This is not just for fun but a quite education stuff as well. If your kids loves experimenting then this for him/her. You need to help with some programming stuff again depends on your kids knowledge level. The is is big enough to get the real robot feeling.

This interesting robot arrived very quick and very well packed. It is very well made and very qualitative and also sturdy. It can resist very well if dropped or pushed…you know how kids play. His name is Carle and i just want to list a couple of things that i found to be interesting about this robot and all that it offers:
    – It can be controlled by phone APP, remote controller, voice command and gravity sensor
-The app supports 56 different actions in total and edits max. 202 times of actions in one program
-Carle acts as a Bluetooth speaker to play unlimited stories and songs after connecting to the phone; he can also dance, do gymnastics, walk, slide, record, communicate, etc.
-Carle can express his feelings on an LED face in different Emoji’s; 9 flexible and powerful motors ensure the kids’ robot to make complicated actions smoothly to respond when touching his head, simulate human performance and promote the interaction with kids well.
    -Toy robots with FCC and CPC certificates are harmless;
-They have an unique big size of (15.8x11x4.7 inches)
I as an adult enjoyed playing with it…imagine how happy a child would be. I am very impressed by the complexity of this toy robot…i am truly overwhelmed with the number of actions this toy can do. I am gladly recommending it to anyone…no matter of the age because it’s an amazing product. No one would regret buying this…it is truly worth the price….every single penny.

Comes in really nice, designed box, which would be great for birthday or Christmas present (Doesn’t look cheap).
The robot itself looks great and doesn’t feel cheap either.
    Feels sturdy and durable.
Can be controlled three different ways, either by voice control, a downloadable app or the remote provided.
The robot comes with a variety of movements, actions and facial expressions.
    It has a decent battery.
Can connect via Bluetooth to play music and sounds, also records your voice and sound and integrates them by repeating what has been said.
Lots of fun to be had with this and great to keep kids busy!
In regard to the price, they could be cheaper ones out there, but this is lots of fun and very enjoyable too, so no complaints from me.

We bought Carle as a joint present for our two eldest grandchildren, this intelligent little robot can be controlled in a variety of ways, such as through a downloadable app, the remote control, voice commands or the built-in gravity sensor. He can sing, dance, tell stories and even be programmed.

They love to input various sequences of commands through the app, such as trying to plan a route from an obstacle course they make out of toys and pillows for the robot to follow and complete.

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersThankfully, I was only paying half towards this, quote, “amazing!”, “awesome!”, and “brilliant!”, gift. (Pretty cool vocabulary for a 7 year old!).

From my point of view, this USB charged robot is well made, in strong plastic. Movements and articulation are very well ordered, voice control, app. and electronics very good. The on-board battery gives a good two hours before the bot needs regenerating. (Note that the controller uses 2x AA. Make sure you’ve bought some).

The accompanying app. was easy to set up, connect and apply. As per usual, so much easier for a 7 y/o to understand and use almost immediately.

Standing at 40cms, 15.8″, I believe that this is one of the larger bots on the market. But, please note that it’s nowhere near as big as it’s presented in some of the advertising. Somebody call the ombudsman !

Overall, It’s a very nice piece of tech for kids of the recommended age group.

    How much !!??

I can not recommend this robot enough! Obviously about all the features you can read in the description but this toy is just super smart! Helps massively to develop and improve a good behaviour in a kid, teaches emotions, has different voices and can do so many commands as well. Can be a lovely company for kids, entertainment is brilliant, charging time acceptable. App is easy to install and understand also navigate through, great size, well made, durable and sturdy. Our robot has already a name- Pixo and it is a best friend of my nephew who can not get enough of him. Great for learning, keeping kid occupied forever, battery could last a little longer though but for this price and quality this is a brilliant deal!

This arrived in a glossy black and blue branded box with images of the robot on the side along with a carry handle on top. Once opened the robot is sandwiched between bespoke moulded plastic with an insert for the remote control, and the USB to mini USB charging lead tucked in the side. The user manual is in the bottom of the box along with a disclaimer, safety guide, and a quick start card. All well packed, protected and presented.

First impressions: the robot (Carle) looks great with silver, white and blue detailing, and everything appears very well finished and high quality. The manual is all in English and in my opinion very well set out and spread out, taking you through step by step detail without cramming too much on a single page. It breaks down all the controls very well with linked diagrams and pictures for easy identification and function details.

I placed the robot on charge with the supplied lead and fitted two AA batteries (not supplied) into the remote control and then had a good read through the manual. I put the Smart application onto my phone and once the robot was fully charged I tried it out. The robot has fourteen voice commands it will respond to some resulting in multiple random actions connected to the command and others with a single function such as go forward. I did find the voice command functions a bit hit and miss with some working really well and others hard to get the response.

The remote control works really well with all the functions being clearly detailed and labelled in the manual. The Smart application connects via Bluetooth and gives you all the functions of the remote control, and is sectioned off which makes them a lot easier to navigate and control with a better visual guide for programming along with saving options. The robot has a record message button which does work well although in my opinion would have been better to just have a command/button on the remote control to record a message and replay without having to press a button on the robot.

I put the robot back on charge and once it had fully charged I introduced it to my daughter who was delighted. While she played with it using the remote control I put the Smart application on her pad, and once I had linked the Bluetooth up she started controlling it with that, and the voice commands. The robot will only connect to one device at a time so I removed it from my phone and now the robot instantly connects to my daughter’s pad. She has been able to use the programming feature which is very simplified and easy to understand even for a six year old.

Overall in my opinion this is a fun toy with some educational value. The voice commands are a bit hit and miss and I did find it needed charging after around 30 minutes of consistent use. It does claim 2-3 hours playtime but that may be based on just telling stories and not doing gymnastics. I thought the manual very well laid out and easy to follow even for a child along with the programming feature simplified also easy for a young child to use. The robot seems very durable and robust so should last well, and my daughter loves it.

Fun toy with some educational value

Made from a great manufacturer which I’ve brought plenty of gift for loved ones in the past. The robot itself arrived well packaged in a lovely gift box which would wrap up well as a present. Inside is instructions for use and setup and the robot itself. The robot is well made and was fairly easy to get the hand of 🙂 it’s very interactive, large in size and is voice activated to do commands and learn. You can also download an app to help add extra commands etc. Works really well, has both an educational and fun side too it and I really love the led style face too. That’s very cool and different to other ones on the market. You can let it show emotions like a human and then the next moment let it full on dance with all the joint it has. Very impressive and modern bit of kit 🙂

This Ruko Smart Robot looks great and generally is a nice toy with plenty to keep little ones entertained.

Build quality is solid and I can see this standing up to a lot of use. Even the controller is chunky. The robot needs to be plugged in to a USB port (plug not included) with the micro USB lead in the box to charge before first use and the controller needs 2 AA batteries to work. You can also download the app to control the robot from your phone but this only works when the robot and controller are both on and the controller is better IMO anyway.

The robot moves its arms and legs and has an LCD display for a face with plenty of different expressions, though it tends to use them randomly. It can read stories (such as the Princess and the Pea, the Ant and the Grasshopper) and the voice is clear though it does sometimes have issues with the odd word being translated wrong, it’s obviously a Chinese child doing the narration.

There are 2 music modes included with one more a dancing mode and the other playing mostly nursery rhymes. There is some odd included content like Maroon 5’s Memories about drinking or some odd dance numbers with slightly suggestive lyrics, though most would go over kids heads to be fair. It’s a case of lost in translation, I guess, because the music itself matches.

There is limited movement in the limbs but what is there is good, both hands can be raised at different levels and the robot can also wave and sway side to side, which was impressive. Dancing is fun to watch as well.

Voice commands are hit and miss, often it would react to random stuff I was saying to the family or even the dog (which, to be fair, gave us and the dog some entertainment). Likewise, the supposed facial recognition didn’t seem to work. the controller seems to use IR as well, which means it needs to be pointed directly at the robot to work.

At over 100 (at time of writing) this is an expensive toy but despite a few odd choices for songs and a few slightly mis-spoken words in the stories it’s a good, solid toy with a surprising range of things to do and interact with.

Some questionable content and presentation for the price

This robot came well packaged in it’s own box, it would make a great gift.
It’s much larger then I was expecting, which is a good thing! It seems pretty robust and well made. It all comes assembled which is a bonus!
Currently it is 103.49, with an added 30 off voucher too. It’s ordered price is 129.99 which I would not be happy to pay so it’s good there’s money off at the moment.
There’s so many things you can do with this robot, it’s very entertaining for the kids! You can work it with an app, voice control or the remote it comes with. The voice control is the favourite in my house.
The robot sing songs, moves around, tells stories and dances. It’s very interactive and entertaining.
My son hasn’t quite mastered how to use it himself but he’s having fun learning. It’s a great toy, and for the price it is now I’d happily reccomend it.

Wow, when Carle arrived I was surprised at the size of the box and even more surprised when I realised that the robot was actually the size of the box. He is huge, with chunky arms and legs, extremely stable on my wood floor. The remote control which requires 2 AA batteries allows you to programme in multiple actions. Download the app to your phone and it will allow you to control the movements, he connects via bluetooth to play music and books. He dances, tells stories can mimic what you say and interact to emotions. This robot has so much going on and will take some time to master all he can do. A toy that becomes a companion.
129.99 at the time of this review if far from cheap, but the build quality is excellent. What an amazing toy for a Christmas or birthday prese

    Amazing beautifully made robo

This has had an unexpected result in the fact that my child now knows how coding can affect a physical device directly and what changes will do to that coding. There is a very obvious causality to any adjustments made, even though it is basic.

The robot comes as a self contained robot with a wireless remote that allows you to not only control it like you would any other remote controlled devices but also to program it to do various skills and tasks.

The robot shows off it’s emotions through an LED display in it’s head which displays different variations of eye and mouth emulating emotions, our young autistic child loves this part when the other children are playing with it.

You can also use it as a mobile speaker as once connected via Bluetooth it can play anything from your phone directly through it.

With app control, a remote, Bluetooth and the ability to program different functions there are a lot of chances to get your kids involved with full on play with this robot.

This smart robot is good fun to play with and I love all the dancing it does but it does require patience to learn how to use it and it has a few little flaws.
Firstly, the robot is a nice large 38cm tall and has wide feet to give it stability when moving around plus the general build quality seems pretty god and you can pick it up around the wait with ease to move it.
I was very impressed with the amount of articulation in the arms as you get up/down, out to the side, elbow bend so this was great fun to make routines with. The legs don’t move much just basic steps and rolls around which is fine and does the job it was designed for.
Voice control is basic but does work when you learn the commands and the app gives a lot of functions and was super easy to Bluetooth connect but it’s a bit tricky to understand. The controller is good for moving it around but feels cheap and I was annoyed that it didnt come with the 2x AA batteries required or a little screwdriver to open the battery compartment to put them in.
The robot is better as its rechargeable which is a great feature however it is let down by still using the old micro-USB port and cable rather than the newer more universal USB-C port.
Overall, it’s been great fun playing with it despite at first me thinking this is quite complicated for a child’s toy and younger ones will struggle but will love the dancing and aerobics. Priced at 129.99 though it’s very expensive and needs to be below 100 to make it any sort of good value.

good fun but requires patience and its a bit expensive

Firstly, I was surprised at just how large this robot is at 15.8 inches. It looks great and feels well made and durable, as it will need to be in the hands of a child.

The robot can either be controlled via the app, remote control or voice command. You’re able to change the actions and movements easily, which are smooth and responsive. You’re also able to change the facial expressions, with 48 different ones in total.

You can also connect your phone via Bluetooth to play music or stories. The speaker isn’t the greatest, but it’s fine for what it is.

You also have the ability to record sounds and the robot will repeat what was said, which is a fun added feature.

With 2-3 hours of use from a single charge, I do find it needs to be charged quite often, depending on how long it’s used for.

All in all, it’s a great toy, albeit on the expensive side at 129.99, which was the price at the time of writing. Although, there is currently a 40 off voucher on offer.

I hope you found this review helpful.

    A great interactive robot.

This is a highly recommended large robot toy for you to play with your children. It is programmable and very interactive. Premium quality build construction. It has a wide range of programmed motions and allows you to play recorded messages and music. Amazingly it even has voice and face recognition! I think it is a good educational toy for children.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersOh my god, this is the best gift I gave my son. I brought this Ruko Robot which is very smart. This robot toy works with remote, voice control and App control. Generally, robot toys will work only with remote but this toy can work on voice control too which is the most attractive feature and my son is thoroughly enjoying it. My son is spending most of his time only with this toy. This toy is able to sing songs, dance and tell stories. The other features of this robot toy are it can walk and can slide too. During these winter times, it’s most useful to keep the kids active all time without feeling bored. Nice build quality, no sharp edges does last long too. Easy to operate by adults or kids and have fun. It is the perfect solution to give entertainment to my hero.

    Best assistance & toy eve

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersCarle is a big robot compared to others I have seen so far and it comes already assembled.
The build in quality is good, it is made from thick plastic.
It reads bedtime stories and also record personalised messages up to 45 seconds can be recorded.
It can perform 58 movements, plays pre-recorded music which brings more enthusiasm, it moves, rotates, responds to human voice and make facial expression on the led face.
It comes with a remote(mind you will need batteries for it) which is useful to operate the robot and also works with an app that has to be installed(connectivity is through bluetooth). At the back of the head there is a loud speaker and has adjustable volume. Charging time takes around 2 hours and on a full battery can perform up to 3 hours.

Overall experience? Good, besides being a fun toy, it also can educate the children.
    Good purchase
