The weight of the tablet is a bit much for the stand but I’ve found a way to make it worth it. The size of the device is so good. I can manage a great professional look and dock my dex tablet and use it even better. I also because of the look and presentation can take this to a Starbucks and once again, look like a million bucks. People look twice at me because they expect inferiority but as I’m practicing my craft, products like these, as stealth looking as possible, help to finish creating an image of quality. This device actually charges as the pass thru works very well. I’m happy to have found this.
Klein, handlich, voll funktional ohne Einschrnkungen. Steam Deck liegt stabil drin.
My first one died unexpectedly after about four months, but the company has a great warranty and replaced it within days. Great customer support and a good produc
I bought my SteamDeck about 2 months ago and didn’t realise I’d be using it as much as I have. I recently went away and stayed in hotel where they offered a HDMI socket under the room TV, I duly used that with a USB hub to play games in the evenings rather than watch the naff TV channels.
When I got home I realised that the SteamDeck is a great console and wanted a dock that would offere decent quality HDMI output on my home TV, plus some features like USB sockets. This dock works brilliantly, the HDMI output is crystal clear and I’ve have had the console running at 3000px+ resolution but kept it down at 1920px, no glitches, cutouts or anything. The ethernet port is useful as I’ve been able to run a CAT5 from the router about 2ft away.
I’ve now stopped playing games on my laptop, switched to the SteamDeck for gaming on my TV with a bog standard XBOX controller. If you find you too are starting to head that way then I would certainly consider getting this dock, it’s the perfect compliment for any SteamDeck owner.
Product seems to work as described so far, allows for up to 4K60Hz(though not recommended as the steam deck does not love it), mouse and keyboard with USB dongles work when used in the USB slots, and when used with appropriate power supply(using my 39W switch power cable until getting a 45W) the device works perfectly and would recommend should you wish to skip the $80-$90 Valve dock.
Performs perfectly with no issues! It has run everything I have asked it to do without hesitation or any weird behaviour. Superb little device
The dock allows for multiple controllers for couch coop or keyboard mouse and other accessories for more solo oriented play. Great value definitely a must have accessory.
Nothing to complain about, the dock works as described by the seller. Could be lower priced however.
Great for the steamdeck, works really well, impressive and nicely made
I originally bought the official Steamdeck dock which was fine but had one major flaw – if you have a protective case/kickstand case then you will need to remove it on order to use the dock. The Benazcap dock is designed so that you can use it with the Steamdeck within it’s protective case . Additionally it feels much sturdier than the official dock being wider and made of aluminium. It is not the cheapest dock on the market but in my opinion, it worth a little paying a bit extra for a quality product which will last.
This is a great strong aluminum product Solid docking station with hdmi output. I’d recommend for sure.
This is just what I was looking for. Solid docking station with hdmi output and the ability to add other peripherals. The dock will charge the deck as well. Great product and I highly recommend this one.
This docking station is perfect for Steam deck owners who have the Dbrand KillSwitch case. It fits flush with the case on and the USB C port clicks in perfectly. It out puts 4k60hz no problem as well. Great built quality and best bang for the buck!
I brought this for my steam deck to use on a bigger screen. It works and performs all that I want it to. You can also use it unpowered as a dock for memory sticks and mouse receiver.
Docks the Deck pretty well, provides a nice HDMI output and networking along with USB ports. Hard to criticise.
Nice solid constructed aluminum dock for the steam deck. It has rubber feet on the bottom to prevent sliding and inside the dock area to protect the steam deck. It’s a pretty compact size so it fits great on a small desk. Despite the size, it still holds the deck strongly. For example, if I tilt the deck back, the whole dock goes with it instead of the deck slipping out.
I tested it connected to a 4k TV which for some reason showed 30hz on the TV, but inside Linux on the deck it showed 4k@60hz. Not sure what that means, but it could possibly mean the dock supports 60hz, but can only output 30, or my hdmi cable doesn’t support it so it dropped to 30. Everything works, the three usb3 ports were all used at the same time, the ethernet is 1G and works. The dock even works without the power delivery connected, but of course it drains your steam deck battery instead. Otherwise, with my power connected to the dock, the steam deck charges up as fast as always. This dock has 3 usb3.0 ports which I prefer to others that sacrifice usb ports for microsd readers and such. With the three usb ports, I can just add whatever I need as seen in the video. I tested read/write speeds of the nvme sssd I had attached and it ran at usb3.0 speeds on par with my other computers for that drive.
It may have little reviews right now, but it’s a solid dock and can’t beat the price.
Works great, zero issues. Doesn’t have any problems with eARC like other brands.
It all works really well but didn’t have a great out of the box experience. The main issue is that I cant get 4K 60Hz to work, it only works at 4K 30Hz. The Steam Deck picks it up as 4K 60Hz and changes its output to that but nothing appears on the TV. If I manually adjust the Steam Deck to 4K 30Hz then an image appears on my TV. The TV is a newish OLED and other devices display 4K 60Hz fine on the TV.
I almost sent this back when I first got it as I couldn’t get the display to work, but luckily Valve released an update that week that allows you to put the display into a safe mode so that it defaults to 720p when a TV is connected, that way I could actually see an image and change it to 1080p 60Hz which is what I settled on as the best resolution for the Steam Deck.
All other ports work fine including the 1Gb ethernet port. Plastic quality is good enough and holds the Steam Deck well.
My son also uses this as a dock for his Switch. As that has its USB port at the bottom, we put it on its left side so that we don’t have the fan exhaust pointing downwards
First off this is a great product, video comes through perfect and functionally it works great. My only issue is that when the Steam deck is docked and in a benzacap case it sits too upright. I feel that if the rest was 2-3mm wider it would fit the Steam deck in the case better.
To complement the accessories that Benazcap provides the Steam Deck (Most notably the Deck Case and Screen Protectors) they also provide an affordable Dock. I purchased this roughly two weeks ago so I’ve had a bit of time with it.
The unit is slick, minimal and the rear groove does not interfere with the deck exhaust/dissipation. To protect the device and surfaces, the dock has four rubber feet on the bottom along with two rubber pads for where the Deck sits.
For the image showing the rear of the Deck, from left to right you get a Gigabit Ethernet port, HDMI 2.0 port, USB-C port (65w PD Charging) and three USB-A 3.0 ports. If you are after 4K@60hz gaming, your pre-requisites for this Deck Dock consist of a plug and usb-c cable capable of powering it (65W or more) along with a HDMI 2.0 cable. As this supports HDMI 2.0, you’ll also find compatible output modes 2K@60Hz/75Hz/120Hz and 1080p@60Hz/75Hz/120Hz. The Dock is also spacious enough to fit the Steam Deck in with its Benazcap Steam Case.
I can confirm that the Dock supports fast charging for my Deck and does exactly what is expected in terms of delivering game performance. For picture reference I am using a Gigabyte 32″ Monitor. Following a simple plug & play mechanic you can set this up in any room to allow monitor/tv gaming. As I am moving house soon, this will take primary location in my lounge with my 52″ Samsung screen.
Most of my bluetooth devices have unique dongles which makes the three ports of the Dock extremely useful (Wireless noise cancelling headphones, Wireless Logitech media keyboard, Wireless Xbox One Controller).
Finally, if you are looking to purchase this product then please take a look at the ‘Using Note’ on its Amazon page, as this discloses some of my already mentioned information above but also how to change resolution (eg to 4K).
I recommend this product. It looks smart, is extremely lightweight and is currently 55% cheaper than purchasing the official Valve Dock for a relative experience.
It does what it needs to do – supports 4k@60hz (make sure your HDMI cable is up to spec) and full speed charging. Use a 65w USB-C charger with the dock as extra peripherals/USB devices connected to the dock can draw additional power on top of the 45w needed to power the steam deck.
It’s not heavy but feels sturdy and it’s unlikely to snap/break. The design fits the steam deck perfectly – including the back rest not interfering with the fan vent.
Tips:
* Once docked you’ll get new “external display” settings in the deck’s settings menu. Untick all the “auto” options so you can change resolution and scaling independently.
* In desktop mode you can do a similar thing from the settings menu, including choosing to turn off the steam deck’s internal display once docked.
* If you have a bunch of RGB peripherals plugged into the dock you can download “OpenRGB” from the discover store to control them in desktop mode.
I’m sure there are benefits to getting the official Valve dock but as far as I’m concerned this one works perfectly
Perfect. Even plug my s22 ultra in for Samsung dex. Works perfectly. Genius device
5 port including a ethernet is amazing for 35.
Charges well to
Works I bet just as good as the official dock and looks like the official dock to. Got it today plugged it in and everything works great! cost from Valve was $89 for there;s and this under $50. I am happy
The USB ports all work, the Ethernet port gets full gigabit speed (tested), and the HDMI port gave me a confirmed 4k@60hz using a proper cable. Fully satisfied!
This dock is a great price compared to the OEM dock and works just as well. The box does not say 4k 60FPS but my TV did display it. It has a basic peripheral plugins that you need to run a keyboard or a mouse 3 USB 3.0 , 1 ethernet port and the steam deck fits perfectly fine in the dock. It’s lightweight and easy to use it does what it says it does. It does not include a power cord so you’ll have to use your own power cord. Overall I am very pleased with this dock and I don’t regret this purchase.
Works well. Honestly its very plug and play, just use common sense when setting it up honestly. I don’t understand the negative reviews here, it works just as described if you use the correct power cable which comes with the deck. Ive used it for a few days now and haven’t seen any hiccups blinks or anything.
Works perfectly on Steam deck no problems…..remember Steam are changing 70 plus for their DOCK…..
4k 60FPS CHECK
Ethernet working CHECK
3 x USB for keyboard, mouse, and external storage CHECK
Charges device CHECK
If you’re loooking for a reliable dock this is what you’re looking for. I’ve seen other hubs block the vents. This one leaves won’t, it room. The non slips grips are a nice touch as well.
Surprised there are not more reviews for this. This dock works perfectly. I used the power supply that came with the steam deck, plugged the ethernet into my mesh setup, connected my ps5 controller and everything works just as you would want it to.
Got this since Valve’s official dock got delayed. Works great. Does exactly what it advertise and can dock my Steam Deck to my tv without issue. Great value highly recommend.
This has all the features of the yet to be released valve docking station and they all work flawlessly. Have tested this for two weeks now and have yet to find an issue. You need a good power supply… which is what is supplied with the deck, so thats it.
Seems to works as advertised. Steam Deck menus displayed in 4k on my TV, and games play in their set resolutions. Not sure if it’s an issue with the deck itself or the HDMI connection being slow, but menus lag in 4k. I’m assuming it’s a steam deck processor/gfx issue tho.
Saw reviews stating this trickle charges the Steam Deck and some that mentioned no such thing like it wasnt an issue so I bought this just to see how it went.
The result is that the device works perfectly, I have not noticed any trickle charging so I wonder if the reviewers who left reviews sating as such perhaps plugged their official Steam Deck charger into this hub and got those results, which makes sense as the Deck needs the 45w the official cable gives, but if you plug that into this hub which needs power as well, then add in anything you plug in like USB devices then that equates more power draw.
I have a PSU which has multiple USB-C and USB-A plugs to power multiple devices and 1 of the USB-C outlets gives out 65W so i plugged this into this HUB and connected the hub to the Steam Deck and I have zero issues powering my Steam Deck so far.
HDMI is working as intended on my 27″ BENQ Monitor and a rando brand 13″ portable Monitor, ethernet also works perfectly fine, disabled Wifi on the Deck just to make sure and out of nowhere what i did not expect was my New World game to work properly, no idea why, I have read wifi is an issue for some, perhaps the ethernet fixed that issue for me? who knows.
This is pretty much the perfect HUB solution for me so far with the official one currently nowhere in sight, my only 1 gripe is that a few comments above stated that the same brand protector/case works in the stand/hub, which it does, however the metal back adds just enough bulk that the device stands up a bit too upright rather than seated back as usual. Remove the official case and the Steam Deck sits in at the expected angle.
This small gripe with the viewing angle is only an issue if your trying to use the Steam Deck IN the hub, if you have HDMI plugged in and you are using a bluetooth controller then its no big deal.
