I bought this to replace a 60% keyboard which was a horrible purchase for me as a software developer.

This keyboard’s quality is the best I’ve seen of any off-the-shelf option.

    It’s sturdy.

It sounds good without being obnoxiously loud.

Typing on it is a dream.

Everyone who sees it comments on how cool it looks.

It’s quite heavy because of the weight embedded in it. This is a good thing in some regards, as it doesn’t move while you’re typing, but it’s weight combined with it’s relative bulkiness for the layout it has makes it less portable than it could be. I still take it with me, so it’s not the end of the world.

I can’t speak to using it on Windows or MacOS, but it doesn’t work during boot on my T420; I have to type my EFI password and disk encryption password on the laptop keyboard. Possible there’s some bios option I need to change. Update: Yep, bios setting was the issue.

It does work with my Pinephone, including for typing the disk encryption password on boot.

The function keys don’t work by default on the latest Linux kernel version with a wired connection. This isn’t the fault of the keyboard; there is a driver regression. The hid_apple kernel module needs the option fnmode=2. On an up to date systems based distro, this can be achieved by creating a text file named ‘hid_apple.conf’ with the content ‘options hid_apple fnmode=2’ in ‘/etc/mod probe.d’ and rebooting.

Had this keyboard now for a few weeks and have to say that for the price its a great keyboard!

Keys are well made, switches are genuine cherry mx and the build quality of the deck is superb and solid.

Have been using it via Bluetooth and only charged it once so far and its on for 7hrs a day.

Has everything you need. This is the best pre made keyboard I have tried way better than Corsair k70 MK2. Any big brands. The only issue is if you use it with the dongle and turn on RGB it will only last about 2 days but without RGB it will last a week 8 hours a day. Or maybe opt for the Bluetooth mode.

I love this Keyboard, I’ve had my eye on it for awhile and just pulled the trigger as it went on sale. I have the Cherry Blue Switch version with RGB and I have to say it looks and sounds amazing. I use this mainly for gaming and the Blue switches work fine.
This will probably be my main Keyboard for a very long time 🙂

I have an L80 but wanted another 80% board to mod and I like the layout of this keyboard and the transparent housing.

The height works well with a wrist rest and the angled F row means everything is in easy reach. I wanted an ISO layout (the other board I have is ANSI but muscle memory prefers the big enter key) and this was the perfect set up as better housing than the Keychron alternative and the multi connectivity means I can use it on my Mac and PC with just a flick of 2.4 – bluetooth.

Have swapped the cherry reds in the housing (which was the cheapest version of the board) for lubed gateron milky yellows which makes for a great sound and feel to the keyboard (which has a good plate and base) . The cherry reds were actually pretty good on arrival and would have been fine if I didn’t want something a smoother. The stock switches are also a little noisy, but they are lubed particularly on the stabilisers. Also swapped the keycaps for PBT doubleshot.

The swap was easy, there was no damage to the board from pulling the switches and any issues with the replacements were with the new switches (a few defective ones) vs the keyboard itself. The one downside of this board compared to the L80 I also have is that this one uses Costar stabilisers which are more fiddly to change than cherry ones. They can also have bit more echo but actually are fine on this example. More recent boards have cherry stabs and they are easier to swap keysets on. But these were ok in the end.

Now my new daily driver. Comfortable to type on and makes a great sound too.

Even used as stock, this was a great board to type on and the laytout is compact and comfortable to use. I prefer a different keyset but that’s a personal choice and you could swap the keys without switches very easily if that was your thing.

Recommended if you want to use it as standard, very easy to change if you want to do a little customisation.

The first reaction of anyone who has picked this keyboard up has been ‘oof’. Although this is a shorter keyboard, with no number pad on the side (something that won’t please all gamers) it is astonishingly heavy for a keyboard. Easily the heaviest keyboard I have ever held. This does give it good stability in use, but is a lot less desirable for purposes of travel. Even though the battery life is great, this is easy to recharge (USB-C) so I’m unconvinced by the extra heft.

The keyboard is obviously well-made. The housing is robust. The keys are sensitive and provide good feedback. Iqunix is not a brand anyone in my family had heard of before but Cherry, whose switches this includes, are a well-established name associated with great performance.

The clear housing is a really attractive feature – it enhances the visibility of the light show, and being able to see in to the circuitry is pretty neat. It’s not a smooth, shiny clear finish – there is a bit of texturing, the finish is matte, and the plastic is really thick.

I’m not a big fan of click keyboards (I prefer the quiet of a membrane board), but I did appreciate the fact that this one includes swappable keys for use with a Mac. My OH loves a click board, and rated this one pretty highly – his negative comments pertained to the weight making this a less desirable board to travel with, despite its wireless design, and the fact that this is a board with a single, fixed height. The keyboard is a fairly deep, raised wedge shape with no height adjustment capability.

The keyboard comes with a charging cable and a wireless dongle. The dongle has an integrated storage space on the top of the keyboard. There’s a little lift-off green plastic cover (with magnetic attachments), and the dongle slots in neatly beneath this. I don’t think much of the cover for the dongle storage. The magnets don’t hold particularly well. We’re not intending to use this as a portable keyboard, but for desktop only (it’s too heavy), so this isn’t a particular issue (and to be fair the dongle clips into place solidly enough) but on a board that’s virtually 200 I feel that this should be better.

This keyboard arrived extremely well packaged in a hard-sided card box. The keyboard was wrapped in a plastic bag (legally required for items with built-in rechargeable batteries), but also had a moulded plastic tray protector – a use of plastic which didn’t seem particularly necessary.

Lots of positive features, though astonishingly heavy

    “Long Story Short”

    All fantastically designed and manufactured
Keys are very responsive and clicky
Keyboard is durable and will survive even toughest gaming sessions
I like design, very ergonomic and typing for hours is a pleasure.
Absolute hats off for designer and manufacturer, great quality and performance
    Not an ordinary keyboard

Value for money 10 out of 10

This keyboard is extremely robust and heavy which explains the price! The keys however are very clunky which makes you almost feel like you’re using a typewriter which isn’t brilliant.
From the research I’ve done on keyboards, the “Cherry MX Browns” are very desirable keys to have for gamers but I wouldn’t say it’s the best for a home or office PC as it’s so loud it can be quite distracting/frustrating to yourself, others around you, or even on calls.
I was using it on a teams meeting and had to put myself on mute as all you could hear was me typing.
The lighting on it is really nice. The bluetooth set up was plug and play. It just automatically connected. It can also be wired and both work just as well. Battery life so far has lasted a couple of weeks which is great.
Actually using this gaming I found it was much higher than my previous keyboard making my wrists go at a funny angle. I feel it needs a wrist rest to take your hands up to a more comfortable level.
It does seem expensive when you can purchase well known brands for similar money.

    Robust but little awkward

    Good keyboard, works well.
It is a little bulky but looks really good when the lights are on – using FN pg up, down and home to work them.
The spacebar was a little fiddly to change.
Comes with extra green keys for using with MAC.
Came with a lot of packaging but this ment it was well protected.

    Happy with this keyboard.

I needed a wireless keyboard for downstairs when I cast my PC to my TV and this looked to be a good offering.

This is a pretty well built and sturdy keyboard, with wireless or USB C connections. The wireless works well and even downstairs I can use this will no delay which is good. Would I want to use it this far for competitive gaming? No. But for general use it is fine.

The RGB looks good and the switches are nice too. They seem to be genuine Cherry browns and are hot swappable too, which is good!

Overall this is a nice keyboard but I don’t think it is worth the cost. With it being an unknown brand, it would be hard to say this was worth the 200 price tag, but if you really do like it then it is a good board.

    A good keyboard, but pricey

his is the 2nd mechanical keyboard I got this one because it has a lot of features that I like. I like the backlight, the fact that I can connect it in 3 different ways to my computer and that I can switch connections with a combo key press and an enormous battery life. I have only connected via the 2.4 wireless interfaces and it takes just one single keypress to wake up the keyboard from sleep.

What I can say is that the sound is very pleasing and typing feels nice compared to my laptop keyboard or modern keyboards (I am using this mechanical one to type this review). The key presses are very uniform throughout the keyboard. Very easy key combos for switching Bluetooth connections from one computer to another. Very easy key combos for switching backlight colour, pattern and brightness.

The only thing I wish it was full size with the number keypad as well because that’s what I have been used to but this compact size is growing one me. one bad thing there’s a lack of user customisable software for this keyboard The battery is of a 4000mAh large capacity and can provide a long use between charges.
Its easily swappable Bluetooth or wireless dongle connections make it perfect for use with multiple PCsGreat

I’m not a mechanical keyboard enthusiast and this is my first mechanical keyboard (not considering the ones I used back in the 90s when I first started using computers). I got this one because it has a lot of features that I like. Since I’m not an expert in mechanical keyboards, I wanted one that just works out of the box. I looked at another reviewer (video) that was posted on the manufacturer’s website that reviewed the keyboard and this is a great one for people that just works and needs nothing. I would check out the video for more details (lots of which I am not familiar with or can give any expert advice on).

    Would definitely recommend

I absolutely love the look and feel of this keyboard. The build quality is superior and the typing feels like typing in a premium typewriter. It looks very fun and very unique. Style-wise it is not going to be to everyone’s liking.

Not a gamer, so I’m using it for typing, but it’s got a very satisfying click. Very easy to connect to your laptop via wireless, or wired using a switch at the base to toggle between the two modes. There is also a Bluetooth connection to multiple devices. This is useful if you have a laptop, phone or tablet that you are using, once each device is paired with Bluetooth you can quickly swap between them.

The construction is all plastic, but it has a nice weight and feel to it. The keyboard is fairly heavy. If I carry it in my laptop bag, I can feel it is there. It is also fairly bulky. This is a positive thing in some ways because the keyboard is robust and usable as a desktop keyboard.

It comes with spare keys and a tool to replace any damaged key which is absolutely brilliant. The overall typing experience is good and you can get used to typing fast very quickly. The keyboard has Built-in dynamic RGB effects with 7 modes to choose from. Not sure why every keyboard with RGB lighting is classed as a gaming keyboard. My husband is an avid gamer and he doesn’t care for the RGB effects.

Overall, this is a well-made quirky keyboard that offers a unique design and experience. If you’re looking for something to liven up your dull computer setup then you’re looking in the right place!

    Beautiful looking with outstanding features

When you take the box for this keyboard out of its Amazon carton, you begin to appreciate just where all the money that you have spent on the keyboard goes. It all oozes quality, with a beautifully packaged box, with all the accessories that you could wish for included, and with a keyboard that is really, really solid (my old Apple magic keyboard weighs 322 grams, this weighs 1143 – over three times more). The weight ensures that there is zero flex while typing, which for me makes a real difference to how accurately I can type. It does, of course, mean that flinging it into a backpack for use while on holidays is pretty much a non-starter.

My speed increased significantly once I started using this keyboard (despite the fact that I am rubbish at typing), since the key actions are so positive and the caps are so clearly marked. I still don’t aspire to touch typing speeds, but I know that with this keyboard I’m a lot faster, with an awful lot fewer typos.

There were a few hiccups getting started since the quick start guide is kind of minimalistic. It only took about 2 minutes to mostly get up and running though, and I went online to pick up their hints and tips which all seem to centre around the Fn key to the right of the space bar.

Toggle the switch underneath to the “wireless” position, press Fn plus 1, go to Bluetooth pairing on your device, select the keyboard name, and you’re away. It can pair with up to 3 Bluetooth devices, and the 2.4Ghz wireless connection (press Fn plus 4 then plug in the mint coloured dongle into the side of your laptop and it will be recognised and you can start using it at the fastest speeds), and also USB C hard wired connection if that’s the way you roll. This ONLY worked with the manufacturer supplied cable – I also tried four others but none of them worked with it. That’s kind of limiting since I normally work in two different locations and carry my keyboard back and forth between them, leaving the cable plugged in at both places, but that isn’t feasible if the keyboard only works with the specific wire supplied by the manufacturer.

I couldn’t find a way to turn the keyboard off, so I just toggled the switch underneath to “wired” to turn off the Bluetooth / 2.4Ghz connection, and used Fn plus Del key to turn off the backlighting.

The keyboard is very responsive with an 8Ms response time in Bluetooth mode and 1 ms response time in wired and 2.4Ghz mode. If you’re into gaming, you’ll want to use 2.4ghz or wired, but if you just want to surf and type, then Bluetooth is perfect, and it’s great being able to have the PC, iPad, Surface tablet, and phone all use the same keyboard and toggle betwen them using a keystroke combination.

Despite the key cap labelling, it uses the Mac mappings when typing on an iPad. In practice, this doesn’t have a significant impact other than Shift 2 giving the @ sign and shift comma giving ” symbol – other than that everything seems fine. It does have one lovely extension to Mac mappings which is a forward Del key up at top right of the keyboard, and you don’t realise just how much you miss it on Mac keyboards until it’s available again.

Unique key mappings that I have found so far include

Fn plus Del to turn backlight on and off

Fn plus page up to turn up keyboard brightness

Fn plus page down to turn down keyboard brightness

I’ve been online and looked for various reviews of this keyboard done by keyboard nerds (yes, that is a thing) and every one I have found so far has been complimentary about the device. The cherry brown keys work well for me – they’re a bit noisy, but very very positive, and as I said earlier, I feel to be a more productive typist when using them.

The backlighting is stunning with a huge array of colours and effects. Having said that, I finished up with a steady mint green light to match with the space bar – boring but pleasant, with zero distraction potential.

If you’re in the market for a high quality keyboard and don’t mind paying a little extra for it, this keyboard can be recommended. Shame about the wired aspect, though
