AutoPilot 7
Automatic cooking made easy.
With AutoPilot 7 you can cook your meal to perfection. Place the dish in the microwave, set one of 7 automatic programs in the display menu. Add the weight of the dish and press “Start”. AutoPilot then takes over and determines the cooking mode, temperature and cooking duration. It even switches off the program towards the end of the cooking time. As some dishes with the AutoPilot require the use of ovenware with a lid, the interior walls also stay clean. Cooking couldn’t be simpler.

Unlike several other brands there are no annoyances. Will work immediately when turned on at the wall. Beeps loudly a few times then stops. Has a fan that runs for a short interval after use to remove condensation.
Looks great in kitchen. Sturdy build. Controls are easy to understand and use. Slightly off putting that the fan continues to operate for a short time even though the cooking Is completed. Once you get used to this it’s fine.
Nice looking microwave for the price, although I feel the white version looks cheaper in reality than in the marketing photos and like most these days it appears to be a generic Chinese design underneath the Bosch fascia. The controls are very easy to use (we don’t use any of the advanced settings) and the microwave is quiet in operation. The end of cooking cycle bleep can be shortened by following the instructions in the manual.
I would have preferred a slightly larger capacity for family use but Bosch don’t seem to have an option for this as far as I can see. The other two minor issues I’ve noticed are that the interior light isn’t really bright enough for illumination through the door and the plastic wheeled part under the turntable doesn’t stay in position properly, leading to clunking noises during cooking.
If you don’t realise your food is ready, it could be because you are profoundly deaf or drive 10 miles away once pressing start. On the bright side, the loud noise has stopped teenagers hanging around smoking outside my house. Otherwise the machine works great with intuitive controls.
What can I say! It cooks fast at 800w (faster than our v.old one) so check half way and all that. So blooming easy to set up and set time and cook.
For the reviews that say the finished beep is ‘neverending’ and ‘annoying’. It beeps 3 quick short tones when finished 3 times, before falling silent. No different to any microwave ever!
Looks is cooks well and fast and is simply lovely. Nothing complicated at all. Has loads of programs that are stupidly easy for anyone to figure out in 2 mins. Plug in and play.
Study… Not plasticky… Turn knobby thing is smooth and a dream to spin.
Enjoy ya heated tea and beans! You all know that’s the only reason you have it! Bosch… Smart and tidy
I was fed up of buying microwaves that either rattle or break within a few years of owning. I decided to buy a Bosch microwave as all my other kitchen appliances and power tools are Bosch. I’m so impressed with how well built this this and also how quiet the actual appliance is when in use. The beeping after the timers finished is a little obnoxious, but hey that’s hardly anything to complain about when the rest of it is so perfect. Thanks again Bosch for the quality products you make!
Just to be clear — this product is black. Although the color is listed in the product description as “stainless steel,” it’s black like the photo. I like Bosch appliances and so it doesn’t really matter to me, but for some people that might be important.
Ugly but we’ll made, cooks fine. Looks like it will last for years.
Only annoying thing is the alarm to tell you cooking is complete. You can’t turn it off, it sort of shouts at you.
Would still recommend it as it’s so well made, very industrial.
It’s quality, easy on the eye and works well.
It’s Bosch. You might pay a little more for one of these but you get what you pay for and as far as I’m concerned, Bosch anything is money well spent.
It could be simpler to use but it’s fine, nothing wrong with it.
Now a little further down the road, I would add a couple of things.
If the keypad was illuminated that would be a big improvement.
Perhaps the start and stop buttons could be green and red respectively.
When warming plates it still makes that odd smell? What is that?
Works well, easy to understand instructions
Annoying bleeping sound when cooking cycle as ended
Very high quality microwave, easy to use and visually stunning. Certainly worth a price premium for a premium brand.
One cannot go wrong choosing legendary Bosch quality!
Easy to use for normal things but all in all a good microwave. Bit pricey though.
Works great. Easy to use. No need to button down and read the manual. It’s idiot proof.
