This was bought for a 95 year old gentleman and couldn’t be simpler for him to use. Just two dials. Turn to temperature then turn to time, easy! Also it’s white inside making it easier to see the food. Very pleased.
Love the stainless steel inside so easy to clean love it just what I wanted very easy to use press minutes wanted to cook item that’s it definitely a 5 Sta
The good:
Stainless steel interior means there’ll be none of that peeling paint and the crackly sparking that goes along with it.
It’s doesn’t beep (seemingly) incessantly! The high-pitched beeping which accompanies the button pushing of some push-button ‘modern’ microwaves grates inside my ears & head. And then they have to gall to beep FIVE times when the cycle is done. Why?? This lovely little unit just gives you that classic ‘ting’ ONCE when the heating is over. That’s all you need.
The not-so-good:
The knobs are quite hard to grip to turn them, especially the timer knob, and especially if you have wet hands; there’s no grip on them at all! I’ve stretched a rubber o-ring over the knobs which handily cures the problem (an elastic band would work well too), but it should have been spotted at the design stage.
The indicator lines on the knobs is also quite hard to see, so I’ve coloured them in with black pen. Again, such a mod shouldn’t be necessary.
Overall:
We’ve had ours for over a year now and it’s been brilliant; despite very minor, surmountable flaws, this is an excellent and easy-to-use microwave.
We were prepared to spend more money on buying a new microwave. After reading the details and reviews about this microwave we decided this was a good buy and could cover all our needs. Display buttons were easy to understand etc etc. Made in UK was the best selling point.
it matches well with my kitchen. the function is ok but not great as it does not control well the heating in mid power levels. Apart from that, I am pleased with it so far. I’ve been using it for 1 month approx.
love this microwave, so easy to use , no fancy dial’s or program’s , just open your door place your food in and turn the know , easy as that . But the best thing is it’s so easy to keep clean , just a wipe and your done , no worries about rusting like some I’ve bought over the year’s.an excellent microwave for the money I paid !! Would recommend anyone looking for a microwave to seriously consider this microwave
I wanted a simple stainless steel lined microwave and am very pleased with this. The stainless steel cavity is not sink or cutlery grade and reacts to a magnet when tested, but it looks good and it IS easy to clean. The controls are basic and the end bell is a little stifled but I like it and its perfectly adequate. It’s nicer to use than my old microwave and the rotating plate seems to turn more evenly. It has a yellow interior light which does seem to make it easier to see what’s going on inside. Very pleased with my purchase.
Thrilled with this! Basic microwave, easy to use and bliss to keep clean due the stainless steel interior. No more bubbling/peeling coating inside the microwave which is often why they get replaced to begin with.
Smart inside and out, does exactly what it says on the tin and bargain price, too. Big thumbs up from me!
Not a Vine purchase, bought because I needed it! I wanted a lower wattage microwave for my camper, but still with sufficient internal capacity for how I’d use it. This is a basic model without all the automatic settings for different types of food/use, but that is exactly what I wanted: most of us are quite capable of working out how to defrost frozen chicken or cook rice! The knobs can be a bit difficult to get a purchase on if your hands are wet or greasy, but I solved that by putting silicon rubber bands round them. Simple! The easy-clean stainless steel interior is a definite advantage over many microwaves and was one of the reasons I chose this one. If I had been buying for my kitchen I would probably prefer a more powerful machine. Brown rice, for example, takes about 50% longer in this machine than it did in my previous 900W m’wave, but power draw is an issue in the camper. In summary: A good quality, basic microwave.
This is a good microwave for the money with a stainless steel interior it was a no brainer for me as my last one corroded inside it also seems to heat up better. Being British also made my mind up..
Perfect to replace an expensive Panasonic digital with 1001options etc. but bit the dust after two years and told uneconomical to repair. So this Hayden was bought primarily as the inner lining being stainless steel is easy to clean and does not rust. Very basic settings with mechanical timer. Love it as compact, surprisingly cooks as well as the 900w Panasonic with a wattage of 700w so economical.Has a range of heat settings and totally a little gem. Priced really comparable with other similar microwaves and although had not heard of the Haden am totally pleased. It seems well made and fits perfectly in my kitchen. Buy with confidence as very few of similar type, if any have the bonus of a stainless steel lining. Nicely packaged so came in pristine condition so that’s all I say say as to date no downside at all and a third of the price of my previous microwave.
Harden Microwave STAINLESS STEEL INTERNALLY. DEFINITELY worth it as it gets wet inside when microwaving food and the stainless steel inside prevents rust occurring. Also the stainless steel does not break up inside, unlike my previous enamel ones which broke up, when water occurs during consistent use.. Easy to wipe the water away and leave the door open a little to air dry after use.

Back to basics microwave, and we love it. Easy clean stainless steel inner, a timer control knob, and a power knob. Simplicity itself.
