprung mattress it’s able to cope with the weight of my son, however I have tried sleeping on it and found that it was not supportive enough for a fully grown adult as such I would only recommend this if you are buying it for a child’s. The memory foam layer is quite thin however it does provide a nice comfortable layer to sleep on and didn’t find a getting too hot. The mattress came in a box and it weighs about 18 kg so you may need help with carrying up the stairs.
I never heard this brand for as such I can only base it’s quality from testing and it seemed like a good quality mattress however I am unaware of what the customer service would be like if there was an issue with the mattress.
