Whilst a good overall box, it can be difficult to close when a simple ring of a couple of keys is inside. Not a problem I have had with other similar boxes.
I was pleasantly surprised at the weight of this keybox. It was very easy to install and not nearly as expensive as some I’d seen previously. Would definitely recommend to people that need that peace of mind as I had managed to lock myself out twice in the space of a week.
This key box is solidly made unobtrusive in its design. Numbers have a very positive feel but move easily and smoothly. Setting the combination was very easy.
The screws provided were really sturdy as well.
My two quibbles, and reason for the 4 stars are:
1. There is no way of attaching the keys and propping them up prior to closing is tricky at times.
2. There are four mounting holes.. brilliant, except that the lower one is awkward to use, as the lid/key pad doesnt swing down low enough for easy access.
Still a very good buy though. I have now purchased three for our uses.
Product is nice and sturdy and easy to fix to the wall with the screws supplied. My only criticism is I would like the holding capacity to be a bit deeper, otherwise a great product.
We bought this so our children could get in the house if they forgot their keys/ we were running late home from work. It’s come in incredibly handy whilst we’ve been on holiday too and my parents needed to get in our house. Very easy to install, feels secure and robust. The little cover protects the numbers which is handy! The numbers are a little stiff to turn the first couple times but that’s expected and they do loosen up somewhat. Very well money spent in our opinion and wished we’d bought it sooner! Definitely recommend.
Was easy to install with the supplied bolts. We put it in at my Father-in-Laws house. It is easy to change the code and I believe good value for money; however only installed it a few days ago. Give my wife and I peace of mind when we go away on short breaks.
For the price this is a nice key box. It has been on my holiday rental property for six months and everyone has been able to use without any problem.
After locking myself out the other day and having to climb in through a bedroom window I decided to finally get a key safe. Checked online and picked this one due to its sturdy look and easy fitting, the price was reasonable also. Does the job nicely thank you.
Ordered on the evening of 30th April arrived lunchtime Monday 1st May. Put on the wall Tuesday 2nd May. Seems like a good safe. Sturdy build. It would have gotten five stars if there had been a hook inside to hang the key on. There is a hole in the back of the safe for what it’s for I do not know. I read on reviews it can let rain water in. I put a piece of double sided tape over it and so far I see no water getting through.
I think there could be better bolts to secure the box. However, you can easily buy these yourself. The ones supplied are workable, but I’d like to replace them. The box misses a hook inside. Odd why it isn’t there.
The product does what it is designed to do. Quality and finish are fine for an outdoor location.
However; I live in a ground floor flat whose entry is from a communal hall, not from an outer
front door.
The product is black (though described as grey on your web page) and doesn’t really lend itself
to blend with indoor decor.
A choice of product colour would be helpful and a good selling point.
Appears to be well made and strong enough to keep yours keys safe from all but the most determined and well equipped thief. However, having used a 6mm masonry drill as instructed the resulting holes were a little large and the bolts supplied did not tighten sufficiently securely. To save drilling new holes, I used small off cuts from plastic rule plugs, slid them in the holes before inserting the bolts and the job was done. It may therefore be an idea to check the security of the first hole drilled before proceeding with further drilling.
But you will need a power drill
Does the job !
Seems to be the same decent quality as previous key safes, easy to install, weatherproof with the backing applied, pleased with this purchase
I now have peace of mind, that I have a safe way of entering my home if ever I lock myself ou
Did not have the correct tool, had to get a chap in to fit it.
Solid unit. However I had to use rawlplugs (not supplied) as my bricks are too soft for coach bolts that come with unit.
Easy to install and very secure. Impressed with the quality.
Just what was needed after having got ourselves shut out of the house once. Easily fitted and seems to be weatherproof so far.
Left key for contractor to carry out work on site.
Purchased for my mum to store spare key in incase she gets locked out.
We’ve all left the house without our keys. This key safe will allow you to store a spare key to get you and others, who you pass the 4 digit code to, access to your house.
Felt slightly less sturdy than ones I’ve gifted to others, that said it’s on the wall and seems fit for purpose. Ex put it up for me, quickly and easily, it’s about having the right tools and ability. I’m sure I could have done it if I’d had a drill!
Fittings not great. Reverted to using normal screws with rawl plugs
My son and daughter keep loosing the keys. So this was the answer. A few screws to fit it and job done.
Top quality bit of kit. Straightforward instructions and fitting. Very happy with this now installed at the back of the house.
Well pleased. Easy installation. Complete with fixing bolt/screws.
Well pleased
This was so easy to fit. From drilling the holes to tightening the screws it took only 5 minutes, and the fixing is rock solid. Changing the combination is also simple, I love i
I like that a spare key can be in a safe place but why don’t the key safe have a hook to hang the key on? seems a little odd, you have to put key in and shut it quick so key don’t fall ou
Easy to configure and mount, very sturdy – well recommended
Nice product, and easy to fit. Mark the holes using the key safe not the template and your good to go. Handy to keep a spare key for the kids or if you lose your own.
Fitting was easy with the no-rawlpug fixings. Looks good and sturdy. Combination easy to set up.
Provided you have the right size drill bit and a flat enough patch of brickwork this is straightforward to fit. Though there was a thin adhesive foam template which the instructions did not include and it was not clear whether that forms part of the weather proofing. I pressed it inside against the back of the case. Overall it is a well made product and good value.
It’s a good alternative to the masterlock lockboxes however the quality is slightly worse. Does the job 🙂
Easy to install so long as you have the right bits for your drill. Looks to be completely weatherproof. Feels very sturdy. All fitting and setting instructions are easy to follow. Good value for money.
We purchase these for our clients and have never had a problem. Very reasonably priced and do exactly what we need them to do. Perfect! No need to be buying expensive ones
This is a tough box and is easy to mount, but don’t expect to put in a large bunch of keys
Easy to use and install but check the template for the position of the holes as my template was slightly off. Mark the location of the holes through the back of the open key safe.
Template is not accurate. Rawlplugs and screws preferred but…does all that is required. Easy to fix and use. Can change combination as many times as I wish very easily.
The product is reasonably solid but the screws to install weren’t great quality so I used my own. The number dials are a little fiddly to turn but it does the job and was a good price. All in all a good little key safe
I bought 2 of these and installed one immediately. Very pleased with it. I have now tried to install the second one and the code I set to open it will not work. It is too late for me to return it. Can the manufacturer or anyone else tell me how I can ‘zero’ it and start again? In hope… M
Unobtrusive little box, but fitting isn’t the easiest. Impossible to get all four drill holes in normal house brick because of their positions. Also it could be slightly larger. We can get a small Yale type of key inside but our garage door remotes, although very slim, proved to be slightly too big. Although they fit inside the locking mechanism gets in the way on closure.
I bought a cheaper wall safe some time ago (ironically for a more expensive house) and put it on the wall out of sight just in case.
Having moved and left the original behind (it was a very expensive house after all), I thought it time for a new one. Did a little research and found this.
It’s easy to install (be careful with the rawl plugs though and make sure you don’t get drill bit ‘drift’) and very sturdy. It’s of better all round quality than the original, looks neater and is a bit bigger inside for more than a couple of keys. Setting the unique code was simplicity itself and total install was under 20 minutes (and that included deciding where to site it out if a few options!!)!
I think it’s great and a bargain at the price I paid!
Okay, this little safe is ideal for any older relatives that lock themselves out frequently or if you need to have a spare key stored outside for emergency visitors or perhaps a care giver. It did take me 3 weeks to install it but that’s more a me thing haha at a once a week visit to my mother’s it was a 7 day wait to being the correct tools xD just remember cover basis, you’ll need a drill capable of drilling through brickwork/exterior walls a decent quality socket set and WALL PLUGS don’t be me and forget the wall plugs haha. The code is easy to reset/change and if anyone manages to pull it from a wall, your keys will remain safe inside unless an angle grindr is present. Once attached to the wall securely you can rest assured that any key placed within is not coming out without the code or as mentioned something like an angle grinde
OK, the actual safe is not a bad product, seems sturdy and works as it should but it is sorely let down by the ‘Thunderbolt’ fixings.
It states drilling a 5mm hole and screwing in by hand, then tightening using a drill/driver or socket..good luck.
I managed to hand tighten about 1 thread, then used my Drill/Driver which managed to screw them in about half way, before the clutch kicked in, I then moved to the socket set, managed to get the bolt in up to the last 2 threads but very very tight to turn, it states not to over tighten.
That was the first bolt, the second one sheared off at half depth (yes I’d drilled the stated 50mm deep), so I decided to open up the holes to a 5.5mm, which helped a lot, although the bottom hole is very difficult to get to, because of the door.
It’s up and appears strongly fixed, although it’s only held with 3 bolts and 1 of those not fully tightened.
The safe I would recommend, the ‘Thunderbolts’ are a different matter and I would recommend using some other type of fixings.
