I was abit nervous with buying a cheaper welder but from seeing a few good reviews on social media from people who have never welded I thought id try it my self. Well the gasless welding I was surprised how good it actually is and with hardly any splatter, it’s fantastic also you can use gas if you wanted, it’s a 4 in 1 welder as stated and it works really good I know this because I’ve welded new sills onto my van, im happy with this and would recommend it.

It’s a nice machine, came on time, have everything it said it would, now am looking for a good plug now to to test it out…

Just bought this four in one welder as my wolf as just packed up I set it up with the 1mm flux core wire which was a little fiddly as I have big hands and feed the wire through I thought it was not feeding as it was so quiet or it could have been the noisy fan. Feeds very slowly but very smoothly compared to some of the mig welders I have used. So I cut some 20×2 mm angle and did a test weld could not believe how smooth this little welder is I cannot wait to get a bottle of argon and try the tig set up only downside to this kit in a box I only received one 1mm tip but I can live with that. I have worked as a welder for over forty years and for the money you can’t go wrong

Wish I had one of these years ago. So easy to weld with it. Seems good quality and well made.
Very small, light and portable. Plenty of power for welding and the current is easily adjustable.

Great little welder for the money. Unlike some of the cheap Igbt welder from China. This one actually seems to out correct power (Amps). Hot start and arc force are nice features too. Semi synergic in the fact you have presets for different size electrodes. All in all I’m very pleased with it.

Simple to operate and carry. Needs plugging though. Feels well made. I’m no expert, but have done some ok welds with it already.

Ottimo rapporto prezzo qualit.
My husband advised this is a very useful product, and he looks forward to using it on numerous projects in the future. He really likes the fact that this welder has the ability to have add-ons, and is planning on purchasing those as well. He stated this is a great addition to his tool box!
bought this welder to do welding for my car, never welded before but I have started getting the hang of it with this easy to use welder. It does the job for welding 3mm steel that I need on my car. I will be buying more products from the company in the future.

I weld for a day job with plants that cost thousands of pounds but I needed a little flux core welder for 1 job welding up a chassis outdoors. I’ve only done a small test with it so far but I can already tell it’s a great little machine. Easy to use, welds nice and the wire that comes with it will be perfect for most hobbyists. Just make sure you read the manual and get your polarity correct. No complaints from me.

I welded an offroad bumper for my toyota 4runner with this welder and it worked great. Search “Aram’s Channel” on YT for a video of me welding!

Iniziamo dai pregi.
Comodit.

I don’t claim to be a professional welder Last welder I had was well over 10 years ago it was a cheap harbor freight mig flux or gas Twice the size and twice as heavy When I got the box I was quite alarmed because it was so small I couldn’t believe the welder and everything I ordered fit in the box. Upon opening it was Not damaged. Only thing is it did not come with .08 wire as stated it came with .1 I did buy a spool of .08 wire flux cored as a part of a package deal with a yes welder self darkening hood great hood also when I bought this welder. and that’s what I’ve been using. I was concerned because I was running it on 120v power not 220v. Wanted to weld so all I had laying around as I was excited to use it was a Simpson strong tie bracket probably 3/16 of an inch thick galvanized. Found a three-quarter inch conduit clip plugged in fed the wire connected ground clip turned it to its lowest setting presto. I was quite impressed not the best looking weld but it did not burn into the clip or melt everything around and didn’t spatter like crazy it did a really good job. Then I decided to play around wrote a little love note to my wife as she got this for me as a Christmas present. I’ve then decided to run it a little hotter didn’t wanna blow a breaker and welded a ring to the bracket at 50 on display. Somebody ran into the fence around my house before we moved in I decided to tackle welding it as it is a metal fence backed my truck up grabbed my come along pulled the fence back into place as best I could. Grabbed my 3500W generator 3000w continuous 3500w peak and 20 amp breaker. left the welder where it was set at 50amps changed the -3 on voltage to 0. Grabbed the mig gun and away I went with a crowd of cows watching pressure was on to get this right. Welds weren’t the best as my skills are a little rusty but at this point Amazing truly made me feel like a professional I could go anywhere and weld just about any light steel project. Oh and the chair another one I welded at its absolute lowest setting and before it was the chair that sat in the back hopefully no one would use now it’s the one I trust the most. This 1550D really works on flux wire haven’t tried anything else yet. I would definitely recommend this to anybody I know.
Finally got a chance to set it up and fool around with it, never used a mig welder before and after reading a few online tutorials I gave it a go, My welds were newbie welds but, it was dead easy to use, and I was able to weld two test plates together pretty effectively, with time and practice, I can see myself improving pretty rapidly, Looking forward to using this welder for future projects. As for the unit the RBM1550D looks to be pretty well made, nothing looks chintzy or of low quality from my perspective. It is packaged very well with the higher quality sturdy plastic foam rather than Styrofoam. Nice that is comes with the plug adapter in the box as well as a full reel of flux cored mig wire. would be nice if it came with a few more consumables though. and I haven’t seen where I can buy the ceramic tips used for flux mig welding (It comes with 3 ceramic and one metal one for gas mig welding) I was able to find on Amazon the copper conductor tips for flux welding so there’s that. I am pretty happy with my purchase and would most likely buy again from Reboot (An Amazon product, apparently).
The machine is super compact , about the size of 2 shoe boxes. I used it to weld up a gate so over 55ft of welding, I went through 7 1kg spools. This was all on flux cored MIG, I have not reviewed any of the other processes.
Positives:
Wire feeding was good
Includes porcelain tip for flux core
Included wire was great, better than the .030 Lincoln I was using
Super compact and light
Ability to run 220V
Gas shielded MIG and TIG support
Thinks that could be improved:
When using a Lincoln spool, the spool would always get hung up on the nuts that are on the hinge, using the included spool was OK however. My recommendation would be to move the hinge back 1/2″ inch to make more room for the spools.
The wire speed and voltage recommendations are buried in the last few pages of the manual, they’re not printed on a chart or easily accessible on the spool door.
The manual states that the machine will automatically stop when it hits its duty cycle but my machine never stopped, however it was apparent that the duty cycle was being hit because my welds after about 12 inches were starting to spatter more and more. If I took a 20 second break the machine would weld much better.
The digital display shows wirespeed on the flux cored MIG function, however the display is impossible to read in sunlight, it will work fine in an indoor environment.
When the settings were right, I had good penetration and great looking welds.
I would highly recommend the machine over any others in this price range.
Efficient, compact, 220 and has every thing else you need for big or little jobs!
I am not a professional welder. In fact, I am very much a novice. I have dabbled occasionally with welding, but I have needed the assistance of an experienced welder, and the use of their equipment each time. Since I want to become more proficient and more self-sufficient, I ordered this Reboot MIG Welder as a starting point, on the recommendation of my welder friend.
The kit is fairly complete, including nearly everything that is needed to weld using any of the supported modes. Right out of the box this welder is ready for gasless MIG welding – it even includes a spool of 1.0 mm flux cored wire. The build quality of this welder, and its attachments, is quite good. The display is easy to read, and the indicator lights are bright enough to be seen easily. I like the size of the welder. It is lightweight and compact. The main unit, without attachments or wire, only weighs 15.6 pounds, which makes it easy to carry around. Being both 110-volt and 220-volt capable makes this a versatile welder. For my purposes I expect to only use the 110-volt supply.
My welder friend helped me test the welder. We tested it using the MIG flux core (gasless) and the stick welding techniques, and only on a 110-volt power supply. Naturally, using the 110-volt power supply limits the capability of the welder, but for our tests, we used a relatively thin mild steel which was well within the capability of the welder. We used the supplied flux cored wire for the MIG portion of the tests, and it fed through the machine easily and without any issues. The weld quality and weld speed of both the MIG and the stick tests was surprisingly good. We did not run the welder long enough to gauge its Duty Cycle, but of course that will vary based on a myriad of factors.
To date I’ve only had the opportunity to use this MIG welder once, but I am quite pleased with it so far. It’s a really awesome little welder. I am very surprised by its performance. I like this little welder far more than I thought I would.
I used this welder to repair a somewhat large and weighty gate, and I was pleasantly surprised by how easy this welder is to use. And it did a really good job too. The welds turned out perfect. And with only about an hour of work, the gate is as good as new. And after a little grinding and some spray painting, you can’t tell the gate was ever broken.
Also, just so you know, while this unit is technically able to run on 110V, if at all possible, set yourself up to be able to run it on 220V. Running it on 110V won’t give you the power/heat you need for a lot of jobs/situations. Running it on 110V will definitely prevent you from taking advantage of this welder’s full potential.
Given the super low price of this welder compared to name-brand, “high-end” welders, I really don’t see how you can go wrong with this unit. I really do think it’s an exceptional welder for the price.
If you have any questions about this MIG welder, please feel free to ask, and I’ll try my best to answer. I hope you found this review helpful.
For the price, this welder seems to be made well. I haven’t tested it yet but I am super excited to use this machine! The company seems to stand behind their product as they provide a 3 year warranty. It seems to be a great machine for beginners. If you are looking at a mig130 type of welder, please take my advice and buy this machine instead. You get so much more!

I am a hobbyist just learning to weld. The unit is compact and light for the power. Standard Dinse 10-25 connectors give you a lot of replacement options for ground and electrode cables. I have not tried Lift TiG so I cannot speak to that and my MMA/Stick experience is that I need a lot of practice. Most of what I have done with this unit over the past 6 months has been flux core MiG. For thick metal this is about as simple as a hot glue gun. Thin metal you need to get your speed just right or you will burn through. From everything I have watched and read that is true for any flux core welder.
Now for the customer service aspect. After about 5 months of weekend warrior type use, the IGBTs burned out of the welder. Finding the correct email for was a little harder than I would have liked, but I did get a response that it would be taken care of and I was given some options. I went with replacing the unit. I got a brand new unit at my door in about 3 business days. They did request that I ship the defective unit back. That really is the only thing with the replacement that I would have liked to see handled better by sending me a return shipping label rather than me paying for return shipping.
For someone looking to learn, I would recommend this unit and the company. Is it a low price point and the customer service is much better than I would have expected for the cost.
Product arrived exactly as described. Easy assembly and setup. Would have liked a more descriptive manual, but easy to download more information from their website/store.
mig tig stick welding no complaint works well thanks reboo
This thing gets super hot.
I am a beginner and am used to a 120v mig welder. I turned this thing in and immediately started burning through the thin test metal I had. It will take some practicing but this thing is great.
Very nice little welder, perfect for your garage. Very well build and the shipping was fast.
Package was perfect and this machine work very good….thanks reboo
There’s a lot of confusion on how the product works and what is required to use it so thought I would clear up a few things for info sake.
1.This welder ships with everything shown in the last picture. Its in a ready to weld stick(arc) and mig flux core (no gas) state with a .030 tip installed. Just add flux core wire. (Exept for the possibilty of line 2 below)
2. Mine shipped with 2 identical .030/.035 smoth v groove wire drive wheels (smooth v is for solid gas wire) but I’ve read they can ship with a grooved wheel as well for flux core wire (better traction without crushing the wire). I have been using flux wire with the smooth wheel however with no trouble yet.
3. Obvious point but in will say anyway for new to welding people, for Gas Mig this unit will require an a mixed gas bottle and a regulator/flowmeter with about a 1/4″ id barbed output fitted for the supplied hose to welder. Also remember to switch front wires to set the welder to DC positive electrode for gas mig (flux core requires the wire feed to be DC negative). Install solid .030/035wire as well. (Change the tip to correct size wire as well. You can also weld with .26 wire no problem with this machine if you acquire a .6mm wire feed roller. Currently this is a good source for the exact roller needed. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/402621010886
4. Yes, the voltage and wire speed are married, and one changes with the other by default, BUT if you cycle the Volts/Inductance button, on the right side of the welder, to “V” you can reduce or increase the volts compared to wire speed in a range from -5v up to +5V which is more than enough to fine tune. For most welds the default Wire speed/volts relationship works great.
5. For TIG welding you will require a WP17 Tig Torch and a Gas Tank with Argon. Sold separately from many vendors including The Reboot Store. Important to note that this is a lower end unit and it does NOT control gas flow or arc voltage for TIG. Gas flow is done in this case by the valve on the TIG torch and welder in TIG mode will be constant on at full chosen voltage with a LIFT start method used to start the ARC. This means you will NOT use the arc trigger on any of the TIG torches (connection from torch will be left unused) and the torch gas line will connect directly to the gas bottle, not the welder as it has no gas flow control under TIG operation. You will simply connect the Tig Torch lead to the Neg- front plug and the ground lead to the Pos+ front plug . Your tig torch choice will have either a female or male treaded gas hose end, neither of which will work on a barbed hose connection, for the supplied clamped gas line (if you chose to buy a regulator with and output fitting to use a clamped line like supplied) and you will need to buy the correct output fitting for the threaded TIG gas line or remove the threaded end from the hose and clamp to the barbed output on the regulator.
I hope this helps some byers.

Purchased this product in January 2021 and when I turned it on this time, 3 sparks and it stopped working all together.
All I did different was blow it off with air when it was shut down
Said it was under warranty, but yet to get a hold of anyone.
Was very happy with it until this problem.
I bought this mig welder to do projects in the shop
I had another one of 110 volts and it doesn’t even compare to this one
I am extremely please how it welds and performs also the wire speed adjust automatically
Over all a very good mig
What little I have used it I feel it is a marvelous machine. The instructions for the settings could be a little more detailed and I am a seasoned welder. The digital readout needs to be improved as it’s hard to read . . . . But I do like the welder. Employee ERIC was VERY helpful in resolving issues.
This is the very first weld straight out of the box. I didnt clean it up for the review. I highly recommend this for a beginner. Awesome welder for a bargain price!
My husband needed this on a job site and says it works as it should. Shipping was surprisingly fast all things considered.
This welder was a gift for my husband his old welder wore out and he needed one asap as he was in the middle of a progect our local dealer could not get one for several weeks and certainly not at this great price He seems to be very happy with it very surprised with how well it works and how light it is . Thanks again Amason for safeing the day.
I orignally ordered a MIG150 and it was “OK” at best (plastic drive unit construction, no serrated drive wheel for flux core wire, gun an hose assembly not replaceable)
This MIG160 is a completely different machine it has the serrated drive wheel for the flux core wire, a replacebale gun and hose assembly, and the drive unit seems solid.
Ran it for 3 hours on the weekend and and I’m happy so fa
Works as it should so far. Price is right. Will know more once we try the tig used the other features flux core, solid wire with the mig mix gas, stick welding good so fa
Bought it to do some work on my car, and the welder loved it so much he bought it from me, so I will have to buy myself another.
Hierzu zhlen folgende Schutzausrstungen:
Schweierschutzhandschuhe,
EU Stecker, also kein Kraftstrom Kabel.
Update 2: They quickly shipped me the missing pieces and everything works great! Love the quality of the welder for the price. Will be purchasing the TIG torch for it soon!
Update: They reached out to me immediately and at currently working with me to get things straightened out!
Bought it for a weekend project. The ad says that it comes with a ground clamp, mig torch, wire, ect but when it arrived there was nothing in the box except the welder itself.
This welder is a good buy works extremely well for the price only downfall does not come with tight torch
All as to be expected when unboxing everything is there also all around good bang for your buck welder .
