Decent price and good looking. Heats up my room and no noise at all
I have a storage heater that cost 3 x the price of the Futura heater I wish i came across this heater first I love the heat that comes from it compared to my storage heater which dries out my eyes. I’ve yet to get use to the programming.
Excellent compact item warms up our summerhouse fine, programming guide took a little reading but a great little bit of ki
Nice radiator and well made was also very easy to set up. Very hot for its size and can heat a room 12ft x 12ft easily. Loved the timer that was included
Nice heater, keeps my 20m2 living room nice and warm.
Very good I like it, however out of the 11 panes 1 is slightly damaged at the bottom, when it was delivered.
Used in a freezing previously unusable conservatory over the winter months. We can now use the conservatory as it has warmed the area brilliantly.
The heat from this radiator is far better than I expected ,
We use this in the loft which is rather cold and it wamrs it up in no time.
Its looks good as well
I purchased two of these when my central heating broke down and it was really cold. They have a variable heat control and an on-board timer, so you can set them to come on and go off to suit your circumstances. They were a valuable investment and I now have a fall-back in case the heating lets me down again.
I bought this because my electric wall heaters in my rented property were costing a fortune. I’ve halved my bills now. This heats up really fast then you turn it down until the lights go off once you’ve reached the desired room temp. Mine doesn’t make the ticking noise some reviewers have mentioned. I love it, economical and effective in my kitchen.
Bought this to use in the conservatory during the winter months. Very easy to assemble, thank goodness. Read the instructions for using the timer, easy peasey. I’d bought one 2 years ago but it was only an 6 bar. This one is 11 & really hit the mark. It was delightful at 2am going into the conservatory to be met by heat!!!! I’m sure even the spiders could appreciate it!
The first one stopped working suddenly one day as though there was no power going to it. They sent another, apologising, straight away, no problem. It’s a really good heater. It does the job!
This was an emergency purchase when my central heating failed. It was easy to operate and portent considering its small size. It’s portability was a big advantage. Happy with it. Difficult to rate durability as has had limited use so far.
Based on using it a few times I found it to be a really good product. I like the timer on the unit which is very useful. Having used it in a conservatory sized 9 x 12 square and it it does eventually heat the room using the highest heat control but there is quite a lot of heat escape through the large glass area so to be fair it does a pretty good job. I woul certainly buy it again.
Our attic bedroom is freezing so we went for this little radiator and what for a different it makes.
It’s warming up super quick and gives such a nice warmth into the room.
The only thing I regret is that we haven’t bought it soone
Radiator delivered very quickly. Wanted it to heat up a cold room and conservatory which it does very well. it was very easy to set up the timer. Cannot comment on durability yet as have only used for a couple of weeks.
Very happy with our purchase
Prompt delivery, already using to keep my motor home aired. Working as required, quick heat up. Too soon to say how durable it is. So far so good thank you.
Having bought a similar heater from B&Q which turned out to be complete rubbish (turned itself off all the time before getting up to temperature) I bought one of these from Futura. The Futura one heats up quick and warms the room with no fuss. The inbuilt timer is very useful. The thermostat works as it should. I don’t see how a more expensive one could work any better. I bought a second one to use in another room as a result of being so pleased with the first one.
Sturdy heater that throws out a good heat. Bought to heat room quickly when I’ve been out all day and log burner has gone out. Can also be left safely on a low setting.
We’re having issues with our central heating on our ground floor and needed some warmth in our hallway. Ordered this radiator which came the following day (prompt and in perfect condition) and within minutes of turning it on you could feel the difference. Just contemplating whether to buy another.
We use it in our large orangery which also has a vaulted ceiling. It works very well although we have added a radiator fan on top to improve the heat distribution. My only issue is there should be handles both sides instead of on one.
Item was delivered before the date stated, so that was a good start. One is used at the bottom of our staircase in a 400 yr old cottage. The heat it lets out on 5 is sufficient to keep the stair case and rooms warm enough. The other is used in an annexe for our friends and family to use.It also produces sufficient heat to warm the place through. This has a large sitting/dining area and the heat can travel up the spiral stair case to a double bedroom. The Annexe has no other independant heating. Good product very good price, would recommend the company and product.
Well I had my 3years old oils heater just stop working in cold period so I had to find new heater asp get cross with this heater on Amazon read review and was good review from few customer .
I went for it with no time waste got it fast next day now it been about for day since and I can tell that it worth to have one this at home warm quickley nice to setup .
So impressed with the reviews we ordered 2!!! Both arrived before the estimated delivery date both work perfectly. Definitely recommend this product & the supplie
Our upstairs boiler packed in a week ago , and after reading reviews of various heating appliances, decided on this one . The price seemed reasonable as were the reviews. It is early days yet but it seems to fit the bill.
Well made product. Works great. Thermostat is working well as I need constant temperature due to a Lung Disease. Using 4 of these until our heating is sorted.
As there isn’t any heating my kitchen (thanks previous owners), I use this to stop it freezing. Great timer on it and it really does warm up (certainly better than my previous one).
I also have a Futura flat radiator in the same room and I have to say that I am a great fan of the make.
Live in an old victorian house with old sash windows, single glazed. Central heating is a myth in this house.
Past few weeks my room has been 11c at night and mornings but now with this i keep the room around 18c adjusting the thermometer so it doesn’t get too hot!
It’s right next to my bed so i can hear the timer ticking which i thought would bother me in bed but i’ve been sleeping fine.
This thing has a timer so it’s already on for 30mins before my usual wake up time making it easier to get out of bed.
Love this sturdy radiator, which has flexible features including a timer if required and is on wheels for ease of use. Compares well price-wise to others in this field.
I bought this radiator as the gas fire in the living room was inefficient to run and gave out very little heat, this new heater is great and as it has wheels it can be used in other areas of the house. Thank you so much S Coyle
The Futura Oil Filled Radiator 11 Fin 2.5KW,24 Hour Timer & Thermostat, 2500W, Portable Electric Heater, Adjustable Temperature Control, 3 Power Settings.
This Radiator Heater is a lovely bit of kit to have around in case of emergencies only. The one i purchased was for the living room (15ft Long by 13ft across) as just before Christmas Friday 14th December 2018 my boiler was condemned and my place had been without any Heat or Hot Water for some time. Then my brother said why didn’t i get an Oil Filled Radiator until my new boiler got installed. I brought my New Radiator 59.99 on Friday 11th January 2019 and my place had now been without heat or hot water for 28 days and believe me when i say, my place was very cold. I couldn’t believe my eye’s when it turned up just after 2 day as it wasn’t expected until the 16th or 17 of January.
Assembly
Putting the Radiator together was easy. No tools are needed. Just turn the Radiator up-side down and attach the wheels and your all done as the Radiators main body is already assembled. The controls and timer are very easy to deal with but, do read the manual so you know how they work.
Heat
As i said above, my living room is 15ft long and 13ft across. I set the heater to turn on for 7am on the max setting and to turn off at 7pm. This kept the room nice and cosy. There’s no noise other than the odd crack as the heater warms up and it heats up fast.
Cost
I’m one of these people who takes a Meter Reading every week and do the sums to know what i spent on energy that week. The Radiator for my living room was on 12 hrs per day for 7 days on the max setting and the heater used 166 units of electric which cost me 20.41 with the VAT at 5% included in the cost. This was about 2 less than what i pay for my gas which is on 24 hrs a day heating the hole house in the winter months. To sum-up, what it cost me to heat my hole house 24 hrs a day for 7 days using Gas cost me 22.17 with 5% VAT included in the cost.
To Finish
Your better of using gas to heat your home and to use these Radiators as a short term measure only.
I must also say that, being without any heat or heat water for 28 day this Radiator was a god send which made waiting for my new boiler a lot easier and more comfortable for me. So a BIG THANK YOU for that.
The cost i used is only for my home and just a guide for other customer to go by. I must also point out that, i am a person who really feels the cold, so what is comfortable for me might be a sweet box for someone else. With that said, i hope this will help you when buy your own Radiator.
Our central heating broke down before Christmas so we needed a heater quickly. This is a lovely heater with various temperature settings and timer, very warm when required. Don’t know what the bills are like as yet. But would recommend.
Thank God for these heaters they have saved me so much as I don’t have no heating at the moment. They keep the room warm and I can leave them on all night!! And they are safe to keep on but I have to leave the door open so the heat can travel. They are well worth it to keep.
Fantastic item – quick to heat up my loft room. After receiving the first one damaged in the box the company sent out a replacement without any hesitation, received it two days later. Would highly recommend
This radiator tucks in a corner and gives out a lot of heat when required. It can be controlled and is can be set on a timer so it is perfect for this particular room.
This has made a huge difference in my sunroom which is very cold at this time of the year. It heats up quickly and is good value for money.
had one type oil heater years ago it was not very good. THIS ONE IS UNBELIEVEABLE PUT IT IN CONSEVATORY WE CAN NOW USE THE CONSERVATORY IN WINTER AND IT ALSO HEATS OUR BUNGLOW AS WELL, HAVE NOT HAD HEATING ON SINCE IT ARRIVED I CANNOT FAULT IT BEST BUY I HAD FOR MANY YEARS, GOLD STAR 5 STAR, I WOULD RECOMMEND
I don’t often write reviews, however I have to say that this radiator exceeded our expectations. I have a workshop which is cold and drafty and I have tried a few other ways of heating the area, none of which have been very satisfying. This heater warms the area (about 20sq m) very nicely. In actual fact I have to to turn the thing down as it is getting too warm! (There are two settings, hi and lo and lo is just fine for a decent size room) I have a temperature gauge and this morning it read 18.2 degrees C, after just 10 minutes the workshop was at a more than comfortable (and constant) 21.5 C. Also, my dog loves it! Highly recommended.
This heater is good value. I think the lead could be a little longer which is why I gave it 4 for versatility. However, I would purchase another one if required.
I’m givng this a 5 because they are very good BUT I failed to take into account the size of the room. Probably excellent in a new build but not good in an old house with high ceilings. It does its best and takes the edge off the chill – my fault so this should not put you off buying. If like me you have a pretty large old space to heat look for something more powerful.
All seems ok, the only thing that I’ve not worked out yet is programing the timer to work, but I’m sure with a little practice i will sort it . Managed to sort out working it manually
Great. Just what we need to get the chill off our conservatory. Warms it up even in the hardest frosts in just 10 minutes. Left on low setting on thermostat stops it getting really chilled.
Does the job. Warms the room quickly and the timer is easy to set.
Bought this whilst waiting for new central heating boiler and have been using it to heat the hallway and stairwell of our 3 bed semi during chilly November weather. It has been very effective. Only assembly required was wheels and this was very straightforward. Controls easy to use. Though we haven’t been using the timer (by choice) it looks quite easy to adjust the timer pins (its a mechanical timer). Overall good value for money. Compact size and easily moveable .
Works well although pictures make the product look white when in fact it is a murky grey colour.
Would have been 5 stars otherwise
looks good on our wall wait to see how much will cost us when winter arrives.
Well designed and made heater ideal for what we wanted. Only criticism is the fitting instructions and the length of the fitting bolts which I cut down by15mm so they weren’t so visual.
I purchased this heater for my livingroom, was easily wall mounted altho I did use rawl plugs suitable for plasterboard, heavy duty ones. Setting the time/date etc was fairly easy using the manual. It keeps the room at a steady temperature. I have yet to check consumption as I’ve only had it a few days. It is robust and looks good and overall I’m very happy with my purchase.
Excellent radiator, delivered quickly. This is a well-made product and substantially constructed and thus quite heavy. It is supplied with all fitting parts needed for wall-mounting (note the radiator cannot be stood on the floor) and full user manual. The unit is easy to install. Once installed you need to program the timer and temperatures you want, which requires paying attention to the (clear) instructions in the user manual. Since the unit is fully programmable with the capability of having different settings for every day of the week if you wish, programming is of necessity quite complex. But if you are able to follow simple written instructions it should be no problem. There are also several pre-programmed ‘slots’ which can be used and these cover the needs of most people and most situations. If not, there are 4 user-definable programs. In use the radiator throws out substantial heat. It is, of course, totally silent in operation and its ‘designer’ looks make it look good in most rooms. I have only had the unit for a couple of days so cannot comment on its long-term use etc, but so far I am very impressed and would recommend this unit, or one of its counterpart units if you need more, or less, power.
This is the second one of these I have brought, they are wonderful! Transforming our house from cold to warm instantly. They are easy to put up too and the securing screw holds them firmly in place. A great product.
I love the look of this heater I’ve had it about 3 weeks and still haven’t programed it in can’t do it myself as it has been wall mounted and I’m 80 yrs.old and I can’t get down on the floor to do it .I have had two quite knowledgable people to try and work it out but they both think you to have a degree in electrical science to work it out so I’m stuck unless I pay an electrician which will add to a quite expensive radiator.
Pros;
Heats up quickly considering it’s a an oil filled
The thermostat is reliable and maintains the room temperature well
The digital controller is well made. The features are fairly easy to use and useful in the amount of time control available
The customer service department is helpful and the returns policy through Amazon is decent. The responses can take half a day/whole day but they do ensure to get back to you within a time
Cons;
The plastic side mountings of the radiator are a little flimsy and one side was damaged in delivery. However the company did arrange a quick replacement
The instruction manual and installation instructions aren’t very clear in parts but once you’ve got used to the controls their not needed
This is the workhorse that I need it to be and the purchase and delivery was great. The customer service standard was excellent when we were struggling to fit the appliance to the wall.
I needed a small relatively low wattage heater for the downstairs loo following a refurb. This neat unobtrusive radiator filled the bill, and had the added attraction of being programmable with a thermostat. I have only just fitted and plugged it in, and it looks great.
BUT – this is a Spanish made item, and it is just a tad on the flimsy side and moreover, the instructions have been translated almost verbatim from the Spanish and are not easy to understand (for example it warns of the ‘dilatation’ of some parts – I think they mean expansion!) and for those with less than 20/20 vision the digital display is hard to read.
However, I am hopeful that once I have mastered the ‘destructions’ it will do all I ask of it.
