Handy Brite Solar LED Spotlight – Solar Powered Motion-Activated LED Security Ligh

Solar powered motion-activated led security light

Handy Brite Solar LED Spotlight looks like a working security camera but is actually a high-tech solar-powered light with motion-sensing technology. Handy Brite Solar LED Spotlight automatically turns on the instant motion is detected nearby, and turns off again when the motion stops so it doesn’t waste energy. Handy Brite Solar LED Spotlight is solar powered so there’s no expensive wiring or batteries to change. Simply place it where the solar panel can soak up the sun and it will look after itself! The panel collects the sun’s energy to charge all day, so it has the power to provide light, when and where you need it, all night. With 8 ultra-bright LED lights your outdoor spaces will be clear and well-lit as soon as somebody comes near.

Solar powered – no wiring, no batteries!

Handy Brite Solar LED Spotlight has its own source of energy in the form of state-of-the-art solar panels, mounted right on top and connected by a swivel joint so you can position them at the perfect angle to catch the most rays. So, with no need for cables and expensive installation, you just mount your Handy Brite Solar LED Spotlight to a wall, position the solar panels towards the sunlight, and then just let this wonderful little security light take care of itself. No cables, no bills, no worries!

Motion-sensor turns it on and off automatically

The eight powerful LED lights in Handy Brite Solar LED Spotlight will cover a wide area outside your home, whether mounted to light up your driveway, your porch, garage, path, garden or back yard. But, best of all, the motion sensor means it will come on every time something moves! Now you can approach your home and not have to fumble for keys in the dark or worry about shadows moving in the night near your property. PLUS, that same sensor shuts off your Handy Brite Solar LED Spotlight once movement has stopped, so your light isn’t on all night, annoying the neighbours and wasting energy!

Had to return first one to manufacturer, but fast efficient service and received replacement. Great light. Easy to put up with bright light and a red warning light.
A really useful piece of kit at a very competitive price which actually does what it said it would.

I have 3 of these to cover my garden which is long and has bushes in places. I purchased them during the winter and despite limited daylight they all charge well and provide bright light. Living in a rental we couldn’t screw anything into the walls and so these are all in place using the ground stakes which is what made me choose these. Means I can keep an eye on my dogs when they go out after dark but also don’t have to worry about a light being on for ages and annoying neighbours. Highly recommend.

Great and very bright solar light. I brought three to try I’m so pleased I’m going to buy another two. I put the first on the stake in the ground it worked brilliant. I’ve now screw, them all to my house. Definitely worth the money.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersReally ggod light, easy to install, powers up even with low day light. Very bright and quick motion detection. Only downside is that there is a red flashing light in with the LED’s to make it look like a CCTV camera, this is very bright and we could see ours from the top of our road! we had to put some black tape over where the red bulb was located within the LED’s. This red flashing light isn’t mentiond in the description.

We needed an led spotlight and this does the job. However I am concerned that the sun light collector will charge battery as you cannot give 360 degree adjustment.

Use to light up our driveway when someone approaches the door and so far has been great. Good brightness even charging in winter – I’d say the actual effective range isn’t massive (if you’re drive is longer than 5m or so it’s much dimmer outside that range. Added bonus is everyone thinks it’s a camera so has a deterrent factor as well.

    Motion detection good,
The brightness isn’t as good as it looks in the photo, hence only 2 stars for that.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe light comes partially charged but needs a couple of days in full sunlight (switched off) to make sure consistent power is maintained .Once done it can be fitted to the wall ,soffit,or ground stake to best advantage. The light sensor is very effective and sensitive to movement .A good bright light with sufficient span to light a pathway or patio as required.Buy this night light with confidence it is sold at a competitive price from a well known trader and has lived up to all expectations in ease of installing and spotlight effectiveness. A great piece of kit A+++++

It is very easy to install but I found it not so easy to actually point in the desired direction to cover the area I needed- the light is one part so the sensor and the solar panel move as one, not independently, it is heavy so will not point upwards so covers rather close area.
The bracket snapped easily but a bit of glue and it is back on the fence wall.
The light is very bright and not just a flicker, it stays on for a while. Charges beautifully.

This is a perfect replacement for my broken outside light, that had a mind of it’s own, turning on during the day etc. It uses it’s power from the daylight/sun, and when triggered, it works perfectly. Not as much scope as the other, but more reliable. Thinking of having one the other side of the wall to compensate for the dark area. Over all, I would recommend this value for money, Handy Brite Solar Ligh

Not shockingly bright but still useful. Ideal as a quick first measure before you get round to having something more professional (if you ever do!). The motion detection works well.

Note that it won’t work normally when you first get it before it’s had its first charge (i.e. left out in the daylight for a few hours). Some negative reviews may be from people who don’t read instructions. Take care not to over-tighten anything.

I’ve only had mine for a short while. I’ll update this review if any problems or change of opinion.

You need to place it in an area that gets good daylight.

For where I have installed the light it would have been useful to have some more flexibility on the positioning of the solar panel, but I’ve manged to make it work, even if the light is in a slightly awkward position. Light is nice and bright and motion sensor works well. Battery appears to hold a good charge from the solar panel – much better than some others I’ve got around the garden, etc.

Easy to install. Bright enough for side of house. Only negative is the solar panel doesn’t like strong winds. Just needs repositioned after stormy conditions. But even when it sits flat in winter there is enough charge in it to do the job. Would purchase again.

Quite reasonable construction, time will tell how long they last, easy to install via three screws. Motion sensor range seems dependent on charge level as does brightness. Does a decent enough job of illuminating the driveway and have a second unit pointing up the garden which is good enough for purpose.
Brightness and range totally dependant on solar panel sunlight exposure which is not great in winter , will no doubt improve brightness and detection range in summer.
The units provide some useful illumination and are convenient if like me you don’t want the hassle and expense of wiring in mains powered lighting .
Motion detection range is about 5 to 6 metres but will probably improve when it’s able to charge fully.

I installed in January and had to contact customer services as the light was not working even though it had 7 hours of direct sunlight for its initial charge. They informed me that because of the time of year and daylight hours the light would actually need a few days charge. No problem, after 3 days the light is functioning perfectly and it’s so bright considering its solar powered. The installation was less than 5 mins and I used a 5mm masonry drill bit for the included fixings. I will buy another for the back of my house now, what a fantastic product.

The solar spotlight is very bright but it does need to have the sunlight to work. If it only gets a little bit of sun during the day it is not on for long when it starts to get dark.

Easy to install with plenty of movement to angle were you would like it set up, light seemed bright and a red flashing light to simulate a security camera at night.

Only think that I found it was a little bit tricky to set the motion sensor were I wanted it, but I think that was due to it having it built into the light.

The handibrite is very useful. If I could change one thing on it, it would be make it more adaptable for the solar panel to swivel around 360 degrees but still keep the light and heat detector focused in the front.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersThis is the second one of these I have purchased in the last few months and they have changed the design slightly. The ball-and-socket joint that holds the lamp and the adjustable bracket that holds the solar panel have both been improved, so are held more firmly in the desired position. The basic operation hasn’t changed, but that was fine anyway. Motion sensor sensitivity is ‘just right’, so doesn’t come on with every leaf that blows past. The multi-LED lamp isn’t going to light up your whole garden (as a mains powered device would) but these are great for illuminating a small area like your front door or dark areas at the rear of the house (e.g. wheelie bins) that you need to access regularly during the long dark nights of winter. Recommended.

Bought these to assist with lighting at side of house when taking dog out early hours. Excellent, do easy to install. Not as bright as TV advert shows but it’s solar power after all. Saves expense of electrician. Handy red LED flashing lights appear as working CCTV system. Good security deterrent.

Ideal for my purpose of providing extra security in a darkened area where there is no electrical supply

  42. Anonymous says:

     United Kingdom 🇬🇧

Easy to install and good results. be careful not to have motion sensor angle too general as it will switch on when anything moves eg if you are pointing out towards road way every car passing will set it off.
Actual light is bright in really dark areas but not quite so affective when in areas when other sources of light exist.

I have not installed yet but have tested it. Seems to work well. I had assumed that the solar panel could be adjusted independently of the light. The best light source might not be where the lamp is pointing.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersThis is the second light that I have purchased, one for each end of the garden. Great for seeing what my puppy is getting up to at night! I have been able to angle them at points that do not glare annoyingly in to neighbours property. Automatically detects when to come on to standby, similarly when to shut down in morning, as well as switching light on when sensing motion. Saves you forgetting to either switch on or off. As described, the unit has a red flashing light while in standby. While some may find this annoying, at least it lets you know that it is charged at same time as possibly acting as a cctv deterrent.
