I have now had this pan for 5 months and it is used at least once a day on my induction hob. Heat distribution is the best I have ever seen. Non stick surface is fantastic and still looks like the day I took it out the box.
So far its the best pan I have ever had and this is comparing it to the expensive manufacturers. Would thoroughly recommend
Just perfect… We have spent so much time buying cheaper pans – which have been useless – it is so good to find one that actually works BUT YOU NEED TO DO WHAT THE MANUFACTURER TELLS YOU TO DO BEFORE USING – and it is sturdy – check the weight before you buy. We have used Robert Welch knives for many years and they are superb and we will now replace with his pans when we need to. Very impressed.
Although it is quite heavy it is possibly the best non-stick pan I have had. Wonderfully easy to clean and a good size. I use it for frying fish, mostly.
Liked.. that it’s not made in China. Made by established craftsmen ( and women I daresay).
This is a great Frying pan, fairly heavy but that is a bonus of it heating up well. I use gas and I need to turn down the flame from previous pans, so thats a bonus. The heat distribution is edge to edge so that’s perfect. Cleaning very very easy, just a cloth in washing up liquid works well. I love this frying pan especially as it’s perfect for pancakes apart from being a tad heavy for tossing pancakes.
Had this as a replacement to Tefal pan and its so much better. Heat distribution is more even, the surface is better and stronger. Great to be able to use it in the oven as well.
his pan has a lovely handle and has a great non stick
Seemed a bit pricey, but I was really pleased with the quality of this pan. It transfers heat in seconds. Cleaning is so quick and easy. Was it worth the money?. YES. YES. YES.
A quality pan. A little on the heavy side, but that’s how a quality pan needs to be to produce a solid, even distribution of heat. The non-stick coating appears to be a heavy duty one, not easily damaged. Not like other cheaper pans that soon ‘wear away’ to leave an uneven heat spread…and sticks. This feels like a quality item. Thinking of getting another size, too.
A really heavy frying pan which certainly looks as if it will be hard wearing and do a reliable job. I chose it because I have been so impressed with the quality of other Robert Welch items I’ve bought. Although an expensive outlay initially, it replaces at least 3 cheaper frying pans whose non stick linings have not listed and combined expense would’ve exceeded this. Very pleased.
Great product worth every penny! Distributes the heat extremely well! It’s a strong heavy pan not for the faint hearted but it one of e easiest pans I’ve ever had to clean.
This is my second pan from this range.Loved it so much that got a different size. Amazing non stick ability with minimum oil and such an easy way to clean.Got rid of all the other pans I had. Thoroughly recommended.
Love all Robert Welch products, yes they are a tad expensive, but once u got them u will not have to buy again, the quality is superb and so easy to clean, nothing sticks fantastic pans
Fantastic frying pan from Robert Welch, I got a induction hob and these Robert Welch pans heat up so much quicker then my old ones and they are so non stick, and so easy to clean, they might be expensive but once bought u got them for a lifetime, absolutely love Robert Welch products
Very happy not even scrambled eggs stick to it i don t use oil anymore and no toxic teflo
I was sceptical about spending so much on a pan when I am at best a reluctant cook but this is actually worth it in my opinion. The pan distributes the heat more efficiently so the heat can be turned down, I would estimate using a quarter to a third lower heat and that will be saving gas too. The non stick performs brilliantly and it’s an absolute dream to clean. The outer stainless steel gains minor surface scratches during normal use but it is solid and well made. I am hoping for many years of use out of it, unlike my usual cheaper pans – so far I am very pleased.
Very happy with this pan. Probably best one I ever had. Heat distribution is perfect! Heats up very quick and nonstick coating is top level. (Excalibur is top of the top)
Very high quality product. Outstanding non stick properties and excellent even heat distribution.
Wow. Bought this for my better half and he’s more than happy with it. Really bought to get the temperature right for browning steaks. Works perfectly. No complaints about the cleanup either. Sorry I don’t do the cleanup either – although I ask every time if I can help.
This frying pan looks pretty cool, which is nice, but obviously not the most important thing. It feels sturdy, but isn’t overly heavy.
I’ve been using this pan fairly regularly on my induction hob for the past six weeks or so and it still looks brand new inside and out. The non-stick coating has, so far, been top notch. With other non-stick pans I’ve needed to re-season long before the six week mark, but not this one – it’s still as non-stick as it was the first time I used it.
Very satisfied so far.
Incredible quality, sturdy weight and a true non-stick surface. Cooking and frying anything on this has been a dream. Just remember not to use a super high heat, high is enough as the conductivity of this pan is second to none.
Excellent product, doesn’t even need oil to cook meat it is so non stick.
Lightweight and great for dishwasher too
Nothing sticks, not even sausages!! Like the saucepans ,good sturdy frying pan.
Just a pity it doesn’t have a lid.
I have enjoyed using this frying pan.
It made with 18/10 stainless steel with a copper/stainless steel 3 ply base and a Excalibur non stick coating of PFOA free non stick fluorpolymers. This gives me added confidence in its safety as I have read of health risks with high levels exposure to PFOA including cancer.
I have bought other Robert Welch products in the past with 18/10 steel and have found them not to rust like other cheaper products have. The materials used in this frying pan seem to be of a high quality and the non stick coating appears thicker than my old frying pan. It also distributes heat evenly as far as I can tell. It is much heavier than my old frying pan and at first I found this straining on my arm when serving with a spatula onto my plate, but now I have come accustomed to the weight and found it easier to serve food that on first use.
Ultimately I think there is a trade off here between use of high quality materials for durability and heat exchange versus weight for easier use. The frying pan is attractive and I am so far very happy with it. It comes with a 25 year guarantee against manufacturing defects and the Excalibur non stick coating has a 10 year guarantee.
So far, this pan has been perfect. Really non stick, quite thick and seems solid and durable (although only time will tell re the latter – it has only been 2 months for us)
Solid, great quality, heavy pan. Just what I needed. Recommended.
best frying pan i’ve ever cooked with. even heat distribution and perfect weight.
