Can’t comment on how good the product works as it will take a few months to see any results. The lime came in a heavy duty bag and well packaged for delivery, I have done a small area and it spreads easy but hand.

The lime comes in sealed bags in a 10kg tub so doesn’t absorb moisture from the atmosphere, which can be a problem with storage of boxes and bags. It is granular so is much cleaner, quicker and easier to apply than powder, you can rake it in like a top dressing of fertiliser.
Lime has many uses, on clay soils is clumps the fine particles together making the soil more friable and less heavy, steadily improving fertility and drainage over time. It is also useful for many crops, particularly brassicas, where it helps prevent club root, and beans and peas where it helps setting.
Some plants, such as rhododendrons and blueberries need an acid soil, some prefer alkaline but most are happiest at a pH of 7 or just below, so using a granular lime dressing makes it easy to target certain plants which will benefit while leaving ericaceous varieties untouched. Elixir, incidentally, also supply tubs of ericaceous fertiliser.
Lime is not always easy to obtain in garden centres and can be expensive, this is a simple option, delivered to your door at a good price and easy to apply.

Excellent product that really brought my grass back from the dead. Located near Looe Cornwall, this has done the soil a world of good. I will definitely be buying more, and i have recommended it to others. Need to mention it also washing in really well.

I used this product for the first time early last year, as my brassica’s had previously suffered from clubroot. Whilst the problem hasn’t completely gone away, it was a lot better than the previous year, with a definite improvement in the quality of the crop.

Will treat the plot again this year to help improve and manage the problem

Ordered this in a plastic tub so it doesn’t get damp in the shed. Arrived on time, very strong tub and the lime is easy to spread and use. Will definitely use these again as getting this product delivered for virtually the same price as driving to a garden centre and struggling to get it into the car is a big plus point.
