FUJIWARA Folding Pruning Saw 8 Inch Hand Saws, Quality SK-4

I wanted one of these folding saws for a long time, since I got into wood carving over a year ago. I recently watched a comparison video on YouTube of various different folding saws around 8″ in blade length and this was one of the best overall saws, especially for the money.
When I received it I was slightly suspicious of the build quality as it’s quite light and plastic-y, also the hinge screw is plastic as well and it came loose a few times until I made it really tight and now it’s been solid for quite a while.
The saw itself is super sharp and works great; it’s much faster at cutting through small logs and branches than a regular 20″ general woodworking saw, which is what I was using before. It’s nice to hold and easy to grip, very easy to use and for all of these reasons I think it’s fantastic value and worthwhile for anybody who needs to cut through logs up to around 6″ in diameter. It’s great for green wood especially, as the large sharp teeth rip through it easily. I’ve really enjoyed using it for the last few weeks and at some point I’d like to compare it to a Silky just to see if the difference in price is worth it!
