Amazing piece of equipment. Very easy to use and I felt secure even at maximum length/height. I can strongly recommend.
I got this to use as a loft ladder and to do some outside jobs. Very happy with it. Takes my 90kg with no problem.
his is perfect for what i need, just a quick lift in to the loft, and pop it away.
what a well made and very strong piece of kit very easy to extend and retract and like the write up says watch your fingers when retracting great sturdy and strong plus secure good price
Using during renovation work. We took down a few chimneys so keep that in mind when I say the dust getting under the release tabs is a bit annoying. We are talking excessive brick dust and not your average DIY dust.
Has been good, it does feel a little more flexible than a fixed ladder, but that is to be expected.
Really good if you don’t have space to store or manoeuvre a full ladder.
Purchased this for use at sited caravan. Ideal because it is only a few feet long when collapsed. Very sturdy.
These extendable ladders are surprisingly good. I used to use a set of these when I fitted television aerials. Not to actually fit aerials, but for access into lofts and also securing cables at lower levels.
These ladders take up very little space and were easily stored in our Land Rover. When used properly, they are very stable and easy to use. We used this exact type of ladder very regularly and we found them to be easily up to the wear and tear of extremely regular use, being of good manufacture and sturdiness.
I hunted down these ladders for use around my flat in my retirement and wished that I hadn’t parted with my original set, when I retired, in the first place.
Used to remove and tooth out bricks before putting new bricks in. Not ideal for this but with limited space in my vehicle it work well enough. Would be brilliant for lite work but worked well for myself.
The ladder is great. It’s really strong and sturdy. I felt confident using it even when it was fully extended. It has a strong locking mechanism in between each tread which ensures it won’t collapse. When the ladder is finished with it folds up and so can be stored easily.
Like:- Just what was required for a loft ladder. Neat when closed down – sturdy, with wide rungs when opened up.
DISLIKE:- not sure what planet the author of the instructions was on. Missing letters and words throughout.
To be fair the ladder is straightforward and easy to erect/collapse so doesn’t need written instructions
Folds up to a convenient size. But you need to remember to keep your fingers away from the rungs when retracting the ladder!
Needed a loft ladder, which can be folded away for easy storage. Having had a larger, heavier telescopic ladder for some time, I liked the concept so thought I’d try this smaller version, and it’s perfect!
This 2.6 metre telescopic ladder is ideal: sturdy when extended, has a sensible size gap between rungs, is secure, yet collapses easily when required to around 75cm x 50cm for storage. It’s also light, easy to carry around and secured with Velcro straps for storage.
With this type of telescopic ladder, it needs to be collapsed with care, but once mastered, the system is excellent and saves a huge amount of space.
I bought these ladders to replace my fold up ladders to access my loft. These are so much better to use as my old ladders were so awkward to open on a small landing. Brilliant for what I need.
Bought in order to make sure a safer job of papering my staircase. Found them perfect for the job being able to adjust length as required. Felt safe in use and I am confident that there will be many more situations where they will come in useful.
Item arrived on due date and appears to be very sturdy and as described. I would say that it is heavier than I expected but not so much that it is a problem. Bought as a Christmas present so has yet to be used properly, but it seems fine to me.
Great ladder.
Only issue is that you need to extend 2 slats above where you will be standing for it to “lock in” place.
This means I have to extend it into the loft, climb it and then extend the last rungs while I’m on it (can’t do it on its side due to space restrictions).
Use it for loft access and to install a basketball hoop on the side of the house. A good sturdy and secure ladder.
Lightweight and takes up barely any space when collapsed.
Great for little spaces with no storage room, great quality
Excellent product, invested in a set after borrowing a friends for a decorating job.
I bought to get into my loft, works well, easy to store.
Very easy to use good safety instructions and convenient to store and manoeuvre
I got this for loft access. The guy who used it to check timbers (I.e. a pro) asked where I got it – he wanted one! It’s remarkably good.
Sturdy ladder and easily moved around. Easy to adjust and safe
Compact and so easy to use , sturdy and safe ideal
Was looking for a loft ladder. Ended up getting this as wanted something for garden to get up the the gutters to clear and clean windows. This is compact and not too heavy for the height it goes up to.
Would have cost me about the same to buy a loft ladder so glad I went for this optio
Great product, easy to transport and compactable to fit in any car boot.
Very sturdy on the ground and against surfaces at the top, both have rubber grippers.
Extends and retracts easily, locks into position automatically and feels safe when using.
This is a well- made product, using quality materials, would recommend it to anyone.
Good ladder got a rebate for damage works well so very
– I bought the 12.5 foot ladder, which is long enough to reach about half way up the house wall. Ideal for the job of installing some security cameras and associated wiring.
– It is far easier to use than a normal fixed ladder. It is flexible, but very sturdy and I feel more confident climbing this than the usual fixed aluminium ladder.
– it is heavy enough and the feet have enough grip to give real confidence in using it.
– Honestly, I’m scared of heights and felt absolutely fine using this to do work at the top of the ladder.
– It automatically locks as it extends and is easy to fold down again.
– Easy to store and folds down to maybe 2 feet tall.
I can’t recommend this highly enough (pun not really intended).
Great set of steps. easy to use and of decent quality. Ideal when you are short of space.
Been my able to fold away , perfect ,, Using it to get into the loft. Strong and sturdy.
I was quote impressed with this, and got access to the job where a conventional ladder wouldn’t. I had no problems extending or closing but be mindful of closing it. Time will tell on quality but so far so good.
Used it for getting into my loft great product easy to store
LIKED THE IDEA BUT NOT THE WEIGHT SUITABLE FOR PERSON OF REASONABLE FITTNES
Best thing iv bought, when fully extended seam flimsy but hard you securely
Bit shocked at the weight of the box, but you’ll get used to the weight of your ladders.. Strong and sturdy too..
Purchased this ladder for home use, unboxed it and read the instructions was up and using it in 5 min use around the home simple and easy to use.
I primarily use this product for going into our attic, but also found it useful outside while washing windows! It is very sturdy, doesn’t have any wiggle to it while using it. Very pleased.
All round good piece of kit at a good price.
Great value and exactly what a folding ladder should be.
Very pleased with this telescopic ladder. It’s easy to deploy and retract and, when closed, is small enough to store in a cupboard. Sturdy and stable, with a great reach.
Does what it says on the box. Arrived very quickly and is in good condition! Steps are fairly big between rungs – some may struggle with the step size. As some others have mentioned, it sometimes gets stuck when trying to collapse the ladder – nothing a lot of wriggling won’t fix but I can foresee this becoming an ongoing irritation.
This is a fine ladder with one caution. When lowering it the pieces tend to snap down very, very quickly so keep your fingers well out of the way. It’s also a tad heavy.
For the price I think this is good value, for occasional use. It took my 90Kg weight and felt very solid. My only issue is that on collapsing it you have to be very careful of fingers. The last section closes very quickly!
Easy to extend and use. Felt a little weak towards the top. But did the job and nice and compact to put away.
Beware when using in wet conditions though. I slipped off one of the steps luckily bottom one on to grass. There are no rubber grips on the steps. Just metal so slippy when wet. Also after getting wet the plastic clips that lock each step become stiff. Mind fingers too, when it drops down as release each step to put away it hurts like hell when you trap a finger (my fault) lol.
Truly great. Very solid; a bit scary when you’re collapsing it, you really need to keep your fingers away due to the weight of the sections, but it’s brilliant and I’m glad to have it. You need to be a bit careful when putting it up by doing a quick pull test every few rungs to check that they’ve all ‘clicked’, otherwise one side will snag as you start to climb past any that hadn’t clicked in – but this happens infrequently and is just one facet of using a ladder like this. Buy with confidence!
When we were discussing buying new ladders, we both had different ideas of where and when we’d use them; my partner was thinking outdoors, cleaning windows etc. I however was more interested in decorating, access to the attic, curtain hanging etc. So basically we needed ladders of multiple length, and the flimsy outdoor ladders and the step ladders used indoors definitely needed replacing.
After a search I found these ladders that can be adjusted to the different heights that we want, extending up to approx.10.5ft. I have purchased from this company ‘Nestling’ before, so was confident I would get a quality item at a reasonable price; which is certainly the case here. Outdoors they reach to the upper windows, and I we can adjust them by lifting up one rung at a time, before locking into place.
The base of the ladders has rubber caps to avoid sliding, and as long as we ensure the rungs are locked in place before putting a foot on them, they feel super secure, indoors or out. Now they are portable, but not as light as the aluminium step ladders, but as that makes them far more sturdy, we are happy with that. Lifting them up and carrying upstairs, for instance, is ease enough using both hands; and setting up and securing them, done in minutes.
We always seem to be short of is space; yes we have a shed and a garage but they are always full; so the fact that these ladders fold down into a compact flat pack is also very helpful.
Since we purchased them just over a week ago, they have been used numerous times, mainly by my partner outdoors, and have proved to be an excellent purchase. Strong, secure, compact for storage, and portable.
We are both really pleased with these multi length, and therefore multi-purpose ladders; recommended.
I bought the 2m version of this after years of balancing on wheel arches trying to tie down loads on my various vehicles. OMG! What a change. It folds to a very portable size, but unfolds to a full 2m height. This is ample to allow me to angle it safely while the top rests against my roof-rack. It’s light enough to move around the car with one hand and allows you to lean forwards without having to try to hang onto something to keep you in place. It is a very safe and convenient way of speeding up the process of securing luggage or loads to a car. My car is the Discovery Sport, so this 2m version should suit any vehicle in the medium 4×4 category. If I had the full size Disco, I would have gone for the 2.6m one, but I have no plans to change cars, so didn’t need the extra capacity or want the extra size to store away.
Wanted something for easy access to loft. Read loads of reviews and this one seemed to come out best, in my view,. 3.2m is plenty big enough for loft access and although there is some flex in the ladder when expanded it was nothing to worry my 10 stone body weight.
Safety first when you collapse the ladder. Each stage of the ladder is collapsed by sliding a catch at each side.of the step, with your thumbs. But remember to keep your fingers away from the steps as the ladder will collapse onto them and will be very painful.
I’m not one for writing reviews normally but I felt I had to on this occasion as this ladder is just plain brilliant! As a project for my reduced hours during COVID to 4 days a week, I decided to make use of this time to decorate the entire house which badly needed it seeing as my lovely man has absolutely no patience or interest in that matter for decorating himself… 🙂 Project has been on-going for 3 months now and upstairs plus half of downstairs is complete. My nemesis was always going to be the stairwell/hall/upper landing as I’m not massively tall for a girlie and we only have step ladders which would no way fit or reach the 3m height I needed. After research, I took the plunge and bought the 3.2m version of this ladder – so glad I did. It arrived very promptly, is actually really light to manoevre and pops up in seconds. When you use it, it does flex slightly – I’m 5ft 7 and 8.5 stones – but it’s not an alien feeling – you still feel secure. Consequently, it got me to the far reaches of the ceiling and walls for perfect cutting in with complete safety. Getting it back down is very simple if you do what the instructions tell you and there’s enough hazard warnings on each rung – close it with the locking buttons facing you and the warnings ensure you keep your fingers clear. Can’t rate this ladder highly enough – very impressed with my decorating finish as a result. Thank you!
I bought these to keep in an airing cupboard for easy access to our loft and I was sick of lugging traditional 2-way aluminium step ladders through the house and up the stairs. I wasn’t sure what size I needed and probably over-estimated but better that than end up with a pair too small.
This ladder is incredibly easy to set up (much easier than wrangling with my existing ladders) and although there’s a bit of flex when extended it certainly doesn’t feel unsafe. The rungs are wide and sturdy and it has good stable feet as well.
It is very easy to collapse down to its compact size but the warnings plastered everywhere to watch your fingers are very appropriate – it would be very easy to trap a finger as the rungs drop down and they do so with venom. I wouldn’t recommend letting kids use these! Once collapsed they fit nicely in the airing cupboard taking up much less space than a conventional ladder.
Overall though – absolutely great and does exactly what I wanted. Incidentally the week after these arrived I had builders in constructing a conservatory and I was pleased to see they had the exact same ladders so if its good enough for professionals they are good enough for me!
