Our IMOU Bullet 2C-D arrived promptly and well packaged. Looks like good quality.
It will only connect to 2.4g Wifi which I thought our router was so that took a few hours of frustrtation. Once I’d reset the router (and upset SWMBO) the camera was connecting to the router but took several attempts before I could get the phone to connect. I managed to lock the camera as the Safety Code on the label (Keep a record as that’s the only place I found it) is in about size 6 font. Somehow next day it went in after displaying messages about “unable to connect”. I’ve put up outside and quality is better than our swan CCTV of a few years ago and night vision excellent. If you turn the “Human” detection off it seems to disable all notifications. At 3:00 this morning I turned the detection level down to 1 as I didn;t need to know it was raining! I’ve now got to see if it will connect to MIL’s Wifi so we can keep an eye on their door and make sure the bin gets put out. I’ll be getting another as we’re on heightened alert after one of the family was seriously injured in a burglary and his CCTV has been extremely useful. Our’s is all roof mounted so ID’ing offenders isn’t brilliant. 4 stars only as the instructions aren’t the best so you need to work out what you can and cant change. Not much on youtube beyond setting up.
Absolutely brilliant bit of kit, bought to keep in guinea pigs outdoor area in shed and it works fantastic. Great WiFi coverage, brilliant picture and very clever app to use it with. Can change all settings from type of Night Vision to motion detection sensitivity, darkness level for lights and the lights themselves are great just a nice warm not too bright light but perfect to make everything out. Couple of suggestions for app, allow spotlight just to come on and stay on rather than just flash and have the night light type selection from the home screen. Fantastic for the price though might add another to the house as you can flick through them all on the app at same time
Easy to install if you link to your network via ethernet cable. Cut Ethernet cable off before installing in situ. Effective in use via sd card. Active area works well as does notifications. Has a tendency to focus too closely on near items at the expense of those in the distance. Birds passing by can trigger detection system.
I have been using it for over a month. No problem at all. The app works great too.
Decent addition to the looc cameras we already had. Needs recharge more often than you think. Not watertight!
The camera is amazing, pictures are clear during the night as they are during the day. Only downside is that the motion sensors pick up vehicles driving past, cats, birds and insects despite it saying human detection! But other than that it’s been brilliant and has given me peace of mind so I’m able to sleep that bit better now.
Camera picture quality is very good But camera has no built in led light and camera alarm is not working without subscriptio
Easy to set up once you have the App, our 5th Imou camera, genuine manufacturer interest with alerts to warn of others attempts to log in (2nd ipad in this instance). Also works on own hotspot so wi fi is not allways needed. As good as the more expensive one available. Great picture
The app functionality is fantastic , the picture and sound is great
I love this gadge
Cannot say enough good things about this camera the picture quality is perfect even on night vision and it covers my large front garden my neighbours home and most of the street too.
It picks up everything including sound which is a bonus and is very easy to set up.
I especially like the fact it will send notifications to your phone whenever motion is detected so I can view whats happening I real time.
For the price it’s fantastic value i don’t think you could find better.
I’ve recommended it to all my family and friends it’s the best buy I’ve made this year.
I was really tentative about buying these cameras as I thought the set up would be difficult (technology not my strong point). However, the App was surprisingly easy to use, and I was delighted with the camera I bought first as a trial. I went on to buy 3 more, used to look into barns for signs of lambing, so only used for viewing in real time (motion sensors turned off). Vision is really good, and so much better to look at the cameras from bed during the night to check all ok rather than my previous 25 years of getting up and trotting across the yeard in dressing gown and wellies (usually through rain). It also meant I could get on with other things while watching for lambs on my iPhone, iPad or laptop. Remarkable value for money (and long overdue for me). The only problem I had was trying to use the cameras on my laptop (Windows 10), because I had forgotten the password for the original set up on my iPhone. I emailed the company via the customer support for help on the App but had no reply. I managed on my own in the end- the ‘forgot password’ page on laptop didn’t load correctly so couldn’t use it- but copied and pasted onto my iPad and was able to follow the instructions and sort. All good!
Great little camera during daytime but 147 motion detections at night, including raindrops, flies, headlights passing by. And the only way to get past that is to turn off notifications or pay a subscription fee to enable AI recognitio
Very happy with this system and it has far more positives than negatives.
Positives first
It’s easy to install and set up — it comes with fixings supplied and a template for drilling accurately. It can be mounted onto any internal or external surface including brick, plasterboard, wood and concrete.
Two options for Internet connection — it can either be wired in directly using an ethernet cable (not supplied), or it can connect wirelessly to your home router (I cut off the ethernet port section of the cable as I only wanted to use the wireless).
Picture quality is superbno more grainy CCTV footage! High-res 1080p full colour footage by day, and very good quality infrared by night. You can view the live feed directly via the supporting app on your smartphone, which works perfectly on both Android and iOS.
There’s two storage options for recorded footage — you can either pay monthly for cloud storage or you can use a micro SD card which fits into the camera itself (not supplied) and store the footage locally.
You can watch back all footage that’s stored on the SD card on the app on your smartphone (you don’t need to remove the card from the camera to watch the recordings).
The SD card DOES record and store 24/7 footage permanently (contrary to what some other reviews say) if you set it to do so. How much is stored depends on the capacity of your SD card.
I use a 256 GB micro SD card which has the capacity to store about three weeks’ worth of 24/7 HD footage. When the memory card reaches maximum capacity, it automatically overwrites the oldest footage.
You can use the Event History Timeline feature in the app to watch back recorded footage (detected motion is clearly marked on the timeline as a separate colour).
Every human/motion detection alert gives a snapshot of the scene with the notification on your phone so you don’t always have to watch the recorded footage back.
The app is very easy to use and has lots of customisable features that you can make to the camera directly from the app.
Negatives
The human detection feature is a bit hit-and-miss. It detects correctly in the daylight, but at night passing car headlights set off the human detection alert.
It appears worse when it’s in night vision mode. Tiny insects and fog also register as humans when in night vision mode and the alert goes off constantly in the night.
Recorded human detection footage isn’t immediately available to watch — it takes a couple of minutes for it to sync to the app.
Overall though, a very good home security system and excellent value for money!
The camera was easy to install and has a great picture. Just ensure you have an electric socket near to the point you want to locate the camera, otherwise you will need to run one.
Easy setup but instructions are not 100% clear, password for connecting to camera is not listed anywhere (it’s the “safety code” on camera)
video quality is good being 4mp but I found the AI human motion detection doesn’t seem to work as designed and detects any movement as seen in the video, received an alert for moving vehicle even though I had AI human detection turned on.
Overall good quality with 256Gb SD card storage a plus (since most support 128gb at this price), would’ve been even better with two way audio & spotlight /alarm for deterrence but this can be found on other Imou models.
This camera and software is a good all rounder. I have no major issues with it really. Perhaps it’s my understanding of the quirks of technology. If you want a good no major thrills camera get it. As it does function well at the basics, However my experience so far…..
I’ve already had to reset it as it refused to reconnect to the software and network. Thankfully I was able to reach the reset button which was the last step after all else fails. However in general it is good and the image quality is also good. At night I actually found switching the flood light on detection and smart night vision off for plain old good infrared as the light exposure in my opinion reduced the coverage and detail in my situations, so be prepared to tinker around a little. I also have a bug bear with the “Human Detected” motion sensor. It is exactly that “motion” it is NOT anything close to AI or with differentiation of a human as it triggers with the weather such as rain or snow for example. I find I have to mute notification during bad weather as it triggers all the time and that is with the settings reduced. Even as I’m writing this. I just use record and overwrite constantly either way and the detection as an added step for when it does work as intended. So others that say it only records when detection occurs is not true.
I do not use the cloud service, it does everything you need if you use an SD card. It simply overwrites in time as you would with a standard set up. I’m not sure if there is any other value points with cloud other than storage.
Finally, be careful when setting up and drilling using the template. I’d marry up the device to the direction you need as the bracket needs to be set up with the groove and drill holes to allow you to move up and down, left and right. If you put the screw holes in with just the template, you may find limitation in the desired angle. The central hole is what it is and you need it to get the cables through. Unless you do a surface job.
Bit long, but I hope this helps.
(The attached screenshot shows an example of the timeline and recording. The amber lines are where detections have occurred).
The camera was easy to setup and has lots of good functions. The two infrared LEDS that powers the night vision let’s it down. Anything beyond a few meters away is not captured. I will need to purchase an additional light source.
It is a really good product, The app works well on Android it is almost perfect. They just need to work on the Detection as it seems too sensitive even when adjusted down, but it does work well. It allows you to easily review recordings remotely but the only irritation is that they don’t allow you to download footage. I would rate this much better than other products that force you to pay for cloud storage. A 64GB sd card takes weeks to fill up at HD resolution.
Good value for money, could have been better designed i.e. little thing but make a lot of difference in installation the power lead would be much better with plug into unit so that could be fed through holes from interior power points as is no way of disconnecting transformer plug from camera making installation a lot more difficult than needed.
Bought two of these for home security. Extremely easy to setup and install. Connected to WiFi without issue and stay connected despite being 20 meters from router. Camera quality is good and app easy to naviagte. Only feature I wish these had was two way voice communication so I could shout at the neighbours cat. For the money you really won’t be disappointed with these.
We purchased an Imou indoor camera for our music room. I was really surprised and pleased with the product and decided to buy an outdoor camera for the back yard. It’s works really well. I now have proof that we have a badger visiting and digging holes in the lawn. I’ve ordered another indoor camera for downstairs.
Installation and setup of the external IMou camera was straightforward and much simpler than the Hive Camera. The picture quality and night vision are excellent. Both the indoor and external cameras are value for money.
We have two other external cameras (Hive and Tapo). I might replace them with iMou devices as this would simplify notifications and checking the cameras. Being a retired Silicon Valley Software Engineer, I give top marks to Imou for the phone app. I’d be happy to pay a few additional $’s to Imou if their app could also work with Hive and Tapo Cameras.
Installed this in the conservatory rather than outside due to it needing plugging in, slight down side is it does not pick up movement out side the window even on the most sensitive setting but that’s not the end of the world, picture quality is great and took around 5 minutes to set up for the price no complaints, only thing I have not figured out yet, I can here all sounds but can’t speak to anyone, probably something I am not doing right.
Easy to set up. Excellent picture quality (you can change from SD to HD). Detection sensitivity very fine (picks up moths at night) which sets off alarm, but that’s a minor issue.
Excellent value for money.
I wanted a cctv camera and looked at lots. I wanted one that I could fit through the window without drilling holes ideally but also one with a good quality picture. I really did spend days and days looking at lot on Amazon and lots of youtube reviews.
In the end, I settled on this because it had the promise of no cloud storage needed: it saves to micro SD card. It’s wifi, so I can ignore the supplied Power over Ethernet cable and just use the thin power cable to power it up and it gave a promise of great image quality.
I kid you not, from it arriving, it was installed and working in half an hour and it was a doddle.
In my case, I leaned out of the upstairs window and attached it to the underside of the eaves using the supplied template. I coiled up the ethernet lead as I’m not using it. I put some heat-shrink tubing on the power connector to waterproof it and used a hot glue gun to glue the white power cable down the side of the outside of the window and though the hinge and in to the inside.
You end up with a no-drill/no-hole installation which works a treat.
I’m so happy, I’m going to get another for the back!
I have had loads of issues with cameras all had failed in some way this was easy to set up great video and quality of picture better than much dearer cameras the human detection is good I am delighted to finally get something that is great quality with a great app and at a fab price IMOU are in a different league to others so easy to set up on the wall as well will be getting another one soon. Highly recommended
For the price this kit is excellent, however. the instructions are just pants, so much so the maker (& also seller) sends you an email with top tips to “easily” set it up which makes about as much sense as the supplied instruction booklet; after some re-reading & head scratching I did figure it out and it then worked well.
The camera has a really clear full colour HD picture with a good field of view, the night vision is equally good with a clear night time black & white image even in total darkness; it also comes with sound recording which was surprising for the price. The apps for smart phone and PC are quite good, however, they really push the paid cloud storage plan, which is irritating. The functionality of the software is generally good but there should be a continual record function rather than just record when motion is detected or when you push the record button which is then stopped if you access any other part of the app or it goes into sleep mode which it does quite often, which appears to be a sales device for cloud storage subscription. The other related issue is the motion sensor sensitivity which can be problematic with multiple activation due to wind movement of trees and plants etc; you can adjust the sensitivity level and you need some trial and error to get this right. The connectivity range of the WiFi is impressive as I have the camera at the bottom of my garden without any drop out.
All in all this is a very good value camera and with a little tweaking of the functionality could be really unbeatable, hence the 4 stars rather than 5; having said that and despite the issues previously mentioned, I would still recommend this camera as a good value option with the functionality of much more expensive models.
UPDATE:
After contacting the maker/seller you can indeed do both motion activated recording and 24/7 continuous recording, however, again poor instructions cloud the issue.
Love this camera. Purchased it for a replacement of another WiFi outdoor security camera which kept constantly dropping off the network. I decided on this one due to the price and because I already have a couple of Imou indoor cameras which are very good quality.
This one has excellent build quality and seems as though it will be able to withstand the elements. Connectivity-wise, no drops at all and the picture quality is just fantastic, particularly when set to HD mode. At night time you can set to colour night mode rather than the standard IR night mode, which gives a great colour picture which doesn’t take away at all from the quality of the captured footage.
The app works very well. Easy to use and to extend to add more cameras – which I will do so soon. It gives nice timely alerts to when motion is detected, which it does in an intelligent way. I highly recommend.
This product has proven to an excellent purchase. I’m no Tech head but the IMOU Bullet 2E gave me no headaches to set up. The build quality is superb and easy to follow set up guide was a breeze. The process of setting up and registration of the device was seamless and took no longer than 10 minutes!
Picture quality is excellent and view at night very clear. Motion sensor is excellent! With AI sensor it can distinguish between humans, dogs and other Animals so as not to set of false notifications. The spotlight and Voice function are an added bonus.
Price versus quality. Perfect worth the investment to secure the property and give peace of mind. As far as a SMART device goes, it does work with Alexa and very quick to use the Alexa App to connect.
First Bullet 2c was a present from my daughter but following pretty simple installation & initial evaluation I purchased and fitted a second one. Both of these now give good coverage of the complete front of my house and driveway.
In my case I also opted to fit a high capacity Micro SD card (128 Gbs) into the slot of each camera, thus allowing local storage and /or iMou’s Cloud stage plan/s if desired. One further point worth mentioning, I think, is that it’s likely you’ll need to buy an extension cable with a male + female connector plugs – one or the other at each end. This permits the adapter cable supplied with the camera to be plugged in from outside the premises to a reasonably conveniently situated 240V mains socket inside the house and also being within good WiFi coverage of the router if using WiFi rather than Ethernet cabling.
I hope this review and my experiences with this product to date will be of help to someone somewhere.
I have experience of many different kinds of network cameras over 25 years.
This camera is the best designed and best value for money that I have ever seen.
– Easy to install and configure
– Lots of options but the web configuration pages are well set out
– WiFi or Ethernet
– H265 compression
– Option for cloud storage (but not obligatory)
– Continuous (looping) record to microSD card option
– Support for ONVIF which means you can use it with your compatible NVR
It took minutes to set the camera up with the help of the smartphone app.
I have set it up on the shed at the end of my garden (about 15 metres away) looking back at the house paired to an external WiFi access point that I have on the roof. The reception is very good resulting in flawless streaming to my recording NVR.
I put mine on shed roof looking at my car 60 meters away, the quality is amazing. The picture can be expanded to give even better results. Out street lighting is very good, so night vision is same as daytime, only the sky is black instead of white. Full colour, motion sensor very sensitive, picked up cats, at same distance as car, but used the slider to cut out the cats. Very easy to set up, bluetooth, so can be viewed from my tablet, smartphone or PC. Cost was 24 pounds or so.10/10 all round.
Have installed this outside underneath the eaves pointing up the road. Great field of vision, quality feel to the camera, looks much more expensive than its price, crystal clear HD (remember to take the film off the front we didn’t!). Power cable over 3m helped with the installation up high outside plugged in inside. All the “detection” is configurable which is important depending on the location / use of the camera (inside / outside / cars / pets / kids / audio). Using micro SD and will look at the cloud storage option too. Great app, totally intuitive. This is my second Imou camera I have a Ranger2 inside pointing out when we are at home and in when we are not and they are on the same app and I have to say totally delighted with both. 5 stars and will buy 2 more at least.
I was up and running very quickly due to easy to follow instructions, which was great. Once ready with the app the camera can be paired with it and you are good to go!
The app is impressive allowing the completely control of the camera from it. The camera itself does a great job of detecting motion and it does so in an intelligent way, which ensures that you only get alerted to human detection. Alerts are then sent very quickly to mobile via the app.
The picture on the camera is great in the day but so very impressive at night. Very clear. Excellent for our peace of mind.
This is my second camera from the same company. The first camera is still going strong and the reliability is excellent. OK on with the review. So I opened the box and the camera was up and running within 5 minutes. Connection to WiFi is strong and no delay. It uses the same software as my previous camera so now I have access to the front and back of my house within a swipe. Build quality looks good with no signs of weakness. Maybe it’s overkill having one of these cameras for the front of my house but I just like the extra security it brings. A new update on this camera is human detection so that I get less false alerts when the local badgers walk into my garden lol. No issues I can see with this product and much more than I expected for the price.
Installing it at my garden shed is easy and straight forward. Just download the app and follow the onscreen instructions and it took me half an hour to have it all set up and ready to go. You get option to record to a SD card (no included) or have the footage sent to their cloud service.
There is a encryption option where you can have all the video footage are encrypted so no one can have access to your video even if they managed to get access to your footage.
Both day and night video is clear and of high quality, I can watch the live feed or browse recorded video via my mobile phone anywhere in the world as long as I have internet access.
This item arrived safe and well packaged.
Included in the box was a very well built camera, with a USB lead and 3pin UK plug to power the device. A very well laid out instruction book is also included. This has all the details needed to connect and operate all aspects of this camera. It’s got plenty of pictures and screenshots included so it’s easy to know you’re doing the right thing.
It was very easy to find the app (there’s a QR code in the instructions or it’s easily searchable) and download it to my phone through Play Store. Once registered the camera connected within seconds. It was extremely straightforward.
The app is full of gadgets, and can fully control the camera from anywhere you’ve got internet signal.
You can record, change filters, change resolution, listen in, talk through etc etc. It’s packed with features as listed in the product spec.
This is one of the most advanced cameras that I’ve used. This is easier to connect and holds connection very well. It’s also got far more functionality! I wish it was around when I bought the first camera, as I would love to have a few more of these around the house.
These really do bring great peace of mind! And if the worst ever happens, fantastic evidence too!
I highly recommend this product.
This camera was purchased to monitor our back garden for wildlife. It did not disappoint. On the second night we had a hedgehog visit.
The installation was simple although the size of the network connector meant a much large hole had to be made to allow this to pass through even though it is not needed if using on wifi. Would have been better if the network connector was removable if not used.
The set up of the app was also simple with lots of flexibility in detection and recording options. The added bonus of this being compatible with google home is a bonus although when cast using google home the aspect is not quite right as the picture has bars at each side.
For the price this is a good camera.
I’m really impressed by this IOT (Internet Of Things) CCTV Camera. It feels very well built and there was clearly consideration put into the design especially with the waterproof SD Card slot, The mount being adjustable and very versatile for multiple angles and positions of installation. It’s impressive! The IMOU Life App is really easy to navigate and 24 A Year for 7 Days of Event based recording seems reasonable especially against competitors offering similar (although it would be cool if they had a package for full time recording too). I personally installed my camera by driving the provided screws into my soffit (plastic) with ease. Really impressed overall and I would highly recommend it for the price point especially if it’s just to focus on an entry point etc. I would love to see a dome versions of this camera or one with higher resolution (4mp/8mp) and slightly better night vision (don’t get me wrong – the night vision is great compared to most “smart cameras” I’ve tried but everything is a little blury past 13ft for me. I have and would recommend this product to friends and family who need a simple security solution.
Where do I start? I was on the look out for a fairly good outdoor WiFi camera at an affordable price. After haveing a look around on the net I found this brand IMOU. All I an say is the bullet camera exceeded my expectations in every way! It was fast and easy to set up, the build quality of the camera is extremely robust. Even though it’s made if plastic the feel in your hands is a feeling of a strong hard plastic with a textured surface similar to that of aluminium. I have 100% confidence that this camera will stand up to most weather conditions.
The IMOU app is very easy to understand and navigate through. Not to mention all the custom settings you can ture. The picture quality during the day and night was fantastic. This obviously depends on your broadband speed, I found the image to be crystal clear and sharp.
The IMOU cloud storage I found the be one of the most competitive prices out there!
I will definitely be adding more IMOU cameras to my network in the future.
I honestly cannt recommend this company highly enough. You wont be disappointed.
I have 2 of these cameras as well as 2 imou LOOCs, the night vision is excellent and the WiFi range is great.
It has a good frame rate and I never lose connection.
I started with 1 LOOC camera which is great as it has an acceptable floodlight and siren on it, this doesn’t but has better range and better night vision.
The app is also good to use, I’ve never bothered with the Imou cloud storage and just use sd cards.
This camerais also onvif comparable and I’ve connected it to my synology NAS station for recording.
Would recommend this camera especially when it’s on offer sub 40.
I had to install CCTV cameras quickly due to a neighbours building works giving access to our property, although I install high end equipment for clients, I wanted something simple ,easy to install and operate
this fit the bill
also the camera is fitted with a microphone and this really makes a difference, being able to hear what is going on while the computer is being used for other work means i have advance warning of visitors
I elected to fit the memory cards rather than use the cloud, and you can either record 24/7 and it overwrites after around 7 days, or when it sees movement
if fitting outside on brickwork a small adaptable box is worth getting hold off to leave the large cable tucked away and to protect the low voltage power cable from corrosion
setting up is simple even for a thick like me, did it via a cheap smart phone
and the night vision is excellent
if the night vision is not working make sure you have no lights in the house near windows as that will confuse it
excellent value for the money and our first unwanted visitor was picked up and ejected from the property
I can also click in on my phone adn keep an eye on the neighbouring works
I bought this camera because I wanted a ‘ring’ brand video doorbell, but having a friend who has one I was worried I might suffer the same problems he has of connectivity issues. As someone who works in IT I recognised that a WiFi antenna can make all the difference, and knowing that IMOU are owned by ‘Dahua Tech’ who make truly exceptional products I thought this would be right for me. I wasn’t wrong.
The setup was exceptionally fast. I just downloaded the free App to my iPhone from the App Store, scanned a couple of barcodes, inputted my WiFi passcode (into the App on my iPhone), let the devices squeal at each other, and Bob was my uncle.
I plumped for a floor level installation, behind a front garden wall. Three screws and plugs were supplied, and I already had a power point waiting outside the front of the house (AAA batteries could also be used). The power cable is VERY long (3 meters, I think) and so I just wrapped up the excess. See picture 4. You might be able to make out the white device behind the wall, amongst the pebbles, top left of picture 5, circled in red.
After adjusting the sensitivity to 1/7 (it was even being triggered by the headlights of passing cars on level 3/7) and excluding certain areas from detection (I don’t want to know when my neighbours come and go!), all using the App, the device has now been installed for 36 hours and has saved me from missing 2 deliveries! One, a postman who was writing out a ‘red card’ to say I wasn’t home (see picture 4- and yes, I was home…) but an alert popped up on my phone and I caught him as he was heading away from my front door.
Overnight, it caught the culprit who has been digging my flowers up in the front garden (darned fox! Picture 3) and this afternoon a schoolboy who was taking stones from the same area to throw at his (supposedly even more annoying) mates. The definition is so good I could make out his school badge, even on the ‘standard definition’ setting (it also goes up to ‘HD’. See picture 1 for school badge and picture 2 for the handful of stones. Caught red-handed). The sound recording so excellent that I could hear them screech as he hit them with his well-aimed throws, even when they were half way down the street. By then, I was already out the front (which it also caught on camera.
Cons? I am yet to find any.
Unknowns: No idea what the battery life is like, or how good the cloud services are, as I am not using either. I am using a tiny 16GB Micro SD card, and so don’t need the cloud.
Tip: If you try to watch a video as soon as you are alerted that it has been triggered, it will not let you- it will show a message saying that you don’t have a cloud subscription and so can’t watch it. HOWEVER: this message is misleading. It can’t show the video because it is in the process of recording it, it is not a ‘cloud subscription’ issue. The pop up was super annoying until I worked this out. If you are alerted to a new event, just click on ‘live feed’ first. You will later be able to go back to watching the video it was recording/recorded when triggered. By later, I mean within a minute or so.
Quite honestly, one of the best devices I have bought on Amazon, and the value for money is exceptional. Pretty sure I already have my money’s worth, and I look forward to setting up my garden office where I can’t hear the doorbell, but WILL be alerted thanks for IMOU if anyone comes to call.
Also, no false alerts due to rain or even hail which we had today. The only ‘false’ alert I had was when a security light came on because of a passer by, and the IMOU captured that. But if my security light was better configured it would never have set off the IMOU BULLET LITE.
HIGHLY recommended.
I have to say this is brilliant! The quality is amazing! No problem in setting up and with a 128gb card will store continually for 2 weeks before overwriting. We had someone peering into our front window one day and it prompted us to install a camera. It’s fixed but it gives a great wide view and as you can see in the picture we have images of police arresting someone acting suspicious in the rear gardens of the houses opposite. You do have to spend a little time getting used to the app and the alarm is sensitive and it has a brilliant grid feature to choose the area to monitor. Definitely worth the money…we had a delivery of blinds and when we got home they were snapped and broken looked at the camera footage and saw the delivery man holding the broken package flapping around….no defence sent them the images next day new blinds unbroken. I can not recommend this enough. I did have to buy an extension power cable (very cheap) but other than that amazing value for money
ok so bought this after spending too much time thinking about it. I now have CCTV which I can access from an app on my phone. the device has motion detection and saves clips to a memory card, which you buy separately. One negative is that it only keeps the last 7 days for you to access. I have not looked at the cloud service, which you get a free trial of . There is No Night Vision but I have a driveway light which detects movement anyway so all’s good. The build quality is good and am happy with this camera. The power lead is about 3 meters but has a power brick as a plug. The camera quality is good but don’t place your camera too far away from the area you want protected. The cost of this camera is very good and as a customer I am very happy with my purchase. Its been mounted on my wall now for about a month with no issues.
