Benazcap Case for Steam Deck, Impact Resistant Grip Case with Built-in Kickstand, Compatible with Valve Steam Deck Console, Black
If you’re clumsy like me you know full well you’ll drop gadgets at some point. The SteamDeck is not a cheap device by any means and if you ever hope to sell it on one day you need to keep from scratching the case.
It’s made from a plastic/rubber mix of some kind, very solid once in place, has holes in all the right place, although the kickstand on the back feels a little flimsy it does the job. Nice tactile rubber dimples in the moulding on the sides so you don’t get sweaty palms from the rubber, nice touch.
Yes it will make it a little bigger but it still fits in the official SteamDeck zipper case without feeling like you’re packing a suitcase for a month long holiday!
Worth every penny if you’re a clumsy moron like me!
It does what i need it to do, no complaints!
As above. Very happy with the purchase. Stand seems decent enough and it fits into the Ivola dock as well. Ticks all boxes for me.
Great case for steam deck. No issues with temps (don’t play many AAA titles though. Also it does fit in the steam deck carry case for those of you who are wondering
cant fault this case. Deck stays cool, it still fits in the original case and if anything, i think it makes holding the steam deck even nicer. Good stand though i wish it was sprung to hold its out position better when you pick up the deck and want to place it back on the table again. For the price, definitely recommended.
Well, I was sceptical as I was interested in a few others (which most already know which ones). All were out of stock so for 20, I though lets give this a go.
It is a really great protective case, feels good in hand (though does add a little extra heft/bulk), love the texture feeling on the grip and the fact it does not touch the back of the steam deck.
As most cases like these, you might want to check if it will fit in your dock/stand as mine does not but perches well enough.
Overall, very happy with it even though the design on the back is pretty bad.
Works great except it doesn’t fit in the steam deck case so you have to remove it each time you store it.
Good comfortable case with a decent kickstand and nice snug fit,but beware the kickstand doesn’t lock into place so deck could get knocked backwards, but no big deal as its in a case..Good access to all the buttons. Please note the deck with case on will not fit in official steam dock so bear this in mind.
Great case for what I’m looking for wanted to protection again scratches and minor drops with added benefit of the kickstand. The kickstand may I mention is nothing like the one on the switch it’s actually useable and feels sturdy!
Update –
After receiving the official Steam Deck Dock I’ve found that due to the moulded cable design it will not fit into the usb c port when the case is on. It’s a easy fix you just have to cut the hole to be slightly larger so it fits in flush properly. Or you could buy a mini extender for a usb c plug either would work.
Much better than the dbrand case, more affordable and the customer service is great!
This fits perfectly, has a nice grip feel, the stand does it’s job, fits in the original carrying case with this on no problemo. Owning Benazcap is owning different life, you’ve heard that saying before, you know it is legit.
This looks a bit thin and doesn’t inspire much confidence when you first remove it from its packaging, but provides a little bit of impact protection for your Steam Deck. It should stop the back of the Deck from getting scuffed up from daily use. The back of the case where your palms will grip it has a textured surface, making it a bit easier to hold onto the device. The main feature I bought this for though, was the kickstand. It’s great to be able to put the Deck on a desk or table, flip the kickstand out and have it standing up, with the screen pointing towards me. I got it at a good price too.
Currently the best case I’ve tested at a reasonable price that feels comfortable and looks great.
I looked around for a while before settling for this case. I was unsure if I wanted to wait for Killswitch or get a cheap one right out of the gate. I am glad I decided to go straight ahead and purchase this! It feels fantastic. The grips offer amazing grip and have had no issues with them.
The back stand is probably the weakest point of the case. I love that I can stand it whenever I need, however it feels quite flimsy and rattles occasionally when not in use.
Overall, I would 100% recommend this to anyone getting the steamdeck!
Also it does fit the standard carrying case
Reiterating what the other reviewers said (thanks to Calum for pushing me over the edge to purchase this)
Brilliant case. Textured feel around the grips which helps comfort while holding the deck. Fits like a glove with perfectly sized cutouts over all the buttons/ports/vents.
The kickstand I wasn’t too bothered about before receiving my deck, but after using this case I think it’s invaluable. Being able to sit the deck on my desk upright for the initial setup, installing emulators, setting up games, etc has been brilliant. Allows me to watch videos / read articles on my PC while also using the deck comfortably.
The Dbrand case is 50+! Get this one instead
This fit the deck perfectly and made it feel more secure and also comfortable to hold the deck due its textured grips. Kick stand works really well and has been really useful when using desktop mode. Deck still fits inside it’s original carry case which was really important to me as I didn’t see the point in buying an alternative case. No noticeable change in temperature while in use. No complaints whatsoever and would highly recommend.
Fits snugly and feels protective. Really like the hand grip sections – the deck feels a lot more secure in my hands than without! The kickstand is also at the perfect angle to allow you to play the deck on a table without needing to hold the weight of the device. A very well designed product – would recommend.
Took some pics of the case to show someone so figured I may as well write this since i bothered to take pics lol.
Great case, easily clicks on and feels firm. Not plastic yet not floppy rubber, though the centre of the back is likely plastic and the kickstand is metal.
It fit well over my deck even though i had a skin on it and at least the skin still shows through the back which i liked. Will it protect my deck? only if i drop it in a very specific way i guess lol, but that is no fault of this case it is just the fact the entire front has to have no protection. But it deffo feels firm and more rugged and the Deck still fits in the carry case it came with.
Highly recommend this item, it’s cheap, well made and makes the deck feel more robust!
The Steam Deck is quite flimsy, protection such as this is a must. It still fits in the carry case and feels very snug and comfortable on the device. For the current price of 24 I would say it is worth it.
Combined with a USB hub, the stand makes for a good alternative to having a dock for now. You’ll want this stand so that the SD can properly ventilate when hooked to a tv or monitor.
The only thing I wish this had that it doesn’t is more protection on the front side where the screen is. It feels like if you drop it on its face the console will break anyway.
I just thought I’d do a quick summary for my first week with the Benazcap Case for Steam Deck. Honestly, I was waiting to see how Dbrands Project Killswitch would turn out, I did my own research into available products and selected what I considered (on paper) as the ‘best’.
Along with the images I’ll list the key points for me
+ Easy fit – simple installation, feels robust, rigid
+ Textured hand grips (I get hot hands so this is a must for me)
+ Kickstand requires minimal pull to release, but enough to not do it by accident
+ Kickstand angle is great angle to sit under your monitor/on desk to use
+ Notice no heat feeling whilst handheld gaming for hours
+ Deck still fits inside original Valve carry case
+ All rear buttons work without case interference
+ 54% cheaper than the announced Dbrand Killswitch case (52 minus shipping)
Lastly, a temperature test. This was taken at room temperature across a four hour period.

Overall I’m pleasantly surprised by this, I’ve never heard of the brand before but considering the time I had put in checking several cases, I thought to give this a go. Early days but extremely happy with it, hopefully this helps others too in making a case decision.
This is the best all around case you can get for the Steam Deck at the moment, no issues with the shoulder buttons like some cases out there, stand functions as expected.
Bonus points for making it fit in the carrying case too.
This case is a perfect fit for the steam deck and easy to put on/remove. Yes it adds a little weight, yes the stand mechanism could be a but more premium like the OLED switch but it does it’s job and holds the deck and stays standing up. It basically does exactly what it is meant to. In addition it provides a nice barrier between the heat of the deck and my sweaty palms while keeping all buttons accessible and not getting in the way
Best case I could find – good price too. No air flow blockages, leaves room between back and case, good grips and still fits in the deck case no problem!
So I would still say the best case right now. Stand is a big bonus.
It is a really good case with pretty sturdy support, and kickstand, and it also fits in the case of the steam deck, I would definitely recommend getting it.
