This fan is great we’ve put it in our awning and the volume of air it moves if tremendous and our little dog flops down for a superb cooling time.
Bought this to use in my gym at home during the hotter months and it certainly makes a difference. It has three different speed modes but the first mode is more than enough. It is noisy but that is expected.
Let down by a bad 3-pin plug where the earth pin broke off in the socket. I had to attach a spare. Unfortunately, there’s no way to get into the plug – no screws, just a fuse holder – so I needed to cut it off.
A good fan otherwise, but could do with an extra slow/quiet mode, as even the lowest setting is quite loud.
Got this to use while on my bikes turbo trainer. Its class! Noisy but keeps me cool enough that i don’t leave a hugh pool of sweat by the time i’m done, therefore my wife is happy. Happy wife, happy life
The fan is not silent but it isn’t the motor or any part of the mechanism which makes the noise, it’s the amount of air being moved by the five blades which makes the noise. In anticipation of another hot summer, this fan will be a boon as it easily ventilates the rooms in my high ceiling Victorian flat. In addition to ventilation, this fan would be great in a gymnasium environment and would easily keep you cool if you were doing static exercises or running on a treadmill.
If you want or need a high airflow fan then I have no hesitation in recommending this 18″unit. It does make noise while it shifts huge amounts of air but you don’t get silent hurricanes either!!

My ancient AC unit isn’t energy efficient and is really only used on the hottest days, although came into it’s own on the 104 day this summer. When it’s in the 80’s, the fan is much better as the AC unit gets too cold. We moved this around the house as required (not really an option with the AC) and although it isn’t whisper quiet, the general physics of such big fan blades rotating at up to 2000rpm should lead you to manage your expectations.
It was really efficient at keeping the air moving. The trick of course is to have an inlet and an outlet of fresh air so it isn’t just recirculating the same stuffy air…. (see how Firefighters operate their fans to move smoke) the smoke being a visual indicator of how fresh air being drawn in expels the old warm air (smoke in the firefighters case). So used properly, a great fan that cooled occupied rooms and was used to pre-cool warm bedrooms before going to sleep.
This is a powerful fan, and have only used it on the slowest setting. However, it is relatively noisy (I have a fan the same size with three blades and this five blade fan is noisier, slightly disappointing, as the reason for buying it was that it stated that it was ‘silent’, which I took to mean quieter than most equivalent fans).
This is a wonderful bit of kit . It throws air round a large room with ease and very strongly. It is noisy however. If u can stand the noise it will keep you comfortable
I use this inside when it’s too hot and the fan works so well. I can sleep through noise and I have slept with this on full blast but it is very loud even in the slowest setting so if you need quiet to sleep, this probably won’t work for you at night.
If you’re too hot and want to get cool, this will work. It’s expensive but worth it.
Arrived just in time for the heatwave. No assembly needed and was very efficient.

Good size and got us through the recent heat wave. Paid around 70 and was skeptical but trusted the reviews and was not disappointed. Was under a blanket as this thing kept me cool at night. It’s nice to look at and not too noisy although I did struggle to sleep the first night as it made noises.. I think the floor may not be level as it’s sometimes noisier than other times so possibly not the products fault!

Everything is good about this fan, oscillation, power and speed controls, but the attached that fixes to the upriser is poor and fiddly. To be honest it let’s the unit down. Having said that I’ve given four due to the output.
More powerful than those weak ugly plastic fans. Makes less noise than my previous fan. Looks good, too. Shame I ordered it after the record high heatwave. But handy to keep around for the future.

The tower fans well the half was so noisy it was for my grandson because woke to the noise so need to send back tower fan 2 the remote control one sounded like an airplane was going to take off the other towers just ended up blowing hot air round .

it is very well built in a all chrome finish , it looks like it can take a lot of heavy useage.
the fan blades are safely enclosed in a steel cage.
the fan is easy to disassemble for cleaning.
the motor does not come with a remote control however the controls are mounted to the
rear of the motor. it simpily consists of on/off , low , medium , high buttons
as to power , it is incredible…….low power shifts a huge amount of air across a room , it will easily provide
you with a cool breeze when sitting about 5 metres away.
medium approx 50% more and 50% more for high , so at a high setting you can get a breeze effect from about 10 metres away.
be aware that at high setting , you can have doors slam , food dislodged from plates , drinks spilt , documents scattered , small animals blown away , wigs blown off etc.
some have commented with regard to noise. well my fan operates very smoothly out of the box. at low speed i did not have to turn up my telly or anything. what i hear is the air shifting not the fans motor.
at medium and high setting it is a little louder but honestly nothing to be concerned about as i do not think most people will need to use these settings for long , the fan is so powerful.

I’ve only ever had a small standing fan in the past. This is in a different league. I point mine at the celling which makes a draft which is really “cool” Also having it angled so, there isn’t wind blasting at you.
For the people moaning that the fan isn’t silent is hilarious, it’s for people like this bottles of bleach have “DO NOT DRINK” on them !
I never write reviews, but had to for this fan. It is powerful and cools down a room quickly. In this summer heat, it is the perfect fan for my flat. I love it so much, I’ve just purchased a second. Best purchase of 2022. There was no assembly required, and I love that I can clean it easily.
cracking fan looks very nice in the room and it gives you good air circulation you only need it on the low speed its a shame you only get the one year warranty by law it is not silent and not too loud i’m really happy with my purchase…
Good fan blows out a nice speed of air slightly noisy and only tricky part of putting together was the tiny little screw that’s on all Fan caging but was definitely worth the money

Mate it’s strong enough to make me cold in the summer so I’m landed.
Fan is pretty good, it’s powerful and keep 6 people chilled in the office which is quite big. Definitely recommend it if you want to use it in an office etc as it’s quite big and it blast the air quite strong.

Worked well, was very cooling in the summer, in one of them, it seems it’s not put together properly, but will sort that next time, what would be helpful for those that can not assemble very well, is the face should be built and the customer just needs to add the base as I could not put it together, due to my aches and pains.
Great product. More powerful than expected but that’s not a criticism – it is brilliant. I live in a south facing apartment so the room is exceptionally hot when we get sun in it. This doesn’t seem to just push hot air around but definitely cools it down. Best purchase of the summer.

As this is a very powerful fan it would benefit from having a couple more slower speeds.

Love this fan. Putting it together was straightforward. Very stylish and fits in well in our living room. When using there is some noise, which was expected but it is not intrusive. And it does the job – it is cooling. We’re very pleased with it.

Over the years we’ve bought a few floor standing fans but this one is by far the best. It’s sturdy, efficient even on its lowest setting, and it looks good too.

Powerful fan which looks and feels well made, it is sturdy and easy to move around. If I was being picky I’d say the power cord could have been longer but all in all great fan! It isn’t quiet but I don’t think it’s overly noisy especially for the power it has. 5 stars.
A good fan, sturdy and cools well. Shame there is no remote as you have to get out of bed to switch it off. Confused by reports of it being silent as it’s not. When on upstairs it sounds like a helicopter from downstairs. Isn’t terribly noisy but certainly not anywhere near silent just about what you would expect. Probably equates to an air conditioning unit for noise.
Would recommend it though as it does a good job.
This is a great fan. It moves ALOT of air and creates a nice cool breeze throughout the house. It’s is far more effective that a 20″ 3 bladed fan that I have. My only complaint is that it is definitely NOT silent despite being described as such in the pictures and on the box! Even on the lowest setting it can be heard, and on the highest setting sounds like a prop aircraft powering down a runway! Quieter than the 3 bladed fan though!
The fan was quite expensive but in the blistering heat of a hairdressing salon did the job. No remote. And very low noise.

Quite possibly the best fan I’ve ever come across. Wow and wow. Beats any tower fan hands down. I don’t know how we would have survived this heat wave without it. 5 blades. 3 speed. Extremely powerful fan sending out powerful jets if air to cool any room no matter how large. We even managed to sleep with it on speed 1. Highly recommend and great value. Quality construction throughout.

This fan is very powerful and blows a nice gust of wind throughout my sauna of a flat on the hot summer days and nights.

It’s a fan and not the most exciting piece of kit that I have ever bought, however, it is a quality fan and it certainly moves the air around. It’s a noisy beast when up high so be mindful of that….
The maximum height might be a bit lower than some expect (under chest level for an adult male), but it’s still enough to fill a room. Pretty easy to assemble, the plug cord is rather short, but that is probably to be expected, as you can’t account for how far people will need, and having a huge cord that you don’t use would be annoying, so you’ll probably need an extension unless you’re placing it right next to a power outlet. It has a heavy insert within the base that is decently stable, though not incredible. One minor issue is that the dial settings come in the form of a sticker on the metal surface (transparent, with black indicators for the power steps). I would much prefer indented and white paint-filled indicators on the dial itself, as it would look like less of a shortcut.
I find that the lowest or medium setting is more than enough to fill a medium-sized room on a warm 25c day, and I tend not to feel the need for the highest setting, although it’s nice to know there’s more juice if there’s a heatwave. Power consumption appears negligible. Can’t comment on sound levels as my hearing is clapped, but it appears fairly quiet to me on minimum.

Great fan it really circulates the air and quite powerful. The only problem I have is its abit noisey, it states on the box its quiet, but its not, but I don’t have a problem with the noise, still get to go sleep with it on full speed. Other than that five stars.
We bought this to go in our home gym. It’s superb in terms of power – could almost do with a lower setting to just ‘circulate the air’. It’s quite noisy, even on it’s lowest setting – probably too loud for use in bedroom on hot nights

As several other commentators have said, it is rather noisy. That is to be expected.
My only criticism is that the fan is said to be for a gym and I felt that the strength of the air movement should be rather stronger than I found it when on full strength, and this was for a bedroom, not a gym.
This fan is not as noisy as some have said – although it is not silent. However it is doing a very good job of fanning the air and is much more effective than the Dyson I had been using.

Fan provides good cooling draft and easily positioned and handled.
It is not silent. The level of noise is not excessive and does not vary with the speed so likely the blades of the fan are silent and the noise is just from the electric motor.
It’s a powerful fan you can feel it about 10 foot away on full speed but you may need to re drill the hole on the blades as I at to the hole is 7mm but you need a 8 mm to fit the spindle part from that it’s a great fa
