It’ll do the job. I had issues with the handles staying on the bars, which needs to be addressed but other than that it now works great. Will test it once it’s dry

This mower is the best mower I’ve found that isn’t a cheap standard mower but doesn’t break the bank. Rollers are fantastic and striping is fantastic. Takes a bit to set up and get use to

if you want a hand mower to look after and produce fantastic definition stripes and a fantastic cut on a well maintained lawn look no further….if you’re looking for a mower that can cope with a lawn that has been neglected for weeks…look else where.

Lighter than I thought and gives good stripe finish and easy to use

Easy to assemble and set up. Glides really well and cuts exceptionally. Alot better then my other mower. Leaves your grass looking excellent. Well happy with the quality of the product and the finish it creates.

See picture and enough said. Lawn was cut at around 15mm using the Webb.

Been one of my best buys to be frank. Seems well built and blades are very sharp and the roller works well to really bring out those stripes. Love the fact that it costs 0 on energy or petrol and I pretty much mow the lawn 3 times a week and enjoy clean cut look each time I get out of it.

For the lawn enthusiast not ready to fork out say 3 grand for an Allett Stirling, a 100 quid alternative in the Webb is a no brainer.

For the ignorant reviews claiming this doesn’t cut well, this is a CYLINDER mower! Cylinder mowers are designed to cut lawn that is already short and you are using the cylinder to give it that fine and sharp finish. If you want to tackle shin/knee height jungle of a lawn and cut back then get yourself a rotary mower (right tool for the right job).

There is no better alternative if you don't want to fork out thousands of £'s for Alle

Bought to replace an electric cylinder mower. Arrived quickly and very easy to assemble. Once properly set up produces a perfect cut with nice stripes on the grass. I find it to be no more effort than pushing an electric mower. Used on a small lawn about 150m sq. I still use an electric rotary for the first few cuts of the season and if the grass is a bit long or wet. In good conditions I cut the grass daily just taking a trim off the top.

I have a lawn about 28 m and have been mowing it for years with a petrol Qualcast classic 35. Sadly that mover packed in and I have been looking for months at corded and cordless electric mowers and their ridiculous cost.

So based entirely upon reading about 50 reviews I bought this Webb hand-push lower lesson 24 hours ago. It took only 10 minutes to assemble, and a few more minutes to adjust the cutting height and get the feel of it but it is absolutely excellent! I cannot believe that I have been messing around with petrol carburettors et cetera for years when I could’ve had something so light and so simple and frankly so much fun! Now I can mow the lawn with something that is easier to push lighter to lift quieter and actually get a slightly better cut in the original petrol machine.

I will be recommending this to anyone I talk to as a solution for small lawns !

    This is a revelation!!

I brought this as my flymo tended to leave the grass shaggy. This little wonder cuts in a fraction of the time and has improved my lawn beyond recognition. I think it has helped that I enjoy using it so much I now cut my little lawn every other day . It is silent and easy to keep clean . Would be no good for n a long or unkempt lawn . Beware this may turn you into a lawn obsessive, it has me .
I was asked a few days ago if my lawn was astroturf all down to regular use of this simple little mower.

My wife, who absolutely loves her garden loves this mower, goodness knows we’ve tried enough cylinder mowers over the years. Light, easy to manoeuvre very good cut if a little narrow for the area we have to mow. However the grass bit is not at all durable with fabric fraying and stitches dropping out after half a season. I can see myself having to build a new grass bin for this mower. Nice mower same about the very flimsy bin.

Great mower far better than my hover which spread grass everywhere. This picks up all the grass and is easy to push. Leaves a good finish with stripes great for my small lawn. Easy to assemble, delivered on time.

5 stars for Mower excellent quality if I could have written it review for the grass “box?” Wouldn’t have given it 1 star it kept falling apart. Nothing you can’t fix with some long cable ties but that shouldn’t be needed!.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersDelivery was surprisingly quick. I was initially notified that it would be delivered Friday but received it Tuesday morning after placing my order on the Saturday. The mower itself was easy enough to assemble and adjust. One of the wing nuts the insert came loose but was replace by customer services the next day. I did my initial cut on the lowest setting, mainly to cut as much thatch out as possible and although the grass was probably 2 cm above its highest setting it was relatively easy. Subsequent cuts have been much easier albeit at a higher cut. It does cut the grass cleanly and does leave a nice stripe. I do only have a small garden so the 30cm cut width is ideal for me.

Here are my gripes and I’ll let you decide if they are a problem. The plastic WEBB name badge has peeled off after a couple of days. You have to keep pushing for the blades to rotate, there is no free rotating inertia. If you need to pull the mower back and forth the rear roller drags, i.e. it does not have a free rolling gear mechanism when pulling backwards (front roller is independent so rotates freely both ways). The grass box or net can get snagged on certain plants to the edge of the lawn. So far no rips but I guess time will tell on that one.

So in summary for my needs I am happy with the mower and the excellent cut. I do now regret ditching my old hand push mower a couple of decades ago that was a Rolls Royce of a mower in comparison but for the money I am not complaining.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWas looking for a cylinder push mower as was getting tired with my electric mower with regards the cable, getting twisted throwing over your shoulder to keep it clear of the rotary blade.

If your keen on your lawn this cylinder mower is an excellent piece of kit. Delivery from Heritage was 7 days earlier than forecast by Amazon.

Easy to assemble and instructions are clear. I ordered this model due to the low cutting height you can achieve by adjusting the front roller. The finish is 100% better than my rotary mower.

The benefits apart from the finish is that, and if your like me and cut your grass a least twice a week is the noise reduction as opposed to electric. Therefore for all you keen on cutting your Lawn can start early morning or later in the evening so that not to disturb your neighbours.

Can’t say what it would be like when cutting long grass as i keep mine short. Would only use my electric mower if i had been on holiday and grass was long also maybe first cut of the year. All in all a good looking quality product for the price.

Would you actually believe it ? We all get used to certain things and ways of doing stuff and often you’d THINK ‘old’ was bad and ‘new’ was better…. NOT SO… hand pushed lawn mowers do an INFINITELY better job than either electric or petrol mowers, ESPECIALLY if your lawn is less than perfectly FLAT, as most are NOT !! EXCELLENT MOWER !!

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersThis mower is great. It’s all chain driven from a series of rollers and no wheels, which means you get good stripes even on a single pass, without wheel tracks. Instructions are clear and help with the setup of the mower. As long as you follow the instructions it will work fine (as with many things in life).

Some have moaned the front roller squashes the grass down and doesn’t cut it, yes it will do that if you don’t mow your grass frequently but properly maintained lawns will spring back up before the blade and be cut just fine. If you don’t have the time or see as cutting the lawn more as a chore then this probably isn’t for you.

The collection bag works fine catching everything that pops up. Tho, as with a lot of front bagged cylinder mowers, it can be hard to see where to line up your next stripe.

I can zip round my lawns without any issues even on my bumpy back lawn, tho on the highest setting. The resulting cut is fantastic and really makes a difference on how the lawn looks and grows afterwards.

It’s also fantastic for the late night mowing when the kids are in bed and you don’t want to wake them.

Only gripe I have is it could be heavier, in this case the lawn mower being heavier will help produce more defined stripes, but I’ll have to settle for doing multiple passes.

    In conclusion;
If mowing is a chore, this is not for you. If your willing to put some time and effort in this will help you produce fantastic results.

Great manual mower for the enthusiastic mowe

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI bought this as back-up for my Mountfield rotary mower and decided to go for a high-end brand like Webb as I truly believe you really do get what you pay for.
Once assembled, this is a great bit of kit for the gardener that mows frequently and likes good stripes on their lawn. Once you’ve worked out what hight you need, the mower really does glide across the lawn with great results!
I actually use this much more frequently than my petrol rotary mower, but this hand mower is not suitable for cutting long grass and would suit someone that cuts frequently – I cut 2 or 3 times a week to maintain a good healthy lawn.
The grass collector on the front seems to work fine for me. It will come off if you catch it on a thick bush, but when pacing up and down the lawn it works perfectly well for me and does a great job of collecting the clippings and very easy to remove and empty.
Couldn’t have asked for more with this product…..5 stars!!!

This is a great little lawn mower and would recommend to anyone who wants their lawn to look at it’s best.
The main reason for this being better is the fact that it’s a cylinder mower and not a rotary.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI have always had push lawnmowers as it isn’t easy to run power to my garden, and the electric models are so expensive.

My previous push lawnmowers haven’t cut the crash well. More ripped it, and haven’t had a proper roller.

This does a lovely cut straight out the box.

I just found it funny the stickers for the brand fell off straight away.

The handle doesn’t like stand up, making me think I fitted it wrong. I haven’t, but stick the handle of the grass collector on it, and it’s sorted the issue when storing.

I really like this product and I would recommend it.

The unit is built to last, unlike almost everything these days, a mesh catch and lawn cuttings box is to be expected at that price point, a fabricated box was a good short project, its a hand me down item, just simple maintenance and a can of lubricant, debs duck oil, not that cleaner wd40

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersHusband loves this mower. Easy to manoeuvre, various cutting heights and easy to push on an uneven lawn (which we’re trying to sort out). Having had various well known brands of electric mowers over the years, my husband has gone back to the simplest type of mower you can get. After a years use, the blades are still sharp and easy to sharpen if necessary. One happy gardener!

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersMower really exceeds expectation, at first it was a bit fiddly in setting it up to cut straight and get the right height but once over that it was great. This is a secondary mower for me, my first only cuts to 25mm and I was specifically looking for a shorter cut, the stripes this produces is an added bonus. I would recommend this for anyone who doesn’t cut regularly, I’d never use this for my first cuts in spring when the grass is a bit overgrow

    Excellent mower for the price

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersHaving just disposed of my Birmid Qualcast mower of 36 years, this Webb equivalent was the closest I could find. It has got a good weight and smooth cut. The only downside is the make-up of the handles, which are obviously produced in four pieces for packaging purposes. The mesh grass cuttings collector is also a downside and not as shown in picture.
