Dreamcatcher Luxurious Electric Throw Heated Throw Blanket

I bought this for my 18 Year old grandaughter. She loves it! It heats up very quickly and the temperature control works well. It can be put on “high ” then lowered to “low”‘ when you want a steady warm temperature. At the very least you could at least lower the room temperature or put off any external heat altogether and remain cosy. The blanket itself has a soft cosy feel. It is washable with the lead and plug removed but cannot comment further on this as it has not yet been washed. Useful that there is a variety of colours to choose from, but surprised different colours were different prices?

This throw is literally saving me 40 a week on electricity! I don’t have gas in the property and generally only heat the living room. I’ve washed this once as the dog keeps pinching it when I’m out of the room and it came up like new. I would recommend

It took four – FOUR! – attempts to find a heated throw that was reasonably heavy, had a decent amount of heating elements and has an easy to use control. And this is the one!

I have tried several heated throws but this is the best of them all. The temperature control is really good, going up in increments from 1-9. You can also put it on high when you first switch it on, to warm it up quickly, and put it on low to keep it ticking over. You can program the timer to switch off after anything from 1 to 9 hours, although I don’t use this function. I have 2 of these throws and use one at my desk when working and use the other on the sofa. They have saved me a lot of money over the past couple of winters, as they keep me warm enough, without switching the heating on. They are large enough to share with another person on the sofa too.

Got this as a birthday present, because the sender knew that I was going to be convalescing for two months during the winter. They thought that it would save me having to turn up the thermostat or have the heating on all day. It has been fantastic, it has kept me nice and warm because I am unable to get about at the moment. I find that the timer and the heat regulator are extremely helpful, I can switch it on at whatever temperature for just an hour or two, depending on how I feel. The bright yellow colour is very cheery and makes one feel good, especially looking out of the window at these very grey days. I have even used it on top of the bedding on a couple of very cold nights.

I have tried 4 other blankets like this in the last 3 months and this is the first one that works properly. One brand from Argos costing 70 has the control handset heating up so you can almost not touch it!! Both returned as unsafe. Then two from Asda which both had large dead areas where there was no heat.
This one is so much better as no dead spots, decent timer and multiple heat settings. Also much cheaper which is also a plus.
I use this in the evening to sit and watch tv and its great. Helps keep the heating turned down and should pay for itself pretty quickly.

Very warm, very soft and cosy and so far very happy. Not tried to wash it yet so unsure about that. Colour is very nice ochre yellow. Almost golden. Smaller than expected though

Bought this for the wife. As she doesn’t sleep well she comes downstairs at all times during the night. Rather than put the centre heating before it is due to come on she uses the throw and says she fell in love with it.

I love this blanket. It’s soft to touch, heats up quickly and I love that it’s all one colour as most have a cream or white side which always discolour when washed.
Easy to disconnect for washing.
Lots of settings and a timer so you can have it set for as long as you need it on.
I usually set on highest until it heats up and then turn it down to 2.
Great last winter, especially as I was trying to keep the heating lower to save on electricity bill.

Great for snuggling up watching movies. No need for other heating.

Value for money, love the fact that I have control with the heat and time settings.

I am very pleased with my electric blanket. Soft and warm. Very happy with it.

It works, doesn’t feel too hot, but the folds heat up a fair bit. The heat is very controllable, its a gentle heat.
I thought my cat would like it, wasn’t wrong, my bed isn’t his preferred sleeping spot during the day, but with this on a chilly day I can’t budge him from it.
Hope it lasts a good few years, hope its back in stick soon as I will buy another for my mother.

I ordered one of these a year ago for the winter and it worked really well. The fabric is really good quality and have an a plush toy like touch. The controller is simple; easy to use and understand. And as a final thought, it has a much lower energy consumption, than a heater. And of course, as a smaller system, you will feel the warmth in almost a minute after turning it on.

I was very pleased with this heated blanket and thus, I ordered another one for this winter, so I can have one to heat my bed and one for any other use.

For those who want some technical details: According to my measurements, the blanket requires 150-200w/hour to run, while your average electric heater is running at 1 or 2 kW/hour, depending on their performance.

Retains fluffiness after several washes. Snug even without being switched on, but when it is switched on it is delightfully toasty! Great for working from home and the cat loves it too.

After reading some poor reviews I hesitated before buying this product. So far however I have been delighted with it. It is very light and drapes well round my body and is amply big enough. It heats up quickly and is beautifully soft and cosy. I have arthritic knees and after a doze with this wrapped round me I feel much better.
My only criticism is that I got a couple of static electric shocks as I spread the cold blanket round me but, once heated, this stopped happening and I am more careful now when handling it.
I was dreading winter but am not so worried now as I can imagine evenings spent wrapped cosily in my throw.

I bought this and have used it regularly through the winter.

Price wise, it could probably be a little cheaper but what do I know. I have no idea how much it costs to produce. I wouldn’t have paid anymore than I did.

It’s soft and comfortable. The only issue is the connection from the wire to the blanket. Its so irritating but its a common feature of these products. I am sure they could come up with smaller, less bulky and irritating connection without compromising strength.

It warms up quickly and on high is a really nice heat. I’ve never felt concerned it’s getting too hot.

The controller is fine nothing special but simple. Only downside is that the time it stays on for is relatively short even at the longest time setting.

3/5 would recommend for a European winters

Good size and so soft. So much better then putting the heating on throughout the house when you only need to take the chill off yourself. Would recommend.

It is a lightweight blanket very soft to the touch. It warms up quickly and so is effective and with the timer will keep the cold off for as long as you set it.
I would have preferred a thicker, heavier blanket but it does fit its description.

Brilliant love it just what i wanted, i like to sit around the house in my shorts and t-shirt don’t like wearing to many clothes indoors, but in the cold weather unless i have the heating turned up higher i feel cold. Not anymore this is brilliant i bought 2 one for the sofa and 1 for my computer chair which is in a colder part of the house. I put it on about number 3 first then have to turn it down to L or 1 in about 20mins and that’s perfect for me. I’m not worried about leaving the heating on so haven’t bought it to save money just to keep me warm because i don’t like wearing to many clothes indoors. It warms up very quick and from what i’ve read it only uses pennies an hour to run so win win really the cats love it as well, if i get up to make a cup of tea one of my cats will jump right in my grave. Washing, I haven’t needed to wash it yet but i guess it will be hand wash only.
If you register it with the manufacturer you get 2 year warranty. This is a worthy buy if you’re like me or if you live alone and don’t want to blast the heating out all day it will keep you warm as toast, or if you put it on level 9 you might end up looking like toast 🙂
