Solar Lights Outdoor, JESLED 90 LED Solar Motion Sensor
Solar Lights Outdoor, JESLED 90 LED Solar Motion Sensor Security Lights Solar Powered Lights Waterproof 2600mAh, USB Charging, Solar Wall Lights Outside for Garden Fence Door Yard Pathway (1 Pack) [Energy Class A+]
A good item that seems reliable and works well. Using this to illuminate a house name plaque I made from an old slate tile and a good quality Perspex name print. Works well on minimal solar input so I can mount near our gate.
Bought it to light up one of passage between utility room and garage. Bought this model as it fixes behind the garage gutter.
Feel a lot safer at night in the winter with my new solar light.
I bought this on the strength of its reviews and I’m pleased I did.
Its surprisingly bright for a small solar powered light, but does the job if you don’t want the place lit up as you would get with a mains operated one.
Ideal for seeing and getting the dog in of an evening.
I bought these 4 yr ago and 1 got broken 2 yr ago in storm. I’ve since tried several alternative solar lights and all have either stopped working or not given anything like the brightness or breadth of coverage. So I bought 2 new ones recently and they have not disappointed- these are great! Don’t waste money on trying others!
Seem decent but one is doing nicely and lasting well but the one that gets more sun is failing to do it’s job anymore now the cold weather has arrived which is a shame as they are really decent units
Update the seller messaged me and diagnosed the issue with my units and even sent out replacements
I bought this 3 years ago and it has worked all year round without fail ever since. It is mounted above our front door porch, just under the gutter, so surprised I have not had to manually charge it.
The light is bright enough for me and the motion sensitivity is really good too.
Highly recommended, especially as you can replace the battery when needed, but hopefully this won’t be anytime soon.
Looks nice on our front wall…..lights up if you just stand on your front step and just wave your hand……automatically goes off not long after……just what i was looking for……no batteries sola powered great.
It sits well on the garden fence and comes with sleek look of modern layout. It comes with options for charging. USB, sun and battery. I am thinking of another. This product so far has lived up or is living up to what it states in the information section when purchasing.
This light has five good settings to chose from we have selected dim but then bright when someone approaches
It’s very easy to install everything supplied
100% you should purchase this it’s very good!
This light is bright enough to see down our path at night. The battery lasts all night as I have it on low stetting all night and when someone triggers it it goes on high ,it’s a good purchase
Initially bought a couple of these & popped them on top of a fence panel at the top. So impressed with them I bought another 4 and have them dotted around the garden.
Mine are set to come on automatically at night on a low dim light but activates to a bright light if the PIR is activated. They remain on until sunrise.
Never had an issue with any of them and have had them over a year now. Some of them are in a shady corner but have always had enough power to remain on.
Fully recommend
I bought this to go on my shed which is on my drive at the back of my garden, partly as a security feature and also so I can see when I get home in the dark. It works so well I quickly ordered another to go over the back door. Great product.
Charged from usb for 2 hours then put up outside. Most useful bit is it comes with a sticker that allows you to get the screws in exactly the right place for it to slide on then down and then across to lock it in place. The light is bright, not as much as a mains powerd one but enough set to sensor mode and it having come on 7 to 9 times over night the daylight (not direct sun today) recharged it to full by 06.30am from sun up. Will get second one to give full coverage that mains power one useto give.
Update worked for bit over 10 days then red charging lamp on when ever sun is out never gets to green, charged with usb for 3 hours still red. Light comes on and off with movement for a while then stops till I recharge with usb.
Email to seller and received a replacement unit 4 days later all working again.
Unlike another light I bought at the same time, these are excellent.
Does exactly what the makers said it would.
Recommended.
The USB Charging is great during winter months (if you have a 13amp socket nearby). Been working for a few months & pleased with the quality & amount of light produced. Enough to light a wall sign & front door.
Had 2 lights and they work all year round. Just purchased another 2 and my garden is fully light at night. Worth every penny
This product is very good quality. I would highly recommend this item.
Love this light it’s very bright easy to detach if you need to charge and the battery is replaceable if need which you don’t get with similar lights
Ordered on Friday, delivered next day on Saturday without needing Amazon prime. Very pleased with my acquisition. It is superbright and very easy to install. Has four modes 1) off 2) Continous High Brightness level 3) High brightness on motion detection, followed by lesser brightness 4) Continous lower brightness.
Photos show mode 3 at lesser brightness when no motion has been detected. The light level is impressive even at lesser brightness. The tiltable Solar panel ensures that maximum solar energy is available for charging the lamp. Bit pricey but you get what you pay for I guess.
For the money you can’t go wrong! It’s nice and bright and does the job well
Excellent product, looks good, easy to install and works really well, I hope it continues to do so in the darker winter months.
Easy to install, I have it on my garage door. Lights up at a good distance and lasted all winter with no problems. Bought another one I use when going camping – brighter than others that people have.
The lights are easy to fit, to walls or shed, and give decent light for dark corners of buildings. they stay on for about 15 second while you are in sensor range they do what there supposed to do.
Great solar light with added option to charge with USB, which is very handy in the dark winters when there is not much Sun.. On the remote control ones you also get an option of three mood light settings.. Luv them!
Good quality, lightweight and easy to install on fence, movement sensitive, great range of light tones that helps prevent light pollution for neighboring gardens but can also be adjusted to give bright light should you prefer. Very happy with product, ordered more of same.
Easy to install, hold charge really well – I have had the light for almost a year and use it outside in back garden in sensor mode. Not had to use USB charging as with the limited use it seems to be doing very well.
Good amount of light generated
So far after winter in Scotland no need to charge as the solar panel seems to be keeping it charged even when the weather is dull.
Great produc
As these have a optional USB port they will be great in winter when there’s little light, also purchased one with remote control for use on patio area, they also have quite large solar panels which is great..
Not cheap but does what we want without fail.
It’s water proof, the timer and sensor still work.
Would recommend.
Nothing to dislike about this light. Well made, very simple to install and lights the area below a single garage door very well. I have it on low continuously throughout the night and the sensor wakes it up and puts it on full brightness for 15 seconds whenever it detects movement. Had it three weeks now and so far very reliable. Some dull days but still charges enough on a south facing wall to last the night and more.
It’s not quite as bright as a wired flood light but you wouldn’t expect that from a solar light. Still plenty bright enough though to comfortably light the area below the garage that I bought it for so very pleased with it so far and no running costs to worry about. It looks very smart too..
I have two of these on each side of my garden, and it lights the garden up well on dusk to dawn mode, but a gentle light, not hard on the eyes, a little dimmer than the photo suggests, the side ones last all night, which is 13 hours or so at this time of the year, the back ones which get no sunlight at all last 6-8 hours, which is very good, and of course, with the USB port, you could charge them off a separate solar panel placed in more sunlight, I would prefer a warm white though instead of of the white light, but it’s ok.
There is also a bright and dim motion sensor setting too, I personally don’t use them, however they work well, and of course I don’t think you’d have much issue with battery life in this mode.
If you want to light up a big garden, then this would be quite an expensive option, but for a small one like mine they’re great, or if you just want some door lighting or motion lighting.
We wanted a light for over our house sign – this fits the bill perfectly – sleek and modern .
Had it about 3 weeks now [ December ] – if charged on mains , the light on ” low ” [ which is still very bright } , lasts for about 14 hours – however , just charging by its solar panel , it only lasts about 1.5 hours – until about 6pm in winter . NOTE ; this is on ” continuous low ” – our house / sign needs to be seen from 30ft plus , so it is not suitable for motion detection use [ can’t comment on this function ] . So we need to mains charge if we are expecting evening visitors / deliveries – but the light slots on and off the bracket , so very easy to do . If the solar panel had charged enough to give 3 hours on low setting , i would have given it 5 stars . UPDATE – Have now tried it on motion detection function for the whole of January and February
– have not needed to charge it up at all – solar is sufficient .
I purchased this following return of the ‘fixed’ solar as the USB did not charge properly. No hastle from seller, refund issued. I purchased this one, from same seller, was sent out very quickly. This one charged via USB easily, it has a clip panel which fixes to the destination spot to lift up and remove light to take to a power socket to charge. I am using the low, movement detection, it’s an excellent light width coverage and does not dazzle if looked at direct. The moveable solar panel is a very good idea especially in winter but only moves up and down, not side to side. I also like the fact visually, easy to see the green fully charged battery symbol and when it turns red, if there hasn’t been enough natural light to keep charged, time to unclip and charge via USB. The USB cable is not supplied, I used an old mobile phone cable which fits. This may be difficult if someone doesn’t use much technology, personally, I think a cable should be included but I am still a satisfied customer.
I was in-between getting electric flood lights and these ones for my courtyard. Finally decided to give it a shot (and if not, I could use them in the backyard). And this was the right choice.
They are light but well made. USB charge works well. Options are easily accessible through a single button. I have put both of them on the wall with 2 m distance and the motion detector works perfectly for both in sequence. I did not need to charge them yet (2 weeks use in November), but that is also because I use the motion detector mode. Light is bright (but not super bright) enough to reflect on the wall and surrounding.
Installation was slightly fidgety. Granted, they provided a sticker with where to drill, but you need to do that evenly or otherwise the thin lamp make it even more obvious. They did what they could, you just need to be careful.
I hope they will hold their charge long, and if not, I can do a usb charge with a powerbank (or remove and charge them at home). Still very happy with saving a fair amount from the electrician costs.
I bought one to try in my bathroom. Little people leave light on all the time. I pop it on outside window ledge during the day and bring it in at night. Love that I can press emergency light for it to stay on whilst having shower etc. since then I’ve bought 2 for kitchen and they work great as a team. One is placed at back door so it comes on when someone comes in from outside and the other is at kitchen door at the other end .. All one room. Brightness is amazing and it’s a great sense of security too as dog sets them off as she walks about. So no more leaving lights on when I’m out at nights. Screws aren’t in tight so it’s easy to slip them off and pop them on window ledge (south facing) I’ve spent approx 40 on these lights but if I was to buy LED a d probably be about the same price. I have 8 halogen down lights in kitchen and 5 in bathroom. Plus receiving 400 for electric this year I’d say it’s justifiable. Another major plus for me who has a lot of power cuts in the winter. If I bad weather Is due then I can charge them up before power goes off. Will be buying more to update outside security lights too. I’m also hoping they’ll last longer than if they were outside and exposed to the harsh winter nights here in Scotland.
This is an amazing cheap way to give light in awkward areas of your outside and without any fussy wiring . It’s is very bright . And with the cost of living I’m saving on electric security lighting . They’re that good I’m ordering another three .
We bought this light to go on the wall next to the garage and it lights up the door . It’s very easy to fit and is angled just not to shine in your eyes.
Very happy with this light. I have it constantly on the low setting that comes on at dusk with the motion sensor that makes it brighter. Just outside my patio door. I need another one on the shed.
The light was put up a couple of months ago and is just above a doorway on our garage at the side of the
house. If the sun is out this area has the sun for a few hours in the morning then shade, we have had sun
and cloudy days and it still shows the red(charged) light which I did not expect. It is on motion mode
and works fine.
Being able to charge with usb is also a great advantage.
Glad I believed the high reviews as I am usually wary with this many.
Looks good, easy enough to install and gives decent amount of light for a solar powered unit but it keeps turning on of a night. I think it’s from the cars passing on the road, which is about 7 meters away.
Easy to install, charges well, nice bright light and good motion detection.
Around 2 years ago, having ordered 4 lights for the front and back of 2 gate pillars, we have been very happy with the lights and in March 2022, we ordered 2 more for the main entrance steps. One of the lights malfunctioned and would not turn on, but we were sent a replacement very promptly – can highly recommend this company 🙂
The the money it does what it says great addition to our outside lights not failed as yet 5*
Connected to a intermediate battery that I control with Alexa plug so it gets charged during the day while my solar panels are getting charged and light is on at night when motion is detected. So 0 energy cost for my case.
I bought one of these last year for the front of the house. It’s perfect for motion detection and amazing brightness. I didn’t expect it to be very bright as it’s solar but it’s great, even in the winter months. I’ve never needed to charge it via USB, just from solar recharging.
I’ve just bought 2 more for the side and back of the house. My friends also bought one when they saw how good it was and they’re delighted with it too.
Great product. Charges even in low light conditions. Good light output and easy to install.
Only had it for a few days. Great light and looks good.
I love this simple, .little light! We just placed it on a kind of ‘airer’ hanging outside our back door and it is so sensitive and lights up with the slightest movement, even from within the kitchen! It’s fallen on the ground ~ 4′ below a couple of times but still keeps on doing it’s thing. I’ve now suspended it in a tree near the front door, and despite branches in the way it still detects and shines. Must buy another. Fab! 😀
Unfortunately we broke ours , do not recommend putting it up in wind. After gluing back together we made a separate base plate so we could ensure light firmly attached to screws and then further glued it to the base so it wouldn’t fall off. We then screwed base into wall. This would mean unscrewing for charing however we have not needed to do this even in February and the position of the the light dosent get sun all day. Sometimes highlights low battery but still works so must charge enough. Love the diffrent settings and perfectly bright. We use ours for over the door at night to help us see. So happy and not costing me anything to run.
Awesome light, awesome motion detection, easy to install. Well impressed!
Easy to install. very effective light for outside back door. Not in a well lit area but the solar charging works fine.
Easy to install, aesthetically pleasing design. I wish it was a little brighter and also that the motion detection worked at a longer distance.
The solar light fitting clearly has been well engineered to deal with the environment it has to work in. The unit was easily fixed to a sturdy surface & setup for a variety of uses. The working range is adequate for most applications where dark areas around the house & outbuildings.
Really good product for the price I was a bit sceptical but for a small garden or area this product is great and does exactly what it says on the tin.
Fitted this light on the end of my garage. It is not in direct range of sunshine but still charges up. Very bright light when on but would be better if it stayed on for more than 15 seconds.
Easy to set up and fix but not as bright as expected
I bought two of these Jesled LED solar powered lights to illuminate the side of my house. They provide good coverage and I prefer the ‘white’ light they give out compared to the warm lights. I live in a bungalow so installed these directly to the gutter. They come with fixings to attach them onto a wall so I used different M4 flat head posi bolts with nylon threaded nuts, they slotted perfectly into the unit. Because the guttering is the square (although it isn’t actually square) variety rather than round, the angle is perfect to reflect off the side of our bungalow which casts the light even further.
I can’t comment on lifespan as they’ve only been up a week but they detect motion easily and seem well made.
Pros: nicely bright, fairly well directed light that does a good job of illuminating the (admittedly fairly small) garden without annoying the neighbours.
The motion detection works well, would be handy to be able to change it to stay on for more than 15 seconds after activation but since the motion detector covers a fairly large area it’s not an enormous issue. You can probably see on the picture it’s installed fairly high from ground level and can pick up walking around type movement from about 12ft out.
The solar panel seems to work okay, it helpfully says how well it’s charging with a colour coded light. On this SW facing wall it’s never needed topping up via USB. I have it on the setting to stay off unless triggered, which is presumably the least demanding setting. It’s been through driving rain and moderate heat in the few weeks I’ve had it and seems to have survived so far. However, in response to other comments about it taking on water I did put a thin layer of clear silicone sealant around the seam of the solar panel on top, which didn’t look abundantly watertight.
Cons: other than the above disclaimer about the silicone sealant, seems to be working pretty well.
Installation was a bit of a pain though, there’s a sticker showing the screw placement which was helpful, but since it slots into the screws in an L shape it requires a bit of working out to get the holes in the right place if it’s somewhere where it needs to be accurately lined up (like the middle of a doorframe, as I found).
I put this light up in a dark side entry. It comes on as soon as I step out and stays lit long enough to reach bins and back again. Easy to install and no batteries or electric cables to worry about.
Perfect even during the storms and power cuts
We were the only ones with a working out door light
It covers a large area
Pops on as soon as motion is detected
Literally 5 mins to install on outside of house. For solar panel lights these are very bright – really lights up outside our back door and you can see everything (normally pitch black at night). I’m so glad I got these and didn’t bother getting an electrician to install some traditionally with electric wiring. These are game changers and you can set different lighting levels – they’ve thought of eveything.
Good light, easy to put up, clear instructions, not over bright.
We bought a double pack of Jesled 90. On receipt one would not hold a charge. We informed you using the chat service. And within an incredibly short space of time had received a replacement. Wonderful service. We would like to say that we are more than pleased with the lights and extremely impressed with the resolution to our problem.
I like that you can see when it is charging, green light shows, and when fully charged shows as a red light. Different options for how you use the light is good too. Great value for money.
Really pleased with this light, so much that so I bought a second one. It’s neat slim style is unobtrusive, it’s easy to put up and gives a really good light. We’ve placed it above our side entrance, so we can see to get into our house, it also makes my dog more willing to go outside. Would definitely recommend this light, a great product.
Can’t fault this product. Easy to put up and a larger than average solar panel. Great that you can charge it by usb. With a usb charge it still lasts over a week! Had it in a dark porch for a while before putting it on the wall to get sunshine. The light beam is strong. You wouldnt guess it was solar.
Picks up every movement from dusk to dawn – good buy
Poor assembly as switch / battery cover not pushed fully home which would allow water ingress in driving rain. Other than that seems okay.
Would be useful to be able to adjust time lit when motion detected as it seems very short before switching off.
Useful to have usb charger port.
Not been in any bad weather yet so time will tell on how waterproof it is, especially USB port cove
Great solar light. Can also be charged via USB. However I have found this works even with little sun. Use it as a PIR light. You need to get within about 5ft before it turns on. Bright clear light. It’s minimal design means it’s not noticed until you need it. Have this over my garden office door so that I can see to lock the door when I leave during dark evenings. So good I am buying another.
Easy to fit and charged up quickly. Sensor works well and good illumination and range.
So easy to install, I’ve fastened it to a trellis by our door. So far this is amazing, it’s been up three weeks and only in charge once!
Such a bright light with many options for settings
Bought to create some light up the side passage in the garden where the dogs like to chase around and we have no light fixtures. Easy to install, nice level of brightness. Have had them a few of months now and still working. Ticked all the boxes for my requirements. Just bought another set to add one above the back door and garage. Very pleased with my purchase.
They light up lovely when they are charged, and they do work for a while out doors but the power doesn’t last very long. That could be because it’s winter time and they don’t charge as well. We will have to see when better weather comes
It is December 15th 2021 – I have two of these on each side of the house which I bought in August. One is on a North facing wall in a corner. It has only just got to the point of it not charging enough to work in the last day. I am impressed. I have had several solar lights and none have ever worked this far into December, let alone one that is facing due North where it never gets any direct sunlight apart from the height of summer. The South facing one is working fine still despite being shadowed a lot of the time by the neighbours house.
I bought these when they were on a deal at 16 – but I would recommend these at their current price of 24.
Used to provide low light over house number for delivery drivers. Great that it shows charge levels and also has plug-in USB for the middle of winter. Although so far this has not been needed solar charger working very well.
This solar light is very good that if like in winter, sun and daylight is minimal, it has a usb socket on it so you could easily take down and charge or plug a phone powerbank in.good coverage on pir and illumination , and switchable dim then on or on full or off at the press of a button, a bit dearer but seems better made, time will tell
Nice looking and easy to fix in position. Good brightness.
Slightly awkward to adjust settings if up high.
This unit is easy to install as it comes with a template for drilling pricing holes. Facility to charge with a usb if required makes sure always charged. Easy to change to the different settings which should cover personal preference. Nice bright light with good coverage.
I installed this light a couple of weeks ago now and so far I am very impressed. I charged the light using the USB feature when it originally arrived and since then it has been mounted outside. It set to come on every evening when it gets dark on low light mode which then switches to bright mode when motion is detected. I was sceptical that it would charge enough in rainy Manchester but so far it has proven to be very good and provides great lighting for our front door.
Super slim and stylish. Really easy to put up. Bright with a great sensor…….. Seriously these things are BRILLIANT!!
Being able to charge them in winter with a powerbank is genius
I just added three of these as we needed some lighting for the stables. The roof overhangs a decent amount over the fascia and this design means the solar panels still get access to the sky.
Really impressed with the brightness, just what we needed. I wish there was a 30 second option for the lights to stay on (not just 15 seconds), but being solar charged I guess they cant be on too long.
Bought this on the off chance , and I’ve got to say I’m impressed . I’ve used it to light my house sign on the street ( it has three modes and one is a dimmer light for longer ) even on the dimmer setting it lights the entire entrance drive and the street across , as I live on an unlit road it’s brilliant . It lasts generally from sun down to past midnight and then operated on a pir even the
We bought this as the electric one keeps popping the bulbs…. so pleased we did! The brightness is the same as the electric one, the motion sensor works absolutely perfectly I can see when a cat wants to come in…. I recommend this product very highly as it lasts all night and let’s face it we haven’t had that much sunlight recently. A great buy.
Edit.
A year later and it still works as brilliantly as when new!
Like many I was sceptical about solar powered LED garden lights. The lights arrived quickly with easy to understand instructions.
Upon arrival i charged the light units via a USB charger, full charge took around 30mins per light (instructions estimate 1.5hrs) so must of been pretty high battery levels anyway.
Within the box there are fitting screws, brick wall plugs and a screw hole template, so using a spirit level i marked and drilled the holes, once done the unit simply pushes on and looks into place by pushing down and across so install was under 10mins and can be easily fitted or removed (should you wish to charge)
I set the unit on teh 2nd option, which is dim at times of darkness (in Sept they switch on at about 2020hrs) and only go bright if motion is detected, the bright mode turns itself back to dim after 15 seconds unless teh motion (or person) remains, in bright mode there is an excellent level of light around similar to a 60w normal bulb, in dim mode the light level is a bit bright than that of a low full moon on a clear day so can see a path but not much more. These are down lighters so spread of light is quite concentrated, so fully lights up an area of around 8-10ft wide and similar in depth, so for bigger areas maybe one light per 10-12 feet (as i have done)
5 days in an they lights are lasting all night are they have still been working at sunrise, teh solar panels are a good size and i have positioned near top of fence so they get teh best of sun form all angles all day long. So far i have not needed to charge and over teh past 5 days only 1 day of bright sun, the other 4 was overcast.
Great quality look good, pretty slim and compact and not cheap or ugly to look at. They will last all night and motion detection works well and activates quickly, for once a light that will last all day (and can top up charge should the winter not offer enough light) a great buy at under 20
I bought 1 of these to use in the garden. Very well designed and packaged. Facility to charge up battery with USB seems a great option for areas/times when solar gain is not enough. Light is bright and motion sensor works well. Fixing method and templates for screw fixings (provided) is so simple, and allows easy, tool-free ability for removal to charge up if required. I’ve since bought another two. We’re in Scotland where the sun is scarce in winter, so I’m keen to see how they work in the next 6-9 months. Great value product in my opinion.
This light is really easy to put up, a 5 – 10 min job. There are three settings changed by pushing a button. I opted for the light coming on at dusk with a half light and going unto full light when motion is detected. It switches off at dawn. I live in the country with no lighting so the half light is great for visitors to identify the door. When you get to about 15ft from the door the full light comes on. I don’t get the full 33ft as per the instructions due to the layout of my yard.
The half light will not cause any annoyance if you don’t have curtains. It is serviceable but not intrusive.
One review I read said the light lit up a large yard when full lit. I disagree. This certainly lights up my steps and a few feet beyond but definitely not my yard.
All in all I like this light, it services my purpose. I only have it up a few days now and havhad a chance to test the charging and if it runs out. Time will tell.
This is a smart product in every way. Sleek and well designed with a set of LED controls and the ability to be charged by USB if required. Mine is mounted in the garage and I simply lift it off the two screws to give it a charge but to be honest as it’s only required for a few minutes at a time it’s not needed charging since it’s initial charge a couple of months ago.
ordered one to find out what the quality was like to light up a garden wall and was so impressed I ordered another 7 . Visitors have been very impressed ,. The light is white and I leave on the 50per cent mode all night and hardly use any battery . Easy to install and all functions are on the front .Great that they have USB charge ability .
You can pay hundreds for quality lights or very cheap that dont work , these are a great happy medium ,very impressed .
This is a replacement for a solar light with a separate panel which succumbed to the elements after three years. The JESLED is well packaged with clear instructions. It is extremely easy to install using the screws supplied (and wallplugs if you need them). A self adhesive template makes getting the two holes in the right place a doddle. Once the screws are in, you simply line them up with the holes on the back of the unit, press in and slide to lock. This makes it very easy to remove the unit if you need to charge the battery via the mini USB port. A great feature in the winter if mounting the light where there isn’t much sun. The battery is a LioN with a very good capacity and it’s replaceable if it ever needs it.
The light output is outstanding for a solar light and there are several useful modes accessible via a button with indicator LEDs to show the mode selected. The motion detection works well and if you want it on all night, you can set it to be on constant low brightness changing to full when motion is detected or just low brightness all night. In conclusion, this is an outstanding light for the price! Only time will tell how long it survives in our exposed seaside location.
Good product but a little too sensitive every car that went by would trigger the light besides that easy to install just two screws but the template is useless as it’s doesn’t allow it to sit flush
Very simple to install, it comes with a template which I taped to the wall in the right spot, simply drilled through at the marked places installed supplied plugs and screws , hooked the light on the screws and switch it on to the setting you want. I have set mine to be on dimmed after dark, it nicely lights up my house number which I mounted on the wall below. I have only given 4/5 for motion detection as the range is not adjustable and people walking past on the pavement trigger it to full brightness. I do feel a little mean doing that but can see that in the depths of winter the false triggers will flatten the battery before my pizza or curry are delivered. If your frontage is over about 20 feet this would not be a problem.
*Update* after using through most of a dull winter I am still pleased with this light. I have changed the setting so that it doesn’t trigger into bright mode. I find I need to recharge it fully with a battery pack every 3-4 days if I want it to stay on past about midnight.
So impressed purchased a 2nd light for the paved area. 1st light comes on as soon as I open my back door positioned approx.15ft away and the 2nd lights up the garden brilliantly as the dogs walk by. One of my dogs has poor eye sight and I used to have to go out with her every time when it was dark. Now she goes out with no hesitation. Excellent value for money, very easy to fit. Another little extra, included is a template for the screws that you just peel the back off put on where you need to drill. Comes with USB to charge up. Cannot fault this product at all and would highly recommend. The Light is very bright as well and looks really nice.
I’m very impressed with this solar light, its easy to fit, brighter than I though it would be. I have it above my garage door and I’ve set it to dim (all night which is plenty of light) and when the motion detector kicks in, it’s a Bright led cooI light and Not a warm light. I have just ordered another 2 for my garden and when I let the dogs (3) out to do there business, it will lit up as clear as a football pitch lol.
Really simple to fit to my shed and once charged has lasted for several weeks. Needed something to light my way to the shed and be able to see the lock, as it happens it also lights up a portion of my small garden too. It does exactly what it says it should. So much more reliable than the solar powered one it replaced, this obviously lights up once it gets dark and the motion sensor is triggered, especially so during the dark winter nights.
I would recommend this product, I have it over my wheelie bins around the side of my house. This light brightens up all of the surrounding area once motion is detected. It also has other modes if you prefer to have it on all the time.
So far so very good! Having had little success with other outdoor solar light brands, both recently and over the years, this was my last great hope.
Others claiming to work all year round are way short of the mark. This little beauty so far is working after all day cloud and downpours, even using the the dim and PIR function. I assume this is due to the large panel area and high conversion rate. Dim level is adequate, PIR is really bright.
The LED Indicators and USB charge socket are a real bonus, and the construction has a nice quality feel. Delivery was excellent.
I’m so pleased with this that I’ve ordered a small tilt/turn TV type bracket (less than a fiver) to attach it to a mounting post – perfect for positioning the panel for maximum sunlight. Make sure the panel faces South, West or SW.
I’ll be ordering more now I know this can be relied on.
A really good price for a really good product!
Purchased one at first; it arrived well packaged & promptly. I fixed it in position, where it has worked for over 2 months without any snags. The flat profile means no stray light to annoy neighbours / wildlife etc. I have now purchased 4 more to equip others properties; all 5 are working well and charging sufficiently in all weather despite low / little sun over last 2 weeks. I 100% recommend these JESLED fittings. Light shines for approx 15 secs after movements cease, perfect! Good range of sensitivity too. Much better in all respects than other solar LED security and similar flat profile lights I have tried before. I would buy again.
Bright light and no problem charging, even in low light. I use them on my driveway in the motion detection mode. You have to be very close to trigger them to come on and they only stay on for 15 seconds which isn’t long enough for my needs. They’ll do until I find something better.
Great product apart from not being able to adjust angle if solar panel or light. However still highly recommended. Bought mine in November and charges even on most dull days. I have mine on the porch and set to stay on low light continuesly and bright on motion sense. Light stays on all night. About to order 3 for back garden.
The light is great! I use only in the mode where its off as long no one is near and works very well. It has a charge indicator and you can dismount it and charge it with an usb cable! Is quite expensive but I recommend it
UPDATED REVIEW: The light is very good quality and still works, however after some intense rain the off-on function I was using is not working anymore. Instead of going off and then coming on when someone approaches, it only stays on with low light. All the other functions still work. A real shame
Have to admit that these lights really are very good indeed, I particularly like the green charging light when the sun does it’s work charging the batteries.
The reason that I took a star off is because mounting it relies on drilling through a template rather than a physical mounting bracket.
However, it does it’s job admirably.
