A bit fiddly, But once you get the hang of it, it’s quite addictive, Strips outer cable perfect but the smaller inner cables you’ve got to get the set up right or it shreds the cable ,apart from that it’s a good little cable stripper, Thank you
I would highly recommend this cable stripper.
The quality of the build is very good, and makes light work of stripping cable
I use a drill and have screwed to the work bench as a temporary as and when I use
the only improvement I would make is a small set of instructions to make setting the cutter up
once you have got the guide and the hight in the right place it works so well
He went to his garage with this contraption and stripped wires for hours
A bit fiddly to set up and needs to be adjusted for each wire size, but works very well.
It took me a while to work out what height to set for the cutting blade, but once it was done it was great.
Once fastened to the table, quick chamfer on the guides and once the blade is set correctly its like a jack russell, only little but rips up anything. Gave it single cores, YY, 5 core 2.5 SY and it laughed at all of them. Couple of tweeks here and there to get it going but once it’s set its mint ma
Have to snip the end of the sheath as it doesn’t seem to slice it.. probably loses tension on the last bit but it pulls the cable through easy and quick and cuts it nicely!
Not tried on thinner cable yet but see no reason it wouldn’t do the same.
Time will tell how long blade lasts but so far so great!
Perfect for the value. Quick release will be a good idea, as if wire is longer it takes a time to lift the blade, but otherwise is brilliant tool, does the job, better then I thought.
Every time it has to get adjusted for the specific size of wire.
But is doing a good job so far wants is set up.
