The cameras are extremely easy to set up the app was also easy to download and paired with the cameras straight away. Highly recommend. satisfied

We were able to set the system up with the help of the quick start guide with no problems. Cameras and hub seem well made and sturdy. The app is straightforward to use on our mobiles. Teething problems with notifications being very patchy but they have now settled down and are working well but we find it helps to keep deleting notifications as they come in. Images are very good in the day time and reasonable at night with our security lights. The differentiation between humans / animals seems to work most of the time but we were woken by 4 notifications at 5am which scared us to death but turned out to be a cat examining the camera. We have a long drive but the postie does not activate the camera until they are walking back up the drive so this is rather slow. During the first night of heavy rain that we had, the pictures were poor and the lens misted up. We have since fitted covers having noticed a bit too late that this was recommended in the installation instructions when the cameras are in exposed locations. Overall, happy with the purchase and would say that for non techies like us they are a good choice.

Great product as base station also acts as alarm/siren, great app features very user friendly, my only annoyance is the geo fencing is rubbish indicates will automatically recognise when you leave the property set radius and put in away/home mode this does not work unless you physically open the app each time you enter and exit the parameter drafting the point of automatic geo fencing and this issue has been ongoing for few years not and they still have not resolved but still advertise this issue as a feature.

    Very good product.
I had a friend install ours, but it seemed very straight forward. Great product and easy to use app.
You can talk through the cameras and set off an alarm all from the app.
    Highly recommend

Great system, easy to set up, loads of customisation if you need it and no hidden subscription costs. Buy the kit, set it up and you’re good to go without an annoying monthly subscription. There are options for cloud storage with agreeable prices (30 bucks a year) but it’s not necessary to run the system. Glad to have picked this one

Very good cameras. Easy to install, easy to configure, and after a month of usage the batteries are still showing fully charged. But you do have to charge the cameras before turning them on for the first time, otherwise they don’t connect to the hub. I decided to buy a plastic cover since they are quite exposed to sunlight and rain where I placed them, but they are supposed to be weather proof. I’m quite happy with these fully wireless cameras. I also bought the doorbell and everything integrates very well with the wireless hub.

It took a bit of setting up as we are not super tech savvy – in fact the first day of trying we gave up. Second day it all seemed to make sense and within a few hours we had the system running and the cameras installed. Lots of features I like – switching it off when we’re in the garden. Running it manually if I want to. Deleting videos which are not wanted. Reducing the zones. I’m still learning but it’s good so far and excellent value for money.

Much easier to install than I thought. Good quality picture, sound quality good and prompt alerts to my phone. Very discreet cameras.

Night vision is very good motion detection can be a bit slow at times and the alerts. Picture quality is very good and important if you use playback a lot. I’ve been using this system for just over a year no problems and easy to setup. Customer service is friendly, helpful and professional with any problems your having. Battery life on cameras are six months to a year but depending on how much its triggered. Overall a good bit of kit but still do your research first.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI was at first sceptical as I read through many systems, both in reviews on Amazon and elsewhere. Very difficult to make a decision and none are perfect. I must say though that when I decided to go for this system that it suited exactly what I wanted: 1) battery operated so it is flexible around the house exterior (one on the garage and one on our garden house), 2) simple to install with good reception even at the end of the garden, 3) app without monthly payment and high personalisation.
The installation was relatively easy and intuitive, charging the battery of both cameras (I opted for the version with the higher battery capacity) and then connecting to the hub (critical decision is where to place the hub so it can reach both cameras and the house internal WiFi. Was surprisingly not as difficult as I thought as outside garage gets the Wifi from the house whilst also reaching into the garden about 20m distance going through at least two walls of the house. Then connected both cameras and installed them one outside on the garage and the other attached to the garden house facing the house covering the whole garden. It took a few days for the system to become stable with the Wifi connection but now it works like a treat including life feed on demand. I have setup the motion detection to human meaning it only sends alarm when movement involving human beings is detected and even enlarges the face it detects (if visible). So far it has worked like a treat, every delivery and outside movement of myself has been detected correctly. No false alarms by animals or just cars driving past. In summer I will need to change the settings to night time only as we will be ourselves more in the garden and to stop constant alarms on the phone but that seems to be possible (schedule / timings for active). Otherwise, the app is comfortable to use with the messages on my phone showing a picture of who was detected and more details (like 20s video) if required on the app. You can even download the clip and send by eMail. Overall, I am impressed. I haven’t given a higher score for the video quality as it can always be better but I deliberately did not go for the 4k version as I want to make the clips smaller for easier bandwidth also for live feed. Typically, you do not need to be able to see license plates or faces though I do think I can even with this system. The night vision is astonishingly good and again did not give 5 marks as it can always be better but definitely impressed by the picture nonetheless in utter darkness. On the plus side is also the free use of the system without a monthly cost as others have which was very important for me. The battery and storage capacity are surely sufficient with the battery still on 5 out of 5 bars after a good month of normal use, it should at least last for myself 6 months if not longer. So far I can’t state any truly negative points so far. Last point, it survived the storm without a glitch (and no unwanted change of camera angle). Hope this helps.

Easy set-up; Long life battery means no need for hard wiring making set-up even easier; big plus for local storage of data means no messing around with cloud services/fees; good customer support with response within 24 hrs; would have been good to have slightly sharper night-time vision; a cover/visor for the cam would have been good to stop rain getting on the lens but I can improvise; generally v happy with it and will definitely consider additional extension cams if necessary

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI purchased the eufy 2 as this was supposed to be the best model that eufy sold, and with “Upto” 1 year battery operation, depending on weather, conditions and frequency of detection.

I have owned this system for around 2 years. Overall I am happy with the system, but unless the sensitivity is set low, there is around a 4 to 5 delay of notifications coming through to your mobile phone, and with deliveries, this has been an issue by not being notified until after they have left the front of my property . The Home Hub is in a central position, connected directly to my router via the cable, and with a very good speed on my broad band connection.

The camera quality during the day is good, but at night the quality is very grainy.

I have a camera positioned at the front of my house positioned so that it covers the path upto my front door of around 5 meters. The second camera is positioned at the rear of my house covering the garden and the rear entrance to my house.

I had to charge the camera to the front of the house around 10 months of purchasing the system, and the second camera at the rear of my house around 11 to 12 months.

The reason that I am reviewing the system after 2 years approx, is that I have recently had to charge the camera’s for the second time, the front camera first, followed by the rear camera due to different detection rates and conditions etc., and about 2 months between charging both camera’s. Both camera’s had around 25 to 30% approx before batteries were flat. But on both camera’s, I had them on charge for nearly 7 days each, and gave up at around 85 to 90% charged.

I telephoned eufy customer services, explained this issue with how long the camera’s are taking to charge. The lady was very helpful, and stated that it should take no more than 8 hours to fully charge the batteries. The lady raised a ticket, and to get the tech support to email me. Over a couple of emails, they needed to know when I purchased the camera’s and other questions. I clearly pointed out that the issue was with charging the camera’s. The Tech support stated that as the system is older than one year old, it’s not in warranty any more, and could not help, they did not even offer new batteries.

I stated that due to the response that I would be reviewing the product, and they have not responded. So after around two years, the initial purchase and the money you pay for the system, it appears that due to the batteries, there will be a limited life to the camera’s – 2 years and counting. I am not sure if the camera’s are a serviceable part, and whether you can purchase new batteries and fit them yourself

Due to an oversight on my part I ended up with 3 of these cameras. I also own the Eufy doorbell.

First off, in my average sized 3 bedroom house, one Homebase isn’t enough, remember these thing connect to the Homebase directly, not the Wi-Fi. If you have a doorbell camera out front, expect to buy a 2nd Homebase to cover the camera in the backyard.

Picture quality is pretty good and as long as there are no reflecting surfaces (tougher to arrange than you’d think due to walls) the night vision is good, if in black and white. I also really like the fact that there is no on going subscription fee and no third party has access to my videos. With most of the products on the market you are basically renting them and you don’t have exclusive rights to any of the videos it takes.

On the downside, the mounting systems are not very good. For the camera that I wanted to cover the side of the house, which had to be mounted to the side wall, hardly an unusual situation, I had to buy a third party mounting bracket, the one supplied wont allow the camera to be positioned at an angle of much more than 45 degrees. You want it to be mounted at 90 degrees, to look down the side of the house? Tough, figure that out yourself!

I’ve also yet to get the doorbell or cameras to actually sound a notification on my Samsung phone or Apple iPad. If there’s a setting I need to change I’ve yet to find it.

For general monitoring it’s pretty good, but mounting and notifications need more work.

Brilliant security system,so easy to set up and very high quality pictures , although night vision is black and white only the quality is amazing. I set both cameras and base station up in less than an hour and that included drilling the walls for the mounting brackets. Highly recommended

If your looking for an all round security camera with no wires, no subscription and decent performance then I can recommend buying this product. Without doubt the best product I’ve bought on Amazon! The peace of mind this brings is worth the money alone.

Ive had this for 6 months now and I recharged them both since they got down to 30%, should now last through most of the winter. Setup is easy and taking down to charge and put up again is a 15 min job, they charge in 8hrs. Well worth the effort once or twice a year. The product and finish is quality. You can also add on cameras too which is great to try it out first and then build on.

Peace of mind when your at home, out and about or on holiday! The app is perfect too, what a package! If only everything I bought was this good 🙂

Easy enough to link the cameras to the HomeBase2 and once the HomeBase2 was configured with an Ethernet cable in it now works fine on WiFi alone so a permanent cable connection to the router is not needed.
Camera brackets were easy to fit (I used the external screw in ones not the indoor magnetic ones) but found the brackets do not let me point the cameras down as much as I would like. This means that the view of the ground close to the house is missing (I am wondering about making a couple of wedges to fit under the brackets to solve this but have not tried it yet).
One camera is quite a way from the router and HomeBase2 on a thick brick wall. I had a little difficulty getting it to connect initially. Once done though it has been fine.
The picture quality on the cameras is really good even at night. The detection works well although there is often a delay in getting an alert (as we get with the door bell) but this is not really an issue as we are more interested in having a recording of what has happened than an alert every time someone is detected.
During the day there are few if any alerts from anything other than people. At night we get alerts/recordings of animals as well but that is fine (we silence our phones at night).
Being able to edit the active detection area (easy to do) means we are not getting false alerts every time someone passes the house on the street.

We bought three of these and they’re brilliant for the price! What impressed me is there’s also audio! So you can watch, hear and record. I have the motion detector on very sensitive, if smoke comes into the garden I’m notified and loud voices or children playing, I’m notified. Also, if someone tries to steal them, a loud siren goes off! If you don’t want the cost of wired security, these really are the only ones to buy.

Installed the camera system 7 months ago. Easy to set up and sync cameras. When delivered the cameras were 70% charged so decided not to fully charge. During the first 2 weeks used cameras a lot to find best location and still got 6 months use before having to charge first time. App is easy to use assuming you have a good signal on mobile. Regarding after sales support. One camera developed a fault a few days ago and failed to sync with hub. There is a UK phone number on the website. Answered straight away and discussed symptons of fault with Agustin, a support engineer, who was very helpful. Fault confirmed and said would supply replacement camera at no charge. New camera arrived following day. Excellent service.

Bought these cameras to secure my car on the driveway which cannot be seen from the house and the rear of the house. Wanted something that didn’t require ongoing monthly costs while still keeping the images secure. Unlike some cameras that have an onboard memory card these transmit to the base station which is secure in the house. Very easy to install and configure. No problems with the wifi signal. Takes a little configuration to reduce the number of false alarms whilst not missing any real movements. The ability to set up privacy zones to ignore movements from neighbours is good. Also like the ability to schedule different security settings so the alarms can react differently during the day or at night or when you are away from the house. Image quality looks good, even in night vision mode. So far battery life looks good but will have to see how it goes in a few months time.

I’m really impressed with this system, dead easy to set up. The picture quality is superb, equally so with night vision. Having never had cctv before I am somewhat biased, but very pleased with this investment and genuinely don’t think I could’ve chosen better.

The battery life of the cameras is yet to be determined.

The only downside is that I wasn’t getting notifications initially, but that now seems to have resolved itself and these are now coming through as motion is detected. Possibly more phone related than the system.

Amazing quality for the price and basically fuss free cctv units. Easy to install took less than 30 mins the app is easy to navigate. I have had them up 2 weeks and have had the sensitivity high and video length adjusted to 45s once triggered rather than 20s as they come and both have used 5% battery. Great night vision too. The 2 way speakers is good and the anti-theft alarm is loud enough to deter any wannabe theifs. Would recommend

    Great Cameras

    Bought 5 months ago.
Needed a full charge twice so I get about 10 weeks from a charge.
I have a busy house with teens and I picked a random day last week and the camera activated 40+ times. Some days probably more or less.
I have it set to maximize battery life so it does 20secs at a time.

I am looking at getting a solar panel because charging it to 100% took two days on a cheapo charger I had.

It is micro usb so don’t expect fancy PD or even QC , just slow charge.

This is not a professional product and the cost reflects that. It is an excellent product for home security where you want notice of any motion around the property. Depending where you place the cameras and set them up the amount of motion will vary. The way my cameras are positioned I will get a face picture if required. I am happy with this product.

Ordered the base station and twin camera pack, delivery was super fast.
Set up is extremely easy the first camera paired as per instructions. Sadly the second camera would not pair with the base station… a quick email to the customer service and they responded very quickly with easy instructions as to returning the camera.
I paid the return postage which the seller then reimbursed me for and although they said the replacement camera could take around 7days to arrive, it arrived within 4days.
This replacement camera paired perfectly and the system works extremely well, the quality of both day and night images are great and it definitely does the job I bought if for. It adds a great level of security and a good sense of relief knowing that I can see who is coming and going from my business property when I am away.

I don’t often leave reviews, but I was compelled to leave a review as Kiki (in customer service) was fantastic with communication and dealing with my problem… I was blown away when out of the blue (a couple of weeks after the replacement install) Kiki emailed me just to ask if everything was ok, the cameras were performing well and to ask if I needed any other help… I genuinely have not had a company reach out, off their own back, and enquire (post sale) if things were all good!!! Wow, well done Eufy and thank you Kiki, it’s like old school customer service that is almost unheard of these days.
If all companies held the same level of Customer service life would be good.

As a camera system it operates perfectly and does what I need. The images are great, the sound is great, the ability to two way talk, or sound an alarm is a great deterrent and the fact it is subscription free is the deal sealer.

If you need extremely detailed higher def images the look at the eufy cameras with higher definition.

Very happy customer – thank you

I now have five Eufy cameras feeling safe buying into their range due to great performance and excellent customer service (replacing a faulty camera without any quibble). The picture quality is great and the motion detection is very flexible. The App is simple, but offers as much customisation as you need. Battery life is good, but depending upon the amount of activity it is detecting, may dip below claimed, but this is to be expected.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOverall a great home security system that doesn’t need a cloud based server.
So I have 3 Eufy Cam2’s and 2 Eufy Cam E’s set up around the garden and outside the house. Indoors I use the Eufy 360 degree camera with a Eufy wireless doorbell. I opted for these based largely on reviews but also cost! I bought all on sale saving circa 1/3 or more each time. For the price they are brilliant.
    Pros:
Easy installation using the app with step by step videos that actually make sense and are pretty cool proof. You are literally talking a couple of minutes tops to pair the devices.

Easy installation fittings, I used a power driver to put the screws straight into wooden boards but it came with plugs and screws if you want to put it onto brick etc. The mounts themselves come in three parts, the fitting that screws to the wall, a ball joint that goes into the fitting and the outer casing that screws into the wall fitting and camera. This makes it a doddle to mount and unscrew.

No need to drill holes for cables as it’s cable free!

Only the base needs to be plugged in and wired to your WiFi router.

As the cameras are cable free you can mount them almost anywhere, the only proviso being you get a WiFi signal! The app is great for this. You take your phone to where you want to mount the camera and check the open app which will tell you the strength of connection to the base unit.
You can watch live feeds from the cameras on your phone via the app and speak/hear through them.
Water proof – mine have survived the usual British winter deluge without any issues.
Night vision – please see my other review for a night video. It is clear enough to see a good 10-20 meters in the pitch black.
Picture quality day – see the video attached the image resolution is great and you can zoom in using the app.

    Things to be aware of:
You can adjust the camera sensitivity and active zone(s) via the app. You can also select if you want all motion to trigger the camera or only humans.
On high sensitivity the camera will be tripped by things like boiler exhaust gases, branch movements etc but this is easily solved by a bit of tweaking.
Likewise if you, like me, wish to catch local wildlife going through your garden on film then be aware your battery life will be impacted. Eufy claim up to a year on one charge but this will be based on low sensitivity, only being tripped by humans, short video clips. On some of my cameras I max out sensitivity, and have maximum video length to catch the deers going through my garden and this means I average about 2 to 3 months on a charge. Still not bad.
Recorded clips – you can record from your cameras live feed directly to your phone. You can also download recorded clips, although be aware that if the battery dies on the camera you can’t access the clips from the camera section on the app, you have to use the calender. Not a major issue but I didn’t realise the first time it happened to me.

So why only a 4 star review?
One of the 3 cameras came with a duff battery. Whilst it would say it was charged to 100% it would last a mere 2-3 weeks, well short of the other two. This has lasted for about 4 months until the last time I charged it lo and behold it has lasted as long as the others, over a month in and only one bar down with a high level of sensitivity etc.
The design of the cameras also mean that on rainy nights the camera lense can be obscured by water droplets. This can be resolved by buying 3rd party covers or mounting them under cover.

fantastic piece of technology, wortks really well and dont regret buying.

a couple of quirks i would hope Eufy could fix:

there is a delay picking up movement, maybe 2 seconds while the camera ‘boots up’ and then it does appear pixelated for a second. the trade off for this is having it wireless and battery operated. (the internal wired eufy cams do not do this)

secondly, the motion zones can only be rectangle/square zones…the indoor cameras you can set free form zones which are much better.

Eufy please fix this! surely its a software update!?

This is a good camera system with a decent app to support it. The quality of the items seems to be of a high standard. Motion detection can be a little hit and miss even when you set a detection area but overall I am satisfied with the set up.

The hardest part of the installation was drilling the holes! get past that and you will find these cameras are a doddle to set up. Initially I ensured both cameras were 100% charged and paired before setting up in their respective locations. Once done, I hardly changed any setting as the scope and detectivity was perfect for me. Having named them, I added them to Alexa and on my Show in my lounge could bring up either camera to check activity etc. I was considering a wired setup but that would have meant me engaging the services of am electrician but when I saw this package with (up to) a years charge in the batteries I went for the purchase. Wholly recommended for those that either cannot have a wired CCTV setup or prefer an easy installation (like me!). Wholly recommended.

This system was very easy to install and get going. Could do with some more written guidance on the settings but the help contact section resulted in a super quick response from the company which sorted out an initial issue I had and they’ve been perfect ever since. The picture quality is excellent even at night and the speed of detection and alerts is similarly impressive. The app is pretty intuitive and I like the fact that the battery life is a year between charges. Lots of great features but the best selling point from my point of view is no monthly running costs. That gave the eufy cameras the advantage over a lot of the other systems from my point of view.

I purchased a base with two cameras, plus two extra cameras and a door bell in the summer of 2020. Set up is very easy. The some 90degree bracket would be a good addition to the kit, I made some.

Battery life is good. Probably a bit under a year I suspect judging by results so far.

One camera battery did fail but eufy support was excellent and a replacement was sent without fuss, including refund of my costs for shipping etc.

Seems to work with Alexa well if you have good Wi-fi coverage. Note cameras link to base unit not your Wi-fi so take care when positioning base relative to cameras.

Really great product. Super easy to install and the app is great. Only negative is the motion capture, zones and human only functions. My camera ignore that all and just tell me when anything happens. Only sensitivity seems to make a difference.

Purchased the eufyCam 2 back in the summer, they had been giving exceptional service with notifications when motion was detected and the picture quality was excellent.
Recently one of the cameras started to give a poor quality of picture on the night vision. I spoke with Cassandra a Eufy Customer Support Engineer and she identified a need to replace the camera as it was not meeting standards expected. This arrived promptly and has returned my system to the level experienced previously. First class customer service.

Been looking for an easy to install, excellent quality wireless free home security system for some time – this fits the bill. The Home hub is simple to install, use an ethernet cable can’t go wrong, the pairing of the cameras once charged are again as straightforward as it gets. Fixing the camera is again straight-forward, would say easier to work out yourself rather than following the instructions though. Did have an issue with one of the cameras kept dropping off the internet but contacted Eufy via e-mail and within 3 days had a replacement camera installed working perfectly.
The picture quality is great especially daytime, the only small downside is occasionally the quality on the night vision is not 100% when the weather is adverse.
Overall would recommend any problems there is a great customer service team to help.

So had this for three months now and very happy. Had a problem with one of the cameras, however Eufy customer service is great and they sent a new camera, so excellent after sales service. The system is worry free and is better that a wired unit, with top quality images that are easy to download. In a busy position you will need to charge about every three months. They look good and don’t ruin the look of your house one bit. Easy to set up and sends alerts to your phone if motion detection activated. You can also watch live on your phone. Amazing bit of kit a market leader and to my mind taking everything into account the best you can get.

I don’t normally write reviews but this product is so good I felt I had to. You can always tell the quality of a product like this right from the set up. In this case set up is an absolute cinch. Took all of about 5 minutes. Unboxing took longer! Great menus for the cameras allowing adjustment of motion sensitivity, setting of one or more perimeters in the field of view, or even whether the led is on or off. The app is great too and very easy to navigate. The cameras look great, unobtrusive but modern. Picture is very good. You get more than you pay for. I looked at the Arlo 4K but it felt too expensive. I am sure the picture quality would be better but regardless this is very good, including at night. It has person vs animal recognition and face recognition too. My only tiny gripe is that the external mounts leave the camera a bit too flush to the wall so that you can’t quite point the camera parallel to the wall, so to cover a set of patio doors you need to put the camera above the doors pointing downwards rather than to one side of the doors pointing across. Above and pointing downwards you still don’t quite get all the door in because the mount won’t let the camera point down enough, as it were. But I am sure there is a way of fettling that. It doesn’t detract from this amazing product. In fact I am thinking already of buying another camera!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersLike a few customers have Y-Cam products but have become frustrated by the lack of development and delay in connecting. Did some research and ended up with this eufy 2 camera system. I still have the 6 camera Y-Cam set up so feel back to back comparisons are fair. First up the set up is easy (and I struggle with the Sky remote). Positioning the cameras and installing them is simple if you are ok with a drill. I had both up in 20 mins once charged. One camera is no more than 6 feet from the base station, via an external wall (the picture shows this one) the other is 20 feet through an internal and external wall. I can’t see any difference in picture quality. The batteries are showing signs they will last as are both still full after 3 weeks – even with more use at the start to position/test/try. The picture quality does drop a star as a person moving quickly across the camera tends to be a little blurred. If a burglar was to pause, look around and attempt a break in there is no doubt a good image would be captured. The face recognition is strong. Very few false alarms even as the rain fell like a waterfall… I’ve installed the back door camera slightly above eye level. This achieves a lot of strong images even in middle of night. Yes it would be easy to reach/steal/break but at that point you’d have a clear image of the intruder and I feel it is worth the gamble. Overall the leap in quality over Y-Cam is gigantic… I will purchase additional units.

    Update: September 2021
I am charging the back of the house camera for the first time since purchase. 11 months.
I have had to charge the front of house 2 times in same period.
Conclusion: In high traffic areas the battery will not last a year. In low traffic areas it pretty much does.
I have just bought another unit and will be throwing out the old Y-Cam now ERA set up.

A robust home security camera system.

Amazing security device. I had them now for over 8 month now and can not fault it. Battery is still on over 60% and it is on optimal surveillance mode. Motion detection is spot on can pick up any motion for your needs not just human body detection. Quality in the night mode ir brilliant as it is in the day time.
Because there are now wires, so it is hasle free to put them wherever you need and setting it all up and running is very simple anyone could do it, no need for specialists to install everything.
The best purchase ever, just couple days ago bought another Eufy product in addition to these cameras it’s Doorbell camera! Can’t wait to set it all up.

Easy to set up, easy to use, app works well if a little annoying if you have camera on high traffic area but that may just be a setting in the app I haven’t discovered yet. Signal to the Eufy hub from the camera could do with a upgrade and can’t see the batteries lasting a year but, to be honest that’s the only real holes I can poke in this product. Not sure if it’s worth the extra money over their lower priced system as I haven’t compared them with each other but I got this on a deal/sale day so ended up being only about 20 more than the system below it. Very happy so far with it, would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe camera was really easy to setup and install at the front of our house and the rear.

The rear camera seems to be annoying a tit in our garden, as you can see from the video uploaded. He has also tried pecking the camera a few times.

The video quality is excellent, but it sometimes misses the beginning of the movement, maybe I need to play around with the sensitivity a little more.

I’m not sure the battery will last the claimed 365 days. I shall report back once I need to charge it.

Over all excellent and does what I need it to do.

I love this product, the quality is fantastic, ease of setup really good. Alerting very good and storage is really good.
ONE ASK: I wish the zoom capability was better, if you don’t mount the cameras close to the viewing area, you get a great wide angle view but not very effective to zoom into a person or an item.

I was first impressed by the in-built storage facility of this system which means no monthly subscription to keep your recordings in a ‘cloud’. Secondly by the claim of an amazing long life of the on board rechargeable battery.
Having owned the system for a few weeks with three cameras in situ, I have to say that I have not been disappointed.
The motion activated recordings are pin sharp and in many instances include a close-up of the “intruder’s” face if available – very handy! So far despite very many recordings activated for each camera, the battery(s) are holding their charge very well. The interface on the app is clear and easy to use with immediate access to the calendarised recordings and there is also the option to view live feed on demand – great for peace of mind when you’re not at home.
I have had occasion to seek assistance via email from the Eufy Customer Services team and the help I have received has always been timely and personal and I am now able to liase with the same person each time (saving the need to explain the whole thing to somebody new). Given the many anomalies one can encounter with this type of security set-up, I would recommend Eufy to be a front-runner when it comes to quality and reliability.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery easy to set up and picture quality is excellent. I was hesitant about installing cameras due to having to wire them in and the reviews stating the poor quality of other wireless cameras. I took the plunge due to good reviews of other users for this system, and have to say I am pleased I did. The system guides you through the installation in easy steps, and I was up and running in no time. Now the front and rear of the property (garage) are covered, and I am alerted whenever anyone is there. The garage camera is approximately 60ft from the base unit. All events are recorded on the base unit and can be saved or viewed on my iPhone. Night vision is as good as can be expected.
Fantastic system which I highly recommend.

My Neighbour started the ball rolling with this cctv system, saying how easy they are to install and he was so right, I purchased 4 cameras two inside and two outside more cameras can be added. The cameras outside and also the cameras inside need to placed at a height of 2 to 3 Metres from the ground to maximize motion detection. The App is very easy to navigate and understand and picture quality is excellent even at night comes out in black and white but in colour in daytime. All cameras work very well with my house Wi-Fi I have TalkTalk fibre optic, one camera I couldn’t place where I wanted it due to it not picking up the Wi-Fi signal, I think it was the conservatory blocking the signal? Apart from that little problem all went very well.

    Great cctv system

I bought a pair of eufy security cams to monitor my backyard chickens. The claimed 1 year battery life must only be achievable if they never get triggered; my batteries just about managed a month. I’ve had them for just over 3 months and now one camera image pulses which causes the motion detection to get triggered every other minute.
I’m replacing these with Reolink POE cams.

Update: I have been sent a replacement Dufy security cam free of charge and I have replaced my faulty unit with the new unit. Hopefully, this one will last a little longer than the previous unit.

Quite happy with the purchase, was very easy to install, looks well built and good phone based app. Picture quality excellent. My camera is located about 55 feet from base station but has a good connection nonetheless. Works better if you can hook up the base station to your router.

Only two gripes are the motion sensors which sometimes don’t pick up movement and also the push notifications can be late, at times 10 minutes after the event, so not exactly helpful. However I’ve only had it for a week or so so let’s see if how it beds in.

Also worth bearing in mind that the angle of movement of the camera is probably around 45 degrees once fixed and there are no brackets you can buy currently to increase that range of movement .

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersExcellent security camera and application! After quite allot of research reading about the benefits of allot of the security camera providers as well as watching online reviews, I decided on the EufyCam 2 Wireless Home Security Camera System. I am absolutely impressed with this system 100%.
Setup was super easy as I followed the setup wizard after downloading the app and within minutes I had whole system setup and ready to be mounted. Mounting the 2 included cameras was extremely easy with templates for screw holes as well as the mounting kits included in the box.
Once the cameras were setup and aligned, I then setup the alert zones that via the app was easy.
Camera quality is stellar and easily surpasses more expensive kits on the market! Camera alerts is also very well done and right on the mark. It alerts when it is supposed to and not when it should not.
Again camera quality day and night is just superb. I hope you give this system a try as well.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFirst thing I will say is I brought this when it was on offer so didn’t pay the top whack price . To be fair I probably wouldn’t of brought it unless it was on offer.
Well after 6 months of use I can say .. I really like it. One camera is only on 14% battery life so the battery lasting 365 days is stretching it a bit . Unfortunately, it will have to lose a star for that buy is easily charged .
A couple of times a random camera ( I’ve 4 ) will just drop out for no reason and then re connect a while latter even though the signal is strong.
Also doesn’t also capture every time … just hope this is a software issue
Night vision is pretty good unless it’s heavy rain … at night … no idea why
The app is very good and updates regularly with software.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI’ve only had my Eufy 2 kit for a couple of weeks now but already I’m seriously impressed. I’m the kind of person that gets infuriated with products that haven’t been tested, full of bugs, etc. and I can happily report that this system is very solid. The only exception is the geofencing feature (which in fairness, at the time of writing is labeled as a “beta feature” so bugs should be expected).

Video quality is excellent. Easily enough quality to make out faces and number plates from a reasonable distance. Not quite as sharp as a Nest IQ 4K (outdoor) but that’s a much larger sensor, way bulkier, needs a huge drill bit and much faffing to install, etc. Audio is also very impressive with very little static noise. I’d actually say marginally better quality microphone than the NEST. I should note that I use these indoors for now, although I’m considering getting 2 more for outdoors. There are no problems with using these indoors at all.

Now for battery life. I have tried battery cameras before and they were all hopeless. Logitech Circle 2 was a complete joke. But these are game-changing, even when connected to battery-draining HomeKit. I think 12 months is pushing it but I see the battery drop 1% every 2 to 3 days so I’d say 6 to 9 months is more likely if you check the feed every so often. But I’m very happy with that given how quick and easy they are to charge, specially if you use the magnetic mount. But what I’m most impressed with is how quickly they wake up when you need them. In general, battery-operated cameras essentially power down everything except the motion sensor during general operation to conserve battery and usually they have to start up again when they need to record anything, which – for other cameras – takes ages. But these wake up nearly instantly. It’s really quite impressive and if you didn’t know how they worked, you’d swear they were on all the time.

Features: there’s a good set of features within the app and it’s easy to configure what to happen when motion is detected for different modes (away, home, disarmed, etc.) and you can create your own custom modes which is awesome. I do wonder when we are going to see the keypad launch in The UK though as I feel like this could definitely replace my old security system. They already sell door/window sensors but the keypad would really help. I’d love to see them turn this into a true security system.

Notifications also come in pretty much instantly when motion is detected (more than I can say for NEST cameras).

Eufy support is excellent too. I had to contact them as one of the cameras’ IR LEDs weren’t working. They swapped it out with no fuss and the replacement is working great.

I have to say, Anker/Eufy is one of the very few companies that I’ve never been let down by. Quality is always top and it genuinely seems like they are doing everything they can to make great products.

I was hesitant about buying cameras as a large number of foxes and badgers roam the garden but the human detection seems to work well with no false alerts so far. The cameras were easy to set up and install but the mounting brackets feel a bit flimsy and I think are vulnerable when they can’t be placed out of reach. Overall I am impressed with the picture quality and the night vision works well. It’s a pity the AI doesn’t include facial recognition and allow you to suppress alerts for recognised people.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEasy to set up, basically plug in, pair devices and your off.
365 day battery charge ( new so not sure the exact figure).
Great build quality, I used the screw bracket to fit to wall as the magnet type are great but just not strong enough to hold the camera in the position I needed.
Great picture and plenty of features to aid set up.
Motion detection notification take a minute or so to alert you but not an issue.
Setting up detection area could be improved by more movement at angles rather than squares / rectangles.
    Night vision is excellent.
Would dedicatedly buy again and the pros definitely outweigh the cons.

    Buy them.

I’ve had the EufyCam 2 for a few months now and very happy with them. Hardware operates as described and offers clear pictures day & night. The software is very good too, using IOS I have been pleased with the updates and feature development taking place in the app, but what has impressed me the most though was the customer support. After I made my purchase, the EufyCam 2 had a deal applied with a significant price drop. I politely emailed the company direct to see if they would honour the reduction retrospectively and the did, straight away, no fuss. Kudos. I was so happy I put the saved money towards a third cam which is great. Nice to see a company working hard to develop great products. Just waiting for the doorbell to hit the UK, then I’ll add that too.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI already use a EufyCam 2C set-up (Homebase 2 plus two EufyCam 2C cameras) and wanted to expand my camera coverage by adding a EufyCam 3 (Homebase 2 plus three EufyCam 2 cameras).

The two EufyCam 2C cameras cover my front porch and home office interior. The new EufyCam cameras cover the rear of the property and side access.

Adding the second Eufy Homebase 2 was easy (matter of connecting it to Ethernet and power and following the audio instructions from the new Homebase and the visual cues within the excellent EufyCam App.

Adding the two new Eufycam 2 cameras to the second Homebase was easy also.

With the purchase of the third EufyCam 2 camera noted in this order, I now have a total of three EufyCam 2 cameras in a very much linked camera system.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAfter a month of use, I can say that this is a superb product. My original concerns over the wireless connection being able to cope with a very long house with thick walls were written off straight away. The connection beats that of the very expensive wifi router that I have.
I was also concerned about the storage not holding a lot of data – but I have been running 8 cameras for about 1 month now (on 2 homebase 2s) and the most I have used is 8 out of the 16 GB available.
The Support I have received is outstanding too – flexible and timely communication gives a warm feeling that if anything did go wrong, they would be there to resolve.
I was that impressed that I ended up ordering one of their new Battery Doorbells from USA – I reckoned the final price (219 including import duty) wouldn’t be that far from the UK price anyway. And that is another superb piece of kit too 🙂

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersThe cameras works almost great! There is a short delay on capturing movements but in general I am satisfied. Installation is super easy. The cameras are waterproof, but it could be better if eufy could provide a cover for each camera.
The sticker which is included should be a bit larger to comply with the law. ( I had to buy additional stickers, large enough so people can see it, and covers to keep the cameras dry as i am living in the west coast of Ireland and we all know what this means). The eufy app is easy to navigate, but there is room for improvement. The night vision is not the best. I installed the backyard camera 3 meters from ground and you can bearly see anything. The front camera no need to use night vision as there is plenty of light. The videos are pretty clear( I can read the plate of my car which is parked 5 meters away from my front door, but not the neighbors which is approximately 15 meters away. The anti theft siren is not strong, so I would recommend to install them at least 3 meters high for peace of mind. I kept for last the battery life. As this is a new….toy for me,I am playing with it at least 4-5 times a day( watching live video for a minute each time) plus the videos comes from movement detections. I am using them for about a month now, and both cameras are still on100%!!! I believe (with fair use) you will have to charge them once every 9-10 months. For me,this is awesome! If you are thinking to invest on home cameras,I would say,go for it. Yes they are a bit expensive, but worth the money.
    *****
This is an additional review 3 months after installation I am still very satisfied with these cameras. I have no regrets purchasing them. The screenshot is taken from the app and you can see the number of footages were recorded so far,and of course the battery level. It looks like will last around 10 months, which is really great in my opinion. The rear camera(active during the night only) will definitely last for at least a year). ****

Perhaps the best outdoor cameras in the market!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI have tried many different security camera systems, many were very cheap and not worth the effort, Very hard to set up, they would keep disconnecting or wouldn’t connect to my Virgin Media wi-fi router, so thought I’d try a different path, yes more expensive, but I wasn’t disappointed, set up was a doddle, it didn’t put up any fight whatsoever, download the app, set that up, then once that’s done, you plug the hub into the router and wait for it to setup itself up, then unplug it and put the hub where you want it, and wait for it to connect wirelessly to the router, then press the sync on camera and hub, they connected very easily, as did the second camera, couldn’t have been easier, the most difficult part is deciding where to put the cameras and what name to give them, you even get two different mounts, both are super adjustable, I have one fitted outside and the camera hasn’t moved even with Storm Ciara, camera didn’t move, the only downside for me was the one I have indoors doesn’t detect movements outside the door, The double glazing confuses it, but does detect the door opening, and the outside camera catches any activity before anybody gets there anyway, the system work on all my Apple devices and my Virgin Media router, good simple system no wires to thread through walls, best I have tried so far.

Golden Review Award: 317 From Our UsersReview Summary:

I will keep this review simple and easy to read.

    Pros:-
    – motion detection works well. It does try and capture faces. If the camera detects a human, the alert will say “someone has been spotted”. If it’s motion, the alert will say motion detected. Quite useful to know what to review and ignore.
    – Good wide angle on the camera.
    – Very easy set up – can’t explain how easy this is. Connect hub to modem, pair cameras, move hub to a better location near cameras. Install cameras.
    – Ability to hardwire to router or also use WiFi. This allows you to move the base to a side of the house which is near the camera. Just needs a power supply. I have hid mine in a cupboard. The base communicated to the cameras to record. The WiFi is used for viewing the cameras from your phone.
    – No cloud subscription. The base records the videos.
    – Good build quality, cameras feel solid.
    – Great picture quality when recording
    – Great app, no issues in loading or crashing
    – Alerts are almost instantaneous.
    – Good connection. I have moved the base to the side of the house nearer the cameras.
    – 100% wireless. Time will tell how good the battery life really is.

    Cons:-
    – when motion is captured, the initial 2-3 seconds of the video is pixelated. Almost like it’s trying to load the connection. Not a major flaw but could be if vital detail is missed. When doing a connection test, it shows full connection so it is not a connection issue.
    – The outdoor wall mount is badly designed. The initial drilling is no problem but get tricky when piecing together to put the camera up. Not ideal when you’re on a ladder.
    – I have had a few alerts where the bush is shaking – but I do have the sensitivity set to max so I guess this is expected. It was also very windy.

I think the pros outweigh the cons. For the price you are getting an amazing camera set up. It’s easy to add and remove to as well. I have gave it 4* due to the initial connection of the camera for the first 2-3 seconds of the video. See sample video uploaded for an example. If this issue is corrected then it will get a 5* review. I’m sure it can be fixed by firmware.

For those with connection issues – do not use a Virgin/BT/Sky router. These are cheap made and will give bad connections. Upgrade your router to something better. You will not regret it.

    Thank you

Almost Perfect Wireless Cameras - Just one flaw...

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersSuper impressed with these, getting around 10-20 events daily and still showing full battery after a month or so. Night range is a little weak beyond 10f. Might consider upgrading to the flood light version later when it’s released.

My main worry is that I had a limited options for installing on the garage overlooking the drive so are installed lower than I’d like. Someone 6ft or so would be able to remove. Hopefully the anti theft siren will disrupt such efforts.

WiFi signal for hub was a little weak so I opted for powerline adapters and moved the hub, video now streams immediately when watching live and isn’t laggy like before.

If Eufy had released there doorbell sooner I would have opted for that too but had already bought a Nest Hello. The Eufy cameras support our Nest hub so we can view the feeds from around the house. Setup for this was a little awkward but it’s working well.

The alarm mode is interesting and built into the hub and cameras.

I also liked the fact there are no subscriptions and no firewall /router setup required to use the app remotely. Notifications are pretty immediate after the event too

Golden Review Award: 62 From Our UsersI don’t normally write reviews but I’m so impressed with the Anker Eufy Cam 2 that I made an exception.

I installed these cameras to catch the person who thinks it’s ok to let their dog use my property as a toilet and not clean up afterwards.

Straight out of the box these cameras feel sturdy and well made. Installation was a breeze! There’s instructions and a handy video to guide you through it. The user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate.

Picture quality is good during the day and the enhanced night vision works a treat. The cameras have human detection so won’t bombard you with alerts of cars driving past, which is handy if you have them setup close to a road like I do.

App integration is good, they work with Alexa ( I have mine setup on echo show and fire tv) they also work on google home and are currently beta testing on Apple HomeKit. You can sign up for beta testing by sending customer services an email.

I can’t comment on the one year battery life as only had them a couple of days. All the video clips can be stored locally on the eufy Homebase for free I really liked this feature as after paying a pretty penny for this setup the last thing I wanted was expensive subscriptions like some of the competition.

Golden Review Award: 87 From Our UsersI’ve been researching CCTV for my home and the first thing that you come across is having to make a decision as to whether wired or wireless is your preferred option, either though choice or through necessity due to the lack of available power outlets etc.

The big players – Arlo, Circle, Ring and Nest all have options of wired and wireless, but reading reviews, the batteries in the wireless cameras have some serious downsides. Almost unanimously the reviews mention poor battery performance.

I stumbled on Eufy having, never even heard of them. As they’re part or Anker and having glowing reviews and the grand claim of the batteries lasting for a full year on one charge, I decided to give them a go. Oh my goodness, they’re absolutely amazing! Super easy setup and the video quality is brilliant. Some reviewers mention about poor range when connecting to the base station, but mine connect with two thick brick walls at full strength. I think the reviews mentioning poor connection are probably from the US where houses are made from poured concrete and are huge in comparison to UK standards.

If you’re on the fence on buying these, then take my advice and just buy them! Make sure you get this new version (EufyCam 2) and this will connect with Apple HomeKit, whereas the older kit doesn’t.

One of my best purchases in ages!!
