I bought this product for my rising desk, working from home etc. When it arrived, in good time, it was missing the clamp I needed to attach it to the desk but customer services who were excellent sent one over. I couldn’t install it, it wobbled all over, I wasn’t happy… Customer services explained very patiently that I was doing it wrong, which I was, entirely my fault, and hey presto I now have a perfectly installed power bar on my desk thanks to my new friends in customer services! Sturdy construction, really solid product. Thanks again customers services.
I’ve got a couple of these desk-edge mains adaptors and this one from Haylink is probably the most solidly made and the best-looking and well-finished with no sharp or unfinished edges. Most of the body is aluminium and it and the clamp that holds it to the desk are extruded from hefty metal, feeling much sturdier than most desk clamp devices. The clamp also fits neatly into a slot running along the bottom edge of the back of the adaptor and looks very neat in situ. Worth noting it can only cope with desktops up to about 35mm thick. Also worth noting you don’t need to use the clamp at all and the adaptor sits quite happily on your desktop without it.
It’s got a gratifyingly long 3m cable for once so you don’t have to be right next to the wall socket to make use of it and that fact alone makes it twice as useful as some. My only slight complaint would be that the power switch on front of the unit is a bit loose-feeling, it works perfectly well but it feels a bit cheaper than the rest of the unit. The two USB ports are really handy but they’re not Quick Charge compatible so maybe most useful for less sophisticated devices. I haven’t noticed the device getting over warm while charging two devices at once. All together a really handy adaptor that looks much better than most and doesn’t need to be hidden away.
I ordered this desk socket for my home office to make it easier to plug in devices without going under the desk.
Add an added bonus it had 2 inbuilt usb charging ports so there’s no need for plug in chargers for phones, tablets etc.
There is on on/off switch with inbuilt overload with reset in the switch. The usb ports light up when the power is on.
It is easy to install, there is a slide on clamp that when loose the socket will clip into. Once the clamp is tightened, the socket it secured tight in position.
Have it for few months now and am really happy with it it’s right beside my computer desk whenever I need to charge my cameras batteries, iPhone, etc it’s just right beside you and it’s tidy rather than getting some cables hanging out from behind the desk.
This is a fantastic addition to the desk in my home office. Although my Mac and monitors are plugged in behind my desk, I often found myself having to reach around the back to plug in various chargers. This has made the whole process much more convenient!
The product is very well made, aesthetically pleasing (my desk is white) and rock solid. The clamp holds it in place perfectly, meaning that I can insert and remove plugs with ease.

Loved the aluminium frame and the inclusion of two usb charging ports. Sufficient cable to reach the mains, and looks stylish too!
I would like to see a version with universal sockets and switches on each socket. But it’s made my IT life easier swapping gadgets around.
It claims to the desk fine, no marks so far, that’s an added bonus!

It can be screwed to the desk surface allowing it to stay in place and is really easy to install with just few simple steps – it’s especially good for mobile and standing desks if you worry about your cables accidentally pulling out from normal extension lead.
Definitely recommend the product for home office use like mine
