These are the best knives ever, so sharp and stylish and all in the most elegant box.
These knives will last a lifetime and now it is a pleasure to prepare food of any kind
without having to hack into my chopping boards.
The price I paid for the knives seemed high but once you recieve them they are worth much more.

My partner always says we need really good knives: we tend to get sets that are acceptable, but they are never sharp enough for his liking, whereas I’m just happy he doesn’t chop his fingers off! These knives, however, are something else – and yes, are insanely, insanely sharp.

Pros:
– Extremely sharp – right out of the box these knives make light work of cutting and require little effort to cut stiff vegetables like cabbage, and slice through grizzly meat like butter
– Only four knives, but accommodates any need you may have for kitchen knives at home (paring, chopping, santoku and the trusty bread knife)
– Made up of a single piece of steel, from tip to handle this is called full tang (with the handle bolted to the material) – they are very sturdy and well balanced
– The handles are very ergonomic, great to handle and easy to use (no rubber but the plastic is fairly rough and grippy)
– German steel is not as hard as Japanese steel, so these knives don’t require as much care as harder steel does and will better suit the home chef for everyday usage
– Very precise due to how thin they are, so cutting into tiny sections with high frequency is quick and seamless
– The covers are made of hard plastic and have a plastic bolt (on string) to hold them on, which makes them super secure and also protected from damage
– Come in a well-presented box – we are likely to store these in there for now, they feel too expensive to shove in our cutlery drawer!

Cons:
– Due to being steel, they are heavier than your traditional knife (not necessarily a bad thing but worth mentioning)

So overall, these are really sharp, balanced and high quality knives, which you obviously pay the extra money for but they will make life-long assets to your kitchen. I’d be very worried about my partner using them if they didn’t have the covers, so it’s good they’re protected, just bear in mind these are very professional-grade knives that will cause damage if you don’t respect them! Fantastic set to have that makes cutting clean and easy, with a lifetime warranty for peace of mind.
