It’s light, ergonomic and you can lean on it like the best council worker – just kidding.
Worth the money rot proof handle.
It could become a family heirloom.
I have used and broken or bent plenty of cheap spades in the past. I bought this spade to dig out tree and large shrub roots and it worked very well.
Light enough to use for long periods but heavy and sharp enough to cut through roots as well.
Very strong spade and I used a lot of force when levering out the roots with no bending or adverse affects at all.
Not the cheapest spade but you get what you pay for and cheap spades just aren’t worth it in the long run.
Husband has used it to renovate garden and that includes digging up huge deep rooted hedges and and removing a full lawn. Shovel still solid and good as new. Heavy but that’s what you want. 100% recommended.
Replaced a cheaper one which broke at the handle to blade connection. This has been used in more arduous conditions and eats it.
Worth paying more for quality.
This shovel is light weight and I haven’t broke it get so all good. Good quality and everyone on site know this is my shovel
This has been a helpful addition to our garden tools. It is strong, which is something which is difficult to find in a fork these days.

This spade is solid. I have snapped a few over the years definitely impressed with this one.

perfect size for doing my bed.
Robust construction. Built like their excavators! Should last a lifetime. Excellent for narrow trenches, therefore less time to excavate, than with a conventional spade, and less material to use in reinstatement.
Have not tried it out yet as job has been put back will let you know in due course.
A little heavy,but we shall see how durable it is.
This was just what was needed as I had large amount of ground leveling to do ready for laying base for a shed. This spade is strong and sturdy!
