My grandson is over the moon and absolutely loves the keyboard.
So far so good. Still working fine after a yea
its good but i would wait and get a apex tkl for fortnite
The item was exactly as listed and arrived quickly, thanks to the seller for a quick and easy delivery.
i use this keyboard for regular gaming – you can tell it feels like a budget board but for general gaming and not a high budget would deffinetly reccomend.
bought this awhile back and have since put custom key caps on it, i love it, good for its price.
Risposta tasti ottima latenza pari a 0 , pressione e sound tasti spettacolari.
Altre 2 pecche: tasto shift progettato male, essendo il tasto pi grosso degli altri la pressione a volte non viene rilevata dallo switch per via della collocazione di quest’ultimo; altro problema, posizione dei tasti FN scomoda
First of all I had to return one lavender GK61 keyboard I got which was faulty due to the equals and plus /f12 (=+) key was triggering the whole top right set of keys ({[]}=+ and enter) so that’s mainly why I gave 4 stars, another thing is that the keyboard feels quite sensitive which can be a bad thing for gaming for example resting my finger on key caps sometimes select that key, this can be annoying when playing a game like Fortnite when your ready your finger on a building key and it accidentally triggers.
Some good things on the GK61. Hot-swappable switches gives you a the chance to upgrade. the typing experience which is smooth and satisfying, the sound of the keys are a little clicky and thoccy ( Gateron mechanical yellows), the color of the keyboard is very accurate to the listing image’s and the rgb is very vibrant and has a lot of customizability with the app.
Overall the GK61 is worth the 69.99 price tag due to the pleasing experience I’ve had so far with typing and performance in long gaming sessions.
for 50 bucks is great and i love the blue switches
I like everything about it. Nothing to complain about I love that it’s very customizable and easy to do so. Also the lighting is nice. Good 60% keyboard
I love my keyboard, blue switches don’t sound great, loudness is good but just not a very satisfying click sound, space bar isn’t that good for clicks. I do recommend this as a first keyboard to get you started 🙂
Arrived quickly less than 24 hours. Really enjoyed the typing experience, the button still works as an A key but ‘a’ key cap is missing there’s also no replacement keys.
Would be great if I could get the key sent out.
It’s a pretty good keyboard for beginners to customize. I chose the red opticals for mine and there’s six screws that hold the pbc to the shell of the keyboard. I was able to easily slap some foam under there and snap it back together.
The only thing for me is that the keys are pretty sensitive and will press down with a very small amount of pressure, but it’s nice to have that compared to keys not registering.
This keyboard has made me want to EXCLUSIVELY use Gateron Silent Brown switches. Its astonishing how quiet they are and still feel so tactile. The keyboard was just quiet enough out the box to bring to the office. Its a joy to type on and fully utilize my desk space with the 60% layout. All I need to do now to make it just 10% better is lube and band-aid mod. Spacebar sounds a little too loud in comparison to everything else and it would feel more consistent if this was done out the box. Still, doesn’t take away from how good this keyboard is.
The stabilisers in this keyboard are absolutely terrible – super rattle-y any and in general just wildly unpleasant, however otherwise this keyboard is a great form factor for easy portability between computers. if you build a lot of PCs or work around them a lot this is a cheap and handy option for carrying between systems. If you’re gaming, I recommend looking elsewhere, possibly at brands such as Epomaker, or building your own – your keyboard is one of the most important tools in your life so get a good one!
Excellent for the price, better than expected and so cute! I’m definitely happy with their keyboard and I will be using it all the time. It was nice of them to include a keycap puller as well since I was planning on doing some customization!
The keyboard is good, but I got a typo on my keyboard kry (two esc keys instead of ‘1!’)
Deciding whether to keep it or return it because I really like the keyboard.
Update: They were kind enough to give me a refund of 10 and keep the keyboard(I can just replace the key now). So 5 stars for that.
Currently writing this on my GK61 with silver switches which I have used for about a month now, the keeb is great, mine came pre lubed and sounds alright stock. The main issue I have is the tacky software, which feels like a very unexperienced person put up in 10 minutes. Its extremly buggy, and I found it was difficult to manuever. Other than that, the layout may be difficult to adapt to, as it uses an American ISO Layout.
Bought for our Grandson for his Birthday he’s really happy he says it’s really fast , Brilliant for gaming, and he loves the colour ( bought the Red )and the way it lights up it looks really expensive, great quality for the price fast delivery Thank You !!!
Only had it for a short while.build quality seems good the only gripe I have is that the GK6Xplus dosen’t work with the US model
I got the blue switch for the clicky sounds, easy to swap keys and switches. The program if installed in English is easy to program as well. Rlly the quality of ur keyboard depends on ur research, what switches do u like, and what ur using the keyboard for.
I bought this keyboard for the purpose of modding it, replacing the switches and keycaps etc. I ordered the silent brown switches even though I was going to replace them with jelly blacks. The silent browns had a good tactility however were very scratchy and not my personal liking. However, the quality and build of the board and PCB itself is excellent and was perfect for my needs since I was replacing the switches anyway. I paid 60 on offer for this keyboard and for that price it was 100% worth it. The RGB LEDs are bright and the software is ok but if you’re looking for a keyboard to mod this is the one for you!
This is my first %60 keyboard I like it i already started changing key caps and things I got the rest the set just wanted to use played some valorant and its great sounds great too won’t find a better one for $70
The keyboard is the best I’ve ever used the keys feel great and the keyboard fits any setup I do wish the software had more options but noticing time can’t fix
This keyboard is just amazing I am using it for about 6 months now and it’s great everything works perfectly I have no complaints with it what so eve
This keyboard is alright, I guess a semi alternative version of the huntsman mini if you want something close to being as responsive as it, it didn’t live up to the standards I got put in my head after hearing reviews on responsiveness. Also, The Cheap keycaps hitting the plastic board is flat out annoying, but eh it is what it is and just like with all keyboards you can lube the switches and sound dampen it for better sound after all of that it is so bad after all. I just wouldn’t recommend maining this keyboard when there’s way for potential out there
I liked it and it felt very good, but when trying to be on calls it could be annoying or if I was playing games where you hit the keys alot, it could be very loud and it would be hard to hear the game.
This Keyboard Is Very Good Gor The Price It Is Okay And It Is Good At Typing And Gaming, The Switches Feel Good And Smooth, This Keyboard Is Not Height Adjustable But Angle They Give Is Good And Isn’t Annoying But This Could Be Different To Other People. My Biggest Problem Is That The RGB Software Is Terrible And Not Good At All It Is Very Basic And For The Price You Are Paying This Is Something Basic You Would Expect So Do Not Buy This. Instead Buy A GK61 From The Brand Epomaker Skyloong As It Is The Same Keyboard But With Good RGB Software And Quite Literally The Same Keyboard As This One But Just With Different Switches (Maybe)
And Better RGB Software And That Keyboard Can Be Found On Their Website Or Amazon. This Keyboard Would Have Been Better If It Had Better RGB Software Or If It Had A Lower Price.
Check the video I submitted as I show how the program works and my favourite settings. Absolutely nothing I’d change about it. High quality with a nice click, perfect colour and simply to use. I got the UK one but it also comes in DE and US.
To get the software on Windows search “www.hk-gaming.com” and the second website titled “download” from there select in the GK61 column, “S/N Starting with: GK61US” (you can change it to UK by doing what I show in the video, changing what different keys mean). Click “download (v1.1_0113)” and name it + put it in your files. Once downloaded open the file and it will bring you to Microsoft store where you press “install anyway” It will ask you for your pin, it’s completely safe don’t worry. Type in your pin and once it loads it will ask you for your preferred language. And in this order press “next, choose where the file goes, next, name the file, next, install, finish” open the program and from there I show you in the video.
Hope this helps! Byeeee
I bought a blue and a red keyboard (both silent brown), and this is the first time I’ve not had to sacrifice quality for out-of-the-box design. I also like the range of backlight color, because I like to lower the intensity but still have them. I also like the smooth keycaps because they don’t suck up crud as much. I prefer keyboards without any “tray” for crud to build up in, which this does have–although I like that the switches are raised a bit so the crud doesn’t get into them. Still requires popping all the keys off to get into the corners. I’d prefer the arrow keys weren’t hidden behind the FN key, and if there was a 68 key version with dedicated arrow, del, home, and pg up/down, I’d be in heaven. I didn’t mess with the included software and just used an opensource program to change some keys I didn’t like. One of the best buys I’ve made in a while when it comes to computers. I rarely leave reviews, but these are solid and perfectly priced.
Pretty good gaming wise, bad stabilizers and also very very loud. If you don’t really care and just need a good gaming keyboard it’s definitely the way to go. I’m getting the Durock plate mount stabs to help with the problems.
Love the keyboard and the software it really nice it doesn’t move while gaming also has really good click response excellent for the price you pay But the box doesn’t give you the software name to download it so you have to find it yourself it already comes with a keycap puller and a switch puller the switches I got where mechanical blue switches and the hey caps fell good but can be better I love this keyboard over all I’ll give it a 9/10
hello everyone I just want to let you know how amazing this keyboard it came so fast and beautiful and the sound is
sooo good because I am a clicky switch man and I took the blue optical switches and ohh man this is sound the best I cannot tell you how amazing this feeling and the RGB light are very shiny and I like it and I’m so exited so if anyone don’t know if to buy this or no you should have no question this keyboard is so cheap and good!
something very important to know is you need to press FN to use the arrow keys and to press any of the f numbered keys
Recently been looking for a keyboard with yellow switches and am very impressed by this build. For the price you really can’t go wrong. Great RGB, switches and keys work (hopefully for a long time), and overall came as advertised. I’m sure there are better keyboards out there for keyboard fanatics, but if you’re on a budget this is the one for you!
This keyboard is a great option for anyone looking to get a mechanical keyboard, it is a great option for its price tag. It is also a 60% board which is great because it takes up less desk space while it still has the crucial arrow keys.
This keyboard is so impressive, very quiet key tap and the colour changes are excellent, very pleased.
his is a great affordable hot swap keyboard for anyone trying to get into the stressful, depraved, and wonderful world of customizable mechanical keyboards. when i first got this keyboard the stock switch and keycaps sounded not so great (gateron mech blacks), but after 6 back breaking soul crushing hours i finally got all 61 switches lubed and back into the pcb with new pbt keycaps. i would also recommend modding the stabs on this board because the stock sound is super rattly. all in all though this is a great board and it shipped really fast, 10/10 would recommend.
I was so excited after seeing that you could get this keyboard in alternate colors other than black and on top of that you can specify the types of key switches you want loaded in! Pink was my keyboard color choice and I opted for the Brown silent switches as I love the look of the keyboard and I didn’t want to be able to hear it through my headset during use. It worked out perfectly. Completely driverless, plug and play, RGB controls, Volume controls, storable profiles for different RGB settings, all on this tiny keyboard with the help of a simple “Fn” key (which will become your best friend if you use arrow keys or the F1-F12 keys often) That becomes easy and not too awkward to use quickly/mindlessly. Aesthetics are amazing, petite size, solid build quality (it seriously feels like I could drive a nail through my wall with this thing), bright RGB’s with dozens of settings/effects, and hot-swappable if you like to tinker and customize your switches/key caps! All bought, customized and delivered in under 24 hours! Props to the manufacturer and my delivery driver<3
Fantastic value and quality. Would have got five stars except it has two F2 keys and no F1 key, as shown in the pic. Lol
I love this keyboard, it feels awesome to type on and has suck a satisfying feel/sound. I also love the colour and design, it was practically the only 60% mechanical keeb I could find that was in purple, to go with my setup
HOWEVER, one word of warning – it’s a US layout. No sign key and the @ symbol is Shift+2, not Shift+’. Honestly though, for me this isn’t that much of a big deal. It actually still inputs as a sign even when I press Shift+3, and I’m kind of used to the swapped @ placement due to using Macs throughout my life. There is no # key anywhere so that may be an issue for some. I also had to play around in the HK gaming keyboard software to get the Up arrow to only input as / so that I could still type a question mark. Not a huge deal though and I just swapped Up to Right Shift in the software – it’s next to it anyway
As my first mechanical keyboard I am genuinely over the moon with it – the quality is great. There’s a tiny bit of metal ringing sound when you type (especially using the spacebar) but I don’t mind this. The RGB lighting is nice and has a good amount of different settings/colours to choose from. I would honestly rate 5 stars if I had actually received a UK layout, but consider my rating a 4.5.
I use this for gaming every day, I adore it. I’ve bought four other 60% keyboards around the same price range and they’ve got this weird thing where all of the punctuation is quadrupled up on strange keys.. this one does NOT have that problem and I’m so thankful! I got blue switches and they sound phenomenal. The rgb on this is beautiful and the settings are super easy to change so I never forget how to do it. This is absolutely my new daily driver keyboard – I’m super happy with it.
Amazing budget friendly keyboard! Super happy that it comes hotswapable with Gateron Black switches, my favourite switch! I have yet to lube and mod it due to work but stock it sounds pretty good! Other then the stock stabs were are horrible buy pretty much all stock stabs are! 5/5 stars and would recommend for anyone trying to get into the modding hobby!
EDIT:
I finally got around to modding this keyboard and man oh man… I love it, so happy with the quality I was able to get out of this budget board! It sounds better than a lot of $300+ keyboards I’ve heard. 5/5 would recommend, although the stabilizers 100% need the hole mod to sounds good!
I got the gk61 with black switches, which aren’t suppose to feel clicky, and I really like them. Only thing I really don’t like is the stabs, which aren’t the best, but aren’t the worst either. Other than that the build quality is nice, and if you want to be able to use other switches than optical, make sure to get the mechanical switches, not the optical.
This keyboard is amazing, I love the sound of the keyboard have, and it’s a pretty fast. I used to gaming, and this keyboard pretty good for gaming.
Perfect in every way, takes a little getting used to but it’s a perfect gaming keyboard for anyone looking for a good budget mechanical keyboard this is the 1.
Besides the software for RGB being a little hit and miss, it’s a really good keyboard and highly recommend! I got the yellow switches and believe me you really feel the difference!
Top Quality!
I wanted to like this keyboard SO BAD but I just couldn’t and the reason for that is the layout of it.
I am used to fullsize keyboards and have been looking for a purple keyboard with RGB leds for the LONGEST time. When I found this one, I figured I would get used to the smaller layout of the keyboard, but I received it and just hated it. With pain in my heart, I returned it.
If you like small keyboard layouts, I recommend this product 100% which is why I’m writing this review. It’s just not for me. The RGB leds were absolutely gorgeous and the keyboard overall felt very nice and durable when testing it out. The colour lavender it has is absolutely perfect.
All in all, if this keyboard existed in fullsize layout I would absolutely THROW my money at it because it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. But I just can’t with the small layout. So sad 🙁
1) Responsive. 2) Deskspace. 3) Customizable
I bought the Malibu version of the GK61 with the yellow gateron switches and they are super responsive to touch. It seems like you can blow on the keys and they could type lol. The very responsive yellows could be a turn off to people who don’t like sensitive keys but I also have the blue switches so they are a great option as well. The yellow switches definitely give me an advantage for fast response games like COD and Fortnite.
As an artist and a student I need a lot of space on my desk and full sized keyboards took a lot of that space. With the Gk 61 I free up so much space and I can store it in a little drawer. If you’re looking for a 60% keyboard to free up your desk space and provide a great gaming experience this is the keyboard for you.
In these picture I show how the Gk 61 can be customized. Very cheap to customize along with an already budget friendly keyboard means that you have more bang for your buck!
They keyboard itself is spectacular! Works great, looks good. However, I just got this keyboard yesterday afternoon and as I was using it today I noticed how dirty the keycaps were, and I can garuntee the marks are not from my use as ive only used it a couple hours since receiving the keyboard. Not sure if any other buyers have had this issue, its easily fixable with a good cleaning of the keycaps. Just letting future buyers be aware of this issue.
This keyboard is awesome. I just got the Malibu colored variant with red switches. The software is ok. It works. Just a reminder about how small this is. Like laptop keyboard small. Which I love and actually wasn’t expecting. Very sturdy build to. I’m getting the matching mouse later today. The space saving alone makes this worth the money. I’m going to get ppt keys next. I feel very satisfied with this purchase.
Very good product, sounds very clean, wish it was a bit more customisable with the rgb
The keyboard has nice key caps and it came with a key cap puller. It is good it comes with a key cap puller but it is not the best, it runs the paint of the caps. The one other problem I had was the stabs but I did a quick foam mod and they sounded perfec
Product is great. I bought mine for $79.49 including free shipping and tax. Quality feels great, although there is the rattling on the space bar. Its mainly plastic as well as the keycaps, and the structure itself. One thing I’m disappointed about is the black screw piece that’s under the keycaps which is some what visible. Its got multiple great bright lighting features, etc. Overall, this keyboard is worth the price.
This is a fantastic keyboard for the price. I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did, but as I have an AMD system and therefore the Razer Huntsman Mini breaks my computer, I had to look at other options for a 60% keyboard. This one came highly recommended and I can see why – it feels so good to type on and the RGB lighting is quite customisable even without the software installed. I would definitely recommend the silver switches as they are butter smooth with just the right amount of actuation force. The best part is that even if you don’t like the switches that come preinstalled, they are fully modular so you can pull them out and install ones that you prefer. The one thing I will criticise is the cable it comes with is rather short at 1.6 meters, so I had to use one of my own. That being said, it connects via USB type C so having the option to use your own cable is a boon all of its own. If you’re in the market for a 60% you could certainly do worse than one of these guys.
To be honest i don’t know what I expected but when I received it my first thought was “I thought it’d be bigger”. I didn’t see any mention of the size (it’s 29cm by 10 cm btw). Still a very pretty keyboard, bought it cuz it was the first LED gaming keyboard I’ve seen in purple.
Seems like a nice keyboard and a great compact size. However I purchased for word processing at work. Very clicky which is OK but so loud that it’s almost distracting to me. Also I cannot figure out how to modify the arrow keys (combined with Alt, Ctrl, etc.) so you don’t have to push Fn to use them. So didn’t meet my personal needs. Returning.
It’s a really good and kinda clicky keyboard. It’s got light-up functions and Bluetooth.
I have had many 60% keyboard’s in the past however, this is my best one yet! Highly recommend this keyboard and it is totally worth it at it’s price point!!!!
