I don’t recommend you do what I do, I know it is dangerous. But, those times I just need to nudge a logo to keep the fire going, I just put these on and piece of cake. These do a very good job for protecting against heat. The length is perfect for added protection, and you can tell this is quality constructed. I had a previous pair that lasted a long while, and decided it was time for replacement. These are a definite up-grade.

Recently moved into a property with a log burner and needed some fire proof gloves. These are great. I cannot fault them. They fit myself who has small hands and my partner who has large hands so very versatile. Can’t feel no heat through them. They’re great. 5*

These gloves are perfect for loading our woodburning stove. The dark color doesn’t show the ash like others we have tried.

These gloves work perfectly so far. Got them as replacement for other gloves that had developed holes over time. These are already much better gloves and feel like they will probably last longer.

Will buy a second pair of these. Initially bought as welding gloves, but once received I decided to use as kitchen gloves instead. Nice leather, well made and sufficiently heat resistant to not notice any heat transfer when picking up as 200’C pan.

Bight for pizza oven. Allows me to put hand in and move wood about even when it’s red hot. Don’t feel it
Be warned though, carrying a very hot cast iron pan, the heat will eventually find its way through but not for
Picking up and moving etc. I found out half way to the kitchen. Great buy though.

I recently bought a Kamado BBQ the thing is amazing we barely use the oven now, however one thing is you need to move about some of the shelves/heat deflectors if you are doing certain foods, i.e. a reverse seared Tomahawk steak or the likes. Thus meaning you need to juggle a lovely hot piece of metal or ceramic deflector. However with these I can grab them and shift them about with no dramas at all. I have never tested how long i could hold anything for but i have had very hot bbq grills in these gloves for probably upto 60 seconds and not burnt myself once. They perform far better than any other bbq glove i have ever had and i will buy them again in a heartbeat once the current pair have shown signs of wear. So far they are still like new minus the odd grease mark etc .

Preis / Leistung sehr gut.

    Alles in allem klare Kaufempfehlung.

Also fr meinen Zweck absolut ok und preislich attraktiv.

I use these at my cabin for cast iron cooking and they handle high heat while providing greater agility in handling heavy cast iron pots, lids and Dutch ovens, than typical pot holders do. Have a similar pair I use while out camping.

These gloves are wonderful. I used them when shaping my forge tongs. One of the tongs is fairly short so my hands were closer to the forge than customary. I still only gradually started feeling warm through these gloves. The tongs I was holding flashed water to steam instantly at the portion in my hands so it was not quite glowing but crazy hot. These did a great job of protecting my hands and are flexible enough to actually work in.

comfort of this pair of gloves is great. resist of heat from my grill is also good. I wish the shaft of the gloves were longer(18″) to be exact. so far durable gloves; which is very good. overall a very good pair of gloves.

  31. BernardMHT says:

These gloves appear well stitched and work as expected – like decorative welding gloves.
Be aware that they are sized as around XL – the fingers are a good 3/4″ longer than my old pair of fireplace gloves, so there’s not much dexterity in using them if your hands are smaller. Then again, one doesn’t need much individual finger motion to move glowing orange logs about in a burning fireplace, which these gloves allow quite handily.
I don’t use gloves for grilling myself, but if you wish to do so, a lighter weight glove may be more appropriate, YMMV.

After grabbing the handle of a hot skillet out of the oven, I got Fourth degree burns over 190% of my hand. I learned my lesson after that and realized I needed something better to handle hot skillets than just wrapping a dish towel around the handle. Since I have started using these awesome oven mitts, not only have I not gotten burned again, my hand healed completely.

Got these to use for my woodstove at my off grid cabin. Just got back from a two week trip. these worked great, especially for the price point. They are good for reaching in and putting logs in my Jotul stove. if you leave your hands in there too long, you will feel the heat….but with plenty of time to get them out. My house has LL Bean gloves and I don’t ever feel the heat with them, but they are 3-4x more expensive. The quality is good and I expect to get years of service from them.

Bought these for our wood stove…When we insert wood or stir coals, they are a tremendous help. For those that do this job during the winter, you know what I mean if you try this bare armed…

The gloves come up about 3/4 to the elbow. The fingers are a bit stiff. But they are new. There is some kind of material inserted between layers that really helps with the heat. The leather on the outside is good. We don’t use these gloves to stack wood, move wood inside, or anything like that. We do use them to load wood into the stove. That should help make them last. A good pair of welders gloves from anywhere will likely do the same job. So check price before buying here. Watch for them at flea markets as well.

Overall, we are satisfied with these gloves. Only time will tell if they last. If you do purchase here, you will likely be just as satisfied.

I was on a mission to replace on old leather BBQ mitt. Initially I thought I’d send these back because they didn’t seem like what I needed for grilling or campfire cooking. Two weeks ago, I used these on a girl scout camping trip, cooking multiple meals over a campfire. I was fully protected from flames and grease spatters, and was even able to pick up and move charcoal and hot coals when making lasagna in the dutch oven. I’m buying another pair for using on the grill at our high school concession stand. I’m very impressed.

I really like these gloves for moving things around in the firebox of my smoker or in my firepit. They hold the heat back fairly well and I can get in there and do what I need to do unless I’m in the fire too long as once the heat starts to make its way through it can get pretty hot in there. The gloves take it with little to notice in the way of damage. Once they have time to cool down they are good to go again.

Can feel the heat when holding grill sections that have been at 300celcius,
Doesn’t handle the heat in the kamado for long so you have to be fast when moving sections of the bbq during cook

This was recommend by a BBQ pit-master, and after a few trials in the desert can confidently state that these welding gloves offer expert protection from red-hot charcoal — or when handling other items on the grill.

Now used also indoors, when handling items above 180C. Our previously oven-glove purchase does not offer sufficient protection when handling items that are in the range 200-260C. These new leather forge welding gloves achieve this level of protection.

Awesome purchase. Great value & quality for the money.

First pair of heat resistant gloves I’ve owned. I didn’t really know what to expect, but I was very pleased with this pair. Item shipped fast and got to me in one day, which was perfect since I had a camping trip planned for the following day. I was able to handle a hot Dutch oven with no issues and I was able to manage the firepit without having to fumble around with a poker, shovel or stick. When handling these items, I felt no heat at all. The inside of the glove remained cool. They seem like a quality pair and have a little heft to them. My only knock would be they have a funky smell, but it lessened as I used them that weekend at camp. I’d recommend.

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersI purchased these gloves to fight fires with, as a volunteer fire fighter. I used these gloves, when I had to fight a fire that was at the back of a 40 foot Sea container. The air was hot to breathe, and everything that was in the container was super hot. These gloves did not get damaged, nor did I feel any heat through them as we pulled burning material out of the container. Having used a variety of gloves in the past, there’s usually a trade off between protection and dexterity. These gloves gave me the ability to use my hands with great dexterity, while being protected from high heat objects and fire. I would definitely recommend them.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOnce I received sealed bag and tried on right glove, it was apparent something was wrong, the gloves index finger inside didn’t feel smooth like the others. I turned the glove inside out and there was a gapping hole in the interior material and exposed foil leaving finger without heat protection. Clearly a manufacturing defect. The left glove was perfect. Ok so I got a dud. I contacted the seller by messaging e-mail and they contacted me back within an hour!.. Unheard Of these days right?!! They apologized for the defect and thanked me for the feedback so they can forward the issue to manufacturing quality dept., which is Unheard Of right?!!.. They overnighted me a new pair and were perfect. I have large hands and glad I chose these, no tugging and pulling to get on/off and are very plush soft. Use them for woodstove stoking and to lean on, Yes to lean on as I am disabled and situation has it have to lean hand & forearm on stovetop corner to load wood with other hand and these babies handle the job with flying colors…I had glove on 400 degree stove to quick test it for review for about a minute before feeling a hint of warmth. Very happy as my old heat mitts would have burned skin in that time so two thumbs up & the seller really stands behind thier product!

I bought these gloves to wear while barbecuing and grilling. They work fine as far as heat resistance and the length as fit are on the large side.
During unboxing, they have a strong odor or off gassing. Letting them air out of the package, the odor went away.
They get the job done. I’ve handled my grill grate while cooking and handled burning charcoal, both with no incidents.
I took off a star for the large fit and odo

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI am a female, petite, with moderately sized hands. These things are massive! But the size doesn’t have an effect on the usefulness. I fell, limb, buck, split, stack, and then burn a few dozen rather large trees each season to keep my timber healthy. I have installed 3 wood stoves around my farm. I have been burnt by all three at one time or another. A little singe on the wrist, a small searing on the knuckle. You know how it goes. Not anymore, not with these babies. I just reach right in to the inferno and make my necessary adjustment or firewood additions and move on. Complete protection. 🙂

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI have been searching high and low for gloves for the BBQ. I have been burning myself quite a bit lately as my old grill gloves have finally had it. Kept looking everywhere for gloves that would be heat resistant and allow me to cook on my very very hot grill without getting burned. I have found them. They are large and big and do the trick. I have pretty big hands and they run a little on the big side even on my hands but I absolutely can and will make due. The packaging was nice and a well done presentation and the gloves work well so far. I am very happy with this purchase and recommend them.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThese aren’t so good as oven gloves however. They’re adequate so long as the wearer doesn’t need to hold something straight out of the oven for more than a few seconds: the heat will penetrate the glove and make one’s fingers very hot indeed.

Great for gardening – I’ve managed to pull up brambles and stinging nettles without damaging myself as nice thick leather and I like the way they come a good way up my arms. Only downside is because they are thick leather, it’s hard to get a grip on smaller weeds.

Golden Review Award: 53 From Our UsersI got this pair of long leather heat resistant gloves by Ozero in gray color (not the black/gray). (I took close up photos so you can see the quality of the construction and get a better view of the interior of the gloves. Let me know if you find them helpful.)

The gloves are 16″ from the tip of the middle finger to the base of the glove. It’s made of split cowhide leather. The inside is made of 100% insulate cotton which feels somewhat like a fleece. It has leather loops which is nice for hanging up, however, it would be nice if it were reinforced more.

There’s a fair amount of flex to the glove considering how thick it is. It’s constructed in a more 3 dimensional form rather than flat which means that you don’t end up with hand muscle fatigue from having to fight against the leather as you’re trying to hold onto pieces of wood for extended periods of time. (It naturally lays with the thumb in the forward position across the palm.) It’s a bit large for me as you can see in the photos. It’s definitely sized to fit a man but as a woman, I’m able to wear it and function with it.

I was able to pull a metal pan out of a 500 degree oven and place the pan on top of the stove without feeling a burning sensation. However, if I held onto the pan for more than 2 seconds, I would start to feel the burn. You can quickly move around burning logs without any burning also and I’m sure they would work well for the grill.

GREAT PROTECTION FROM FLAMES, NICE QUALITY

Really well made and very strong they come packaged in a cardboard box and bag.
The stitching is strong and they protect up to about the middle of the forearm – certainly saving the soft flesh and hairs from the fire!
I would imagine these would be excellent for the barbecue too as they can get incredibly hot.
Very well made and lovely quality – well worth the purchase if you are working in hot environments.

Great heat protection and very well made

Golden Review Award: 46 From Our UsersI rate these as just okay. They have the long cuff, which does help protect against the heat of the grill, but the leather does not protect the fingers up to 662 degrees past a couple seconds. The leather may be okay up until that point but we could feel the extreme heat while removing a pan from our grill. between 450- 500 degrees. We will need to continue using these and another hot pad to handle the pans. That is disappointing as we are destroying our normal hot pads because the outside is cotton and we wanted something that would not scorch. I would like to see them insulated with something that protects hands against the heat.

I received a different pair of gloves to try for the grill (which I will refer to in this update as “silicone”). They had short cuffs and were made of a heat protection material with cotton lining. The palms were decorated with what I believe is silicone. The silicone pair worked much better for the heat then our original leather pair – I would say a couple seconds for the leather pair and about 5 (maybe 7) seconds for the silicone. Together they are ideal. I am hoping the leather gloves are updated by adding the silicone gloves as an additional liner (without the silicone). the description does say “upgraded” now. I have adjusted my rating by 1 star: OZERO wrote to me to say they were upgrading the gloves with additional lining and were sending a pair for my review. If the lining (silicone gloves) I received goes into the new updated leather gloves, they will be a 5 star product.
