Hyundai 550W Electric Clean and Dirty Water Submersible Water Pump / Sub Pump
The HYSP550CD is an electric submersible water pump from Hyundai, suitable for easily and automatically pumping both clean and dirty water up to 7 metres deep. Ideal as a hot tub pump, fish tank pump, swimming pool pump or to clear ponds, puddles or bodies of water built up due to rain, this sub pump is suitable for a huge range of uses, including draining flooded basements, pits, ditches and foundations.

Good bit of kit from a trusted brand. I use it to pump water in/out my swimming pool via the propane heating system. Its a robust bit of kit and shifts a fair volume of water very quickly.
The drain plug from our hot tub empties the tub in hours, this pump empties it in about 30 minutes. So I am happy. Wish it would do the last 5cm but alas no. So, some scooping is still involved.
I bought this to drain my inground swimming pool in the winter. With all the rain we’ve had it’s proved a very good investment. It’s easy to use and does the job perfectly.
Emptied my 7 seater hot tub within the hour, variable height base let me get the water level to about an inch. Previously draining the tub by gravity took over a day. Excellent build quality. Unfortunately the hose was 2 metres short but managed to get a 32mm dia 10m long lay flat hose for under a tenner.

Used to pump water from well to irritate garden during dry summer.

Nothing to dislike about the pump but the hose that came with it was a flat pack which was totally unsuitable for the pump location so I had to purchase a new length of hose as well. But still, a very good price for what I wanted to do.
Works very nicely. During the drought here in the UK, I’m using this to pump water from the well in our garden. Maybe the hose could be a bit longer, but given the price it is very good value.
A small glitch was that part of the output connector was missing from the box but this was quickly replaced
It has made life much easier to drain my pond (water changes) , only problem i found was discharge hose could do with being longer and a little bit wider.
