Just what I was wanting. I needed to replace my hozelock reel with one the swivels and I wasn’t paying the ridiculous amount for a hozelock one. Read the reviews and took a chance. Fitted this morning and pleased to say that for now at least, it’s drip free, which is something that bugs me. The self reel in system works really well and is nice and easy to use. Pull it out and it automatically locks when you stop. Reel a further few inches and it winds back in. The multi function spray gun that comes with it looks a bit cheap and cheerful but it works as it should and I’m pleased with how it all works and looks. I used a 10mm drill bit and it’s chipped my render slightly around the fixings so be careful of this. Probably needs a 12mm bit. Instructions don’t specify drill bit size. Overall, I highly recommend this hoze set and I’ll update this review if it doesn’t stand the test of time.

Faire attention en fin de dbobinage du tuyau. Le mcanisme se bloque et le tuyau ne revient pas.

Can reach back and front gardens with ease, well designed
I finally got this device installed in the garage next to the external water source. Installation was easy enough all fittings and fixtures are supplied.
Operationally the device works as expected, fit the water source to internal pipe and that’s all there is to it.
The retraction gives 20 meters which is plenty hose for me to water the front and back gardens.
Also, the device can be removed easily by removing the bolt from the wall and carrying the entire device to a different location.
Recommended.

This is a very practical hose reel as it protects the hose itself from the elements, and not only that, it also helps keeping the garden tidy and clean.
Installation was pretty simple, I usually find myself using my own plugs/screws to fit things like these but the included plugs and bolts were of excellent quality and I didn’t feel the need to swap them.
Once fitted, the mount swivels 180 which is extremely convenient, the spring is strong and solid, you can stop the hose itself at any length by simply reducing the pulling tension and waiting for it to ‘click’ on its way back. The hose is of excellent quality and it does reel all the way back after use, and the locking ball can be relocated by a simple clip.
A little advice would be to wrap an old damp cloth around the hose while reeling it back in so that sand/grit/dirt doesn’t find its way back into the case/spring, which should help keeping the unit in good condition for a longer time.
2 minor issues are:
During the installation, there wasn’t enough of a gap on the wall mount to allow for a 13 mm socket to tighten the bolt, a spanner will be better as the socket was jammed by the wall mount as the bolt got tighter, but this is only a minor criticism.
The other issue is the nozzle, it’s low profile and thin, which is great, but it becomes incredibly difficult to change the spray patterns if your hands are wet and slippery, I personally swapped it with a traditional style watering gun for more practicality.
Overall: At 65.99 at the time of reviewing, this is an excellent choice for watering your garden without having to worry about manually rewinding it, it will be kept nice and neat with minimal effort, would definitely recommend.
I’m really pleased with this hose reel. It is very good quality, and reels in and out quickly and easily. Seems comparable to far more expensive options. highly recommended.
This hose is perfect for my small front and back gardens.
It can be attached to a wall or used free standing which is how I am currently using it until I can get it attached to my garden wall next to my tap.
I had to get an attachment in order to attach it to my tap, but other than that it was good to go! All required attachments are included. As well as the hose head attachment.
The pivot function is really good and would be very handy for a large garden rather than having to bend the hose too much possibly sustaining damage to the hose.
The hose is retractable so very easy to wind back inside the housing when you have finished with it, equally easy to pull out to the required length when in use and at 20 metres it is long enough to drag through my house and water my garden plants at the front too as I don’t have a tap at the front.
All in all good value hose and I would recommend.

On arrival this hose comes complete, installed inside the well built casing, along with this comes a wall mount bracket, wall anchors, bolts and a screw fit tap adapter offering two sizes of tap thread.
Mounting the bracket to the wall was a case of marking and drilling out four holes which I drilled to 10mm, the wall plugs hammered into the tight fitting holes nicely and I then bolted the bracket on using a 13mm socket. Once the bracket was mounted it was a simple case of lining the reel casing up and securing with the supplied hinge pin. The supplied adapter fitted my garden tap perfectly so I didn’t need to use the smaller threaded part that comes with it, I could then push the hose onto the tap adapter after I shortened this piece of hosepipe as I had hung the mount directly next to the tap.
The only downside to me which isn’t really an issue with this hose set and seems to be the case with all of them is that I would really love these to come with a metal hinge pin that can then be secured with a padlock as an anti theft device, being as I have my hose at the front of my house this is a worry about leaving it fitted. In the end however I drilled a hole through at the bottom of the hinge pin so that I could push a padlock through and secure it in place. Due to the pin being plastic it wouldn’t take too much to snap it off and steel the hose but at least this offers a small deterrent.
That said, this hose set really is terrific to use, I just need to turn on the tap and pull as much hose from the reel as I need, then the supplied spray head can be adjusted from a strong single jet all the way to a fine, wide spray. When I’m finished I simply give the hose a light tug and the reel automatically draws the hosepipe back in winding it evenly as it goes. To help keep the workings clean the casing also has a brush strip at the hose outlet so any dirt gets wiped away when the hose is retracted.
When I ordered this I thought it was rather expensive but looking at the price of other makes and models and now seeing how well this works, I now believe that this offers very good value for money.

When I saw this, my first thought was that the quality would suffer since it seems to have a close resemblance to the excellent Gardenia hose reel, but it is so much cheaper.
To compare the two, the Gardenia is a lot bigger, it has 10 meters more hose and it is a huge amount more expensive. This reel being smaller, has less hose, but the functions are very similar. It rewinds competently and has the left-right traversing movement whilst winding up, preventing blockages. It rewinds with a tug on the hose, though not quite as ‘strongly’ as the Gardenia – but the point is that it does rewind automatically when required.
I there is a carry handle on the top, I imagine there are circumstances when it might need to be moved? Though if its on the same supply, I would have thought attaching a hose to the ‘front’ more convenient than moving the reel?
Attaching easily and conveniently to a wall with the supplied bracket and long pin, which also has an accessory attachment on the top, It will swing through 180. It sports a two-meter connection hose with tap adaptor on ‘the back end’ and a spray attachment the ‘front end’.
I can’t find fault, it works well, comes with all necessary connectors, it is good quality and at a good price, if anything changes I will edit but it’s got to deserve five stars!

Ordered this as our existing ‘big brand’ unit has started failing to retract.
This unit is pretty solid and heavy, with both the casing and the hose itself coloured grey. This might be worth bearing in mind if you have anyone with sight issues who might prefer a yellow hose or similar.
Although we mounted it on a wall, the unit can be quick released from the wall bracket and used with the integral handle – so quite flexible. Note that the manufacturer does supply both sturdy bolt screws and decent wallplugs as well.
The operation is the usual – pull out to required length (it can go 20m) then stop at the next click. They’ve added a sort of brush curtain over the opening, which should reduce insect entry and also clean the hose a little as it retracts.
Time will tell how sturdy and resilient the mechanism is, but the spec says OK down to -5C.
As is often the case, the translation for the instructions is not great – but having said that there is not much you need to know in the way of operating something like this.
Overall, a value product at a competitive price.
I’m not suggesting that the build quality of this hose reel matches that of others which are almost twice the price but viewing it with its price in mind I would say that knowing the quality of this hose set in relation to other more expensive sets then I would have no hesitation in purchasing this set. I would have liked to see a different method of fixing the rotating hinge to the bracket itself. Yes, having such a feature, a pull out ‘pin’ makes the hose set portable but that to my mind means portable to thieves too. My logic being that if some low priced solar lights were attractive enough for someone to purloin on two separate occasions from my garden then I’m sure a nice cuddly hose set such as this one would also be alluring to the purloiners, smile.
