I was looking for a heater that I could put in our utility room to dry clothes in the winter – rather than putting the central heating on (best avoided at the moment!). This heater works really well and works especially well with the timer and remote control options. It helps to make sure clothes get dry and we even use it to heat our breakfast room when it gets a bit chilly. Whilst it will certainly raise our electric costs, it will mean that we can restrict the use of gas, and help on costs overall. But, please with the purchase and it fits neatly in a corner so quite unobtrusive.
Bought while we have radiators off for redecoration and didn’t think it would really heat the space but it is great. Love the remote so I can be lazy and just control from the sofa. Doesn’t have to be on a long time so not putting up electricity bill
Brilliant warms large size living room quickly, When it reaches set temperature it turns off then when room cools it will restart.
Really pleased. Works great. Let’s out great moving heat. A1.
This product is perfect in every way. Neat, efficient and it works. I should have bought 2.
Great heater. Unwrap it and away you go. We’ll built and quiet to use. Heats up in a couple of seconds and just takes the nip out the air at night. Definitely order the one with the remote controller as you can set the temperature ( it’s called eco mode but it’s not it’s basically a thermostat setting). You’ll need a couple of AAA batteries for remote as they don’t include ( a bit tight fisted). Anyway, overall it’s a great product.
Looks great. Doesn’t take much room. Heats quickly and you can heat 1 room instead of whole house.
Nice slim heater, gives out heat when required by remote control.
Excellent heating fan forces it around very quickly! Not quiet as it work’s really well !
Excellent heater heard up almost instantly and warms my average sized room in minutes.Easily portable and I’m sure it will save on heating bills. Highly recommended.
This is a great heater my living room is toasties warm in minutes. Easy to control and looks very modern, gem of a heater.
Lightweight, easy to use remote control. Warms the room up quickly.
Lightweight and compact but generates a lot of heat instantly. Hoping this will save me from using the central heating so much. Ideal for heating just one room.
So happy with this product, well packed and works so well. Strongly recommend i
Easy to move from room to room, heating only the areas I wish to be warm with near instant heat. Switches completely off (no fan running) once its reached its targeted heat. Warmed my front room (18m) from 18.5 to 20.5 in about 7 minutes. From my calculations and energy tariff, it costs about 52p p/h to run.
On a bad note it is not supplied with the 2x aaa batteries required to use the remote control.
All in all a very good purchase and a happy customer. (Would have been very happy if there had been batteries)
I have been looking for a heater with thermostat and remote control and the one that is lightweight and good in instant heating. I found all these attributes in this heater and it has also got an oscillating function. Though price is a bit high should be around 50 max.
Noisier than expected but pleased with the operation and heating.
The heater worked perfectly and very happy with it.
The remote did not work.
Contacted Amazon Customer Service.
Only wanted replacement remote but told us to send whole package.
Contacted seller. New remote sent out immediately.
1st class service.
This lightweight heater is easy to use and soon warms the room. I would recommend to anyone hoping to save energy.
I am very pleased with pelonis .Well worth every penny i spent thanks.Cheap to run and gives a really heat in whichever room i put it in.For those who are thinking of buying i say go on buy folks.
brilliant heater we have a large lounge which it warms up in a couple of minuets very easy to use from remote or straight from heater dont know about the saving of energy yet.
I liked the look but the handle at back for lifting wants a lip inside so you can handle it better fingers then to slide out .instant heat in the cold mornings
Does what it says on the tin. Don’t actually need it on for too long as it is very efficie
I got this to warm up my bedroom at night. They say 17 is for a perfect sleep. I set it to the temperature I want and it keeps it there. Shuts off automatically once it’s arrived at temperature and starts when dropped below 4 off that setting. No more waking up cold for me. The noise is not over powering I can deal with that.
This is a powerful little heater. It heats our living room very quickly.
I wasn’t expecting much for the price, but I’m pleasantly surprised. It comes fully assembled, so no faffing about. It’s sturdy, and yet very lightweight. It’s pretty quiet, and it heats up almost instantly. I have quite a large living room, but it warmed the place up nicely in a few minutes. It looks pretty sleek, but is small enough just to store in a cupboard until needed if you don’t like having it on display.
Used in my converted garage As office which us well insulated. I needed an efficient heater that is easy to operate and quick to heat. It did just tha
I bought this heater to cut down on heating costs. I haven’t had it long enough to know if it will.
Nicely styled and heats my room quickly. I was so impressed that I bought another one for my kitchen.
We find this heater quick and easy to use for instant heat , warms the room up nicely, stops when it reaches set temperature
Purchased at 64. Went for slightly more expensive heater as I believe you get what you pay for and safety and longevity of cheaper electrical heaters concerns me. Bought for use over winter months to give a boost when needed in certain rooms so as to ‘heat the person not the house’ and so reduce need to have central heating on for extended periods in what is a large Victorian property. Would be too expensive to use for hours on end but should be ok for an hour or two morning & evening to take chill off a room. Unit appears sturdy but apart from quick trial when it arrives i have not yet put it to use so can’t speak for its reliability. As with any heater it should be plugged directly into a wall socket, NOT an extension lead and should not be left unattended when in use, especially if you have young children or pets.
Used to use those cheap old Halogen heaters for first thing in the morning , OK this is more expensive but what a difference ! Immediate heat . 3 settings with remote control , has a swivel function with digital functions on top . reduced at the moment , must get a second .
This does the job it claims to do, hence the 5 stars.
It heats up quick and in cold weather it gives out a very pleasant heat. Since it’s just a heater there’s not a lot more to say about it really.
The only downside, from my personal perspective, is that it looks a little bit “dowdy”. Doesn’t affect how it operates, but I don’t think it’s going to win any design awards!
This does the job well despite looking a little cheap and banged up in an old box when it arrived.
Easy to set up and use and easy to control.
Heats an average room well and has come in very handy
Really pleased with the heater. Looks stylish. Very heat efficient love the remote. Quiet. Very happy with overall quality
This is a decent tower heater with extra functionality such as a timer and remote that makes it ideal for anyone looking for a safe tower heater with different settings.
The unit is fully assembled straight out of the box, so you really can just plug it in and get started straight away.
I love that the heat comes out immediately – some of the other heaters I have tried take some time to reach temperature.
Overall, for a smart-looking tower fan, that has little extras that make it safer (and more efficient) I would absolutely recommend it.
Very good and reliable unit. I love this little heater due to the fact that it does not take long to warm up a space especially when you have it on high. It keeps my room toasty all night, spreading the heat around by oscillating so it isn’t concentrated in just one area. The remote control became much more of a convenience than I thought since I needed to move the heater away from myself because it was making it too warm when I had it near me. Love the design as well. Very modern with lots of heating power.
This is a good sized heater and comes in a variety of colour ways. The black with white edge is smart and it is fairly lightweight. It is perfect for use in a garden office and creates warmth quickly.
Good Heater. Not cheap to run, but at todays energy prices is any electrical appliance cheap to run.
Great for either smaller or medium sized rooms as can heat a space pretty quickly on the higher setting and was very impressed with how quickly the room heated up which the oscillating probably helps with. It’s a nice slimline unit so doesn’t’ take up too much space either and the timer and controller is really handy too, but also like the fact it has good protection with cutting out if it falls over etc. It;s a fair price for a great little hater so would recommend as very happy with it.
I have been using this to heat the downstairs of my house as the gas heating is so expensive to run at the moment.
This is a fairly large unit but works very well. I plug it in the living room and it heats up the whole of the downstairs. I don’t need to keep it on at all times either as the heat it produces is not just ‘hot air’ is seem to actually warm up the rooms and it remains warm for a long time after turning it off.
Very, very happy with it and, for me, it is more affordable than normal central heating. Would recommend for larger spaces.
This heater arrived in a big branded box. It looks quite stylish with shiny black finish. It is easy to use either by remote control included or press the button on top of the heater. It heats up quickly and produces low noise. The standing up design can save spaces and can be a good decoration. It is currently on sale so 59.99 is good value for money.
This heater is great – small but powerful.
Witlh energy getting so expensive, I was looking for a way to warm the room I was in, rather than put the central heating on all day. This heater fits the bill.
It’s looks good quality, and it’s quite sturdy. Because of the design it will fit into small spaces, and it can be changed from still to rotating, depending on what you need.
The controls are easy to understand and are on the top of the unit, although there is a remote control if you are further away, or feeling spectacularly lazy! But I jest – the remote control would be useful for disabled people who can’t move easily, or the elderly.
It’s quite lightweight and has a handle on the back, so easy to carry around from room to room. In the summer I will move my oil heater from the conservatory and replace it with this to take the chill off a cooler summer evening.
It comes with a good instruction booklet, but to be honest, using it is simple, so it’s not really needed.
This is a great buy and if you’re looking for a small and slim heater, I suggest you seriously consider this one.
Our central heating water pump stopped working on 08th February and a promised heating engineer call out was not honoured, thus the PELONIS 2000W PTC Tower Space Heater seemed heaven sent when ordered and received next day on 10th. It arrived in a fairly large branded box measuring 65 x 24 x 22cm inside of which were the heating unit, remote control and an instruction manual, all in plastic bags and held in place with top and bottom packing guards. Extracting the contents revealed that the actual heater was considerably smaller (though larger than any electric fan type heater we have ever owned) at 59 x 19.5 x 17.5cm in the black version per the order. Looking at the unit it has air intakes at the rear, heat output at the front with a stand on which the unit can oscillate up to 80, all controls are on the top of the unit, though I must admit I do prefer to use the remote control. The controls are fairly simple once you get to know them through the manual provided, on/off, mode, timer, oscillation and a “+” and “-” for adjusting the temperature / mode and there is an LED display to help you understand what operating mode it is in. There is a handle at the rear of the unit where you will also find the fixed power cable connection into the heater.
In use I found this to be exceptionally quick to deliver a good heat to a room, even better when using the oscillation in a larger room, it is relatively quiet and did not disturb our watching TV — once warmed, switching to ECO mode still maintained a nice temperature. The remote works well, instantly making changes as needed, whilst in our tests the timer also worked as stated when set for a couple of hours, I understand this can cater for periods from 1 to 8 hours, which is very useful. The heater is also fitted with tip over protection and overheat protection for peace of mind, though these capabilities were untested. The unit is light enough to be taken to multiple rooms, which indeed we did to warm bedrooms before bed, though its main use was in the lounge.
Overall I was impressed with this PELONIS Heating Tower, it delivered just what we needed in a desperately cold few days and will definitely be retained for future emergencies, though — and nothing against the heater – I hope there are none! Light and thus portable by the grab handle, excellent and simple on board and remote controls, a very rapid heating capability, oscillation, and safety features…what more could you need? Recommended.
It’s a really good heater, easy to use with the remote control and being able to set the temperature and the timer for 8 hours really helps at night time for my baby as the room does get quite cold at times.
Got this for the en-suite of our bedroom as that’s the only place in whole house which is always freezing cold. This heater start delivering heat as soon as you turn this on. Fast response and effective. It’s lightweight and well made. Easy to carry and move around even if heater is plugged in and working. Comes with a remote control so you can easily set timer and switch between power modes. Maximum power of this heater is 2000W which can be lower to 1200W. 75 rotation can cover quite area.
Overall good quality heater with effective heat delivery. At the time of review this product was available for 50.99.
Pros:
Warms up quickly, powerful heater.
Fan tower oscillates to create a warm environment.
Lightweight.
Easy to operate – reasonably intuitive.
Instructions included if you’re not so sure.
Cons:
A little noisy in a quiet environment.
Verdict:
This is well recommended. 60 for a remote heater with oscillation seems a fair bit to me!
I’ve got this heater in my games room outside and it’s excellent. There’s no heating in there so the fact that it heats up super quickly is great for me.
It’s a tall ceramic heater that oscillates and has a remote control and an LED display on the top. The build and plastic quality is high.
Price wise it’s more than I’d usually spend on a heater but it’s got more features than my other fan heater.
The only thing I wish it had was a cool setting and then it would be perfect.
Overall though I think it’s a great heater and I’d recommend it mainly because of its fast heat up.
This is a brilliant little heater, I have tried 2000w heaters before but this seems much better giving a wider spread of heat too, this heats my medium room very nicely even on low so will even save money with this as my old 2000w I used to use high for the same effect, the remote control works well and saves having to get up to change settings too, all in all, a very good heater.
I’m using this in my summerhouse, it heats it up really well just after a few minutes. Would recommend.
This is extremely easy to use from the comfort of your chair and gives out a radiating heat that soon has you nice and toasty. Great value for money and works very well.
This heater is great for taking off the chill quickly and, although you can hear the fan, its not too loud.
I have a large living room / dining room so i don’t think it would warm up this space too quickly on its own but with the living room fire working in conjunction it does the job very well.
I’ve not used the timer function yet so cant review that but the oscillator function is brilliant and the fact it is remote controlled is excellent.
The heater also has a safety cut off if it gets knocked over which is activated when it tilts past a certain point.
I’ve used this heater every night since i got it and i recommend it.
+++AAA
This is a smart, space-saving tower heater with a range of extra features.
I particularly liked the remote control (though you do have to provide two AAA batteries yourself for this). This is the first portable electric heater I have owned with a remote, and after a few weeks I wonder how I ever managed without one! But you can also use the touch-sensitive control panel on top of the device if you prefer.
The heater has three main settings. These are high (2000 W), low (1200 W) and ECO. The latter is basically a thermostat option. It lets you set a target temperature between 5 and 35 degrees Celsius in one degree increments and shuts off when this temperature is reached. In my view the ECO name is a slightly confusing attempt to climb on board the green bandwagon!
You can set the heater to oscillate back and forward across a 75 degree arc. You can also set a timer for between one and eight hours in one-hour increments. Tip-over and overheat protection are included as well.
I find this heater quickly warms up a cold room, especially on the High setting. It operates like a fan heater, with warm air coming out of the tower.
The heater appears to be well made and robust. Nothing really to criticize about it, so five stars from me.
This heater comes in a sturdy box together with an instruction manual and a remote control unit. The build quality is very good. The heater is light enough to carry and it is stable in use. There is a safety cutout in case of accident. The heater is slim and unobtrusive. The cable, complete with 3-pin UK plug, is a good length. The remote control needs two batteries which are not included.
I’m really pleased with this heater. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The controls are on the top of the unit so there’s no scrabbling around to discern and use them.
The heater is very effective. It gives immediate heat, strong enough that you feel the difference at once. The oscillation is about 70 and the sound is minimal. The timer is easily set. It’s useful to have the heater in my bedroom and turn it off by the remote control on my bedside table.
It is easy to move the heater from room to room. I have no hesitation in recommending this product.
Measuring approx 60com tall, this impressive little heater gives off a good level of heat quickly. The control panel is on the top of the unit making it accessible and I found it easy to use. You can alter the temperature and the oscillation and there is a timer to set to come on between 1-8 hours. There is also a remote control which I haven’t used as much as it’s easy enough to set and leave the unit will switch itself off if it falls over and has a fail safe for if it overheats so I feel confident it’s safe too. A great unit.
In the box there is the heater and a remote control. No batteries for the remote which could have been included and no instruction manual.
The heater itself is pretty easy to operate from the top of the heater. It has a carrying handle at the back which makes it easier to move. The heater is fairly quiet and heats up fast. You can have it oscillating . It automatically turns off if knocked over which is a good safety feature. It also goes into cool down mode for 15 seconds when you turn it off. It dies a good job of keeping you warm when on but as soon as its turned off you quickly cool .
This is a very good room heater.
Totally portable.
Just place in any room for really good heat.
Ideal for say a bedroom.
Great for use in the conservatory.
It is really neat and super practical portable heater.
And it seems super efficient to use.
This tower heater by Pelonis is available in black, green or white and is currently priced at 79.99 or 71.99 (black or white) 70.99 (green) for Prime members. I received the heater in black
The heater comes in a branded box and is fully assembled, you will need to provide 2 AAA batteries for the remote control though as these aren’t supplied. You can of course work the heater with the remote, but using it saves you having to get up to change it. Also included is an instruction booklet
The heater is quite lightweight and can easily be moved about using the small indented handle at the back, you will of course need an electrical socket wherever it is moved to though
Although it does come with instructions it is easy to work, either using the remote or the panel located on top of the heater, you can choose high, low heat or eco settings and have it oscillating or standing still. The heater has an 8 hour timer and shuts off automatically
I found this heater really easy to use and it puts out a really good heat, soon warms the room up, not only can it be used indoors but it can be used in the garden on summer evenings to keep the chill off
The heater has overheating protection and a tip off switch and is safe to be used around children and pets
I really like the look of this heater and it should fit in well with most homes decor, it’s been well designed and they’ve thought of just about everything, but supplying the batteries for the remote wouldn’t go amiss. It’s sturdy, heats up well and really quickly and isn’t too noisy. Happy to recommend
This tower Space heater. is easy to work. with plenty of settings and also a remote. Would be great to uses in any room where the heater is not covered or obstructed.
PELONIS 2000Watt Tower Space Heater (Model: PHT20ABBUK) with 8Hour Timer & Remote Control, Instant Heating, Oscillation, Adjustable Thermostat, Tip-Over & Overheat Protection
A rather smart black tower heater that is so easy to use.
All the controls are located on the top and so are easy to access and easy to see. The heater will turn/swing either side of the central position giving constant easy coverage of heat distribution. The overall angle is about 70 degrees.
It works straight out of the box…just plug the cord into a convenient 3 pins (UK) socket, there is a short “ping” the first time and then you set it to do what you want.
The controls are really simple… an On/Off, a temperature setting that has a scale of 5 deg. C to 35 deg. C, a Mode setting (M) that gives “High” “Low” or “Eco” settings and a timer that can be set from 1 hour up to 8 hours in 1 hour intervals. In the “Eco” setting the temperature can be set manually between 5 deg. C and 35 deg. C in 1 degree intervals. This all gives a comprehensive range of controls that will meet at least 95% of users.
You also get a remote control that mirrors the controls on the top of the tower. This needs 2 x AAA batteries (not supplied) and they suggest these are either standard rather than re-chargeable. The tower has a relatively small “footprint” and can be placed where ever it is convenient so long as you don’t block the air flow. With the remote by your side, you can control the heat whenever you want it and ideal for someone who might not be able to leave their chair.
The tower has in built safety features that will cause it to automatically switch itself off if knocked over or if a fault developed or if it overheats. The fan is quiet and will not cause any problems to users.
The warranty is one year. The user manual looks bulky but in fact the English part only takes up 7 pages and 2 of those are statutory safety regulations and one a drawing.
There is a lot to like about this heater and no significant negatives. A versatile heater that many will like and find easy to use.
Pelonis is actually a neatly looking premium feel tower heater that matches the modern interiors of the home.
The pros
– It is well designed
– timer and remote control are convenient in many ways in day today use
– warms up quickly
– oscillates very well
– has a sturdy base
The cons are
– the warmth is hard to feel beyond two steps
– expensive than the others in the class- somewhat more of between 10 to 20s.
Considering the advantages over the negatives, I would still like to recommend it.
I could use this heater in a few places including in my office for instant heat or in my caravan to warm things.
When this heater arrived it came in a nice strong box with pretty good graphics and nice colours. Upon opening i did notice it was packaged quite well inside also.
The heater seems really well made. It has a very nice look with a digital display on the top or we could use the remote control to set the heater how we wanted. The remote control doesn’t come with any batteries which was unusual nowadays so i was a little disappointed in that.
This heater is lovely and powerful. It comes with different features however i just use the remote control to set the heat and the angle of the blower. It heats up really quickly – in fact in seconds it kicks out a good strong amount of heat and once it reaches the temperature that the unit is set to it stops kicking out the heat. Upon turning it off the unit has a 12 second countdown until it totally powers off but that’s fine for me.
The reasons i never gave this a 5 star (because it is really good) is 1. Because it doesn’t come with batteries and 2. I found the blower off putting in my office. It isn’t majorly noisy but the blowing of the air put me off work calls online. Other than that i really like this
