It’s great, shows how sensitive it is to pollutants, had cigarette turned red, 10mins later no smoke went blue, amazing machine, flat smells much fresher now, easy to use, stylish, quiet, recommended
Consider placement carefully. When on auto, it has a huge and bright blue halo led. Very distracting.
Night mode basically all but stops the purifier. Prefer it retain auto or manual fan setting but just turned LED’s off.
Does a decent job though. Just a few wrinkles.
I live in a one bedroom cottage with a cat. Have had this in the living room on auto since I bought it. It’s great, when I burn something in the kitchen it quickly magics away the smell or when I spritz perfume in my bedroom it whirls into action for a short burst so it really cleans the air but 4 MONTHS AND ITS DOWN TO 7% LEFT ON THE FILTER!! I have dusted it and I don’t smoke or have a particularly dusty house so a new filter at 49.99 after only 4 MONTHS IS RIDICULOUS I give it 4 stars begrudgingly as it truly cleans the air but factor in the cost of the filters if you leave it on auto all the time!!!!
Super happy with this thing so far. It has pretty much gotten rid of any smell. My apartment was getting dusty and my neighbour’s smoke was infiltrating all my rooms. It purifies really well to clean the air quickly. I’m allergic to cats but this has really helped with the pet hair too. It was easy to set up. The sleep mode is super quiet. This was a great value for my money
The Bosch Air 2000 is an excellent choice for anyone looking to improve the air quality in their home. With its advanced HEPA13 air filter, the purifier is capable of removing up to 99.9% of all pollutants, including dust, allergens, and other harmful particles.
One of the standout features of the Bosch Air 2000 is its smart sensor, which constantly monitors the air quality in the room and adjusts the purifier’s settings accordingly. This ensures that the purifier is always working at maximum efficiency, regardless of the conditions in the room.
The purifier also features an auto mode and sleep mode, which makes it easy to use and ensures that it is not a distraction while you sleep. Additionally, the purifier operates at just 25 dB (A), making it one of the quietest air purifiers on the market.
The Bosch Air 2000 is capable of filtering up to 180m/h and can effectively purify rooms up to 37.5m in size, making it a great choice for bedrooms, living rooms, and other common areas. The air quality feedback feature is also helpful, as it provides real-time information about the air quality in the room.
I have owned the product for four months prior to writing this review
The air filter is easy to use and i set the thing up out the box in less than 10 minutes.
The filter comes with a laminated card with the instructions on it, i recommend keeping this near the filter so you know what to press when you first get it.
The night mode makes the filter near silent and disables all lights so you can run it when your sleeping, i have done this for the last four months and i am a very light sleeper. The filter hasn’t been audible to me at all
My concern when buying this was that the filter would need replacing often making it an expensive option. I had to clean my filter today (due to a caution on the screen) for the first time in four months of use
Wearing a mask i took the filter into my back garden and used an air duster to clean it, the whole process took less than 5 minutes and the result was that the filter looked brand new.
In environments where there is humidity or dirt i can see the filter being soiled and needing replacing more often, for that sort of environment i would recommend getting a more commercial product however for my use (a bedroom in a old building) it works perfectly and the filter is pristine after being air dusted.
In summary the product is ideal for residential use and i would recommend it, dont forget to get a air duster to clean the filter with
Model: Air 2000
moved house a few months back and gone into a much older property, which needs some renovation, and it’s a bit like dust central. The whole place could do with being dusted and having a vac twice a week. Coupled with the fact my daughter has asthma, I needed to get hold of something to clean up the air.
This air purifier from Bosch is relatively big in the schemer of things and needs to be to house to largish filter it comes with. The filter goes into the bottom via a twist off base and it is very simple to put in and remove.
All the touch controls are mounted on a central disc on the top. You have Automatic Mode, Quiet Mode/Lighting On/Off, Manual Mode, Filter Status/Reset/Cleaning Reset, ON-Off/Child Lock and Timer. The display is nice and clear and easy to read.
You get a clever light up ruing that goes around the top, which shows the air quality: Blue/Good, Purple/OK, Orange/Poor and Red/Bad. Which I think is handy, as you don’t want to have it on when you don’t need to. It works on as parts-per-million basis, with less than 2.5 being the best.
There’s a little bit of routine maintenance: cleaning the filter with the vac, draining any water build up.
As to the noise level. On its lowest level it was around 30dB, which is classed as a whisper and on max, it was 50dB. That was classed as a quiet office. So, not horrendously noisy. It will also depend on what it is standing on.
It way too early for me to comment on frequency of cleaning the filter and when it requires replacing, that will depend partly on the how much it is taking in. I’m sure once the builders get in, it’s going to be on overload.
The genuine Bosch replacement filters are around 50 each, but I would imagine there are 3rd party ones available for less.
This is an expensive outlay and more so if you are going to buy the genuine filters, but if it really does help with my daughters asthma then it is worth it.
I am not able to comment on the medium to long-term reliability of it.
I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful. Thanks for reading.
Ordered this item as part of my vine account, having previously considered but never purchased an air purifier before I was curious to see just what this is all about and the difference that it may make.
Firstly item arrived and I was surprised at the size of the item, considering I got the 2000 version which is the smaller of them. Item was simple and straight forward to set up and connect and followed the instruction manual to know what each of the touch screen options were as well as the display. The item itself has a led light ring around the top, which you are able to turn off if you’d prefer not to have the light indicators.
The item is really quiet, when the item is on a low setting because the air quality is fine, you hardly even hear it! The only time it’s a little more noticeable is if it detects something in the air, which if you see my video, I have used my vape , and this has detected it, and it goes higher to clean the air quicker. Now I used my vape only for the purpose of showing you how it detects in the air, but even things like my freshmatic spray going off, it recognises that in the air quality, or like recently I was baking in the kitchen because of using the mixer and the flour being in the air it kicked in quite high to clean the air.
Personally I wanted this item as I suffer really bad with hay fever and I’m hoping that when the season starts I should notice a difference due to its HEPA filter and my hay fever won’t be as bad.
I think for the 170 price tag I would recommend this item and I think it’s good addition to any home, especially if you have allergy’s such as hay fever.
I don’t know why but the Bosch Air 2000 is bigger than I thought it would be but it’s not huge, at nearly 40cm high it has quite a neat minimalistic design with an easy to use touch screen LCD control pad on the top.
The Air 2000 according to the information cleans up to 37.5 m2, the activated carbon filter and the HEPA 13 filter can remove 99.9% of pollutants from the air, these include pollen, viruses, dust, allergens, pet hair and dander and also odours from pets..
You are shown the quality of the air in your room by a coloured ring around the top of the unit with blue being the optimum good air quality, purple being ok, orange being poor and red being bad. There is noise comes from the machine but it is hardly noticeable at all on the quiet/ low or sleep setting meaning if you are using it in a bedroom at night it will not disturb your sleep, also on the sleep setting the light ring turns off so that it can’t disturb your sleep either.
The status of the filter is shown constantly on the top left hand side of the digital display and when the filter counter reaches 0% the maintenance counter will notify you that you need to replace the filter.
Filters are on the expensive side at 49.99 (at time of review) so hopefully they last well.
I’m hoping that this air purifier will help with my hay-fever this year, I’m also wondering if my runny nose at other times of year is caused by cat dander and it will be interesting to see if my runny nose improves.
I took the the Air 2000 into the kitchen when hubby was grilling a steak and the light turned orange but rather than the lingering smell of the steak (especially where the fat spits up to on the grill it often sets smoke alarm off in he hall ) when I returned to the kitchen later there was a faint smell but nothing like it normally smells and the smoke alarm had not gone off and the light had returned to blue so the Air 2000 was doing it’s job.
The Bosch Air 2000 is not cheap and time will tell if it helps my hay fever in spring/summer and my runny nose at this time of year but if it does in my eyes it will be worth every penny.
Currently priced at 169.99 with a 20 off voucher at time of review

Summary
I have a number of Bosch products and was intrigued to see if this one lived up to the name – it did! This is a great help for my allergies to household dust and pollen.
Physicals
At under 40cm tall, this is great for those people that do not like air purifiers dominating the room (me) and it sits easily on my chest of drawers in the bedroom. The design is simple and there is no set up needed – with the exception of plugging in the power supply and removing the filter from the plastic bag in which it is supplied.
Controls
All of the buttons are on top of the device and all are touch-control too. On switching on the purifier, the fan starts up and the device starts to measure the air quality running through it. In my room it took 36 seconds to display the quality and then it started the fan to improve the quality.
Air quality measurement
I noted that the measurement is via a sensor within the rear of the unit and needs to be cleaned periodically to ensure accuracy. Simple instructions are provided how to do this and with energy costs as they are, I have set myself a reminder – more often in the spring / summer months due to the amount of pollen in the air.
Silent mode
I used this device overnight to see if it disturbs my sleep… It didn’t. I am hard pressed to hear the fan in sleep mode but holding my hand near the device I felt the air flow, albeit low speed.
Value for money
I like Bosch, but their products do tend to be at premium price point. At 170, I think this is high, but not excessive.
This is great! It’s so easy to use and the instructions are really simple and clear. It’s a nice size. It not too big and perfect, it’s perfect for what I wanted. Really impressed with it and not a bad price either.
This was a lot bigger out of the box than I expected. It is not in the slightest bit inconspicuous, and is about the size of a small bin.
It was easy to get started, and I like the colour change for air quality. It is quiet, but I found it difficult to notice any change in the air quality, although for something of this cost, you just expect that it’s doing the job it should.
I think this is great if you suffer from respiratory problems or allergies, and I will have it running in the spring/summer months to hopefully ease my partners hay-fever.
Would recommend.
If you’re looking for an air purifier but not sure of which one to go for then this would be a decent purchase.
Having used a purifier before I can attest to their benefits – we found that during summer they are absolutely fantastic at removing pollen from the air thus reducing the symptoms of hayfever.
This being from Bosch is a well made, well thought out and attractive purifier that has the ability to clean a room up to 37m2.
Setup is super simple and intuitive without the need to connect to wi-fi or an app. At a glance you can get an indication of the quality of your air by the coloured ring which sits on top of the device or if you look at the screen you can get more detailed information. The touch screen is responsive and easy to use.
I have mine set to automatic mode which means that it dynamically reacts to the environment and senses impurities in their air before swiftly removing them. It works as it should – if I start cooking or spray something into the air the ring turns red and the fan fires up drawing in the dirty air and cleaning it.
I like the addition of the night mode which turns off the lights and turns the power down to make it quiet enough to sleep.
As with all things that use a filter eventually the filter will need to be replaced – I believe that they are currently priced at around 40. At this moment in time I cant comment on how long a filter will last as I haven’t had the device long enough and this will also of course depend on the amount of use.
The model I am reviewing is the 2000 but you can also get the 4000 and 6000 which are the bigger siblings and will provide you with extra power for bigger rooms.
Price wise I think its priced correctly in the market and you know you’re getting a quality product with Bosch.
I’m a big fan of Bosch as I know I’ll be getting a quality product.
This is a great looking air purifier. Some I have seen are a bit industrial looking but this one looks great in my front room.
In the box is the air purifier unit, the electric cord, a manual in many languages plus a laminated basic guide.
The first thing which grabbed my attention was the ring of coloured light around the top of the unit. There are four different colours and this will let you know what the air quality in your room is. Blue is good quality thankfully! When it is switched on, the ring moves through the colours as it measures the air quality before settling on the appropriate colour.
There are various settings which are applied using the touch screen on the top of the unit (no remote control). I like the auto setting which measures the air quality in real time and runs the unit at the appropriate level.
It is very quiet in the low setting mode and obviously gets slightly louder in modes 2 and 3. Personally I’ll just be using it on the auto mode and let the machine decide it’s required level. There is a quiet mode should you wish to have it on overnight in the bedroom and it is very quiet in this mode.
It has a timer, and a monitor on the top panel to advise when filter replacement is necessary.
The laminated card enclosed indicates it has wifi but I can’t see any mention of it in the manual on how to set that up.
The recommended maximum room size for this unit is 37.5m2 which is just about right for my front room.
I love this unit!! I never realised how much dust was in the air until I got this…
I have a large household with 2 allergy sufferers so thought this would be a good way of helping to reduce their reactions without involving medication.
I as surprised by the size of this unit – it was bigger than I expected but it does make you feel you’re getting more for your money with it being so large, it feels a bit more professional than the cheaper versions.
After removing the plastic from inside (the only ‘set’up’) I plugged it in to see what would happen.
It was on Auto and instantly the light band went to red – I thought I’d done something wrong or there was industrial amounts of dust in my house so after a panicked read of the user guide, I realised this is normal at the start. It was quite fun watching the numbers go down as it cleared the air and the colour band changing until it got to blue with the PPM reducing.
You could hear the fan but it wasn’t particularly noisy – if you were watching tv you wouldn’t have to turn the volume up, it was more a gentle hum.
I expected this to be one of those things that had an ‘invisible’ use – clearing the air isn’t something you can feel but after a couple of hours of this being switched on, I swear the house feels fresher – like having had a window open for a while.
Another benefit I never gave a thought to – toilet smells… I have a large household and these things are unavoidable, but this clears them so quickly, it was fabulous. You can hear the fan going up to max level after a ‘bathroom visit’ and within a few minutes it’s cleared. Worth it’s weight in gold for that alone!
I showed the video of the night time setting to show how quiet the fan is – I have a daughter with misophonia (certain noises can’t be tolerated on any level) and she is not bothered by this at all and can hardly hear a thing even in the silence.
I’m hoping the filter lasts awhile because they are expensive to replace, but saying that, it’s a small price to pay for the level of clean air you get with this. I think this will even more useful when we get to hayfever season too.
The best feature about this filter is that it assesses and reports air quality. As a diagnostic tool, it’s great for figuring out whether and where you need to be filtering. It gets a bit loud when working hard but moves so much air that it usually drops down to a quiet rate quickly. It’s simple and intuitive to use, and I use it every day. I wish I had bought one years ago.
It does what it’s supposed to do i.e. clean air, it’s incredibly quiet – compared to other brands e.g. Philips 5000 series and most importantly it is NOT “connected”. A true breath of fresh air (pun intended) in the world where even toilet paper wants to collect your personal information and send it offshore.
Good product . It is definitely helping with bad smell at home. I just imagine bit smaller machine but probably just didn’t check size for my self. It’s actually quite and do not disturb at nigh
Made by a very reputable brand with more than enough experience in the industry. This is a monster of a purifier and will suit a very large room. Check the dimensions as it might be bigger than you expect. The quality is very good but it does feel quite light for such a machine. It’s faultless as far as functions go and does a fantastic job of keeping the room fresh.
We live in the country side in an older house, with a dog, lots of dust and in the summer pollen too. This has made a huge difference in the cleanliness of our air. It even smells clearer. We move it about each day from room to room to filter the whole house. This is the only purifier we have used that we’ve actually noticed a difference. Would highly recommend!
As a family with three cats, air purifers are must-haves in our house. We have had one in each bedroom but we do need one with high-power for our large sitting room.
Bosch Air 6000 has been working effectivly so far. It is big and does take up some room. It works a couple of hours a day after dinner because the family gather together there to watch TV and enjoy a couple of drinks. The cats will snuggle in the sofa with us. We set it to work at the Automatic setting and it is so quiet that we can hardly notice the sound. The air in the sitting room feels fresh and clean.
My daughter was tested positive for Covid a coupld of weeks ago. She self isolated herself in the sitting room for 3 days and Bosch Air 6000 had been working nonstop during those 3 days. Psychologically, we trust the liability of this brand and the machine assured us of effectively removing pollutants, virus, allergens etc.
Absolute perfection
Works magic
It is large device, so it needs a bit of room
Works quietly and almost white noise humming sound, pleasant to the ear
Strong suction will clear even biggest room
Absolutely easy to use and operate
Perfect quality in every aspect
Clear air within minutes of work.
Brilliant air purifier. I have 2 girls with asthma. The youngest being the worst and always sick. This is perfect especially at this time of year. It works really well and helping to purify the air. The kids have been coughing less. It’s bigger than I thought it would be. We had one previously that was small and able to fit on top of the kids unit in their bedroom. This one has to sit on the floor and can be a bit challenging storage wise. But still a brilliant product.
I’m really impressed with this air purifier! It’s incredibly well made and has everything you can possibly need. I love the futuristic design and its round shape. It’s easy to use as it has a touch screen at the front where I’m able to control the machine. We usually leave it on auto mode but it can also be put on sleep mode (a quieter option). It has a sensor, and it has lights around the rim of the air purifier that indicates the cleanliness of the air. It also has a really strong fan, a child lock, a timer and a filter status.
Compared to my previous air purifier, this is a lot bigger, better, and stronger quality. My only problem is that it’s incredibly hard to find a filter replacement! However, based on the filter status we have only used 3 percent in one month which means that we have approximately 3 years before we need to source another filter – a problem for future me.
Would absolutely recommend if, like our family, you need this for health reasons and are willing to make the investment.
Many air purifiers are small, and work only in a small area. This one is capable of purifying the air in a large room. Because of that, it is a large item, and you will need an area of approx. minimum 50cm square for the item and for clearance around it.
You can tell it’s a quality brand – it is well made and solid. It’s easy to use – the smart sensor function means that it tests the air and switches on when air quality drops – for example if you have windows open and allergens get in, or windows and doors shut with people in the room, which also causes a drop in air quality.
The display panel is on the top of the unit and clear. You can choose between manual or auto operation. When in use it is quiet, and we tested in overnight in the bedroom. There is a low hum which won’t keep you awake, in fact we found it quite relaxing!
This isn’t a cheap item – but quality never is. I would expect this item to last many years (although you will need to buy new filters occasionally), and compared with other brands, it is a comparative price.
Definitely worth the time as it has some impressive features and benefits for daily issues around the home. It arrived packaged safely and setup was an absolute breeze. Performance wise this runs smoothly and quietly in the backround and i was pretty surprised what it collected on just the first day alone. Have noticed a massive improvement of my hayfever symptoms which last all year round and have seen a reduction here.
Smart sensor works like a charm and does its magic when it notices issues. It is abit clunky for smaller apartments but its still very stylish and noticeable by visitors. Also stands well and is safe/straight forward to maintain.
Easy to use with the convenient panel
Definitely a worthwhile device if you have pets and alot of dust and we are very pleased with it.
Pros:
– Looks sleek
– Easy to use
– Timer function
– Purifies the air quickly
– Quiet Operation & Variable fan speeds
– Colour coded air quality identifier
– Night mode turns off all lights
– Temperature display
Cons:
– Replacement filters are expensive (Currently 84.99)
– Heavy
– No wheels/castors for easier portability
– No carry handles
– Expensive (Currently priced at 449.99)
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this for someone with a larger budget, the performance is great.
Air purifiers have helped me massively with my dust allergies, this air purifier is great. I can certainly notice the difference is air quality when this has been running.
Performance- wise this is impressive as it quickly reaches the desired room air quality level.
But one thing that is lacking is that it is large and heavy and its cumbersome to move around since there are no castors nor carry handle.
Wonderful air purifier, it works well and you can really tell the air difference when it’s being used the air feels smoother to breath and when on sleep mode it’s very quiet.
Overall good quality and would rate highly.
First impression:
The air purifier is about the size of a bin and comes to just below knee height at 50cm or 19 “. The body is white plastic with ventilation holes around the bottom, and the top is black with vents and is angled forwards. Controls are in the top at the middle and are touch sensitive. The design is pleasing to look at.
The power supply is relatively compact for its power output and provides 24V at 1.5A. This plugs in the rear via a small plug. I measured the power consumption during auto operation when the fan was running in clean air and this measured at 5.1W, or 5.5W when the fan picked up speed somewhat and below 0.05A. That is less that a 60W equivalent LED light bulb. During night mode when the fan is a lot quieter, this was only 2.2W. The maximum is 22W with the fan running at full speed.
Packaging:
The purifier comes well packed inside its box with moulded pulp card supports top and bottom to hold it in place that are recyclable. It is wrapped in plastic and the unit should arrive in tip top condition.
Installation:
The purifier is so easy to get going. Just remove the plastic from the filter inside, plug it in and switch on. Press the filter calibration button and you are off. Removal of the filter is easily achieved by unscrewing the bottom door to expose the filter. After reinstalling the filter, it must be reset by pressing the reset button (lower left) on the top surface. This is shown on the very clear product overview instructions, that are right at the top when you open the box.
What I liked:
As the unit runs, the air quality is displayed as a number on the top, there is also a ring light that is blue for clean air, and red when the air is particularly nasty. When you first start up the unit it goes through a test cycle where is gauges what the purity is and adjusts the fan and the colours accordingly. Once it settled down it showed that my air was blue. Strangely that gave me a sense of relief for some reason. I have even run the vacuum around an hour before.
HEPA air filter will remove very fine particles from the air. The particulate size is 0.3 m, which is very small indeed, but capture efficiency increases for particles larger and smaller than this; the smallest particles cannot keep up with the airflow through the filter fibres and collide with these fibres, whereas larger particles just get blocked. So, efficiency is always stated as how good the filter is for filtering the worst size particles that could get through, and in practical terms, can exceed that. The product marketing of 99.99% particle capture exceeds the online definition of a HEPA H13 filter at 99.95. This is because there is a pre-filter and active carbon element. The pre-filter will remove things like pollen and larger particles, and the carbon filter will absorb pet odours, other gasses and cigarette smoke. HEPA filters also trap particles by diffusion into the filter surface and by electrostatic attraction where the particle charge has a charge gradient between the particle and the filter matrix. All this means that the filter will trap dust and skin, pollen, moisture, certain bacteria and viruses (but not all), mould spores and excess moisture. If you have a particularly odious dog in the family, then this might just be the unit for you.
The filter might be very important if you have allergies or own pets. Running the air purifier will reduce the number of fine particles such as dead skin in the air anyway and you might find that there is less dusting to do with the unit running. The specification is that is will consume 300m/h over a room footprint of 62.5 m. Placement of the unit might influence efficiency, as will placement of the furniture and if you have any doors open.
Quiet operation. I measured the sound volume at 6” from the top of the unit and it was 34dB, which the meter characterised as a whisper or quiet room. You can hear is but it is not obtrusive. I can sometimes hear the fan changing tempo so perhaps it alters speed as needed. I can confirm that on putting the unit into sleep mode, the sound volume went to around 25dB and that was with some audible rain falling outside.
All of the controls are easy to operate. For example, the fan speed can either be left on auto, or by multiple taps of the fan button, can be changed to one of the 3 speeds. The timer can be changed by multiple presses for up to 12 hours. You could for example increase the fan temporarily if you have had a bit of a spring clean in the room and have been dusting. Another example would be when you have the windows open for some ventilation during times when there might be grass or tree pollen in the air and you want to clean it out. Even when you have just done the vacuuming.
Anything I didn’t like so much:
I think that the power plug is too small and vulnerable. The stem of the plug is only 3.5mm and although it is at the rear and low down, it is exactly at foot height and one accidental kick will see the unit with no power. At least the plug is at the back, but if you placed the unit in a corner then it will be less efficient.
Conclusion:
The air-purifier is low maintenance. It has a maintenance alarm but the sensor port for measuring the air quality is at the rear and needs to be carefully cleaned as per the instructions every 2 months. There is a handy notice label on the unit just next to the sensor door. I cannot yet find replacement filters online, but these will probably become available once the product gets some mileage under it. Bosch are a well trusted brand and I have bought many power tools and other products such as my oven with the name being a factor. They make air filters form everything from vacuum cleaners to cars and so seem to know what they are doing. If there are people in the household that suffer from respiratory health conditions such as asthma, then an air-purifier might be important to have, but your medical professional can advise you on that. The biggest thing for me was the quality of the air filter and the low power consumption. For better air at less than the cost of running an LED light bulb, this is well recommended.
Thanks for taking the time to read my review, I hope you found it helpful with some good information to allow you to make your choice.
Bosch Air 6000, Air Purifier Removes 99.9% of all Pollutants through HEPA13 Air Filter, with Smart Sensor, Auto Mode & Sleep Mode (25 dB (A)), Air and Humidity Sensor, CADR 600m/h, up to 125m.
This Bosch Purifier arrived well packaged in its own branded box and then packed in another amazon brown box.
This is so much better than I expected, I’m actually very impressed but at the high price it’s selling for you need to be impressed!
I got this out the box and into action straightaway, I was worried it was going to be too complicated to use but once I flicked the manual I found it very easy to use…… This has been on all the time since it arrived and I’ve noticed less dust on the furniture and less dog hair’s that float about in the air and land on everything, we have 2 short haired black rescue dog but oh the hair, it gets everywhere, this Bosch Purifier is definitely doing its job for sure.
I can tell its purifying the air I breath cause at night I take it into our bedroom and put it on the quiet mode and I sleep so much better, there’s such an improvement on my sleep quality as it shows just that on my smart watch, before my deep sleep was always low but now it’s showing as normal!
This is exactly as the description describes, it’s working perfectly so far with no issues.
It covers a large area upto 125 Square meters.
I am concerned tho on where to buy a compatible filter from as I’ve looked on amazon and can’t find any.
I hope they are not too expensive, a compatible one would be cheaper I’m sure, just a case of finding where to buy from.
I can highly reccomend this, it does a great job and is of a great quality just as you would expect from a well known brand like Bosch.
Expensive but an excellent product!
This is like a laundry basket or bin, with lids – with colourful ring and modernise touch buttons.
It works like a upside down vacuum, constantly sucking and giving up fresher filtered air- with LED ring indicating the current air quality.
This particular obvious when living close to the motorway, the vacuum machine seems to be less full, but in return, the Air 4000 is working hard.
Similarly, the open plan kitchen / living area, this helps keeping the odour away, to a certain degree.
This is a great size for a small area- with the 3 layer of filters, working tirelessly and quietly.
There is also different mode for environment and time of the day, also a timer.
It is quite pricey at under 250, and not easy to find the refill, struggling even to find another seller on the web.
This is an impressively quiet air purifier after having several air purifiers which have been too noisy to live with. The air purifier is powered by a 24V adapter with 1.8m of cable. Set up is easy, it comes with a single circular filter which is fitted by tipping the air purifier upside down, removing the bottom cover with a quarter turn, inserting the filter after unwrapping it, and then replacing the cover and turning it upright. There is a manual but the operation is fairly intuitive, the default is auto with the touch control display lit and the ring around the top glowing different colours to show the pollution level. The ring displays Blue=GOOD, Violet=OK, Orange=POOR and Red=BAD. As well as Auto the touch display has Manual operation of the fan speed, a night mode and some on timers. I have been using it for the last few weeks on night mode which turns off the pollution display ring and the display, apart from a discreet crescent moon symbol, and sets the motor to “silent”, which it pretty well is. I have switched it to auto mode occasionally to check but it has been doing a good job filtering the air in our lounge. This is an air purifier that you could use in a bedroom, it’s that quiet. The manual isn’t quite clear on filter replacement, in one section it says to vacuum the filter and reset the light and in another to replace the filter. I couldn’t find a replacement filter listed but we do have a similar sized Philips air purifier and replacement filters there are 60 to 80. As you would expect from Bosch this is a very well made unit and it performs faultlessly.

10/10 star for me
This Bosch Air 6000 is everything you could expect to get from Bosch Thermotechnik guys (well at least within this product range and the money can buy assumption ) ,anyway regardless of the fact I was a great follower of Bosch Thermotechnik products for years, literally back and back way before their restructuring and product development changes , my opinion is totally unbiased in relation to this review and the same Bosch company in the picture itself.
Like I was saying this Air6000 purifying machine is one great performer and it does provide the required relief to anyone surviving with existing lungs diesease or just preventing due to environmental requirements,or other factors .Still ,this IS great ,big ,bulky fan with an air filter and LCD manual touch controlled & it does everything it says on the box ,simply saying is cleaning the air up to the specification just to make your life less miserable .Thanks Bosch .Anyway ,I won’t be going here long or milking about the fancy visual light effects and all the features you can find included in the instruction manual traveling with the box within,on amazon listing product description or Bosch Thermotechnik partners web sites so I will only focus and crunch the solid data and specs for the money worth it or not .So here it’s :1.This is large size unit with heck of efficient and powerfull 50Watt electric motor with great wind per hour output. In comparison to my husband’s other air purifiers I use this Bosch is fairly quiet and I appreciate the soft start mode and Bosch taking seriously thinking about energy efficiency.Going further I recognize this model minimalistic featured unit but easy to operate and very intuitive as true jerry would appreciate.2.This air 6000 model from Bosch is able to deliver TRUE 125m2 space coverage by manufacturer promise (by anemometer test done all the math too so all the boxes are ticked up to the nearest +-5% tolerance , obviously).3.There is No nasty fan operating smells like some other competitors equipment is doing ,anyone in the biz should know the ropes and the meaning of that .4.Materials and finishing is fine moulding work and design close to perfect smooth and decent quality manufacturing .Overall this is quite successful design and me being honest here I would consider recommending this Bosch to anyone interested in purchasing smooth performing and powerful air cleaning machine this could be the one .I personally like it and I am more than happy to award this product with strong 7 out of 10 points .Why only 7 anyone could ask ?! ,ok ,let me explain.First.There is no castor wheels ,no handle and no even a stick included for easy transport.Second.Honestly,I guess ,no ,I am more than convinced that including 1 worth of an IR module and remote controlled feature in existing design during MFG process would benefit Bosch guys more than their competitors for the product range classification reasons we can observe here regarding this model price factors in place and make the end customer returning more often due to wow effect .Third thing is that :I bet anyone will agree with me here on this one that getting a washable and reusable filter included in this deal (or if not than at least voucher for another free filter) ( good marketing practice ) and that within the 200-500 price tag range included is nothing unusual and quite a normal practice to observe rights. Anyway, regardless of any comparison results, personal or interpersonal expectations, correct or incorrect calculations and accepting this model as it is in the current form of state I say this is a great buy with opportunities to develop further.Happy breathing and sufficient filtering all.Thanks.
This is a top quality air Purifier, I love that it notifies you of the air quality at a glance , with the led ring light at the top of the unit , it’s a really cool feature, it let’s you know the current air quality by colour coded light , so you know instantly whether the air in the room is bad , OK or good, it’s a superb design.
The air Purifier Is quite large , over half a meter tall and quite wide , it’s a lot bulkier than our last air Purifier but this is much better in terms of performance and settings , but this may use more energy and cost more to run in terms of energy consumption and the cost of replacement filters, so may not be for everyone in that sense, and it certainly isn’t cheap at 450.
It’s very easy to use though , the controls are well marked and well placed , they are really straightforward to operate , I like that it has an auto mode that can adjust to the air quality of the room to keep on top of harmful dust, animal hair and other substances , it’s nice to know a unit of this power and size is constantly improving air quality.
My eldest son is irritated by animals and suffers with asthma so we always have a humidifier in his bedroom , this is replacing our older unit. It gives peace of mind and improves the air quality in his bedroom and beyond.
I like that it has a good quality sleep mode too if you want it running overnight, it runs quieter and still.
Although it’s a large size it’s still easily moved if needed , it’s not too heavy for it’s size.
I think this would suit family homes , office spaces , as it can purify a large area of pollen, allergy dust particles, odours, pet hair and other harmful particles.
It’s expensive, but there is no doubting the performance qualities and I absolutely love the led colour coded notification whether the air is Good, OK, poor or bad you can see that at a glance and I find that a cool feature.
It’s a great addition to the family home , especially that we have allergy sufferers too.
I’m generous with trying new things. Thank goodness I gave it a shot! You could feel and breathe the difference in the air after a few hours of running it. I live in a very tiny apartment with a cat and lots of upholstery and surfaces that hold dust/dander. Guests were having problems with allergies when they visited (I do vacuum a lot to try and mitigate symptoms). I have noticed an extreme difference in air quality even after about 2 months now. I leave it running almost constantly and move it around to different rooms where I’m cleaning sometimes. You can clearly see what it’s catching in the filter, even small fruit flies (ya, gross lol). The sleep mode is audible, but like a gentle white noise. I leave a desk fan running all night long that is louder than this anyways so it doesn’t bother me. Best purchase I’ve made in a long time! If you’re able to, give it a short yourself!
My flat is filled with a lot of glossy black furniture which tends to show dust quite easily. Got this up & running after a good clean and noticed a definite reduction in visible dust. It’s really intuitive to use & Bosch has definitely made me aware of their products I might not have otherwise know about!
It’s not a small air purifier and is more of a statement piece but the design does it justice so it looks good whilst maintaining an important function. The air flow is great & would easily do most sized rooms with no issues.
My main hesitation was noise & really happy to say this isn’t noisy at all. Ofcourse there is some sound but nothing to the extent I was expecting & definitely Bosch engineering has shown itself superior to cheaper rivals!
I have heard about this HEPA air filters for some time and a friend that has seasonal pollen and severe dust allergy has recommended similar devices for some time. I am still a bit unsure on the real benefit but I am confident in the brand and feel that if I want to give it a chance this is for sure one of the best and most reliable.
The price is a bit higher than some but during the night it is really quiet and screen and LED are turned off. The build quality looks indeed very good and the Bosh name does reassure me of spare and replacement parts and filters whenever needed.
I got this just after the hay fever season so will have to wait until next year to see if it helps with those symptoms. But just in terms of general use I have been impressed so far. It is fairly easy to set up then it just works away very quietly without you really noticing it. It does make the air quality seem a lot better. I’m not sure how long the filter will last before it needs replacing or how much it will cost. But do far I am quite impressed with it. And I do trust the Bosch brand a lot so I’m happy to see how it performs over the next while.
What a fantastic little machine this is as it constantly monitors the Air quality in whatever room you place it so i decided to test it out in the bedroom for starters to see how it performed and with very pleasing results,
The Purifier has a sensor which measures the Air pollutants in the surrounding Air and is extremely sensitive to even the smallest change and this is signified by a light ring which changes colour depending on the Air quality and any Airborne particles no matter how small that are around ranging from Pollen to even Pets and just about everything you can think of even cooking,
The light ring on the unit is a great indicator and looks really stylish and goes from Red to Orange to Purple and To Blue which indicates top quality but if it’s Red your Air isn’t too good but thankfully I was at Purple which is satisfactory, The controls are all finger touch and so easy to operate through the different modes of choice on the Digital control pad on top of the unit and tells you everything including the usage of the internal filter and how much usage it has left before replacement but you get a long time before that needs doing depending on use,
I must admit i find the Air quality after using this unit feels much better than it was before and that was just in a short time i am very impressed so far,
You get a detailed manual with the unit explaining everything for maintenence and is very easy to understand and the maintaining of the unit is very straight forward and simple,
Brilliant machine small and compact about the size of a medium pedal bin i would say and looks fantastic in any room and if using in the bedroom it has a night mode and shuts off all lighting on the unit and very quiet and fresh clean air while you relax,
Highly recommended a big 5 stars from me.
I got this at the end of pollen season so ultimately I won’t know how good it is till next year. We don’t smoke or have pets which it is also useful for as well as removing bacteria.
To set this up you need to remove the bottom and take the filter out of the plastic bag then reassemble which is easy and takes 2 minutes. The machine is quite light so no strength is needed for this.
The controls are simple. It has an on/off switch which can be locked with a long press, an auto button, a quiet mode button, a manual mode button, a filter check/reset button and a timer button.
Auto mode adjusts the fan speed depending on air quality.
Quiet mode turns the fan to very low and also turns the lights off so this is bed time mode. In this mode there is almost no noise but the fan is so quiet that it can’t be doing much.
In manual mode you can cycle through the three fan speeds and it stays where you put it.
The filter button checks the status of the filter so you know if it needs cleaning and a long press resets this after cleaning.
The timer button allows you to have a 1 to 12 hour operation time.
The filter is very quiet in all modes except fan speed 3 in which it is a little noisy. I’ve only used this when cooking as it is too loud to have on in the background normally.
The filter has a pre filter, a carbon filter and a hepa13 filter. So it can remove large and small particles as well as odours.
The filter can be cleaned by vacuuming it but will need to be replaced when the carbon needs replacing if this is important to you, it’s not clear how long it will last.
It recommends you clean the air quality sensor every 2 months but it’s very easy as it’s accessed by a small flap.
A light shows how clean the air is, slightly irritatingly it is blue when the air is clean rather than green but maybe that’s just me.
I’m not sure how available the filters are or the price but as this is a new machine they are likely to be available for a while.
I couldn’t find any information on power consumption but other similar machines use around 30w and I imagine this is when on the highest fan setting but I can’t check this.
The case is fairly small, about the size of 2 ten litre buckets on top of each other and is discreet and nice looking.
Overall this is a good filter, it will be put to the test when the pollen is high again but there are no real negatives apart from maybe the price. I know this is Bosch but it’s around twice the price of other brands filters so it would be worth researching other machines before buying.
This air purifier stands 20″ (51cm), and is a foot (30cm) in diameter. It arrives with a brand new filter and a power lead that measures aprx 71″ (1.8 metres). There is also a manual.
The base of the purifier unscrews and the filters inside, i just took it out of the plastic bag and then reinserted it back in, screwed the base on (which is just one quarter turn-great for my weak wrists), and it was good to go.
Already owning another branded purifier (same price range), i kind of discarded the instructions at this point, its all pretty straight forward, and once it was plugged in the display is very clear (although for some reason my phone camera just would not take a clear close-up!). Hopefully clear enough to give an idea.
The display consists of AUTO, QUIET MODE, MANUAL MODE, ON/OFF and a TIMER controls, all touch screen and all very responsive. There is also a FILTER/RESET button, which i pressed before i did anything else (I would advise reading the manual properly for first time users-i really should have lol.
I have to say to begin with i was fairly unimpressed, maybe because its Bosch, a brand i love, i was expecting all bells, and whistles, so when it quietly hummed in the corner (i could hardly hear it to begin with), i did wonder if it was really doing anything. My other purifier is good, but its so loud!, so i expected similar i suppose, as a sign it was really doing something. The Bosch is much quieter but does seem to be pulling its weight.
After pressing the RESET button i set it to automatic and just let it do its thing.
I live on a main road and the dust, soot and eexhaust fumes are awful!, its got me so down i pretty much gave up with dusting or polishing.. and i felt i could not only see it on furniture all the time, the atmosphere was very heavy too.
My first purifier did do lot to make the air feel clearer and i have had the Bosche less than a week, but i definitely feel a difference.
I wont say its amazing (quite yet), but baring in mind it will probably take maybe a couple of weeks (likely much less, but to give it a fair chance), and a bit of cleaning (which my health is really not up to right now), before i will see or feel a real difference, but its got me feeling confident enough and if so i will update my review to 5 stars.
I definitely dont feel as sluggish as usual, and i have had it on constant since it arrived. The SLEEP mode is great, all the lights go off and its silent so no issues with not being able to sleep through it.
It isn’t very loud in the other modes anyway. The MANUAL mode is great if you want to give it a boost, just press it once, twice or thrice to activate 3 extra speeds, the third being the strongest and loudest.
My living room is not large, measures aprx 11 foot by 12 foot, and for the size of this purifier and its performance so far, in my opinion could probably cope with a larger room but this is just my opinion, and i would always advise to look at the manufacturers recommendation.
I did do a couple of tests to see if it would autmatically boost itself if the air was polluted in some way, i chose using my spray deodorant (as i normally would, couple of squirts in the morning), at a seprate time i also had a cigarette (i know, foul habit, giving up asap and dont smoke inside usually), but it was a good test, and boy did the Bosch react!, almost more so with the spray deodorant than the cigarette which was a shock!, maybe i need to change my deodorant brand lol.
After about 20-30 seconds the purifier went from mildly humming (it doesn’t really hum, its more of a light air sound), to whooshing air on a higher speed, and it showed in the ring colour, and also in the numbers on the display.
There are 4 colours that can be displayed, Blue, purple, orange and red. After it had been in use for about 10 minutes it went to blue (good air), once i sprayed the deodorant , or smoked a cigarette, it shot up in numbers (as you can see in the pics i provided) and turned from blue to orange to red, which signifies ‘bad air’. In some of the pics it looks like the ring is orange, for some reason my phone wasnt picking up the angry red colour, but you can see it slightly round the edges in a couple of them, still not as bright as in real life, but none the less a warning loud and clear signified by the speed it changed too.
The pics show how it climbs and it did climb much higher thn the numbers seen but by the time i got my phone to record it, they had already started to fall, which again shows the speed of which it kicks into gear.
The sensor is in a small hinged compartment on the back of the purifier, its kept clean by wiping gently with a miicrofibre cloth every so often (i used a slightly damp cotton bud on my old one, but would advise following manufacturers instructions inn this regard.
As for filter prices, on the product page i didn’t see a Bosch filter but noticed under this item there is an option for a filter that looks very simialr to the one the Bosch uses (i would suggest double checking), but priced at 15.99, and judging from the layout of the page, it implies it will fit, then this is a massive bonus!. My other purifier runs expensive due to the cost of the filter being around 45, and needing changing every 3 months!.. (I aven’t used it much lately and its partly due to this), so in this respect also, the Bosch is much better value.
Overall i would recommend it. Like i say i have only had it a short time, but judging on its performance so far i would say its definitely worth the price at the time of my writing this.
These really do make a difference to the air quality in your room/home. We’ve used a similar sized one in our bedroom for some time and it has made a difference to how we feel in the morning when we wake. The air just seems fresher, my wife suffers from severe hay fever and it has alleviated her symptoms greatly through the night whilst we sleep. We’ve put this Bosch Air 4000 downstairs in our living room running 24/7, and that’s what’s great about these, put them in auto mode and they take care of the rest, if the air quality drops you’ll see the display change, when you’ve cooked for example you’ll see the Bosch Air 4000 up it’s air cleaning level. It has a lovely visible led ring around the top to visibly let you know how the air quality is as it changes colour depending on air quality. When you take the air 4000 out of the box it has some presence, and if it could talk it would say Grrrrrr! It looks like it means business yet blends into the room no problem, quietly going about it’s business. And it’s very quiet indeed you’ll not hear it at its lowest setting, occasionally raising the cleaning level to maintain the best air quality possible. It’s easy to set up, unwrap the filter, insert back into purifier then set it up how you like using the informative display and it does the rest. The instruction are clear and concise helping with set up. If you suffer from allergies be it hay fever, pet related or something else you can’t go wrong with this, they really do make a difference!
Bought this product because of the high pollen, but I feel it more like a fan, it makes the air circulate in the room, but did nothing for high polle
In summary the product is ideal for residential use and i would recommend it, dont forget to get a air duster to clean the filter with
Clears the air, tells you when the job is done by flashing blue

A lovely unit which does the job with style!
I’m a smoker who is housebound and this Air Purifier is helping to “clear the air” really well.
“Long Story Short”
Absolute perfection
Works magic
It is large device, so it needs a bit of room
Works quietly and almost white noise humming sound, pleasant to the ear
Strong suction will clear even biggest room
Absolutely easy to use and operate
Perfect quality in every aspect
Clear air within minutes of work.
Value for money way above 10 out of 10
Brilliant air purifier.
Fantastic quality product
Lovely design
Lightweight not very heavy
Very tall
Well made
Solid plastic and metal
Excellent quality air purifier
Just fantastic
Easy to use
BY BOSCH
I recommend this product
Price is a little pricey
But you sometimes get what you pay for
10/10 star for me
This Bosch Air 6000 is everything you could expect to get from Bosch Thermotechnik guys (well at least within this product range and the money can buy assumption ) ,anyway regardless of the fact I was a great follower of Bosch Thermotechnik products for years, literally back and back way before their restructuring and product development changes , my opinion is totally unbiased in relation to this review and the same Bosch company in the picture itself.
