Its not too thick, quite heavy at first but you get used to it.
If you like a bit weight to help you sleep, stop your knees from jumping. Also good so the other half can’t attack you in the night. you need a small crane to remove this.
I bought this product due to long term insomnia, having heard of the benefits of weighted blankets.
Since using this blanket, I have noticed an improvement in my sleep pattern. I am waking up less often in the night and when I do wake, I fall asleep more easily than I did before.
The blanket itself is heavy but not enough to restrict movement if you really want to get out from under it, the material is soft and feels well made, and the neutral colour goes well with my existing bedding.
It did get slightly too stuffy when placed over a winter duvet but I found swapping the winter tog for a summer version improved this significantly.
Would recommend for anyone looking for a non-medical alternative to sleep issues.
Says king size but does not fit over a double bed because of this it does not keep the warmth in. Has helped sleep and the weight is good just wish it was bigger.
Great product for anxiety and calming. However , can get slightly uncomfortable at times when sleeping due to the heavy weight. But has improved both my anxiety and sleeping pattern! Would recommend
The blanket is the exact dimensions of a super king and doesn’t over hang at all at the edges, so need to keep that in mind.
The blanket is pretty heavy when held as a single piece but when it’s over the two of us the weight is extremely comforting.
I use a fitbit often and wear it during my sleep, I noticed a significant increase in recorded sleep quality when we started using the weighted blanket. The main thing I noticed would be that it really minimised my fidgeting and I was able to fall to sleep faster.
The two downsides I didn’t expect though, unlike a normal blanket it is next to impossible to kick the blanket down the bed if you accidentally drag it up by rolling. The other is if the other person pulls it whilst rolling over, say goodbye to your side of the blanket. I think the second is mostly down to the blanket not being designed to hang over the edges so there is no surplus to defend.
Finally, the blanket adds a surprising amount of warmth, through this cold spell in Jan ’21, I’ve not used anything else other than this blanket.
Ultimately, I would and already have recommended this to friends.
Treat yourself if you love sleep.
Nice , comfy and cosy blanket. When I used it for the first time it soft touch and keeping warm ability is the feature I like the most about it. Worth trying it.
I love this weighted blanket warm and cosy, very comforting still getting use to sleeping with it but this will take time as I am also on medication that disturbs my sleep. Definitely would recommend this item as I am an autistic adult with mental health issues.
The customer service that I received from the company I bought it from was awesome because at the beginning I had an issue with it not being delivered. But contacted the seller directly explaining that I still wanted the blanket but had to reorder as it got lost. I explained that when I 1st ordered it was at special price. They were amazing and still let me have it for that offer.

Ordered the king size, however, sizing was slightly smaller than advertised and not the size of a king size duvet, but a king mattress so quite a bit smaller than I was hoping for. Also confused as I wanted to order the cover for it but the same size (in cm) was described as a double!
Overall though quality seems good, having the first night sleeping under it so will see in the morning if it helps with sleeping.
Bought this for my partner for when he stays, as due to anxiety and other mental health conditions he likes a heavier duvet. It works a treat for him! It’s big enough and heavy enough for just him, perfect for what’s needed, and helps him feel settled while using it.

I was never sure about weighted blankets but it really does work for me.
It’s large – covers my double bed completely. It looks light but is so heavy.
I think it helps a lot. I sometimes take a long time to fall asleep or I’ll wake up at 2/3am and struggle to fall back asleep.
I haven’t had those struggles since purchasing this blanket. I fall asleep quite quickly.
I only use it to sleep. During the day I’ll fold it to the end of the bed so that my body associates it with ‘sleep time’. Not sure if that actually does anything.

It is difficult to judge as my sleep pattern can change from day to day and week to week. However since getting this Jaymag weighted blanket I do seem to be sleeping a lot better.
The balnket its self looks lovely and is well made. It is heavy to lift. The weight is evenly spread and you would never know that it contains lots of glass beads. All in all it is very good value for a quality weighte blanket. I am happy I bought it.

I was gifted this blanket for Christmas 2019. I can say that my sleep has improved massively and prefer sleeping under my blanket than without now. It also helps with my anxiety, I have panic attacks and while being under this blanket I found it helped to calm me down as I shake and even helped me get to sleep when it got really bad.
Can’t recommend enough. It’s so easy to keep clean as well and the bag that it folds away into a super easy to carry around.
I bought the 9kg one and it is pretty heavy, but not too heavy. It’s quite a workout if you need to carry it around, but when it’s spread over you it feels grounding and comforting.
The material is a nice smooth grey fabric which is soft and non-abrasive against the skin. The glass beads inside are very evenly distributed, so there isn’t one side or corner heavier of thicker than any other.
My only concern is I’m not sure how it can be washed — I’d imagine it would ruin any washing machine. I think there are special covers you can get that are made to fit, so I may invest in one of them if I find myself using it quite often.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend this blanket to people who prefer to be weighed down when they sleep or lie down. I can get quite anxious and I feel this works of alleviate some of that.
I bought this for my 8 year old daughter to help her to sleep. Even as a baby she wouldn’t go to sleep, getting her to sleep was a battle. Up until we bought this blanket she wouldn’t go to sleep, she’d always fight it, even if she was tired. On a school night she wouldn’t go to sleep before 930, sometimes until after 11pm. The first night with this blanket she was asleep by 930! Which was marvellous for us. She cuddles into her blanket making comforting sounds as though she was pleased to be in bed. The blanket must give her the comfort hug that it’s designed for. I check on her before going to bed and in the morning; the blanket is still on her.
At the moment it is in a single duvet cover to keep it clean. I will be investing in the Jaymag cover very soon.

My weighted blanket was only a few days coming.When it arrived I was a little surprised how heavy it was but once I unfolded it and put it on my bed was delighted with the result…a good night’s sleep..
Bought this for my teenage daughter as she sometimes had difficulty falling asleep. Since she has used this blanket she says she feels like she is cuddled to sleep. She’s is a lot more settled.
It is fantastic quality & the fleece cover I bought with it fits perfectly!
At first I was sceptical. But this has changed the way I sleep. I’m usually tossing and turning throughout my sleep, however this has now stopped. I usually get a bad shoulder because I have a bad habit of sleeping with my right arm up above my head. This has helped with this greatly as the weight restricts my arms (in a good way). Give it time to work and you will not be dissapointed. This is by far the cheapest one I could find but it appears to be very well made. With no leakages or dodgy seams!
Bought a lighter version of this for my son who has anxiety. It worked well so bought this for hubby, he now sleeps with it all the time and being on shifts it really helps him to settle when needing to sleep in the daytime.
This blanket takes a few nights to get used to but I am now sleeping better than I have in years! Ever so slightly smaller (narrower) than expected but other than that, it’s perfect!
it was hard to lift it as I am a small oldie lady felt like I was carrying a python up stairs hahha.put on my bed above my own duvet it wraps it self around the body like a big bear hug which I felt very snuggly in. went to sleep for a fw hrs like I do as I don’t sleep long ever .. woke up 7 hrs later I had been asleep all night first time in six months have slept all night since I got it.. don’t know how it works but it does..quite weighty on my legs have got used ot that now.. pleased I came across it on amazon as never heard of it before. I believe their is dog jackets which does the same..
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting any miracles in the form of: “Omg, I slept the whole night through for the first time!” And I was right, it didn’t happen. My first feeling was more like: “Omg, this is so heavy, no wonder people who bought this find it hard to get out of the bed all of a sudden.” :)) It’s been two weeks now and I don’t want to sleep without it ever again. Occasionally I have to, for example, when I visit my parents or when I travel, but this is my holy shelter now and I look forward to going to bed again in the evening from the very moment I rise in the morning. I do fall a sleep much faster and even though I still wake up at night (about twice per night, mostly due to my small bladder), I find it much easier to fall back asleep. The weight of it is comforting, soothing and relaxing. I do recommend that you choose the suggested percentage of your own weight. I weight 130 pounds and I have the 15-pound blanket. It’s not too hot and not too cold. It’s just right and I hope you can enjoy it as much as I do. It’s an awesome “gadget” for us anxious sleepers. 🙂
I bought this for my husband who has been experiencing very broken nights. He loves it! The blanket is very well made. The first night he got too hot so now has the weighted blanket in a duvet cover under his ordinary duvet so the top duvet can be kicked off. It is heavy so takes a wee bit of getting used to. However he finds it really comforting and has slept better since having it.
Loved the softness and comfort once it was put on me it was great until I had to move, way too heavy to move off and put back on when on my own. That’s only reason I’ve down stars cause of it been heavy. Fibromyalgia sufferer

It is so much better than my old weighted blanket: double bed size instead of single, better weight distribution with smaller squares (feels lighter to move, even though it is slightly heavier, because it is less bulky) and so soft.

Took a risk purchasing a weighted blanket but I’ve suffered for years with not sleeping, while it does take some getting used to I found in the begining I was falling asleep faster but not for as long but after a few weeks I got used to it while my sleeping is better it’s not where I’d want it to be, it doesn’t feel too heavy I have the 20lbs one it’s been a godsend in this cold weather as it’s kept me nice and toasty warm ( not sweaty warm ) I wouldn’t be without it now and feel for me it was worth the purchase

I bought this as an Xmas present for my partner as she suffers with sleep anxiety and is very easily disturbed whilst sleeping, this had affected our home life to the point where we slept in separate beds. Having received the blanket she has stated she loves it! The weight means she’s tucked in nicely and there is never a draft ect so she’s always warm, her sleep has improved massively and she’s getting much deeper sleep now. We’ve been able to share a bed again which is amazing, she feels more rested and less anxious after using it.
Only gripe she mentioned is that all the beads inside the blanket move so if she turns to one side they all slope to one side instead of having an even spread. Although they are held inside small pockets so this isn’t a huge issue in itself.
Amazing. Was dubious about this blanket working but it is amazing. I suffer anxiety & was going through a difficult spell with it so purchased this blanket as a last gasp attempt to help with sleep. I slept better from the first night and sleep improved the following nights too. Would def recommend.
Very comfortable if you like pressure during sleep. Lovely for me but my wife said it made her feel claustrophobic. Personal choice really.
I’ve had this for about a month and I thought it would be an instant result. The weight of the blanket takes a while to get used to but does help you feel secure. However I think that this is a slow-burner and I am expecting to see positive results over months rather than days (as I was expecting). Also, it is not a ‘magic blanket’ and one needs to pay attention to other aspects of one’s sleep hygiene. Worth adding to one’s arsenal of sleep aids.
I bought the single size. My husband and I sleep with it draped horizontally across us both and we both feel an enormous difference and would miss it if we gave it up. Hubby says I thrash around far less and I feel far more rested each morning. Every member of our 7 person extended family wants one. It is great for power naps. I got a fancy crushed velour single duvet cover to go over it and it looks part of the bed set. FANTSTIC PURCHASE!
I purchased this for my teenage son who has always had difficulty sleeping without ever really knowing why. He just didn’t settle and would wake several times in the night and nearly always wake up tired. This ‘is the most amazing blanket’ were the words my son said after his first nights full sleep. He has been using it now since Christmas Day and is waking up feeling refreshed and ready to go, and in a much better mood, which for me is ‘amazing’. When it arrived I thought it was incredibly heavy but once you spread it out the weight distributes. It is quite soft and comfy. He has chosen to use it under his current duvet rather than on top, but I guess either would work. I would certainly recommend this without hesitation. Long may it last.

If you suffer from anxiety or any sensory disorder, try it. You spend a good portion of your life in bed and while 80 for a blanket is steep, quality of sleep is so important.
I don’t regret my purchase but I feel like it could be a little cheaper. Does seem like good quality stitching too.

The blanket arrived and I was so excited to try it out first night I was a little disappointed as it didn’t feel heavy enough so the second night I decided to fold the blanked so it was double on me and I loved it, the pressure I wanted but the blanket was then half the size
I put a lot if effort into deciding witch one would be best if me and still got it wrong but i am so glad I didn’t choise the 5-7.5kg one that was recomended as i would have been extreamly didsapointed
I do wish I had ordered the 11kg one so I’d have size and weight but I’ve made mine work for me I do think it’s down to personal preference.
I struggle to fall asleep and stay asleep on average 4-6 hours of poor quality I suffer with anxiety and can’t switch my brain off second night with this and 7 hours of solid sleep (deep light and rdm) not once did I wake up
I am a genuine reviewer, a mum with a 6 year old boy that struggles to settle at bight.
I always like the feel of heavy blankets in bed, they make me feel secure and comfy. When I heard about this blanket I really wanted to get it for my young son who often gets up several times before falling asleep and can be restless in the night.
I was really surprised at how heavy it is, it takes a bit of getting used to, but it really is affective. My son loved it right away and the weight of the blanket seemed to help him to settle faster and he was noticeably less agitated. I have Also use the blanket myself, and personally I love the feel of it as well as the quality and value for money. Highly recommended!
I really didn’t expect this to work but my sleep was so poor that I was ready to try anything. It took some adjusting at first to the feeling of weight but my sleep quality has definitely improved markedly and I find the blanket very comfortable now.

I’m really impressed with the quality of the blanket, it’s well made and the weight is distributed evenly. I’ve used this both in summer and autumn, I was worried I might not be able to use it in the hot weather, but surprisingly it was quite cool in summer and is keeping me warm in the autumn – I use it with a fleece blanket to make it a bit more cosy because they’re warm without adding any weight. I strongly recommend buying a cover for this as washing it is a nightmare – it’s already very heavy, imagine that when it’s wet.
Weighted blankets can take a bit of getting used to, especially for people who don’t like change. If you’re serious about wanting one but are worried about not being able to adapt, keep in mind that you are entitled to a refund from Amazon if you’re not happy. Try it out for a few days and see how it goes.

5 days on now and i actually look forward to going to bed to git an all night hug from my blanket, I used to get clammy skin with my duvet but no nothing and keeps me perfectly warm just right all night and I’m all ready sleeping so much better than before, I suffer from schizophrenia, anxiety, clinical depression, and more and for me this is really helping my sleep and would never be without it, highly recommended.

I have ADHD and find it difficult to relax sometimes as I always feel I have to be on the move. Even when I watch tv, I have to be doing something. It’s hard for me to sit still.
I’ve found that this blanket gives me the sensory input I sometimes need, allowing me to relax much easier. I’ve been sleeping with it on top of my duvet most nights… first few nights I kicked it off, but once I got used to it, it really improved my sleep. I get off to sleep much quicker, and feel well rested in the morning.
Bought this when it was on offer. Quality was great but it was very heavy. Actually too heavy for our use but that’s certainly not a fault of the product.
I ordered this in the hope it would help me sleep better. I believe it helped me fall asleep quicker, however, I still woke up in the middle of the night and I didn’t fall asleep quickly as some reviews state. Its a good quality product, well made and looks lovely, but I did find that because it’s shiny material, it slipped off through the night and took some pulling back up because it’s heavy.
I was disappointed that it didn’t work for me, but I don’t necessarily think it’s the blanket at fault. Definitely worth a try if you struggle with poor sleep as they do work for some people – just sadly not me.
Purchased for my wife, she opened it on the sofa, laid under it and was literally dozing off in 20 minutes. She uses it every night now and swears by it. Highly recommended
I never write reviews but I am so happy with this blanket I thought I would share. The quality of fabric and stitching is excellent. The sensation of the weight is very soothing. My daughters love it. (They can’t have it). Normally I toss and turn for some time before sleeping but I fall asleep very quickly and wake up in the same position. Although the initial outlay is more than you would pay for a quilt I am sure it will last for years so is good value. I love going to bed.

Great blanket, bought for my 12 year old son who suffers from very high anxiety. He has settled to sleep much quicker at night and has a much more settled sleep as a result.
Bought for my 11 year old child who is autistic and small for his age. Was a bit worried it might be too heavy for him, but been looking for one for a long time and they’re very expensive so was delighted with the price of this one and glad I bought it. Its not too heavy, its warm enough, fits into the single duvet cover, and my son absolutely loves the feeling of security it gives him. He is going to sleep a lot quicker and having a much better night’s sleep.
Amazing product at an amazing price. I have anxiety, High Functioning Autistic Spectrum Condition and restleast leg disorder. The blanket really helps. You can put it in a duvet cover to make the covering perfect for you. If it is hot weather I just put it on my legs and have a soft sheet on top. My daughter (1 aged 8) nieces. (4 aged 10, 14,19 and 21) and nephews (11 and 14) cannot stop playing ‘wrap the burrito’ with this blanket. They all get the gravity blanket squash in a quiet room if the get into a bad space.
I have asperges and never knew about these blankets but on reading about them realised why I liked heavy Blankets on me as a child I’m 62 now and was diagnosed 3years ago and I can honestly say this has helped tremendously. It is well made and as some are over double the price this is great value and I highly recommend it.

Great item and not too sure how the magic works – but it does! As well as the feelings of comfort and security it provided, I also found it helped with my body temperature – something I struggle with, under a normal quilt – keeping me cooler in the summer and warm when feeling colder. I would definately recommend inserting it in to a cotton duvet cover, though, as it feels just that little bit smoother against your skin if you do so. I haven’t had the need to wash it as yet, but it does say that it CAN be machine-washed, which I don’t see mentioned on any other of the reviews.
I spent a long time searching for a weighted blanket and decided on this one, the reviews are great and it hasn’t let me down. I struggle with insomnia and relaxation in general, whilst this isn’t stopping me from waking through the night, I am finding I actually feel as if I have slept when I wake, and getting out of bed really isn’t the worst thing in the world! It’s great for days when I feel anxious, and I make everyone who comes to my house try it. I love it.

When this came, I could hardly even lift it myself to even take out of the bag, but looked good quality from what I could see. If gave it too mads, might of crushed the poor mite; so had no option request return n refund…thnx Amazon.
Mentioned to mads Occupation Therapist, she said that the weighted blankets aren’t designed for using overnight, you only are meant to use them for about 30 mins at the most; maybe an hour in some cases to calm the young person.
Mads Occupation Therapist also mentioned that the weight has to be suited to the individual, b’cs if it’s not…. it could possibly do more damage than good.

I bought this to use when it’s too hot to use a duvet, as can’t sleep with just a light covering. It’s heavy but not hot and works very well.
The blanket arrived well packaged in a box. It is the size of a single duvet and fits nicely in a single duvet cover. It is well-made, quality of material and attention to details are great.
I’ve now purchased a second of these blankets. This one is a birthday present for my son, as he enjoyed mine so much when he borrowed it. I find it so much easier to get to sleep when I’m using it, and feel much better rested in the morning. I also use it when listening to meditative music. It helps me relax and still my busy mind. The weights are well distributed and its made of strong fabric.
I have laundered it once , on a hand wash cycle with Woolite, and had no issues. It dried quite quickly, draped over two chairs in the sunshine. The weights didn’t retain any extra water, but it’s is still a bit heavy for a washing line.
It is quite warm as there is a layer of wadding inside as well as the weights. I think it is a very good quality product and great value for money.
I’m delighted! Wanted a blanket like this for a while but most of those I’ve seen were a bit pricey. This one was on sale and I ordered straight away! The blanket in surprisingly heavy (well yes it’s suppose to be), goid quality and overall very pleasing. Had a nap under it today, slept well! It also arrived in 3 days.

I bought this for my daughter as a birthday present as I know she suffers a bit from anxiety. She told me that she is sleeping much better now since she started using it.
I wasn’t convinced the blanket would make a great deal of difference to my son’s sleeping patterns. We have struggled for many years to find anything to help. However since the blanket arrived he has slept for 6 straight hours several nights running. Fantastic, well worth every penny.
I have had better quality sleep since I have used the blanket and generally feel less anxious. It is good quality and fits into a single duvet cover (I have single size) without moving around in it. I think it is a good buy for thgose that have trouble with their sleep.
Night 1: woke once at 2am got back to sleep very quickly.
Night 2: woke at 4 am and got back to sleep quickly.
Night 3: slept through the night without waking. This has now become the new norm which is fantastic
Having always been a light sleeper, but worse recently I was looking for something to help me get to sleep quicker and stay asleep longer. I was a bit sceptical even after reading the reviews but the usual advice for getting a good nights sleep hadn’t helped so it was worth a try. It is surprisingly heavy and did take me a day or two to get used to. However, although I still don’t get a perfect sleep each night, this weighted blanket has improved it overall by at least 80%. I get to sleep quicker at the start of the night and if I do waken up during the night, I manage to get back to sleep again within minutes rather than hours. I am delighted I tried it. Thank you for such a great product.
Due to the weight of the blanket, you do feel snug under it. It didnt feel as heavy on the body as it did when you try pick the blanket up. I normally watch tv in bed for couple hours but genuinely , since using the blanket, I just want to close my eyes and sleep. I have slept like a deeper sleep. I think I will have to test sleeping without the blanket over the duvet to see if there is a difference but I really want to carry on using it.
You really need to order one to try it out for yourself to believe it.
