We used this in a park after it lightly rained. I was impressed that I wasn’t wet after sitting down. This fits easily in the washer and dryer. It is lightweight and simple to carry. It fits nicely in the car for those random moments of wanting to picnic. This was a little tricky to fold up as it’s not in half and in half again. Roll it tight and it will fit to close the velcro. My friends were impressed with this “nice looking” picnic blanket. It was large enough for us to sit comfortably.
Materials are good here. No issues with stitching or velcro. It is fairly convenient to have velcro built in for roll up. The velcro is a negative if washing in a typical washing machine and dryer as the velcro can cause harm to the blanket material. Overall this is a good blanket but I would have preferred the velcro piece to be separate. 4 stars.
I got a smaller version of this free from AAA. it proved to be pretty handy & useful. I recety got a portable Coleman shelter and thought this would be perfect to go with that for any occasion. I like that this folds up self secures with velcro and has a carry handle. This would make a terrific gift. I got the color that I think was called beige, but looked like it might be kind of green in the online photos. The beige color definitely has some sage green hue in person.
This blanket shipped well with minimal packaging. It emitted no weird odors or chemical-like smells.
The sizing is true at 79″x79″ inches. It is a bright cheery yellow and true white shade. The blanket features a wide strap for carrying by hand or over the shoulder. It keeps rolled up with a strong Velcro closure.
It is between thin and thick. There is a water-proof backing so if the ground is a little damp you won’t get wet sitting atop the blanket. It is perfect for sitting at the park, on the beach, and most other places you’d want to have a place to sit as well as a picnic.
I like how compact the blanket is. I found it not a hassle to roll out or back up when needed. It has enough space for my family of 5 ( 2 adults and 3 kids) to sit on and have other items spread out between us.
It is easy to keep clean by throwing it in the washer and tumble dry on low.
There are no loose strings, off-seams, or any other poorly constructed areas.

A good size, water proof 3 layers, much better than my old one that was 2 layers and the backing vinyl. Has a nice medium weight flannel cloth top. Stores easily, nice to keep in car as a picnic blanket, rain tarp or emergency blanket.
