I wanted a really nice deep tin for my Yorkshire puddings. I have the traditional shallow ones, but fancied a change.

I looked at quite a few different ones, but this seemed the better choice, both reviews and price.
It’s a really good weight & looks like it will last very well.
Gave it a wash & I was good to go. Put the batter in the oven & when I looked through the oven door 20 minutes later… I was astonished! I’ve never had such a massive rise in any pan. Same recipe I always use, so must be the tin!

I am so chuffed with this tin!

The Monfish Jumbo Deep Muffin Tin is well made, solid and, more importantly, seems to make decent muffins (obviously depending on the cook and the ingredients!).

There’s not all that much else to say other than it washes up easily without any issues even when you’ve slightly burnt the edges of the cakes (ahem!).

I’m reviewing the Monfish Jumbo Deep Muffin Tin – 6-Cup 3.5-Inch Muffin Pan, Carbon Steel with Non-Stick Coating – Bakeware with Black Granite Stone Finish – Extra Large Cupcake Tins for Baking – here are my thoughts:

This jumbo muffin tin and it is very deep. I use those big brown tulip muffin cases with these, partly because they look nice, and partly because I’ve always wanted to save my bakeware so they look good as new years later. But they are non-stick and I have experimented with them to see if they actually are, with no problems. Can happily recommend if you like your muffins on the large size!

This is huge! The muffin pans are very deep, probably twice as deep as an ordinary muffin tin. It is very good quality, free from any nasty toxic coatings and is well worth looking after as it will last for years. I have used it for cooking savoury egg muffins, the same method as you would make a crustless quiche, made with beaten egg, added to cooked onion, bacon, garlic, pepper and coriander which make a great carb free breakfast and these tins are a great size for these.
I treated it before use as per the instructions, by wiping the pans with a little butter before placing in the oven at low temperature for 5 mins, then wiping clean with kitchen roll. Doing this occasionally will keep the muffin tin non-stick. Very impressed with this, great results and worth the money.

I love this large muffin mould.

I followed the instruction to season it a bit before using it for the first time and it baked me lovely muffins without using extra oil or silicone paper to prevent the muffins from sticking.

The muffins just came loose and evenly cooked.

Very easy to clean. Soaking it is not recommended so I just used soft sponge an washing up liquid. There is no need to scrub, the mould is non stick so there was nothing sticking to it to scrub.

Heavy and well made. I definitely will use this muffin mould a lot.

This doubles as a great heavy duty muffin tin or as a good giant Yorkshire pudding tin too! Much heavier than I thought but this leads to good heat conductivity throughout the muffin and gives a good bake. Can’t fault this product. Just don’t drop it on your foot!

This deep deep muffin tin is a delight to work with. It feels thin and light, yet is very strong. The non-stick surface works perfectly, but it does need looking after properly to keep it that way. Easy to hand clean. We love the look of this tin and everything else about it. So good to be able to make extra large muffins for special occasions.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is THE deepest and largest muffin tin I have EVER seen . Sorry about the ‘Trumpian’ caps-lock, but I felt the need to really hammer in that point.

If you like a large helping or even a couple of breakfast muffins before you begin your day, then this is tailor-made for you. It works perfectly with the extra large tulip shaped cases purchased from Amazon – if you like to encase your muffins like I do. It makes them so much easier to eat and pack into a to-go box.

The entire is non-stick. Its a different type of non-stick to your usual teflon stuff, its more rigid and applied heavily giving the impression that it will last well.

    * My Sell-out Hit:

I made some mini candied fruit-loaded pannetones in this for a recent bake-off – the shape, size and structure (in the same cases as mentioned above), was a huge hit as they captured the essence of a large loaf of pannetone beautifully. They were very popular.

This muffin pan was my secret weapon. Needless to say, I shared the purchase details through gritted teeth to all who asked about the unique shape of my mini pannetones.

Was a little more pricey than other tins I’d looked at but I wanted something more heavy duty and deeper to make savoury tortilla muffin cups and this was spot on! Well worth the price!

This review concerns the Monfish Jumbo Deep Muffin Tin – 6-Cup 3.5-Inch Muffin Pan, Carbon Steel with Non-Stick Coating – Bakeware with Black Granite Stone Finish – Extra Large Cupcake Tins for Baking, price at review 15.99.

Manufactured from carbon steel coated with a non-stick surface offer a temperature range up to 446F.

Specifically designed to cook extra large muffins but also ideal for larger Yorkshire puddings.

Whilst the manufacturer states that baking cups are not required, their use does enhance the serving of the giant muffins!

Great quality bakeware, part of a full range I believe.

Boy, these are big muffins! Jumbo is the word and this tin has deep moulds for making big muffins. You’ll want deep muffin cases if you’re using those. Great quality on the tin itself, feels bombproof.

This is a large and sturdily made tin, the 6 cups are huge. I used a standard 12 muffin recipe and it only just made 6 so you’re getting really big muffins from it. Nothing seems to stick, I dropped mixture on the top of the tray and it just fell off, the muffins themselves came out of the tin with just a run round the edge of each with a plastic knife. It washes easily too. It’s not the cheapest tin but it is very good and it feels like it’s built to last. I can’t find any fault with it at all, would definitely recommend it.

    Excellent baking ti

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersA very large muffin tin, but as it’s so deep, could also be used to make towering Yorkshire puddings .
The muffin tin is made out of carbon steel, and a good heavy weight to them, with a non stick coating, so don’t use metal kitchen utensils in it, or put in a dishwasher (hand wash only)
You need to prepare the non stick surface, as you do with all non stick items, like saucepans, frying pans etc, to get rid of any factory finish. Just rub some oil or butter around the inside of the tin, and put in a low heat oven for 5 mins, then wipe off when you remove the tin from the oven. Do this at regular periods, to keep the non stick surface in tip top condition.
We decided to try out on muffins and the results were excellent, I thoroughly recommend these tins, and if looked after, will last for many years.

    Excellent results

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI already own a Monfish muffin tin and was very impressed by the superior quality, so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to order this XL version.

My first impression is that I have not seen a muffin tin this deep before, and I was pleasantly surprised at how deep the tins were. They will also be suitable for more than just muffins.

Like my other Monfish muffin tin this one is excellent quality and a little weighty, its stackable too which is a great space saving feature.

My muffins always cook evenly in these tins.

I will say that this tin is quite pricey, but price aside I can’t fault these tins and I’m sure they will last for many years to come.

    I would highly recommend them.

This is amazing. Its the best muffin tin i have ever had.

Its non stick and is so deep, but i dont use it for muffins. I dont know what you would call it but i make these egg things in them.

I put chopped sausage, chopped bacon, cheese, mushrooms, peppers, onions and then i cover that with whisked eggs. I then bake them in the oven at 150 for half an hour and serve with chips. They are bloomin delicious. You could put whatever you want in them really but its a firm favourite in my house. I even make my dog them but without the onions or mushrooms.

They slide out of the tin with minimal effort and the tin is super easy to clean.

    Brilliant.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe got a taste for muffins when we were on holiday in Canada some years ago and my wife bought a copy of one of the best selling Canadian muffin recipe books while we were there at the time — she still uses it regularly and this new muffin tin by Monfish has rekindled her interest in baking them. This muffin tin is extra large jumbo size and makes muffins for when you are really hungry — big fluffy blueberry, chock-chip or whatever you fancy. Although it says you don’t need to use baking cups my wife found some at Sainsbury’s that fitted this deep tin nicely and makes presenting the muffin at little bit more attractive. This muffin tin is much better quality than our old standard size version and seems well made from carbon steel with a tough non-stick coating — our muffins cook nicely with or without using baking cups. We didn’t know the Monfish brand before using this muffin tin but for around sixteen pounds currently from Amazon this is a top quality piece of bakeware that easily competes well against the major brands — five stars for what it offers at the price.

A deep jumbo muffin tin that performs well and offers good value for money

This is a superb muffin baking tray, heavy duty, deep and made from top quality materials. It comes with excellent instructions to care for it and prolong its useful life and how best to use it. It can’t be washed in a dishwasher, but is easy to clean.

When a standard muffin is not enough … make way for Jumbo muffins …

This Jumbo tin is really well made … good solid construction and quality non-stick coatings … though the advice is to hand wash , but because the coating is very good, it cleans in a jiffy …

I have a recipe for a hybrid between a scone and muffin … adding cheese to the mix can often lead to them being glued into the tin … but they knocked out very easily.

I suspect they can be used for lots of different recipes … I may even try Yorkshire puds.

Yes, I can confirm that this is an xxl muffin tin. In truth, I have never seen such a deep muffin tin!

It is deep and made of great quality, heavy duty carbon nonstick steel with a grey flecked granite finish. It does still require greasing before using, although the sides are pleasingly smooth. This is suitably heavy, robust and durable.

It cannot be washed in the dishwasher. Moreover, to prolong the integrity of the non stick surface, you are also advised not to soak this in water for a long time.

Please try making mini Spanish omelettes in this: it oven bakes these a treat!

    XXL muffin tin!
