Frays a bit when cut but with a bit of care and attention and having read reviews of others saying the same, I took my time to cut carefully and didn’t rush through it and snipped away the loose frays.

Value for money, not bad… could be worse.
Cultivated a patch ready for vegetables later in month. Covered the area nicely, with some to spare, which I will use too line hanging baskets. Very good value.

Have bought this to lay over soil where lawn will go, to stop weeds growing (and me having to dig them up again). I ordered two. Very easy to use and seem to be durable. They are certainly thicker than some I have used before.
I’ve only scored a 4 for durability because I’ve only just laid them down, so they haven’t been tested.

Be aware of unraveling when cut and leave enough to turn under before pegging down.
Seems to be a strong weed membrane that won’t tear unless you cut it. I marked it down for ease-of-use simply because it is shipped folded and not rolled. You have to unfold the entire piece of fabric before you can use it – I tell you that was fun on a windy day 😉
This membrane is all you need to keep the weeds at bay. It’s certainly thick enough – so much so that it’s actually quite difficult to pierce to peg it in place. It’s simple enough to cut (recommend using scissors, rather than a blade, as the latter causes the weave to loosen in a raffia effect).
Things I like about it:
– it’s tough enough for the job
– available in a range of lengths and widths
– it’s CHEAP!
Things I don’t like about it:
– nothing!
If you’re after a sufficiently durable weed membrane at a fraction of the cost in your local garden centre, this is just the ticket! Go buy with confidence!
I am pleased with ANSIO Weed Membrane 2Mx25M. Having just put it down I cannot comment on durability. It is reasonable priced.
The product is folded rather than rolled .This is an inconvenience since it needs to be fully unfolded before being cut to fit. However does not take long.
It does fray badly when cut. I overcame this by folding the ends that are cut before pinning down. This stops the fray spreading.
* The membrane comes folded, i imagine this is easier to transport and pick and pack but its more of a pain than a roll that you might get at a DIY Store as you spend a little while unfolding it then folding it back if you are going to cut it, that said you could always roll it up yourself when done!
* The material is very tough, you can see from the pictures it is not the cheap membrane that you can tear with your hands it is heavy duty. One of the pluses about heavyweight membrane like this is not having to lay rocks on it when putting it down to save it from blowing away!
* I used a Stanley knife to cut this, scissors would be just as good, it doesnt fray very much at all at the cuts which is good because again with cheap membrane you tend to end up with lots of frayed parts you end up cutting again.
* There was a little damage on membrane from the pack i received, nothing too big and it most likely wont matter once there is 3 or 4 tonnes of hardcore and gravel on top of it.
* I measured the total pack and it did measure at 10m by 2m with a little over on the length so that’s another positive.
Overall i would highly recommend this, its heavy duty, i am sure it will last whilst giving the protection from weeds and roots required. I am not going to mark it down based on the small imperfections in the pack i got, sometimes faults in frabric occur in any manufacturing and its really not an issue.
