So pleased I found this keyboard. Took ages to find a pink/white keyboard and this is perfect. Had it for over half a year and I still love it. Chose the brown switch keys and I love how they feel and sound. It is compact which I like so it doesn’t take up too much space and I don’t miss having a numerical pad. Would happily recommend and it worth the money
I bought this keyboard to use as my back was hurting so much typing on my small chromebook laptop. I don’t have the money for an actual PC so this seemed like a great option. I really love the sound the keys make, though it is slightly louder than I expected. I chose the pink and white version and I have to say I’m really happy with how it looks on my desk! I think it’s a little pricey, there are other cheaper options out there but I was willing to put in a little more as it really is beautiful.
Noise is just right – it actually sounds nice while somebody else is using it. Strangely all these keyboards are angled the wrong way: you want the side nearest you to be higher so your fingers can drop onto the keys rather than strain your wrist with an angle that points up – I’ve glued a small piece of wood under the nearside to increase the angle.
It’s a perfect match for the rest of the pink clutter I have absolutely everywhere, and functionality-wise I’ve had absolutely no issues with it other than the fact that fn – prt sc does not work, which isn’t a massive issue for me.
All in all, would definitely recommend. I wish it came in more fun colours so I could start a collection lol.
it’s a good keyboard but you can hear the metal base when you press down on a key
Bought this for my 16year old, he says it his best one ye
Super Keyboard. keyboard sits very well on table. Very comfortable to use. Keys are well made, and is a pleasure to use. super value in my opinion. It also has the ability to back-lite the keyboard at night/day if needed, just press fn and up arrow. fn and down arrow to reduce light levels. i think there are 4 levels.
Concerning the small size – it’s actually very comfortable to use once you get used to the way you have to access function keys. I use a laptop, so portability was important to me, and this fits well into any bag I can fit my laptop into.
I’ve wasted 100s on RGB gaming keyboards before but have loved using this one much more.
The keyboard itself is fine, I feel it was priced a little high for what it is, it doesn’t have any features, it’s a basic keyboard. You can get a Drevo for the same price with many more features and cherry switches.
I love this keyboard, I’ve been using it while working at home due to the pandemic and I find it very enjoyable to type on. The sound it makes is nice (although slightly loud, however you could fix that) and it feels light under my touch. The colour is cute and fun and I like that the backlit is pink where the pink keys are and blue where the white keys are. Overall, this is perfect as a reasonably priced mechanical keyboard.
Recommend.
Great keyboard, nice finish on the the aluminium back plate. Keys are good quality. Lights are only white so don’t expect RGB control.
Really good mechanical keyboard- I got the brown switches. Using for gaming and its amazing. The key caps are easy to remove so you can customise i
Would highly recommend this for either a first mechanical keyboard or even for an experienced user. For the price it’s really great. Looks nice, feels solid, and they keys type well. I got it with Gateron Red switches which are smooth to type on and a little quieter than other colours. The main difference between them and Cherry MX Reds is I find they have a little less resistance compared to the Cherry’s.
True UK layout which is a plus. Gateron Brown version feels similar to the Cherry Brown MX: very comfortable to type on, and thin base means I don’t need a wrest. Small size works well. However there are some significant quirks, which will partly reflect the price:
i) Keys are not translucent so the back light does not shine through the keys (but if you mostly touch type this doesn’t matter so much), ii) The light under the Caps Lock key does not switch on/off to reflect activation (no indicator light on the board at all!), iii) Scroll Lock same, and finally iv) some key 2nd/3rd key functions are not that intuitive – but one will get used to that (preferably not in the dark given limited back light!)
I bought this for a my second PC and it works well.
Really happy with this keyboard. Really solid with a nice typing experience. Backlight is nice with different effects but doesn’t come through the keys.
Now In my opinion 65% percent keyboard are a perfect start on getting into the community, you get the
arrow keys with it and an additional 4 keys on the top. So far I am pleased with the keyboard purchase
and while typing this review I’m pretty sure i increase my life span by at least 1 year due to how relaxing
it sounds.
Now there is always at least one bad thing in this keyboard that I have so far… the right arrow key has
a metallic clang to it… but other than that its amazing. To fix the metallic clang I had to take the keyboard
apart and apply some padding to it, which didn’t take to long…
Overall would recommend the product and especially the gaterons brown for the pleasant clicks and clacks.
65% layout. The arrow keys being in their own bit of space on the bottom left is really nice. All in all it’s a very intelligent use of space, and there’s nothing I miss from a full sized keyboard.
I would advise buying a set of dampening rings. Because it’s a fairly light construction and PBC mounted it can be a bit klakkerty.
Being small and light it’s quite portable.
There’s other small things like the backlighting doesn’t shine through the key caps. But if you’re bothered about that, buy a new set of key caps.
For me at least, this keyboard excels in all the things that matter. And sure, there are better keyboards out there for 3 times the price, and actually I think I’m going to buy one, taking the plunge to go fully down to a 60%, but as a first mechanical keyboard it’s been awesome.
This is my first keyboard using Gateron switches and this keyboard has a much more pleasant typing experience than my Ducky keyboards that were 100+. I’m sold on Gateron over cherry switches.
Some people are saying it doesn’t have ‘proper’ back-lighting. By that I supposed they mean the keys aren’t transparent so the letters aren’t visible in the dark (this is totally apparent from the pictures of the product so those reviews are a bit harsh). However, there are versions of the keyboard with transparent keys so keys so get one of those if key visibility at night is important. I prefer them opaque.
This is a really nice keyboard at this price. If you want to try a mechanical keyboard but don’t want to fork out a lot of money, try this.
Switches originales, teclado rigido, layout estandar, la iluminacion funciona perfecto. Una delicia de teclado.
Veramente ottima!
I tasti sono molto “buoni”,ottima per la scrittura
The keyboard is amazing for the price range, I picked the blue switches its better than expected,
I only have 1 issue with it, the back lighting doesn’t shine through the keys so its hard to see it in a dark room as well as having new shortcut locations its hard to locate them in the dark a fix might be to replace the keys to get proper lighting
Its well built, compact in size and overall worth it.
Great keyboard for somebody wanting to upgrade to mechanical without the gamer look. Very high quality keys and metal front plate. Only negative point I would make is that even with brown switches its a bit loud, definitely worth investing in some o-rings to dampen the sound of the plastic keys hitting the switch below. LED’s provide a subtle glow but don’t expect this to help you use at night, its purely for effect.
-Ottima tastiera compatta.
I use it with a MacBook – and I don’t miss having separate function keys. As a Javascript programmer, the only niggle is the placement of the backtick which is used frequently. I still have to pause to find it.
This is my first mechanical keyboard. I now find it difficult to use the flat chiclet style keyboards.
The switches themselves are a dream, almost the same as Cherry MX Reds but smoother (better). I will always choose Gateron Reds over Cherry’s from this point on.
The keycaps are also very nice, I love the font and the overall quality. The PBT keycaps have a nice feel and weight to them, definitely a lot better than most of the stock ABS rubbish you normally get.
The White LED lighting is nicely implemented, with a few different mods such as breathing or reactive effects.
The only gripe I had, which was a big one for me, was the polling rate. Most keyboards have a minimum of a 125hz polling rate with up to 1000hz polling rate for higher end keyboards, this is how often the OS scans the USB port for a signal from the board. You will not normally notice a difference between 125hz and 1000hz boards, as 125hz equates to 8ms and 1000hz equates to 1ms, barely perceivable. This keyboard ONLY allows 20/40/60, with 40 and 60 having issues in games for some reason, so you’ll be stuck on the 20hz, which adds a minimum of 50ms to each stroke. This IS noticeable. Hence the 4 stars overall on an otherwise great keyboard.
So for 90% of uses, the keyboard is great. But, for games which require a fast input of a certain key for an ability – I cannot recommend this unfortunately.
After that I saw that there was a Magicforce69 with ISO keys. This is it! The keys are even lower compared to Magicforce68 keys which makes the typing way more efficient. I am using the Gateron Browns as I don’t like the clickyness of the blues and linear reds. The very light bump and de silence is amazing. Combining the keyboard with O rings and I’m done!
Thank you! Now I can let it rest, and finally give my wife the attention again she needs.
Now the grumble is partly my fault for not paying more attention to the pictures (I need a compact style keyboard to fit in the space on a very small desk, well this fits the bill, it does fit nicely on the desk and under the stand so bonus!), but I was after a keyboard where the letters are lit through, this does not do that the back-lighting is exactly that lights the back of the keys, it is adjustable and actually a pleasant light, but all the other keyboards with the light through the keys and compact enough to fit are all US layout which although is just a matter of getting used to would still annoy the hell out of me. I will keep this as it does not suffer the bounce/repeat issue of the previous keyboard, this does feel very good to type on and the neat layout is close enough to what I have been used to for the function and special keys.
Hopefully it will last as long as the initial impression gives as it does feel very robust.
