This is my very first electric weed burner, and I must say I am totally impressed. Our backyard looks beautiful and clean of weeds in just a couple of days after using the weed burner. It’s a lightweight tool and easy to carry, and the electric weed burner works without actually touching the weeds. Heat them up for a few seconds, and then they will die off in a couple of days. The electric weed burner heats up fast, is very easy to use, and is much more practical and convenient than using chemical weed killers. The quality is good, and I would definitely recommend it.

This product is made well, fairly light in my opinion and very easy to assemble.
The lead could be a touch longer but it’s still fine, you will just probably need an extension lead.
It has 2 different nozzle attachments so you can attack weeds without damaging surrounding plants. I have mainly used the larger attachment for weeds coming through the edges of the patio. It works well, but it does take a while. It is essentially like a large, red hot hairdryer that burns weeds down to the root. To get that kind of heat it does take a while and I found initially focussing on one weed at a time made it really smell and take forever but as time goes on and it gets hotter, it works better.
The trigger switch works every time which is always handy! Just be very careful that you don’t touch it and put it somewhere right out of the way after use for it to cool completely.

    Easy to use gadge

This weed burner is very easy to use, you just plug it in and you are ready to go.

It is great for weeds that grow in concrete however I would be careful anywhere else as you wouldn’t want to burn anything else.

If you struggle with bending down to get weeds, this is a great product.

Once warmed up this gizmo sorts out the weeds, but you need to wait for a couple of days to see the full result.
After that you can sweep away the residue on a paved driveway with a stiff brush !

Very easy to use. Comfortable to handle. The 3 meter cable is enough but would be better if it’s 5 meter so I don’t have to drag the extension lead near me. Burns and kills weed fast. We used it on the gravel area and pavings. I don’t have to worry about harmful chemicals contaminating the soil or hurting animals. It’s better for the environment. Haven’t seen them grow back yet especially the perennials but it is easy enough to burn them again until they get tired of growing. It’s cheaper to use this too that the galloons of weed killer we have already used this summer.

This is a very good way to get rid of weeds in certain situations. It certainly hasn’t been able to replace other weeding tools, it has complemented them. The tools work well and really convenient to use.

i much prefer this to the gas ones i have used previously, firstly you never run out of gas halfway through a job because it’s electric the 2 nozzles are great, after use the weeds look wilted but after a day or 2 they have died off, it is really light weight and very easy to use with 2 different heat settings, i also feel that with this very hot weather it is safer than a flame gas weed burne

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe’ve got a gravelled area in our garden because we thought it would be low maintenance but keeping the weeds down is a never ending battle. I don’t like using chemical weed-killers so I was keen to try out this plug in alternative.
I’ve tested it a couple of times now and there are pros and cons. On the plus side it’s a great way of treating weeds that grow through cracks in paving slabs where you have no hope at getting to the roots. They do shrivel and seem to have died a few days later but I can’t comment on how quickly they will grow back. For a purely gravelled area more traditional weeding doesn’t take much longer and will get most of the roots out of the ground as well.

There is no actual flame – just very hot air, but it doesn’t seem sensible to use this in really dry periods where there is a heightened fire risk.
The product itself comes with instructions and feels well made. Unless you’ve got a tiny garden you will need a suitable outdoor extension cable to be able to use the burner.

Electric hand held weed burner with a 3 mtr lead, this is very easy to put together and is very light to hold when using and ideal for patio’s or driveways for getting rid of the unwanted weeds rather than using weed killers that harm the environment let alone any pets you may have, the cost I feel at 58 is a bit high compared to other brands but other than that this will do the weeding effectively with little effort just be careful not to use near flammable items that you don’t want to get rid of or you could cause a problem

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI must say the safety aspect of a flameless weed-burner appealed to me, and being electric it saves having to keep buying gas refills.

It has two power level settings on a simple switch on the handle. For the most part, if you give the weeds a good blast and leave them for a day or two you can just scrape away the remains with ease, but in the current warm weather with much vegetation well dried out to begin with they can shrivel up very fast.

It comes with two nozzles; a flattened one for edging and crevices, and a wide nozzle for barbecues and ice-melting.

It comes with a 3-metre power cable terminating in a three-pin plug. There is a cable clip on the handle stem to keep the cable out of the way in use, but I didn’t find it very effective and so was always having to be mindful of keeping the cable well away from the business end of the blower.

It’s very light, easy to operate, even with one hand, and takes up minimal storage space. And it burns weeds up a treat.

Love this, previously been using weed killer which I’m not a fan off. Don’t like spraying chemicals so tend to avoid it unless I really have too. This machine works great, plug it in pull the trigger and point at the weeds. It burns them easily, you can see them frazzle when you lift the head off. I’ve removed all the weeds from the driveway and around the lawn, managed to burn a couple of little bits of grass but the weeds are away and the grass can be repaired. The cable is fairly short on it, only 3 metres so I had to use an extension cable to get around the garden with it but that wasn’t really an issue. A second tool is also provided for lighting BBQ’s, simply attach the end (make sure its not still hot if you’ve been doing weeds) then point at your fuel in BBQ and switch on. Love this.

it works, seams a little slower than its gas powered counterparts however you dont have to buy the fuel for it so i would consider it a fair trade off.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve never used an electric weed killer. I’ve stopped using any chemical killers on weeds as most seem to have carcinogenic properties and I have animals that are in the garden daily. So keeping weeds controlled between slabs can be arduous. This year, lack of rain has helped as they’re dying off naturally.

I’ve used this on some very persistent weeds and was amazed at how quickly they shrivelled up and died off. Don’t know whether they’ll come back. It’s easy to use,; I just set up the extension cable, p,urged in the device and set the hottest temperature and it was good to go. It’s straightforward to operate and felt comfortable. Feels robust, but no so heavy that it’s awkward. There’s a separate nozzle for lighting barbeque coals which I haven’t tried, but no reason to think it won’t work and it would certainly be safer than lighter fluid or bricks. No smell to taint the food. It’s competitive in price and works as promised, so I’m happy.

This is a fairly compact weed burner that has pros and cons over the gas burners, but generally I think it’s better.

Gas burners are a bit cheaper, but the gas isn’t free and it does worry me that it’s not an entirely environmentally kind choice either. Similarly weed killer isn’t always a good choice, especially where animals and children play.

This is effectively a hot air gun on a stick. You get a 3m lead which is nice, as although you’ll undoubtedly be using an extension lead, you’ve 3m radius before having to move a heavier reel. I think it’s safer not having a flame too, as it can be used closer to combustible items.

Weeds die back pretty quickly – first they look sorry after you’ve heated them, but they die off a couple of days later. Faster than weed killer, although maybe not as permanent.

Lightweight and fairly easy to use, it can also get BBQ’s up and running quicker too. Well made and probably almost worth the 58 (at time of review).
