What I love the most about the DrinkMate is that you can carbonate any drink. There are similar products that require you to carbonate the water first and then add the flavor, which limits what you can make. I highly recommend this product.

A friend of mine recommended this over the name brand everyone thinks of and I couldn’t agree more. I can use whatever flavoring I want instead of being locked into a specific brand of products. I use mine to add sparkle to flavored water, creating a Bubly like product.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersEasy to use and creates fantastic drinks that replace my expensive La Croix addiction. I’ve also “sparkled” juices and alcoholic beverages, which is lots of fun and was a big selling point for the DrinkMate over other machines, since doing anything other than water will void the warranty. Fun and hopefully cost effective down the road, not to mention reducing aluminum can waste. Go ahead and order additional drink bottles and keep them filled with cold water in the fridge to make the process faster.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersBeen using it a TON and it is perfect for me. Simple and multifunctional. Only issue is the CO2 canisters cost a fortune. I knew this going in but I got the two pack cuz I wanted to test the product. Since it’s perfect for me I invested in a tank and adapter with gauge and for $45 fill up on this 20 lb tank I will get roughly 18 months of heavy use probably 6 to 8 bottles per day. The drink mate canister lasted 30 days of 2 bottles per day. So really adds up!

You can fizz up anything! Admittedly I mostly use it for making sparkling water, and I generally add Soda Stream drink mixes or the syrup you use for making Italian Soda to it. But I’ve also fizzed up juices with varying degrees of success and you can use it for wine, too.

It saves me money on soda, which I’m now drinking more of but with a fraction of the sugar so it’s probably less hazardous to my health, and it’s easy to just use all the time with minimal maintenance required. Great buy… but I might buy some extra fizzing bottles so I can store more drinks in the fridge without having to transfer them to other containers and waste precious bubbles!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEasy to use and clean. Makes excellent ‘Prosecco’ from my wine of choice, (Pinot Grigio). I just wish the ‘Return for re-fill’ system allowed for single cylinders instead of both. Either you buy expensive ‘back-ups’ or go without till new tanks arrive in the mail…

Updated review. The lack of communication was Amazons fault, not Drinkmate. Support replaced the device and provided free return for the faulty unit.

Button broke within weeks so the carbonation just shoots out of the top of the machine. Phone and email customer support have not responded in a month. Regret buying it.

One of the best things ab out the Drinkmate is that we appreciate about the Drinkmate is that we are not carting plastic water bottles home from the supermarket anymore. Plastic is wasteful and a drain on the energy of a 78 year old (health-wise). We always keep 6 bottles already carbonated in the fridge , so they are ready to go when we are! The flavors are an added bonus, if you so choose. Everyone can have what they like — quick , easy and mess-free. Love, love, love. … and the footprint it occupies on our counter is minimal, given its impact on our family.

I had cheapest Sodastream I bought years ago, and hardly used because no matter what I couldn’t get it fizzy enough for me. I pulled it out recently and tried again using new canister and tips from online, but still wasn’t impressed. Then I saw this, and drooled over it’s ability to fizz things other than water. Aldi’s pineapple wine was a wonderful first attempt, and I used almost every day now!

I chose this one because it can carbonate any beverage except items with pulp which wouldn’t make sense to me anyway. I love it, the bubbles are great. I even save money because in the past I would toss flat sosa7, now I rebubble it and it’s delish, like new.

I bought it at amazon prime day, just for 99 included 2 CO2 Cylinders. I’m very happy that I don’t need to buy a bottle of sparkling water now. And my daughter said that this sparkling water is better than purchased one.

I bought this as we like fizzy water but don’t like adding to the plastic pollution. It is very sturdy, attractive and has a gas canister replacement scheme.
Bought this as it had far better reviews than its competitors – especially soda stream which few people seem to have anything good to say about!

I was sick and tired of my drinks being flat after using a half-full bottle of mixer from the fridge. This is super! You can gas pretty much any drink from water to mixers or cordial. You can even make up your G+T, Aperol Spritz etc, gas it, then store in the fridge for later. You can get 0.5 or 1 litre bottles – I tend to use the smaller. Don’t go mad with gassing mixer drinks though – a light invigoration is enough or all you taste is the bubbles!

This is a wonderful machine. I have been carbonating everything I’ve been drinking. The bubbles are small and crisp and nothing is safe from being carbonated at this point. I would recommend carbonating a Caprisun and wine. Also – it’s a lot better to buy the CO2 cartridge every once in a while than lug sparkling water home after every grocery store trip. Personally, I think it’s a good investment if you are one who enjoys carbonated beverages.

I drink a lot of seltzer. My DrinkMate is easy and FAST to use, lets me add any flavor, and gives me a choice about the level of fizz. With a gallon of cold water in the fridge, I can make a new bottle of seltzer in less than a minute. I bought two extra bottles so I can have several flavors ready. And no more cans or bottles to recycle! One of the best things i’ve bought in months.

I am very pleased with my Drinkmate. It is sturdy, and easy to use. I have it sitting next to my five-gallon bottle of spring water in my workshop. The 750 ml bottle is just the size for filling a wine, juice or water bottle. I keep a bottle of sparkling water in my workshop refrigerator. When my supply is gone, I simply fill up the Drinkmate bottle with spring water, screw on the cap and insert it into the Drinkmate holder. Then three one-second pushes of the button releases enough CO2 to do the job. I then remove the bottle, unscrew the top and pour the water into my recapable Grolsch bottle and place it into the refrigerator to cool. The effervescent lasts for days and it has never gone flat on me since I drink a bottle probably every 2-3 days. A little shake of the bottle ‘wakes up’ the bubbles! The whole process takes less than a minute! I am very pleased with the product which seems to cost me about $0.18 per bottle compared to $0.78 in the store! I have not yet sought out replacement CO2 cartridges, but from what I read, they are readily available with trade-ins.

I drink a lot of water. It gets boring. I hate buying small bottles of fizzy water and the big ones lose their fizz before I can finish them. Plus I hate having bottles pile up. I’ve had my eye one one of these carbonators for awhile and finally took the plunge. This one got good reviews, has free returns for used canisters and has the added bonus of being able to carbonate beverages other than water without voiding the warranty. Mostly though, I use it for water and mix in a little juice or tea for a nice refreshing beverage. Fizzy hibiscus tea is the best.

The rate of bottled carbonated water my family goes through and my own Dr Pepper Zero habit, I decided to buy a carbonator. I read an article on CNET rating the different carbonators. Sodastream seems like the go to but expensive. I wasn’t aware that there were other brands. The Drinkmate met all of my criteria. Price being the biggest factor, it’s rating, and the fact that it’s described as being able to carbonate anything. The other descriptions never mention this. Drinkmate offers different bundles. The most inexpensive one is very basic. It comes with a bottle but no carbonation canisters. Drinkmate sells other bundles that include canisters. I got the medium priced bundle with 2 large canisters. The price of buying canisters separately is more expensive than what I payed for this bundle. However Drinkwell sends a coupon and prepaid return label to return used canisters and Amazon and Target also have canister trade in programs. As my pics shows, set up is easy. The directions tell you to wash out the bottle and fizz infuser before first use. These aren’t dishwasher safe and I used a pink silicone bottle washer, also purchased on Amazon, to easily wash the bottle. On the sides of the fizz infuser are little black tracks. This is to slide into and remove from the infuser adapter. When opening the back before installing the canister, there’s a black cap that comes out and disposable. The canister also has a removable disposable black cap and the gold top is screwed into the back of the carbonator. It’s a little difficult to screw into and takes a little effort before it attaches. I bought sodastream’s version of Diet Dr Pepper brand of syrup Diet Dr Pete, and couldn’t be more satisfied. To me it tastes better than the original. I also put some lemon juice, and crystal light into bottles to carbonate and my family loved it. I hate flat soda but 2 hours after making, my soda’s still well carbonated. I feel this will more than pay for itself. I’ll update if any problems.

I love sparkling water but like most people did not like the carrying the bottles from the supermarket.

Bought this following the reviews and it is just perfect. Sits nicely on the work top. Although my first use I couldn’t quite work out how to disconnect the bottle from the machine but once you do it once it is simple.

Takes a couple of minutes to fill container, add gas and ready to go.

Most used counter item outside of coffee maker. So easy to use we are buying two more bottles. We love to water down juices and carbonate them. Efficient, convenient, easy to use and almost no cleaning!! Sooo happy. Someone suggested rocking the bottle, after the quick carbonation shots. We find that helpful to ensure maximum carbonation. This thing pays for itself quickly, especially with prices of everything going up.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersEasy to use. Great Carbonation. No power needed. Love the option of adding fizz to old pop, juices and whatever else sounds fun with bubbles, but take it slow because it will spit foam out if you use anything but water if you go too quickly… which makes sense. First try, only fill the bottle halfway or so. Definitely awesome though. So glad not to have so much sparkling water can waste, not to mention increasing the life span of two liters. Like it much better than my Soda Stream, I had the fancy glass bottle one and even just comparing sparkling water, this one is lighter, easier to use, and doesn’t get that weird soggy smell the canister of our Soda Spring used to which seemed impossible to clean out. If you want a way to make things have bubbles, this is the way to go.

I purchased this mostly with the promise of being able to carbonate any liquid. I like many things about the DrinkMate. I like that it doesn’t require power so it’s easy to find a place on the counter since it doesn’t need an outlet. It doesn’t take much footprint space though it is tall. I also purchased two 1/2 liter bottles. I like these even better than the one liter bottle that comes with it. The smaller quantity seems just right to carbonate. My favorite is to add a couple maraschino cherries and a splash of the sweet cherry juice…so yummy!

Tips…COLD water. Carbonate, release pressure, carbonate again. Ready to go! And try the 1/2 liter bottles!

My only hesitation is whether this will actually be cheaper in the end. I love not having so many cans/plastics around. As a state with bottle redemption, it’s become such a pain to do this chore. I’d like to mess with hooking this up to a CO2 tank from a liquor store to see if that is a more affordable option. Time will tell.

I’d like to using it, it was fun making drinks, my only problem with it is that I guess we just used it so much because one tank only lasted a week.. So it’s kind of a lot of money. Otherwise there’s nothing wrong with it.

After buying seltzer for years I was always curious about the source of the water. Some store brands just say bottled in New Jersey. I had visions of someone filling bottles with a hose and adding carbonation. This simple system lets me carbonate water from a reliable source-me. Whether it’s my own filtered water or a nice bottle of Fiji, it tastes amazing. Great it you like it plain or want to make something with flavor. We made a homemade cream soda that was better than anything in the store. Also, I had a bottle of tonic water that had gone a little flat… one little burst and it was good as new.

I LOVE my new Drinkmate ! I have been using it every day for a couple of weeks now, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Beside the socio/political reasons that I have for not wanting to support Sodastream products, I can’t understand why anyone would want to limit themselves by buying this type of device that can only carbonate water. With the Drinkmate, I have been fizzing up all kinds of juices. Lemonade is particularly delicious. (just have to strain out any pulp first) I also use the 100% fruit juice choices that various brands offer, like Cran/Rasberry, etc. I highly recommend this product !

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our Users…but I never did until now. Avoid the Soda Stream syrups unless you want a diet soda (for that, the syrups are pretty good but Im not a fan). Look for soda syrup made from cane sugar if you want to replace your regular store-bought soda options. 4 stars because there is little practice involved to get the carbonation and flavor right, and because its hard to achieve *extreme* carbonation in something that is really sweet… but this system works quite well and we aren’t disappointed. I especially like to make half strength (approx) soda to reduce calorie intake and the cane sugar based syrups dilute nicely with this approach. Cost of use is probably half the cost of store bought soda (considering syrup consumption only, I havent been able to factor in the CO2 yet). We would buy this again.

You do have to follow the directions, once we all got the hang of it even my teen can make his own soda. One cannister has lasted about three months so far. We use the machine about every other day. I thought the pricing was excellent for the machine (in red) plus two co2 cannisters.

We now have seltzer for drinks on demand. No more buying, storing, and wasting partially used bottles. Just make sure whatever you are carbonating is close to 40 degrees for maximum carbonation. We pour straight from our filter pitcher in the refrigerator. We’ve also taken refrigerated white wine and turned it into sparkling wine. I’d recommend buying the accessory pair of half liter bottles if you are working with quantities for a couple servings. Less air space in the container means less wasted CO2. Also use the manufacturer’s tip of shaking the carbonated bottle after removing it from the machine but BEFORE releasing the pressure and removing the fizz infuser cap. Somehow this forces more carbonation into the liquid. If you have left over sparkling liquid you can store it in the refrigerator with the included screw top cap for 24 hours with only a small loss of effervescence. Highly recommended!

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersI like the simplicity. the unit runs on CO2 and nothing else – no electric needed. You can also carbonate anything you want. So far I’ve only done water but I’m sure I will experiment soon. Refrigerate the water before carbonating, then carbonate, let it sit pressurized in the fridge until you want to use it (at least a half hour) and without releasing the pressure, carbonate again. The single-pass carbonation is a bit weak for me but do the 2-pass and it is just as strong if not stronger than store-bought.

I’d also recommend buying the half-liter bottles. For us the full liter was too much and just wasted CO2.

I bought the unit with 2 CO2 cylinders included which I think is perfect. Do yourself a favor and buy one of the adapters here that lets you fill from a standard 5 pound CO2 cannister. You can get the 5 pound cannisters at most liquor stores for about twenty bucks plus a deposit and you can refill the drink mate cannisters over 5 times with it. that’s about four bucks a refill compared to the $15 plus shipping that drink mate will charge you.

All in all a good unit that I would buy again.

Loooooveeeee this product!!! My husband and I only drink sparkling water when we go to restaurants, and in general drink mostly water, we don’t like sodas that much. And we don’t buy bottled water because who wants all that plastic?! So we were missing out sparkling water, and this product was the perfect solution. I was a little skeptical about the end result, but it turned out to be just perfect! Nice, crisp, sparkling water. We absolutely love it!!! So easy to use, doesn’t need to be plugged in (I honestly don’t understand why there are some electrical ones, pushing that pump is the easiest thing, and you only need to do it 2 or 3 times) super lightweight and small enough. I love everything about it!

I know a lot of reviews say that this machine is better than the sodastream. I’ve never used sodastream, so I can’t say either way. I personally was avoiding sodastream for human rights reasons.

This is awesome! I should have bought one years ago. Working from home since March due to COVID, I was drinking bottles of fizzy water at home and limiting myself to a half bottle only per day due to my aversion to single use plastic. Now I am drinking two Drinkmate bottles a day of water and not having to buy all those plastic bottles so it saves money too. Really a great product and I’m using it in conjunction with a fruit-infuser pitcher to make healthy, fruit-infused fizzy water.

We are big seltzer drinkers in our home and got tired of purchasing and disposing of cans. We decided to get the DrinkMake Sparkling water maker this past Christmas and have been enjoying it ever since. So far it works like a charm. Easy to use and the 60ML CO2 canisters last quite a while with regular usage (we got a few months out of the first cartridge). I have also fizzed cranberry juice in it and coconut water and learned quickly for non-water beverages to fill it only halfway as they tend to fizz a lot more. I would definitely recommend this product so far.
