My boyfriend loved this keyboard when I gave it to him for Christmas this year. He was over the moon about all the different light settings the keyboard has to offer and definitely seems worth the money. It’s got weight to it so it doesn’t seem like a cheap piece of plastic. He has used it almost every time he is playing on his Xbox so far and he hasn’t complained about one thing. Definitely worth the buy.

I use this for my pc, for gaming and doing homework. It is quite loud if you’re typing fast I think. Yeh 😀 otherwise happy with it.
Ton of variety in color or pattern, I kept debating on if i should get it or not and am glad I did. It helps keep space on the desk for other things, may take a but to adjust I’d your past keyboard was big.

    Idk what to put here

I love the clickity clack of this keyboard. You can set the colors in soooo many different ways. Save the instructions because there are keyboard shortcuts that turn features on and off.

A really solid keyboard. Got the blue switch one, cuz I like to annoy my friends, haha.
It’s easy to clean and hot swappable.
Plus, RGBs, but I made mine white solid to go along with my white setup.

    Great keyboard!

This is a very nice keyboard if you are on a budget and has a solid build quality, and the LEDs are very beautiful. I had a problem with my original rk61 and would not connect, but received a replacement, and works just as well. Hopefully, I do not experience the problem again and it should not be very common.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI saw a lot of reviews about this keyboard. And their keyboard doesn’t have a soundproof sheet or something. But this keyboard is already installed. I was shocked that it only cost 69$ for a modded version keyboard. Now I need to buy some keycaps and switches. I think this keyboard is perfectly good. I strongly recommend this keyboard. If you are considering buying 60% well-made products.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis keyboard is beautiful and worth the money, but I did not receive the USB-C (Thankfully I was lent one), nor did I receive the key-puller. The box did look in poor condition, but the keyboard was in good condition and works well. The color is more vibrant in a dark room, but when if you have the lights on, it’s not very bright. Good keyboard though, just would’ve appreciated getting everything included!

The keyboard is sturdy and the best you can get in the price range. But this was my first time with 60% keyboard and some of the keys are just annoying to be dealt with since you have to use the Fn key as well to use it such as the ‘/’ keys

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI will preface this review by saying that the Rk61 in itself is not a bad keyboard to use stock. Coming from a membrane Corsair board that was more expensive at the time (K55 gamer focused) the Rk stock didn’t disappoint. Let’s start with the pros:
    – Detachable cable for customization options
    – Hotswap pcb
    – Stabilizers came factory lubed and didn’t need to be balanced(I still holee modded but not needed imo) and stabs have 0 rattle on plate without modding
    – Disassembly is a breeze and uses normal screws!
    – Rgb?
And now the cons before I dilute this review with personal preference
-switches(Rk red) are more scratchy and snappy sounding than gateron but my main gripe is the weak clips that attach to plate. The ktt switches I swapped stay on while swapping keycaps whereas the Rk switches come off the board before the keycaps release. Easy to replace but some switch sets cost as much as this board
    – Keycaps. They’re okay, hollow sounding due to being shine through and cheaper abs plastic. I’d be okay to keep them but I learned oem profile is not for me.
As for other cons it’s truly subjective as some will like the sound of a plastic case vs aluminum vs wood. So here’s my list of alterations done to the rk61 to make it royal to my preference.

    – Went from tray mount style to a gasket o ring mount by cutting all the supports from the inside of the case and wrapping an oring around the pcp/plate. This makes the typing feel more uniform while giving the board much more flex when pressing keys
    – Swapped Rk reds with lubed ktt Kang whites
    – Pe foam between switches and pcb
    – memory foam inside case to dampen sound
    – Stabilizers lubed and balanced(didn’t need adjustment)
    – a layer of pennies shrink wrapped into columns along the bottom of case for weight

At the end of the day, this keyboard is a entry level budget board that will provide a platform for you to explore the world of mechanical keyboards. If you want something plug and play, this will do but you get what you pay for. If you want an affordable board to tinker with to find your personal preference; I recommend this board.

I ended up using the case as a template to make my own custom wood case with the same mounting system.

This keyboard rules. It looks, feels, and sounds amazing. I’ve realized that honestly I’d prefer to have at least a 65% keyboard, but for a 60% this is perfect. My only complaint is that I can’t use QMK/SonixQMK and therefore can’t use OpenRGB, but nothing at this price is going to come with QMK so it can’t be faulted.

Perfect keyboard for people who have an unhealthy obsession with layers.

I’ve had a lot of keyboards over the decades. Most recently an RK68 Pro. I switched from the RK68 Pro with Gateron brown switches to this RK61 non-Pro with red switches. The typing experience is far superior on the RK61! It’s smoother, quieter, and significantly less expensive. The RK68 Pro had janky wireless connectivity, so it was useless with the receiver inches from the keyboard. This RK61 is smooth as butter, wired, and has tons of lighting options. Also, I’ve never used the RK software with these keyboards. I don’t like having extra software for peripherals. Thankfully it’s not needed.

I got to say, I love this keyboard and don’t have many complaints about it other than the fact that the keys are a bit sensitive to the point where I end up fat-fingering keys while gaming. Other than that I have no complaints, Its a good looking keyboard, feels really good and for the price I can say is one the best budget keyboard out there.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our Usersin the video i went through
    – what’s comes in the box (switches + key cap remover)
    – taking of and putting on a switch and key cap
    – a typing test (1:07 in case you just wanted to hear it)
    – and the rgb options (i’m not sure i went through all of them in the video but it gives you a rough idea)
(I got the red switches). This keyboard is the perfect starter keyboard as it comes hot swappable with a cable, 4 extra switches and a key cap + switch remover. The keyboard itself comes with a lot of different rgb colour, touch sensitive, and brightness options. I would definitely recommend.

Finding the software for RGB was a chore as the RK website doesn’t have it. The plastic is a bit cheap feeling so I modded with rubber inside. The ABS keycaps are junk and I replaced them immediately. Overall a good, cheap board.

Keyboard is very good value for money and gaming, however only minor problem was that it has many different functions, which means that finding the right symbol (for example: #, @) is often not on the key that it is written on the key cap. Otherwise great keyboard

This thing is insane, it has a ton of differant colours. And they are insanely bright, vibrant and Beautiful.

PROS: very vibrant and lots of colour settings
Very lightweight and easy to pack/stole somewhere

CONS: the one thing and one thing only that i dont like about this keyboard is the keycaps, they are total shit. But its very simple to replace them with cooler ones anyways so ita not that bad of a problem. The other thing is that the cord is long af but you can just tie it together with a hair tie so its fine.

This keyboard sounds pretty good for the money. The space bar is a tad loud but apart from that, the rest of the keys sounds great, considering the price. The rbg looks great and there are many options to choose from. Overall a great budget keyboard and feel great to use.

This is the first mechanical keyboard that I’ve owned and so far I love it! The only thing I don’t care for is how close the keys are to each other but after getting some use in on it, it is not bad! I love how you can change out the Gateron switches to whatever you like. I bought a 9 button Gateron test kit and I decided I like the clicky feel so I bought some green switches and swapped them out. It worked great and I can swap back to the reds whenever I want. The other thing I dont care for is the function keys being mixed in with the normal keys so I have to press FN and Enter or FN and CTRL to switch between arrow keys or media and function keys. Overall I give this a 5 out of 5. I recommend this to any of my gamer friends on a budget.

I would recommend this keyboard to absolutely anybody who is a gamer but needs easier access to the keys. The keys themselves feel and sound nice along with amazing backlighting to make the keys pop. This keyboard however isn’t without flaw though however most of the flaws are very minor. For instance there is somewhat of a limitation on the RGB you can have. Obviously you are given a good amount of options however many of these options you will most likely never use as they aren’t practical. This is of course not a huge deal but its still somewhat a problem. There is also of course the key design. This problem isn’t really a problem specific to this keyboard however if you are getting a 60% just know that playing any game that often uses Function keys is going to be much more difficult and inconvenient. Once again this isn’t even necessarily a problem it’s just something to know when you’re buying a 60% keyboard. Overall if you are looking for an affordable high quality keyboard this is an amazing option that you should take into high consideration. I have used this keyboard for 4 months with next to no issues it’s a beautiful piece that I once again would recommend to anyone.

I have been wanting a 60% keyboard for a very long time and was debating between the Royal Kludge and the Anne Pro. I’m so happy I went with the Royal Kludge Rk61 because not only was it on the cheaper end, but it’s such a great keyboard in general! The RBGs are amazing, so many light options and you can make it as bright or as dim as you want. I got it with the blue switches, and while it’s on the louder side, it’s not bad sounding at all. I mainly use it for work, so I haven’t tested it out for gaming, but there’s no lag at all and works very smoothly. Only downside is that there isn’t any bluetooth option, but it’s not that big of a deal in the end. Overall, if you are looking for a 60% keyboard I say get this. It’s a great mechanical keyboard that won’t break the bank, it’s slanted for people who have sensitive wrists like me, and runs super smooth!

I liked the feel of the keycaps, and i liked the sound of the blue switchs. The package came 4 days early when i got free shiping witch was a great touch. I would also like to note that the backlighting on this keyboard i can see in the daylight when gaming. I am using this keyboard on an Xbox one and it works for some games, here are the some of the ones i know: Fortnite, Minecraft, and Call of duty warzone are some of the ones i knowl; but i can not guarantee it will work for any other games. As like any other 60% it is vary portable so I can put in into my backpack for school. The keyboard has a nice click when ever you click it. (blue switchs) but that pretty much sumes up my review

I bought this keyboard because I wanted to get into “custom keyboards” and if you are think about buying this keyboard, its great! All the bad reviews are just people who got unlucky and their keyboard came faulty.
For a mostly plastic keyboard the build quality is great, no flex, and the case and keycaps are made out of sturdy plastic. The only thing is the keycaps are made out of abs meaning that the paint on the keycaps will wear out of time but that’s not a problem if your going to be upgrading your keycaps as most upgrade sets are PBT which have lettering that is the keycap itself and has no paint. Other things to mention about this keyboard includes a hot-swap PCB, the keyboard comes with a keycap puller and a switch puller and yes, it does support 5 pin switches. The RGB on this keyboard is pretty bright and has nice effects. If you are wondering about how the stabilizers come stock they are lubricated very well and was little rattle considering $50. Overall this is a great keyboard.

This is honestly the best budget keyboard for gaming, I know its not all that cheap for some people but this is worth every dollar. To start off, there are many different rgb settings and colors you can choose from and they are decently bright and if you wanted to change the brightness you could, and this doesnt require any software. I personally like red switches so I got them and they sound pretty nice, not to forget this keyboard is hot-swapable so if you want to change the switches then go right ahead. If your not the person that likes a lot of branding on your gaming accessories then this is great it only has a small logo on the front of the base. Ive found it easy to play without a wrist rest. This keyboard is also completely compatible with a console, it works with ps5, xbox series x/s, xbox one and ps4. Nothing else to say except this is an amazing budget keyboard.

Golden Review Award: 42 From Our UsersFor some reason I’ve always felt frustrated using a full size keyboard. It took up way too much space for keyboard functions I barely used (the massive number pad was so unnecessary). But, this keyboard fixed all of those problems!

Let me tell you, the keyboard size does a big difference. I now have more room to write on my desk and overall it looks more aesthetically pleasing. It even kinda makes my desk space a lot bigger.

If you are a student and a gamer, go for the red switches. It was tempting to get the blue but they would probably be way too noisy for school work. The red is okay when you get used to it, it’s not too loud yet not too quiet.

The only drawbacks to this keyboard is that the cord isn’t in the center where it was listed to be and the color. It would’ve been perfect if it did since I could run it through this opening in my monitor’s stand. As for the color, its more of a warm-toned white which doesn’t exactly match the mercury white products I have (they are cool-toned).

Overall, would recommend getting this. Multiple people on TikTok got me to buy this and I don’t regret it one bit.

Does the job & takes up less space

Very good for gaming and fun to use due to the fact of it’s backlight modes, software, brightness and much more and the switches are from their own stock and they’re shockingly . I bought the red switches and they’re really good but way too loud yet it is the quietest compared to the rest which was very shocking. I honestly love this keyboard and it is definitely worth the price!(Review wrote by my son)

I would rate this keyboard 9/10 for gaming. Red switches are nice for minimal effort key presses. Tons of color options for the keyboard back lights, as well as pattern options. Big plus that you can change the color settings without using an app.

For typing 7/10. Typing with the red switches can be a bit difficult sometimes, due to the light key presses. I personally have a 60 wpm typing speed, and found myself struggling with the red switches. Sometimes you aren’t sure if the key stroke registered or not. The 60% layout can be hindering for someone who is going to focus mainly on typing as well. Exclusion of the dedicated question mark key, and some others can be bothersome at times. None of this is at fault of the keyboard manufacturers, just the downside of 60% keyboard layouts.

I strongly recommend this keyboard for gaming. If you game and type, I would maybe recommend getting the 10 keyless version instead of the 60%. If you are focusing primarily on typing and productivity, definitely get the 10 keyless version, or full sized keyboard.

Overall really happy with this purchase.
